With one last look at Sal's blushing features, Seth brushed her cheek with a pale hand. If only she returned his feelings . . . he wasn't sure if it was momentary high, or if she really did like him. After all, you can hold a crush on someone for forever, and just because they show potential interest doesn't mean they have been holding a torch for you as long as you have for them. I wonder if she's ever seen me as interesting?
Seth let go of Sal's hand to get his keys and unlock the car. It was old, falling apart, and small . . . but it worked.
"Anybody hungry?" he asked, opening Sal's door for her and helping her get inside - on the passenger's side of the car. "I know of a place where we can get free lunch."
Stepping around the hood, he moved into the driver's seat. Quirking a pierced brow, his blue eyes scanned over the two passengers. "Or does anyone else have money?" Seth laughed. "I think it's new fashion to be broke nowadays."
With a slight smile, the teen started the car and revved the engine. The vehicle sounded like a dying animal - stuck in a trash compactor.

" I am starving!" I say and laugh "and broke" I smile "I am up for anything you are Seth..as long has they have coffee" I smile again staring at seths lips...I wasn't sure why but there was just something about his lips i liked..always have just never really paid attention to him I guess..
which was a shame I could have gotten to know him better a lot sooner.

"Great," Seth said, turning around to pull out of the parking space. "We'll head on over then. I know the guy that owns the place. He's pretty cool."
The entire five minutes it took to drive to the small cafe were like torture for the teen. With Sal sitting a mere few inches away, his eyes kept drifting over to her. Unfortunately, Seth had to force himself to keep his eyes on the road. He drove quickly, but not one traffic law was broken as they gently stopped in front of a run down building.
Pulling the keys out of the ignition, he stuck them in his pocket and stepped out of the car, heading over to help Sal out of the car. "Just be nice to him," Seth said, his voice low, "he's been in a few accidents in his time, but he's really not that bad of a guy."

"ok" I say and followed seth. the whole ride here I noticed seth was distracted..but with what?
I know I couldnt stop staring at his lips which seemed creepy...but I couldn't help myself.
I wonder if he thinks I am easy..like every guy I have come into contact with..ugh please seth dont be a jerk.

When the trio stepped into the cafe, a large man in a wheelchair rolled up to them, blurting out a loud exclamation in a foreign language. Seth chuckled, slapped him on the shoulder, and replied in the same tongue. It sounded like German, though Seth's accent was far too American to do it justice.
"This is Jack," Seth said, and the man nodded vigorously, extending a huge hand to first Sal, and then Alex. "He says 'hello' and 'why do you keep bringing all of your friends in with you'." The teen grinned. "You know that's not true, Jack. I never bring anyone."
"True, true," the large man laughed, loud and booming. His voice was like you'd imagine coming from Santa - deep, loud, and jovial. "Yer a good kid, Seth. Now, what can we get all of you today?"
Seth stepped back and linked his gloved fingers through Sal's, smiling at the guy in his wheelchair. "Don't feel sorry for this big boy," he said, "He's more than capable of making us all our meals and coffee." Pulling gently on Sal, the youth led his friends over to a corner booth to sit. Jack followed, careful not to bump into any chairs or tables.
"I guess I'll start?" Seth asked, looking at Alex and Sal. "Just some coffee for me, Jack."

sal blushed when Seth grabbed her hand, she hide her expression with her hair" umm a large burger with fries and a root beer and a coffee on the side" it was a mouth full and she knew that, she liked food almost as much as she was beginning to like seth.

As they waited for their food, Seth sighed to himself. Sal sat beside him, and it was driving him insane - in a good way. He distractedly fingered his lip ring, forcing himself to keep his eyes off of the girl sitting next to him.
When their coffee arrived, Seth smiled at the waitress (he had known the old woman since he was a toddler) and took a long draw from his mug.
"So," he sighed, putting the coffee in front of him. "Tonight at my place?" His blue eyes shone with joy, and Seth looked excited.

It was cute how excited he looked, "Yup" I say sounding excited myself.
and I was I mean I was going to hang out with seth tonight how awesome was that?
"soo...what are we going to do besides look at fireflies?" I ask knowing I sounded easy...and I look away hoping he didnt get the wrong idea.

Seth caught her self-disgusted look, and he quickly reached out and grabbed her chin. "Hey," he said, "Alex and I can grab some food. Perhaps some music. It'll be our own private party." The dark-haired teen smiled at Sal. "Except it's in my parent's backyard, and I have a curfew."
Jack called out a finished order, and a few plates appeared at the table for the three friends. Seth shouted something in what sounded like German to the cook, who replied happily. They laughed together, despite being all the way across the room from one another.
The teen turned his attention back to Sal as he gladly accepted his food. "You have anything you wanna do? Cards or something? Nothing at all?" Seth grimaced. "Perhaps some unfinished homework?"

" That sounds wonderful, our own party" I say very happy that he is so sweet.
what did I want to do? I shrug not knowing an answer right away and begin eating my food.
i couldn't wait to be at Seth house tonight, i mean Alex will be there so its not like a date or anything besides Alex is pretty cool...

"Just to let the both of you know," Seth said, wiping his face on the back of his gloved hand, "my parents aren't too keen on having company. Especially if I invited them." He shrugged, his blue eyes closing. "After I stop by the store, I have to go inside for a few minutes. I'll meet you out by the pond when I can get away."
Looking back and forth between Alex and Sal, the punk-themed teen smiled. "But other than a bit of disobedience, I'm good for the whole night. Until curfew, that is. Mom likes to check in on me to make sure I'm in my bed."
Seth finished his food quickly, then slowly sipped his black coffee. "If you guys wanna snag some food, we can eat out there while waiting for it to get dark. That's when the real fun begins."

I nodded in agreement,"sounds good, lets take this food to-go" I say asking for a box to put my food in. for later, Seth being a rebel made him all that more desirable. At least to me.
I sipped my coffee and started at Seth when he wasn't looking, he was so ..cute.

Calling something out in the gutteral language that Jack seemed to enjoy speaking in, and a few minutes later everyone had their food packed up and ready to go.
"After school, meet in the parking lot?" Seth asked quirking a pierced brow in question. The trio had just piled back into his small car, and the drive back to school was just as rushed as the drive to the cafe. Locking the doors, the youth playfully punched Alex in the shoulder, laughing at a comment from the new boy. He then cast his blue eyes over to Sal, and reached out a gloved hand to entwine his fingers in hers.
"We'll all walk to class, apologize for being three minutes late, and meet after the day is over. I'll show you where I live, and you can wait for me there. Sound good?"

Sal let him grab her hand, she liked holding his.
"sure, Ill be there" she says and smiles, and gets out of the car with seth and heads towards the school hand in hand with seth, and alex on the other side of me.
"they wint even notice me being late.." she says to seth with sad eyes.

"All the better then, eh?"
Seth leaned over to kiss her cheek before waving at both Sal and Alex. "See you after school."

When the tall youth got to class, he recieved yet another detention, but for later on that week. With a grimace, Seth sat in his seat, shoving the slip of paper into his black pant's pocket.
Waiting for class to end, the boy pulled out his book and pretended to read. Only two more classes to go, and then he'd meet his new friends out by his old car. He would finally have someone with him to see the pond after dark - just what he'd been wishing for.

((Alright, if you want to describe some of the classes, go ahead . . . if not, just say something like "the day was long" or somewhat, and then go meet Seth by his car. :D))

Keith brushed away stray strands of brown hair from his dark face. The 24-year-old teacher tapped his foot as he stood by the board waiting to catch Seth's attention. His young student had been staring distractedly out of the large windows that lined the big classroom.

"Hey kid," the older man said, coming up to flick the boy's forehead. "Pay attention."

At this, some of the other teens snickered, but he shot them a warning look.

"Don't act as if you lot are any better," he told them. "I see everything, even those porn mags you're trying to hide behind that book, Daniel."

The other boy quickly stuffed something into his backpack, and his friends that were so closely crowded around him shuffled their desks and chairs into their original position. All were muttering something akin to 'stupid teacher' with embarrassed looks on their faces.

"Now, Seth, answer question number four."

Paying attention was something Seth rarely did, considering lectures always made him zone out. Not to mention the fact that what they were supposed to be reading was boring as all heck. Seth did best when studying with others, or even just reading alone. He usually made up for his lack of in-class activity by doing work at home.
The teacher stepped up to his desk when he happened to be daydreaming again.

"Ah," Seth blushed a bit, looking down to the page where the indicated question was. "Question four?" Swallowing, he quickly scanned over the problem. It was something about the story they had supposedly just read - that Seth himself had pretended to read. Since he had scan read the chapter, the teen was able to stumble out a reply that was half right.

A small sigh escaped the darker man's lips. He gave Seth an amused smile.

"Alright, I'll accept that. Now let's move on to Shakespeare's Sonnet 138.. I'll give you extra credit if you read it out loud for me, Seth."

The rest of the students groaned. Shakespeare again for another hour.. just one more hour until class is over. Even like this, Keith continued to smile as if enjoying his class's torment.

[Sorry I'm kinda sleepy. Been up for almost 24 hours now. xD 'Night.]

Seth nodded, and began to read. Reading he could do just fine. In fact, he enjoyed it. It was the things the class read that drove him insane - at least he always made up for his absentmindedness.
In all actuality, Seth liked Keith. He was a good teacher, and a good man. That, and he gave him ways to make up with extra credit.
His voice was smooth, and he rarely stumbled over any words as he read to the class. Seth enjoyed doing this; it was what he would occassionally volunteer to do.
I guess Keith caught on. . . .

Kayla sat in the back of the class and watched as Seth read the sonnet.
He's not so bad.
Kayla put her head and listened to him read until she was completely knicked out. This girl took lazy to a whole new level.

When sal stumbled into class, the other kids laughed and snickered as she walked to the back...and put her head down.
it did not bother her so much, after all she was going to hang out with seth tonight...sal got butterflies just thinking of it.
