(minty go ahead and continue Leir's character entered the blood bank you work at)
[Leir, I'd like to know what your character looks like :) the link to his picture says the photobucket account is inactive ]
Tala looked up from the computer screen and over her counter to the empty front desk. She didn't notice a man walk in and only realized he was there after hearing the knocking and the bell ring. Usually the front desk was manned by one of her pale co-workers but the woman had to go hand some papers to one of the doctors of the blood bank. "Hi, can I help you sir?" the black haired woman asked as she stood up from her chair to get a better look at the man. |
( I suppose this thread has died :( )
[Most likely...]
( well we may have a new joiner soon)
(( LET. THIS. THREAD. LIIIIIIIIVE. ))
He smiled and looked her over. "I uh... well, rumor has it that one can... get blood here?" He smirked and leaned over the counter eyeing the woman. Was she a vampire... or human? His black hair shifted, bright silver eyes nearly gunning her down. |
[Yay Leir! :D You're back~ I still need your character picture :D]
'Get blood?', Tala thought as she gave the man a quizzical look. She wondered if she had heard him right. 'Usually people gave blood to a bloodbank.' The new intern did not know about this facility's shady dealings with the occult and did not know that she truly was surrounded by the undead in the building. She contented herself to assuming that he worked for a hospital and that he had come to order some blood for operations. But what hospital doesn't order blood electronically nowadays? She waved off these thoughts. Maybe she was over thinking things a little due to having a stressful day. "Uhm..yeah." she finally said. "For which hospital or clinic are you ordering?" She moved her gaze to her computer to file for a blood order. His silver eyes seemed eerie and unnerving to her. They most definitely were not contact lenses, that much she could tell. "Tala, there will be no need for that." came a cold voice. The head receptionist had returned and approached the black haired vampire. "This way sir, if you please." She led him to the back of the blood clinic where they 'fed' their kind. By now Tala was used to seeing customers like him get special attention. She always wondered what they did in the back and why they always left the place looking less hungry. There's no way they were donating blood, that's for sure. |
( haha! Yes!)
(( Go hereeeee!))
The male smiled and walked past the desk, his lips parting slightly. He watched the human receptionist as he walked past her, smirking. Cutie. He wouldn't mind drinking directly from the source. As he followed behind the dark haired receptionist he hummed. "So, she's new here?" He grinned, tilting his head. He reeked, absolutely reeked, of cigarettes and copper. Blood and tobacco. Hilarious, but fitting. "She's obviously human. And rather naive. Don't you brief the incoming kiddies of what you guys do?" |
Outside the blood bank, a man shrouded in a trenchcoat waited under a street light. He had shining, nearly luminescent white hair and was wearing white-rimmed glasses sporting yellow lenses. He had not been there a minute before, but he also appears to have not moved for a long time. What, or who, he was waiting for was a mystery to all but him. His arms folded, he watched some people pass by and glared at any who dared to stop for too long. Most beings who came near him quickly hurried away, as if they instinctively disliked him from just being near him.
Nihm watched as the boy walked into the blood bank, then felt a strange pins and needles feeling rush over her body. She turned her head slightly and out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the white haired man. What is today? Run into nonhumans day? though this guy was closer to being human than Nihm or the vampire. She sighed and could see how the few actual humans who were out tonight seemed to stray away from the man and she smiled. Least some human instinct still works. She turned and walked by the man, walking past him while saying," Sheep can always smell a wolf in sheep clothing." she grinned to him and kept walking.
"Smart girl. You'd do best to stay away as well. Bad things happen when I'm around." He replies to her, his voice dripping with malice and hostility. He doesn't even move his head or anything, just continues waiting. A few moments pass as he makes a decision, then he calls out to her; "Wait. I need to talk to you."
Nihm stops, and turns her head slightly," Then you best come with me...I have to go see a troll under a bridge about some medicine." Then she starts walking again, this time heading off to the park.
( just so you know I'm gonna play the troll as well, but since he's a one time character, I wont bother making a whole profile for him.) |
"Unbelievable. Doesn't know death when it's staring her in the face." The man says to himself, shaking his head and standing upright away from the wall. He pops his neck and steps into the shadows of an alley next to his spot. And before long, a snow-white cat with a black collar dashes out of the shadows and down the block after the girl, it's tiny bell ringing slightly as it runs.
[[I usually don't make super-long posts, unless it's at a crucial moment or I'm describing a room. Sorry.]] |
( thats fine lol I'm pretty much the same way)
After walking for a few blocks, she finally comes to the park and begins her walk through it to the bridge. About fifteen minutes later she's there, staring at a small stone and cement bridge. She looks around and then sees the cat, shrugs then turns back to the bridge as a voice made of earth itself spoke from the darkness under the bridge," Who is foolish enough to visit a troll at night?" Nihm sighs and replies," A fae who is neither Seelie nor Unseelie but has a headache and wishes to visit the medicine man." grumbling answered her as well as the sound of something clanking around, then a large greenish brown hand came out from under the bridge. long fingers covered in black moss held out a small vile to her. Nihm took the vile, and then removed a bottle from the coat she was wearing and placed it into the trolls hand. She smiled as the hand disappeared and said," There sir troll, liquid sunlight that even a troll can see." The voice spoke up from under the bridge," Till next time fae." She then turned to the cat and motioned for it to follow as she walked away. After a few moments of walking she stopped and turned," Alright whats all this about," she asked as she opened the vile and drank its contents. |
The man melds and shifts into his primary human form again--an unsightly process. The cat grows elongated and it's fur starts retracting as it begins to stand upright, and it's face melds into a more human shape. Paws turn to limbs, and it's ears shift and become more human-like. After a minute, he's back in the same form he was earlier, radiating malice. "It is nothing supernatural, fae. I only asked because you might know." He reaches a hand into his trenchcoat pocket, taking out a small photograph and showing it to her. "Have you seen this person? I require her whereabouts, if you have. And it would not be smart to lie to me." The girl in question seems to be about nineteen, she has long black hair and looks to be human. She's fairly attractive, beyond the norm. The only thing that clues you into her race is a small scribble on the photograph which reads 'SHAPESHIFTER'.
She looks up to the man and smiles," Threatening me will not give you an answer and since you are mostly human, my glamour will still work on you human. Do not think that you can just push your way into getting answers," She turns to walk away mumbling that she should have used him in cat form to pay for her medicine.
A click is heard as he draws his revolver from his hip holster and aims at the back of the fae's head. A moment passes, then he holsters it again. "Not worth drawing attention. Damn fae." He mutters, turning around and briskly walking away. "I will just have to find her myself. You will not escape my wrath so easy, Alexia. Your time is limited and the clock is ticking." He says to himself as he looks for a good place to shift.
She yells out," Never said I wouldn't give you the answer and unless that damn bullet was iron it wouldn't do you any good. You think your the only shifter in town?" She turned to see if he had heard or not..was trying to prove a point not have him walk off.
A minute passes. Then the hostile, 'evil' man walks back into vision, obviously irritated beyond belief. "...do you have information, or do you not?" He says, his voice audibly tense as he struggles not to explode at the girl. "Don't play games, fae, I'm not in the mood for them right now. Either tell me or let me search by myself."
She rolls her eyes," ever heard the phrase you can catch flies better with honey then vinegar?" She then looks him up and down," Course its no wonder your having trouble finding the girl, I bet no one wants to help you huh?" She starts walking," There are a few bars here that shape shifters hang out at considering your kind tends to go more by their animal instincts than human ones. If she's been here long there's one bar she's probably stopped in I can show you."
(Ok..bed time for me, I'll be back tomorrow when I get up) |
