He smiled, nodding, and headed back into the kitchen. He came back with a plate for himself and a glass of Orange Juice. "Here you go." He set it down for her, then sat down and started spread the Strawberry Jelly on his toast.

"Thanks."
she said before getting started on her eggs. She sipped her orange juice and wiped her mouth with a napkin. ((My sister's boyfriend gave her a promise ring for Christmas!!!)) |
"Your Welcome." He smiled at her, then dug into his eggs. Carla sat down and started to nibble at her bacon. "So, what are you kids going to be doing today? Hanging out around here, going out?" She looked between them, interested, and Kenshin sipped at his Milk.

"We'll probably go bowling or something."
she said. She ate some of her toast again and then finished up her bacon. |
She smiled. "Well, that will be fun. Now, Kenshin, I won't be home till late again, so if you come home, you'll have to make yourself dinner."
Kenshin nodded, smiling at her. "Don't worry, mom, I can take care of that. We'll probably eat out, though." He looked over at Alex. ((Wow, congrats for your sister (I forgot to put that in my last one xD))) |
((haha. I know you could have lived without knowing that useless shit, but I was happy. It happened two days ago and I found out today.))
Alex nodded and finished up her food. "I'm capable of baking too." she said. After everyone was done, she picked up all the plates and rinsed them off before putting them in the dishwasher. |
Carla smiled at her. "Thank you, dear. Well, I'm off to work. See you later, dear."
Kenshin got up, letting his mom kiss his cheek. "Bye mom. Talk to you tonight." He smiled as she walked out the door, then came into the kitchen. "So, sleep well?" |
"I slept fine, how bout you?"
she responded. She waved to his mom then looked back up at him. |
"Fine." He smiled at her, walking to her and kissing her cheek. "So, what would you like now?" He leaned against the counter, back and arms resting against it.

She shrugged and pulled herself up onto the counter.
"We could go somewhere, like the mall or bowling or something." |
He smiled at her. "Lets hit the mall, we can save the lanes for this evening. Let me go take a shower, and we'll get going."
He headed upstairs, took a quick shower, then changed into a Blue shirt and Black Jeans. He ran a comb through his hair, then came back to her. "So, need me to take you by your place?" |
Alex nodded and grabbed her purse.
"Yes please." she said as she grabbed his cold hand. |
He smiled at her, taking her out to his car, and drove them over to her place. "So, are your parents going to be mad I kept you out all night? I'd hate to get in trouble with them now." He glanced at her a moment, then turned his eyes back to the road.

"No,no,no,no! In fact they would probably thank you."
Alex said. She hopped out of the car and carefully walked across the snow and ice to the door. She quickly opened it and walked up to her dad and hugged him. "Hi dad," then she hugged her mom. "Hi mom, be right back." She quickly ran upstairs. She changed her clothes and put on some make-up. She put a ponytail in her hair then put a headband in. She quickly put on some deodorant and some perfume. 'I'll take a shower later.' she assumed. She ran downstairs and hugged her parents before hopping down the front steps and into his car, panting slightly. "I went as fast as I could." |
He smiled at her as she got back in. "Hey. I would say so, though you didn't need to rush on my account. We've got all day, unless you have any other plans?" He started the car again, putting his seat belt back on.

"Nope."
She said, digging through her purse. She found $22.32 in it for the mall. She set her head back and her eyelids dropped slightly, not because she was tired. |
He drove to the mall humming to the radio. When they pulled into the mall parking lot, he tapped her shoulder. "We're here." He parked as close as he could, a short walk, and got out, waiting for her. "So, where do you want to go first?"

"Somewhere with shoes. I need a new pair."
she said looking at the ones she was wearing. She walked across the parking lot when a drunk person in a white Bravado came flying around the corner and nearly hit her. ((she gets hurt a lot. haha)) |
Kenshin nodded. "Sure, we can do that first. I could probably do with a new pair myself." He glanced down at his own shoes, then back up in time to spot the car. "Watch out!" He grabbed her by the arm, yanking her back just to be safe.

"People these days."
she said as she hugged him for a thank you. She carefully walked across the rest of the lot and into the mall. "Well, we could go to Journey's, DCW, or Payless. Which one?" |
He nodded in agreement, keeping an eye out for them as they crossed. Kenshin thought about it for a moment. "Well, I would prefer DCW, but I am not to picky. If you want to do a different one, that will be fine with me." He opened the door into the mall for her.

"I asked you for a reason! That's fine with me."
she said. She thanked him and walked until they found DSW. |
He smiled at her as they walked. "Ok, I'll remember that." He took her hand in his, and looked over at her. "So, some shoes, what else is on the shopping list?" He walked into the DSW, looking around at the selection and nodding.

"I don't have any more money to spend besides shoes."
she said looking at women's athletic shoes. |
He turned to follow her as she looked for shoes. "Ah. Well, ok then." He looked around the shoes, then went to look around the Men's section. After a little looking, he picked out a black and red pair of shoes, exactly like the ones he already wore, with the red replacing blue outlines.
