Alex smiled at him and laughed a little bit. "You are such a hopeless romantic." she whispered. She walked up to the door and opened it slowly. She was greeted by a big hug from her father.
"There's my girl! Finally growing up to reality!" "Daddy, I was only-" she was cut off by her father saying, "Defending yourself, don't worry this will be our little secret. So who's this?" he asked as he looked at Kenshin. "Daddy, this is Kenshin, my boyfriend." she said quietly as she watched him look over Kenshin. |
Kenshin smiled at the ambush, nodding his head. He found that he liked her father. He extended a hand to him. "Kenshin Anderson, sir. It's a pleasure to finally meet you."

He stared at Kenshin's hand for a few moments, then shook it firmly. "You too kiddo." he said with a big smile.
"Well Dad, we have to go explain this to Kenshin's parents, we'll be back in a while." she said as she grabbed Kenshin's hand and walked to the car. "That went well." |
Kenshin waved goodbye to her father with his free hand, then let her drag him to his car. "Much better then mine will, I'm sure." He shook his head as he opened the door for her, then went around to the drivers side and hopped in. "If things get ugly, we might need to retreat back here, if you don't mind to much." He started the car, then waited for her answer.

"I don't mind at all, I just hope it goes well." she said to the mirror as she brushed her fingers through her hair.

He nodded. "Me too." He put on his seat belt, then drove off to his house. "Ok, so, we'll swing in, hope my mom is there, explain to her what happened, and then figure out what to do next. Or, if my father happens to be home, swing it, duck our heads as he yells at me, then get out of there as fast as we can." He tapped the wheel with his fingers while he waited for a red light.

"Gotcha." she whispered as she took deeper breaths.

As he started to drive again, his cell phone started to ring. "Uh-oh." He pulled it out of his pocket, and opened it. "Hello?"
There was some talking from the other end, a pause, then more talking, from two different voices. "Yes, that's right." Kenshin cut in after about a minute straight of talking, pulling into a parking lot to talk on the phone. "I got suspended." He listened to the talking some more, then nodded, subconsciously, as an answer to a question asked on the phone. "Yes, it was over that girl I brought home, and no, I'm not sorry I hit him." He listened for a minute, then rolled his eyes. "Honestly, Dad, I doubt anyone cares about me enough to notice I was suspended, and even if they did, I would doubt they're running to the papers to ruin your reputation. I doubt you're ruined over this." Yelling followed, and he Kenshin held the phone away from his ear as the voice yelled over it. He looked to Alex with a 'see what I was afraid of' kind of look, then put the phone back to his ear as the tirade dropped off. "Alright, fine, whatever, but I promise you, no one's going to make a big deal out of this. I'll be home later tonight, so can we talk about this more then?" He paused as the two voices spoke up. "Yeah, I'm with Alex now. We'll probably be at her place a while." He listened for a few minutes, then sighed. "You got it, dad. Love you too." He listened as the other voice spoke, nodding. "You too, mom. See you tonight." He flipped the phone closed, then leaned back and closed his eyes, signing heavily. |
Alex hugged Kenshin as an apology after the conversation as an apology, without saying anything. She felt terrible, like it was all her fault.

Kenshin hugged her back, holding her tight. He let go after a few minutes. "So, mind if we go back to your place? I'd rather stay away from mine for the time being." He had shut off the car, and now turned it back on.

"Yeah, my dad won't mind. He likes you." she said as she smiled.

Kenshin nodded, heading out of the lot and towards her house again. "Well, I guess I'll probably get some kind of punishment when I get home. Allowance is usually the first thing to go, but who knows in this case." He sighed, closing his eyes as they pulled up to the next red light. "At least they never ground me, so my spending time with you should get me through this suspension." He smiled at her, then leaned over to kiss her quickly before going again.

"If you need money, I'm not exactly poor." she said. "And I'd be honored to spend being kicked out of school with the person who got me kicked out." she said with a smile.

Kenshin shook his head, "No, it's not money I'm worried about. I've got a bunch I've hung on to, so I can manage for longer then either of them will suspend it for." He took a hand off the wheel and put it on hers. "As for getting you kicked out, I am still sorry about that. Though at least now we have a week's vacation together." He smiled, keeping his eyes on the road.

Alex smiled and looked over at him. "We've gone everywhere though." she said.

He smiled. "Well, for today, we can just go back to your room." He smiled at her suggestively, then reach into the back seat and lifted a Boarders bag. "Plus, I brought all three seasons of Psych with me." He moved his eyebrows up and down quickly.

Alex smiled at his suggestive grin and laughed when he moved his eyebrows. "Sounds good. And if we run out of movies, that's why Netflix was invented." she said as she smiled at him again.

He nodded as he pulled in in front of her house, shutting off his car and climbing out. "Well, lets grab a snack, then we'll head to your room." He waited for her to lead, since it was her house after all.

"Gotcha." Alex said as she walked up to the door. She walked into the kitchen and grabbed some sliced cheese, milk, and nacho chips. She took out a bowl and placed the cheese evenly on top of eachother around the bowl and poured milk on it. She put it in the microwave and stirred it occasionally. She took out the bowl with the nacho cheese and put some chips in it. "There. Shall we?" she said as she stood at the bottom of the stairs.

He followed her around the kitchen, hunting through the fridge for a soda, and followed her to the stairs. "You bet." He told her, slipping ahead of her and getting the door to her room for her.

She skipped every few steps and smiled at him at the door. "Thanks hun." she said as she walked in.

He followed her in, setting the DVD cases on the TV and opening the DVD player. "So, watch them in order, or randomize them?" He looked back at her as the tray opened, and smiled. "Or should we wait till later for Psych?" He put a playful tone into the last question. |
"Hard decision...I think we can wait." she said as she sat down next to him.

He smiled at her, leaning over and kissing her slowly. He pulled away, smiling at her. "Well then, shall we get a little more, comfortable?" He asked, leaning against her gently.

"We shall." she said as she hopped on the bed.
