"That's all I wanted to hear. I'm sorry I didn't listen to you before...I was too upset to talk. Last night I ripped everything off my bed, slept under it and cried myself to sleep. I know you wouldn't do that to me, at least sober." she smiled a little bit and kissed him, missing the feeling of it.

He pulled her to him again, holding her tight. "I'm sorry, Alex." He sat back. "So, you are, then? Pregnant, I mean. It's confirmed?" He put a hand against his temple, looking shocked, then looked aback at her. "You're going to keep it, I heard you say you were against getting an abortion."

"Well, sort of. Those tests aren't always right, so I'm going to take it again just in case." she said as she nodded. She walked to the kitchen and looked around. "Want some popcorn?" she asked.

He nodded, getting up and following her. "Yeah, sure, listen, Alex." He grabbed her hand to stop her, then held it, looking at her. "I just want you to know, if you do keep it, I promise I'll do whatever I need to support you. I won't abandon you, or my child, if you have it." He squeezed her hand, a serious look in his eyes. "If there is anything I can do to make what happened up to you, please, let me."

"Well, if I do have a baby, I'm hoping you aren't expecting me to do it on my own." she said as she nodded. She saw the look in his eyes and knew he was serious about everything he had said in the past five minutes, none of it was a lie, or just an excuse to get her back. She kissed him lightly and hugged him. "I love you."

He hugged her back. "I love you too, and I promise, we'll raise this kid together, if you have one." He pulled back from her, smiling. "Come on, that popcorn isn't going to cook itself." He walked into the kitchen, and arm around her, and smiled to himself. "You know, you're really cute when you're mad enough to kill me."

"Good to know for future reference." Alex said. She put the popcorn in the microwave and set it for two minutes. She turned around and kissed him again. "I've missed you so much." she said.

He kissed her forehead, then smiled at her. "I missed you too. I can't believe I almost ruined the best thing that ever happened to me." He kissed her, long, and deeply, something he'd wanted to do for two days now. Every missed chance to kiss her and lost compliment was put into this one kiss, to make up for the day he'd put her through.

"Best...kiss...ever," Alex said slowly before kissing him again. "Over that little--" she stopped herself from bad language and nodded, assuming he would get what she meant.

He smiled at her. "Alex, I was over 'that little' for over a year now." He kissed her again, then lifted her up, carrying her towards the couch, laughing.

Alex was surprised he lifted her up and she set her head on his chest for support. she smiled and reached up and kissed his cheek. "Really Kenshin, I love you." she whispered.

He set her down on the couch, then laid down next to her and wrapped his arms around her. "I love you too, Alex, more then anything else." He then kissed her passionately. After a moment, he leaned back, grinning. "So, want to snuggle for a minute while we wait for the popcorn, or just skip straight to the making out?"

"I like cuddling, and this time you won't push me off your lap to go to "bed"," she said jokingly. She sat on his lap and buried her head in his shoulder. She squiggled around to the back of him and gave him a back message. "Better stress reducer that won't get you in trouble," she said about 3 centimeters away from his ear.

He smiled and moaned slightly. "Oh, that's nice. Better be careful, keep that up and you WILL put me to sleep. I haven't slept since we fought." He relaxed into the couch, his face half buried in a pillow.

Alex smiled and kissed his neck gently. "Go ahead, I'll just message you while you sleep." she said as she started to really dig her thumbs in on her lower back.

He nodded, and soon nodded off, forgetting all about the popcorn.

In his dream, he was carrying Alex, and she was carrying a baby, and together they were running from a mob of people with cameras. Every time they were at a door, it closed, and even his father drove off instead of trying to help them. Eventually, the ditched the paparazzi, but were to tired to go on. Finally, they collapsed into each others arms, and slept there with the baby between them.

He slept the rest of the night, unless disturbed or woken up.

Alex was giving him a message for half an hour then she stood up and grabbed a blanket. She threw it over him and kissed his cheek before she ran up the stairs and went to sleep.

The next morning, she ran downstairs and patted Kenshin's chest. "Ken!" she yelled.

Kenshin sat upright, throwing the blanket up in surprise. "Wha-huh?" He looked around. "What's going on!?" He finally spotted Alex, and relaxed. "Oh, Alex, good morning."

"Morning. Would you like me to make breakfast?" she asked.

Kenshin leaned forward a kissed her cheek. "I would love breakfast." He hopped up, and stretched. "Do you mind if I hop in a shower while it's cooking?" As he finished stretching, his stomach growled. "And, you might want to make a big one." He smiled sheepishly at her.

"Go ahead, and I will." Alex said. She kissed his cheek and smiled. She walked in the kitchen and took out six eggs, he said to make it big. By the time she was done, she had made pancakes, eggs, orance juice, and bacon.

Kenshin ran upstairs, and hopped into a quick shower. He was walking downstairs, drying his hair, when he caught the smell of pancakes, and hurried down the last few steps and into the kitchen. He had forgone his shirt, but at least was wearing his pants and he walked up and kissed her cheek. "MMmm, this smells delicious."

Alex threw the last pancake on the plate. "Here, thanks." she said as she handed him the plate. She sat next to him and ate 1 pancake and 2 pieces of bacon.

Kenshin dug in, smiling as he ate everything she had put on his plate. "MMmm, I should let you cook more often." He told her, digging into some of the bacon. "So, what should we do today? I left Psych back at my place, so we'll have to go back there if you want to watch that today." He leaned across the table. "Of course, I believe I left my trunks over here, and I do still owe you a swim, if I recall."

"That you do, and you fell asleep last night so we could combine making out and going to the hot tub at the same time..." she said. She finished her pancake and moved to the bacon.
