Alex brushed her hair back with her hand and bit into some more bacon. "We could...go to a movie, go bowling, go to a water park...what do you want to do?" she asked.

He scratched his chin, thinking. "We could go see Avatar. I hear it's got some good effects." He sipped his coffee, then took a piece of Bacon and nibbled on it.

"Sure, but then what afterwards?" Alex asked. She stroked a pretend beard and ate her bacon.

He leaned back, but smiled at the motion. "Well, how about we go to the movie, then see what we feel like afterwords?" He finished another piece of bacon, then drank the rest of his coffee in one long gulp. He stood, letting out a refreshed breath, and walked to the fridge, where he took out some Orange Juice and poured himself some.

Alex yawned and stretched before drinking the rest of her coffee and eating one more piece of bacon. She put the mug in the sink and sat on the couch.

Kenshin walked to the table, took the last two strips of Bacon off of the plate, and then took their plates to the sink as well. He ran a little water over them, then joined her on the couch, eating one of the pieces of bacon in one long bite, then chewed it up good.

He swallowed, sipped his Juice, then smiled at her. "So, what time should we do the movie?"

Alex stood up and walked over to him. She hopped onto his lap and swung her legs. "Soon. About half an hour. Did I take a shower yesterday?" she asked.

He leaned his head back, then shook it. "No. I should do that now." He lifted her off him and set her at his side, then stood up. "I'll be right back, K?" He headed upstairs towards her Bathroom.

Alex went to the downstairs bathroom and took a shower. She dressed in her outfit for the day and did her makeup for the day. She sat out on the couch again.

Kenshin finished shortly after she got back downstairs. After he was dressed again, he came back downstairs. "Ok, ready to go?"

"Yup." Alex said. She walked to the door and grabbed the handle, then turned around. "I'm driving." she said. She walked out to her car and started it up. She blasted the radio and started driving.

He hopped into the passenger seat, and bobbed his head to the music as he threw on his seat belt. "So, to the movies!" He pointed down the driveway with a smile.

Alex drove them to the movies, avoiding traffic jams, careful as she was. She had a strange habit of putting her index and middle finger on the window, so she did, and drove with one hand.

When they got there, Alex walked up to the ticket station and bought two adult tickets to Avatar. She walked up to the concession stand and looked up at him. "I bought tickets," she said.

He leaned his head back as they drove, and hummed along to the music. When they got there, he headed to the concession stand and bought them both drinks, which he held up. "I got us some Soda. So, need anything else, or shall we go get our seats?"

Alex bought a large popcorn and smiled. "Top of the theater." she said. She ran in and went to the top row of the theater.

Kenshin followed her, smiling as they headed up. He waited for her to pick their seats, then sat next to her and got comfortable for the previews.

Alex hugged her knees like she did during all movies and set the popcorn on the arm rest. She sipped the pop and prepared for the boring previews.

((I'm thinking of Alex temporarily moving for about 8 months-ish((Well do a time skip)) then she comes back, or have her go to the hospital for some reason.))

((Actually, I had a plan for Kenshin [which will work just fine with her going away for some amount of time]. Basically, once she gets back, he's going to get hurt.))

He watched the movie with a smile, occasionally putting his arm around her. By the end, he was smiling widely, and almost jumped out of his chair. "Wow, that was good!" He looked over to her to see what she thought.

Alex stretched and stood up. "Except when I was sipping the last of my pop and the screen went black." she said. She pulled down the bottom of her shirt to hide the skin that was out when she stretched. She walked outside and sat on a bench. "Where to now?" she asked.

((I wuz gunna have her come back preggo, but your idea is better xD.))

Alex quickly answered her phone. "Hello?"

"Alex, hello sweetheart. Um...I need you to come home so I can talk to you."

"Oh? Can I bring Kenshin?"

"It'd be better if you did, go ahead hun. Goodbye."

Alex stood up and grabbed his hand. "To my house."

((HHMMM, actually I like the her coming back Pregnant idea, too. Maybe him finding out is what causes him to get hurt [like, she walks though the front door of his house while he's hammering a nail into the wall, and gets so distracted he nails his thumb, then falls over as the ladder tips]. That probably won't be how he gets hurt, but you get the idea.))

Kenshin was about to answer when her phone rang. He watched her, interested, and then nodded. "Your place it is." He put an arm around her waist, then walked with her to the car. He hopped into the passenger's seat, and belted himself in.

Alex got in as well, put on her seat belt and drove to her house.

When they arrived, her parents were pacing the floor and pointed to the kitchen table. Alex shrugged at Kenshin and followed orders, letting him sit next to her.

"Okay, honey, I know this won't be easy for you or Kenshin, but we're moving...to Florida."Alex's mother said. Her thick, Spanish accent (which Alex didn't receive in her genes,) made her pronounce 'Florida' like 'Flor-ee-dah'.
"Why?" Alex asked slowly. "And when?"
Jenny sighed. "Tomorrow, we just have to pack the living room and the kitchen into boxes and you pack up your room, we would have told you sooner, but we were always out of town, along with you and Kenshin." she said as she nodded at Kenshin.
Tears were streaming down Alex's face and she hugged Kenshin tightly.
"Go get your things packed, the movers are coming in 4 hours, so make it speedy." she yelped as she pointed to the stairs.
Alex ran as fast as she could up the stairs and slammed the door behind Kenshin. She wiped away her tears and looked over at him. "I'm sorry."

Kenshin looked shocked at the revelation, then looked at her parents with anger as he hugged her to him. He followed her up as she ran off, and moved out of the way so she could slam the door.

He quickly pulled her into another hug when she apologized. "It's not your fault, Alex. It's OK." He pulled back to look at her. "I promise, we'll figure something out. Even if I have to move to Florida too, I won't let this kill what we have." He hugged her tight, resting his forehead against her shoulder.

Kenshin's words made Alex smile. She loved him so much, the thing she would least want to do ever, was move away from him. "Well I'm leaving in just a few hours." she said as she kissed him.

He nodded, then his head came up. He looked down at her. "I need to get something from my car! Start packing, this should only take me a minute or two!" He turned, opened the door, then stopped, turned again, and kissed her for a long moment, pulling her close as he kissed her passionately. When they broke apart, he turned and ran down the stairs, taking them two and three at time till he got outside, then looked around his car, cursing as he threw stuff around till he found it.

Alex raised an eyebrow and nodded. She sighed and started packing. She packed everything up and sat on the floor. Her room looked disgusting and boring with nothing in it. She sat and waited patiently for him to come back.
