Alex nodded and grabbed his hand, looking at the nurse who nodded. "Yes please." she said as she slowly started walking.

He switched to hold her her left hand with his, then put his right hand on her right shoulder, giving her extra support. "So, besides boring, how was your day?" He opened the door for her as they reached it.

"It was okay, not too bad. I practically had servants waiting on me hand and foot." Alex said as she smiled a bit. When they got into the cafeteria, she grabbed an apple, a sandwich and chocolate milk and sat down.

Kenshin smiled at her. "Well, at least you had that going for you. Maybe I should get hurt more often. I'm sure my insurance would cover the holiday." He kissed her cheek as they got to the cafeteria, then got an Apple Juice, a Ham Sandwich, and a banana. He waited for her to sit first, then sat across from her. "So, do you know when they are planning to release you?"

Alex took a bite of her sandwich, then told him. "Well, the doctor said depending on how well I am, they may send me home tomorrow, earlier than planned. Or Sunday, it depends." she said.

He nodded, starting on him banana. "Gonna be glad to get out of the hospital?" He smiled, then looked over his shoulder at the clock on the wall. He was expecting his mom to call wanting an update, and probably would want to talk to Alex too.

Alex laughed a little, looking at the clock as well. "Just a little, I've been loving sitting in a place where all there is to do is wait for you, do crossword puzzles, watch TV, and fill out papers describing me and what happened when my father attempted murdering me and my child, yup, barrels o' monkeys." she said, finishing up her sandwich.

He nodded, frowning, and finished his banana. "Well, at least they have visiting hours." He smiled at her. "Imagine have to do all of that without the waiting for me part." He leaned across the table and kissed her cheek, then started on his sandwich.

Alex sighed and shook her head. "Now that my dear could not be done." she said. She pushed away the rest of her food, not being very hungry, and looked back up at him. "Now it's my turn, what sort of pet names do you like or dislike?"

He smiled, shaking his head. "I don't mind anything not over the top. Anything reasonable is acceptable." He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table and resting his chin in his interlocked palms.

Alex laughed, copying his pose. "What's unacceptable?" she asked, bugging him a little bit.

He raised an eyebrow. "I don't know. Let's draw the line at one sweet item in the name. So, Honey, sweetie, etc., is fine, but stops at Sweetie Pie, Honey Buns, so on, so forth." He sipped his juice, then smiled at her. "That ok?"

Alex smiled and stood up, waiting for him to get up. "Sounds good."

Kenshin stood as well, finishing his sandwich. "So, back to your room, then?"

Alex dumped the rest of her not eaten food and walked up to her room with him. She sat back down on the bed and looked up at him. "Wanna...play a game?"

He walked with her, ready to catch her should she tumble. He sat down on the chair near head bed, and tilted his head to her. "Sure, what kind of game?"

"There are a few brain puzzle things in that drawer, but we could play a board game if you'd like." Alex said as she nodded. She laid her head down and yawned.

He thought for a moment, then smiled. "I could be up for a board game, if you want to do one. Any one you'd like to do, or do you know what they have here?" He stood up, so that he could set it up for them when she decided.

Alex took a Scooby Doo 3-D board game out from a cabinet and put it on a small table, setting it up. "Sorry it's so boring here."

He raised an eyebrow, and smiled. "It's no problem. I haven't played a board game in years, so this should be fun. Never played this one, though." He pulled his chair closer.

Alex laughed a little and picked Scooby for her character.

Alex had just rolled over the next morning, when she almost fell off the bed, followed by the doctor catching her. "Thanks..."

The doctor nodded. "It's fine. How are you feeling this morning, Ms. Fransisco?" He picked up the clipboard he had dropped when he had grabbed her, and put a pen to it.

Kenshin woke up from a dream, where he, not her father, had been stabbing her, and the baby had been him, and then he had been replaced by his father, stabbing her, while he was their son, inside her. He swore he wouldn't drink any more coffee before bed, even if that meant getting home from the Hospital a little early. He got up and started to get dressed.

"I'm great, thanks for asking. My waves of pain get less harsh every time." Alex said, smiling a little at him. She walked over to the window and stared out it carefully.
((That's one messed up dream 0.o))

((My dreams can get pretty crazy. Never had that kind of dream before, but I've also never been in those kind of circumstances before.))

He nodded, watching her walk carefully. "We'll run a few tests today, and if they all come back good we'll let you go by the time your boyfriend shows up today." He turned and started to head for the door. "So for now, rest, and I'll be in later for those tests."

Alex nodded and rolled over. She shut her eyes and fell asleep. She dreamed that Kenshin had visited her, and by the time she woke up, she thought it was real. It turned out he was right next to her, just not in her dream. "Hello."
