He shrugged. "I don't know, your brother?" He smiled as the bell rang, and her turned back to the front of the class. "Well?" he whispered as the teacher walked in, "You want a ride or not?" He asked it more lightheartedly then harshly.
|
She felt like she should get a callisteia.
"Of course." |
He nodded, then leaned back and tried to pay attention in class. He knew most of this stuff anyway, but then again, if he didn't sit here for it, the teachers would think he was cheating or something. He finished his paper quickly, then started drawing. He felt he was a decent artist, but since he didn't have anything in particular to draw he just started doodling.
|
She listened carefully, but yet she struggled with the assignment. She still finished it, but it was difficult. She looked over at him when he was drawing.
"Watcha drawing?" |
"Couple of cats." He tilted the papr for her to see. Three little cat-shaped drawing were in the upper left corner of the paper. On of the was poking a ball while the other two watched. "Here," he tore the corner out and passed it to her. "hope you like cats."
|
She laughed and shook her head.
"I have one." She said, taking it. |
He smiled as he let go of it. "Well, now you have some more." He started a new doodle in the other corner.
|
She slid it under the clear, plastic cover of her binder and giggled.
"There." |
He smiled, then went back to drawing. He got up and waited for her as class ended. He helped her between classes the rest of the day. "So, what movie do you want to see?" he asked as the last period ended.
|
"Something not too scary, but with action."
She said as she hopped to the car. |
"Well, I know 'Car Chase 3: Back in Town' is playing, and I think some new buddy cop film came out. Then there's that new action thriller, 'Stolen Identity'."
He headed off, driving down the street. He let the radio play quietly in the backround, to softly to inturrept them. "I guess it depends on what's playing when, since you have a schedual to keep." He glanced over at her and smiled, then quickly glanced back to the road. |
She glanced over at him and smiled too.
"I say we see 'Ninja Assassin'." She set her head back on the headrest and tilted it towards him. |
He smiled. "Oh, I heard that was a good one. Alright, sure." He drove them to the theater, parking them as close as he could get. He quickly hoped out and went around to her side again, getting the door for her.
|
She laughed and got out with his help.
"You don't have to open the door for me every time." she said. |
He smiled as her closed the door behind her. "A gentlemen always gets the door for a beautiful lady." He locked the car and walked with her to the theater.
|
She peeked a small smile at him and stared at the ground.
"I'm so excited." |
He smiled back, then walked up to the ticket area. "Two for the next showing of Ninja Assassin, please?" He set the money on the counter, then took the tickets. "Thanks." He glanced back at Alex with a grin, then opened the door for her. "Want something to snack on?"
|
"I'm fine."
She said quietly. She walked to the theater and sat at the very top. |
Kenshin escorted her up, then glanced back. "I'm going to go grab a drink. Are you sure you don't want anything?"
|
"I'm positive."
She said back to him. She relaxed back in her seat and waited for him to come back. |
After a moment, he returned with a Medium drink and a box of Reeses Pieces. He sat next to her, put his drink in the cupholder, and then leaned back in his own chair, occasionally popping down a Reeses Piece.
|
She sunk down in her chair and immediately popped up when she got scared.
"OH MY GOD!" |
He smiled, enjoying the movie. He put a hand on hers reassuringly, glancing at her.
|
His hand was incredibly warm. She blushed a bit without looking at him.
|
He cringed slightly at some of the action, but laughed after the part ended. He occasionally sipped his drink or ate some food, but otherwise just watched the movie.
