The Tavern
The rain was coming down harder and harder as the night progressed...the large cold rain drops pelting off the back of the stranger running through the alleys looking for a spot to rest.
*knock knock* no answer. He continued to run until his legs gave out. He fell at the doorstep of an old building that looks as if it hasnt been entered in some time. The door knob was missing but it was a place to rest. He hobbled to his feet and pushed his way through the creeky doorway and fell flat on his face due to exhaustion. When he came to, the stranger was on his back looking up at the ceiling. Nothing was to be seen but a couple of run down fans. He rolled over onto his stomache and looked around realized that he was in an old tavern. The sign out front had been removed what looks like years ago. He made his way to his feet and headed towards the front door... "This place needs some work and some helping hands, but it will do fine." |
The stranger looked around and found some old tools and began his work on the door knob for security purposes.
"After this, maybe ill work on the bar...." After a few minutes the door knob is fixed and the door is fully functional. He picked up some of the scrap peices of lumber lying around and made repairs to the bar as well as the sitting area. |
The stranger headed out the door
"maybe i can find some source of entertainment for this place, incase buisness starts up soon." |
Lyric hid behind the wall. Seeing a stanger who entered. She squinted he reyes to see who it was. Trembling she scooted back and ran away. Scared of who was in here. Hiding in a corner Lyric curled into a ball and almost blended in with the darkness.

The stranger re-entered the building with both arms full of electronic equiptment.
"Now, where to put this where its out of th way" He began to walk over to a near by corner to set the rubble down |
He was about to set the electronic equiptment down when he saw something shivering in the opposing corner.
"Huh?" He tried adjusting his eyes to see clearly but all he saw was shadow. He cautiously moved in for a closer look |
((Be right back. Getting off work, and getting home. I will respond then. =D ))
Name: Raeillieagh, Rae for short Age: 20 Race: 1/4 Wolf, 1/4 Fox, 1/2 Human Apperance: She stands about 5'6" with bright sapphire blue eyes. She has mid-waist, wavy chestnut hair that during the night hours, gains a reddish hue. She isn't petite, but isn't very "bulky" either. Bio: Rae had a normal childhood, complete with having to do chores, and getting scolded. It wasn't until she was seventeen, almost eighteen years old that was when tragedy struck her family. In the wee hours of the morning, she awoke one gray, misty morning to a strange sound. Carefully and quietly, she went to investigate. Looking in her parents room, she found them both dead, their throats ripped out, and their room trashed and stripped of anything worth any money. Afraid, she backed out of the room, only to back right into the attacker, and was kidnapped. After travelling for about a week, she was left by the side of the road with nothing in the way of food, or supplies. In the next three years, she made her own way. She was brought in by a family that made just enough to get by. They helped her get clothing that fit, and fed her, while not offering anything in return. Insisting that she wanted to repay them, she worked as many jobs as she could. She worked until she could survive on her own, and started helping others in thanks for those that helped her in her time of need. After she turned twenty, she decided that it was time to go elsewhere, and help others that would accept her help. As she travelled, she stopped here and there, helping those that she saw needed help and would accept her help willingly. Eventually, she came upon the tavern, seeing that the tavern was starting to be worked on. She decided to go over to the stucture, and see if anyone there would need her help, or would just like an employee. Raeillieagh walked up to the building after noticing that there was someone in there. Thinking that maybe someone could use her help, she peered cautiously into the front room to see if there was anyone around. "Hello?" She stood there for a moment to wait for a reply. Thinking to herself that someone must be here for the front door to be opened wide. Squinting her eyes, she saw that there was infact someone inside. Stepping farther in the door, she paused, not wanting to give anyone a fright. "Hi. I saw that the door was open, and I was wondering if you wanted any help with this place? I can help you run it, whatever it may be, once it is functional." She rung the water out of her hair, careful to keep the water outside the front door as she did so, not wanting to get the wood floor wet. Watching the figure, she waited patiently for an answer, wondering whether she would have to keep moving or not. |
Pausing, the stranger looked away from the shadow he was seeing and saw a young lady at the front door dripping from the rain that was brewing outside.
"Please, make yourself at home. This place isnt much yet but it is better than out in the rain." He walked toward the misses drinched at the doorway, " and your help would be much appreciated" he added with a humble smile. |
Turning back around, the shadow seemed to have disappeared for now.
"Well, now that people are beginning to show up, ill finish sweeping and post our application and staff lists near the bar" He grabbed a broom and began cleaning the area. He took two peices of paper and wrote the words Application on one of them and Staff on the other. He took them and posted them on the newly furnished bar. |
Application Name: Age: Race: Bio: Other: (info about you i didnt ask that you think is needed to be known) Position applying for: |
Staff Owner/Founder- Anaguma Co-Owner/Bartender- Rae Cheff- Grave |
Rae smiled sweetly, nodding. Pulling out a rubber band, she pulled her hair into a half horsetail, half bun. Rubbing her hands together, she walked over to the bar and examined it. Frowning, she looked around for a moment as if she wasn't sure what she was looking for. After a minute of looking, she got an "Ah hah!" look on her face, and walked over to grab a rag, some polish, nails, a hammer, and a broom. Walking back to the bar, she began to fix up the bar area. "I hope you don't mind, but I am going to start fixing up the bar, and go from there. I can't wait until this place is finished. It should look amazing." She looked up for a moment, and flashed another smile not noticing the odd shadow in the corner. |
"not a problem at all, ill just go explore the rest of this building and see what else i can find."
He smiled back and entered the darkness that flooded the halls, nearly tripping. hmm, i need to add a lamp or something in here to brighten this place up he thought to himself |
Holding in a chuckle, she walked over to the backpack and dug through it for a moment. Straightening back up, an orange-yellow light flooded the room as she light an oil lamp. She walked over to where he had disappeared, and held the lamp out. "Here, I hope this helps. I had it for when I was stuck camping out at night so that I could see." |
O.O
"oh, much thanks" He saw that the rest of the building was just as recked as the entrance once was. "Hey look, stairs" He decided to climb the stairs. Upon reaching the top of the staircase, he felt around for a switch, and he found one. As soon as he flipped it on all the bulbs down the hallway he occupied blew. "hmm, this is detrimental." he let out a sigh and desended down the stairs. Looking at Rae curiously "I need a light up there too..." |
Shaking her head, trying to hide a smile, she held out the lamp that she had brought over. "Why didn't you just bring this one? We have a lot of work to do." The raised an eyebrow as the bulbs blew, and sighed. She looked around the lit area, and looked at the stairs suspiciously. As wrecked as everything was, she wasn't sure if she wanted to trust the stairs at all. |
" yea, we do have alot of work to do. But where do we start?"
He looked around the building that was now lit by the dim lantern. "maybe we should safe proof the staircase before we make too many trips up and down them" |
After listening to him, she could not contain her laughter. Laughing, she set the lamp down, and put her hands on her hips. After a minute or two, she looked at him, and made a serious face as if she was trying hard not to laugh anymore. "Yea, I think that might be a smart idea. I mean, why wouldn't we go up and down some really unstable looking stairs? Nothing bad could possibly happen, right?" She giggled a little, picking the lamp back up, and waited for him to come downstairs. |
He turned toward the stairs when the dim light fell upon the edge of a door. Still he went down stairs and tripped on a board that wasnt fasten to the staircase.
"whoa. that was scarey. Yea, staircase first. oh, and it seems there may be some rooms up there." |
Raising an eyebrow, she considered putting the lamp down just incase he fell and she had to catch him or something. Nodding, she agreed with him knowing that there were probably more rooms upstairs. She waited there at the bottom of the stairs for him. |
Reaching the bottom of the stairs he apologized to her for the wait.
"Well, ill go get the lumber and tools and get working on this project" then it hit him "but first..." he ran over to the corner where he left all of the electronics and after a few moments music began playing from his direction. "anything in perticular you wanna hear?" |
Thinking for a moment, she smiled. "Anything hard rock, metally." She nodded, and walked over to him so that she could help him with the stairs. |
he nudged her playfully.
"sure thing...lets see....." Enter Sandman plays in background "now lets begin." We pulled up all of the decaying wood planks and screwed down the new lumber and before we knew it the staircase was half completed. |
Helping him with the staircase, she was amazed by how fast it was getting done. Looking at what was left, she smirked and wiped her forehead. "Well, I think that we make a good team." |
slightly leaning on her, he takes a deep breath
"that, we do. shall we finish it now or take a break?" Unforgivven plays in background "if we break, we should clean up first" |
