Marcus held up his hands apologetically. "Ok, ok, sorry. I won't, and I believe you." He smiled at her again. "I'm sorry. It just seemed like something that needed asking, to get it out in the air. Don't worry, I won't. I promise."

"Sorry, I just don't like talking about it. So...Umm what now?" She asked looking at him.

He shrugged. "It's alright, I understand if it's touchy. Um, want to head to the peir again? You never did get to ride that roller coaster." He smiled at her, standing up.

"Sure. Want to drive?" She asked yawning.

He nodded, holding out a hand to help her up. "Sure, I'll drive."

She takes his hand and follows him to her car. She gets in the passenger seat and waits.

Marcus slipped into the drivers seat, strapped on his seatbelt, and headed back the way they came.

"So, Um, you being cold yesterday, that was from you being a vampire? Which is why you didn't want me to kiss you, right?"

"Yeah, i wasn't sure if I could control myself enough to...I'm still not sure..." She sighed looking out the window.

He looked over at her, then looked back at the road. "That's fine. I understand this is probably a little difficult for you. If you ever feel you need a little space, just in case, I'll understand. I don't want you to do anything you'd regret."

"I've learned not to regret just not do." She sighed as they pulled into the parking lot of the pier.

He sighed as they pulled up, and shut off the car. "Look, I'm sorry, about all this, about all this. I feel like I'm putting you through a hard time just on my behalf." He looked over at her. "Come on, lets go see if this roller coaster can't cheer us up a little."

"Sounds like a plan." She says smiling. She takes his hand and tries to control herself as she feels the fire coursing through her hand.

He walked with her to the rollercoaster, and payed for two tickets. He looked to her to see where she which car she wanted to sit in.

She sat in the bright orange one and pulled him into it with her and smiled as the rollercoster started.

He let her pull him in, and smiled as the roller coaster asended. It had been a while since he had ridden on the roller coaster, but he always loved the ride. He braced himself, putting his hands in the air as the coaster took the first dive.

She didn't mean to, but with all the excitement her fangs extracted and she looked over at Marcus and smiled.

As they rounded a curve, he glanced over at her, smiled, and glanced away.

Then he did a double take back at her, his eyes wide. He moved his thumb and forefinger near his own teeth, up and down a few times, then pointed at her.

Looking down Maria saw her fangs out. She quickly closed her mouth and looked away. She hadn't even noticed they had came out.

He put his hand on hers, and smiled reassuringly. Then his eyes widened again as they went over the next steep drop.

When the ride was over, Marcus vaulted out of the car and hopped off of the platform. He turned to look at her. "Oh, man, I had forgotten how much fun that was."

"I have never been on a roller coaster before." Maria laughed as she climbed out. She smiled at Marcus this time fangs hidden.

He smiled at her. "Well, I hope you had fun." He took her hand again, looking at her smile. "So, what was that about?" He started to walk away from the Roller coaster, so the other riders wouldn't overhear them talking.

"Wha? Oh my fangs. They come out when I feed, get angry, or excited." She explained buying some cotton candy.

Marcus nodded, buying himself some cotton candy as well. "I see. Got ya. So, what do you want to do now?" He ate a little cotton candy, a blue one, and smiled.

"Hmm...Well I'm not sure. What time do humans go to sleep?" She asked with a wicked grin.

Marcus glanced at her, a little concerned. "Around here? Most people are alseep by ten. Midnight for the more rebellious teens. I don't know a single person in this town awake at two, unless they woke up then." He raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
