"Have you ever been to the Ruby drip? That Vampire Bar in downtown?" Maria asked.
He blinked, looking even more confused. "No, I can't say I have. There's a whole Vampire Bar in town?" He wasn't surprised that he'd missed it, he wasn't one to hang around downtown that much. But the idea that there was a whole downtown Vampire bar was a bit of a shock to him.
"Oh yeah. It's tons of fun." Maria said as they walked towards her car.
He smiled and nodded. "Alright then. Um, you want to drive, since you know where it is?" He finished his bag of Cotton Candy and tossed it into a trash can on the peir.
"We might want to change. Lucily I have just the suit in my car." Maria said opening her trunk. She pulled out a very nice Suit for marcus, and a short black tight strapless dress for herself.
Marcus took the suit with a raised eyebrow, heading towards the peir's bathroom. "Do you always keep a suit in the back of your car, or just when you plan on inviting people to this club with you?" He asked, glancing over his shoulder at her.
"Habit." She said already in her dress. Her hair was curled it's self and was down.
He blinked, a little surprised at the quick change, but shrugged it off and slipped into the bathroom.
He stepped out a minute later, adjusting the cuffs. He had slicked his hair back a little. "It's a good fit. So, shall we get going?" He walked towards her and the car. |
"Wow, you don't look half bad." Maria said getting into the car. They drove downtown and parked in front of a club that had a small coffin made out of neon lights on the roof.
As they pulled up, Marcus eyed the sign. "Subtle." He murmured. He got out when she parked, and went around, meeting her on the other side. "I'll follow your lead, then, shall I?" He held out an arm for her, crooking his elbow so she could slip her arm around his. He was nervous, despite his calm demeanor. He wasn't sure if everyone in here would really be vampires, but the thought of Vampires besides Marie gave him slight chills.
((If you want you can play a vampire inside the bar))
Maria walked up to the bouncer and extracted her fangs. "What about the jailbait?" He asked motioning at Marcus with a chubby thumb. "He's mine." She said pulling him inside with her. She quickly pulled him over to a seat that was carved into the wall, it a coffin on eitherside to sit on and a coffin as a table, jammed into the wall. As they made there way there plenty male vampires whisteled at Maria but she ignored them. |
((sure))
Marcus kept his mouth shut as the bouncer let them in. The last thing he wanted to do was start trouble in a vampire bar. "Wow, pretty nice place." He glared at the catcallers, but reminded himself that Maria could do more damage in here then he could, so defending her honor when she wouldn't seemed like a moot, and dangerous, point. Alex Bartel noticed another pair walk into the club. Even from here, he pick up the male as a human, but then he was always a little better then most at noticing things. That was why they had him as the head server, he noticed when people needed something, even before they knew they did some times. He grabbed his notepad and slipped over to there table. He made a point of appearing out of the shadows. "Well, good evening, what can I get for you two?" Marcus almost jumped from his seat as the Vampire showed up out of no where, but glanced to Maria to see what she was going to get first. |
"Do you have bottled?" She asked meaning Bottled blood that was kept body temp.
He smiled. "Oh yes, quite a nice selection. Anyone you prefer, or a region?"
Marcus looked at the waiter grimly. He caught on at the anyone bit that they were talking about blood. He wondered if he should risk ordering anything, or if he should just tough it out. He wished the waiter had brought over a menu. |
"Scotish, Type-0. And a menu for my human." Maria said sweetly.
He smiled, and bowed, slipping into the shadows again, and headed for the back.
Marcus looked over at her. "So, uh, do you mind if I ask you a few vampire questions? You know, the legends, and what's true and not?" He flexed his fingers, a few of them cracking as he did. |
"Sure, just don't get creeped out on most of the answers." She said warning him.
He nodded. "That's fine. I understand I ask at my own risk." He looked around, then back at her. "So, first one off the top of my head is are Vampires really repelled by Garlic? I mean, what about would really force off a vampire?"
"Well it depends, If a vampire was allergic tp garlic before he died, it was be more powerful once he was dead/ Like me, my weakness is pineapples." She explained with a grin.
He smiled at her. "Then I guess it's a good thing I didn't order Pineapple on the pizza, huh?" He looked up as Alex returned, setting down a bottle and wine glass in front of Maria, then a menu in front of Marcus. "I'll return when you are ready to order." He told Marcus, then headed over to a table nearby where a pair of vampires were just finishing their glasses.
Marcus flipped open the menu, and looked back up at her. "Ok, so, when you drink from a normal person, does it always kill them. It sounded like for someone to become a vampire, you have to drink all there blood and then make them drink yours, but is it over for the person you're drinking from either way?" He looked down at the menu, running his eyes over the list. |
"Yes, if I were just to drink from you, I'd visit you over a period of two weeks, Each night draining a little more until you die." She explained pouring the Ruby colored blood into the wine glass and taking a sip, she hoped he wouldn't notice how her eye's flashed brightly when she drank.
He grimaced as he looked at the menu. "Got ya. Well, lets see. Can you really not see yourself in the mirror? That's another well known one." He flipped the menu over to read the back, muttering to himself.
"Depending on the make of glass. If there is silver around it then yes." She said with a smile.
He looked up at her, then down at the menu, then to his left about to look for the waiter, but jumped in his seat a little to his Alex already there. "Ready to order, then?"
Marcus cleared his throat, then nodded. "Um, yes, I'll have the Steak, medium well, with the salad, Ranch please, and a lemonade." Alex nodded, taking the menu, and walked off. Marcus smiled, then perked up a bit. "Oh, Stakes. Are they really a threat?" |
"No, They paralize us until they are pulled out through." She said holding out her glass to ask for more.
