Abby looked around. she didn't know what she was supposed to do. she was angry that Todd had just left them by themselves. he was supposed to be their guide. what the hell was more important then guiding them at a time like this, expecially since they were all here to save his stupid world from doom from the evil Lord Deumos Ah'Cetear. she was so angry. she could feel her anger worsening. "dude what the fuck?" she asked. then appologized for her language. "I'm sorry you guys, I just don't understand why Todd would bring us all the way out here and then not help out. it just makes me so mad" Abby said with teeth clinched. Abby didn't realize it but her power was building. the others could see the sparks of lightning starting to extend out of her fingertips, but she didn't feel anything. "I mean why would he go and do something like that?" as Abby finished this sentence she through her arm out in the direction Todd had left and lighting shot out of her fingers to the wall leaving a black scorch mark on the wall where the lightning had connected to the stone.
Todd walked silently through the halls that he knew so well, being stuck in the land of the zombies was hard because it had been well over a week since he had checked in with his status. even though he knew his master would be okay with it once he found out why it had been so long. coming to an open area in the dark old castle he walked up to a couple of body gaurds standing by the door into the thrown room. the gaurds looked at him. "it's been a while Todd" one of the gaurds said. "the master is expecting you" the other said. Todd knew not to keep the master waiting when he was expected, expecially since it had been so long since checking in. He also knew that dealing with the body gaurds was just a waste of time, so he just nodded and without another word the gaurds each grabed a handle of one of the heavy doors and opened them for him. Todd walked into the room. walking to the front of the throne Todd stopped at the end of the red carpet and kneeled down with his head bowed. "My Lord" he said as he waited for a reply.

Amelia edged away from Abby slowly, feeling nervous. The feeling was etched onto her face, as she stared cautiously at Abby's hands. "Um, you might want to take a chillpill." She said, trying to sound calm. "Before you hurt someone."

"Holy shit," Chris spat out. He stepped a good few feet away from Abby.
Alex jumped on Abby and grabbed her hand. "Good lord woman." she pointed the girls hands away from everybody else. "What where you point those fingertips. Damn! Amelia is right. Take a breath and calm down before you explode."
"Next time we deal with some crazy shit like zombies, I'm on her team," Chris said with an odd laugh. He had to admit, not only was that awesome beyond all things he had ever seen, but it was also slightly frightening.
"Well, if we can't practice maybe we can help Abby out. Help her control her anger and direct it at a target."

Abby looked over at the group, taking a deep breath she tried to calm herself. "I'm sorry" she said "Its just that Todd makes me so mad. I have a feeling he is up to something and I'm not sure thats a good thing" she said still trying to breath and calm herself. she could feel her power full force now. she had tapped into it and she knew how to tap into it again if she needed to, she could feel it. now all she had to do was practice throwing the lightning and hitting her target. "hey you guys wanna help me out?" she asked. when they, or most of them agreed to help her out she asked them to set targets up for her to practice hitting with the lightning.

Alex agreed to help. "Don't worry about Todd. Knowing him he went out to get something to help us out, or maybe food. Yeah food would be great right now," she said as she sat up some targets they found. They were round targets on planks of wood that they sat up in different distances and lengths apart. They all stepped far back behind Abby. "Alright woman, show those targets what you got!" she cheered.

Marcus stood off to the side and watched what was going on. For practice, he concentrated on Abby. With a little bit of effort, he could sense her thoughts. He could tell she was angry about Todd, which was set off her magic in the first place. It was something normal to focus on, at least. Better than his sister. As another test, he focused on Alex. She was focused on helping Abby at the moment. Nothing spectactular. He didn't want to read anyone else's mind. He turned to Amelia and watched her. She was humming to herself as she watched Abby and Alex. Amelia's fingers were moving all on their own, and a couple of leaves were weaving through her fingers. At first Marcus thought she was playing around, but a closer inspection showed that the leaves weren't even touching her fingers. His jaw dropped. "Amelia...?"

The tone of Marcus' voice caught his attention. At first he was worried something happened, but when he turned to inspect Amelia, Chris found nothing out of the ordinary. At least not at first. With a more careful look Chris saw the leaves that seamed to be floating and dancing around. He poked Alex in the ribs, trying not to make Amelia suspicious. "Check her out," he whispered.
"Duuuuuude," she said outloud. Then snapped her mouth shut. "Uh, Abby, ready to blow stuff up?" she spoke quickly.

Amelia didn't respond at first. Of course, she knew all too well what she was doing. It was a pleasant feeling almost. If she really focused, she felt someone relaxed and distant, almost like she wasn't part of the world. The magic felt wonderful to her fingers. Her eyes refocused on Marcus, and she gave him a knowing smile. "It's wonderful," she said. "I've never felt anything like this before." There were no words to describe the magic she was feeling. It wasn't just in her fingertips, but it was spreading through her entire body. With a slight flick of her fingers, she flicked the leaf away and watched it fall gracefully to the ground.

Abby threw her hands out to try to hit a target somewhat close to her. she missed, but she could feel like she knew what she did wrong. she tried again and this time she hit her target. she stood back and listened to everyone ooohing and ahhing that she had hit the target. she moved to the next one, *HIT* and the next *Smash* target after target she hit them. after she had gone through all of the target's that Alex had sat up she decided that she had enough practicing. she was calm now and she could still feel her power. she felt pride that she had gotten control of her power. now all they had to do was work on someone elses. she knew Julia's power so she decided that she would try to bring out her power... but then she looked over at Amelia and saw her levitating some leaves. then an idea came to her. "Hey Amelia," she said catching the girls attention, "I bet you cant make those leaves there float in the air about ten feet out" she said in a mocking tone that she knew would irk Amelia enough to make her try.

Amelia settled her gaze on Abby. She felt slightly annoyed, because she wanted to cozy up to Chris. But a challenge was a challenge. Bending down, she picked the leaf back up and focused on it. She could feel her mind working. It was still strange to her. Holding her hand out, palm up, she concentrated on the leaf floating. She could see it in her mind, and soon enough, it was floating for real. Letting her entire body relax, Amelia pushed the leaf forward a bit, until there was no hand underneath to support it. It was floating completely on its own. She pushed it out a couple more inches, and a little more, until the leaf was out two feet. Amelia tried pushing it a little more, but being that her magic had just appeared, she couldn't do anymore. Snapping out of her light trance the leaf fell to the ground. Irritated, Amelia inhaled deeply, and exhaled with just as much force.

Chris looked from Abby to Amelia. Totally out of character he ran up to Amelia and rambled on how amazing she was. "I can't believe you were able to do that." She had only moments ago showed signs of her power; telekinesis (right?). "This make sense. You and your brother have related powers." They were twins, so it wasn't unusual for their powers to be similar. Now Chris was getting a bit excited, which he rarely did. He wanted to figure out what sort of power he had.
Alex felt the same way. The power she had was given to her, it was not her own. So, she wondered when she two would find hers out. It was Chris, her and Jeff left. "I wonder whose power we'll find out next," she asked.
Chris laughed. "If our powers are supposed to be based off emotions, then Amelia's is clearly based off boredom."

Todd explained what had happened since his last check in whilst Lord Deumos Ah'Cetear listened and nodded his head. He was sure that his master would be pleased and all of the improvements on the powers. the fact that they had all managed to get inside the arena was proof that they all had powers. hopefully the spell on the arena would work and they wouldn't be able to figure out how to control their powers without him. after Lord Deumos excused him Todd walked his was back toward the arena to meet up with the others and see how they were doing.

((Ha, I had no idea what to do with him, I suppose this will help))
Lord Deumos was slightly gidding. Of course he wouldn't let anybody know that. It seemed that it wouldn't be to long until each of them reached their full potential. Once that happened Todd would lead those unsuspecting fools right into his hands. Deumos had been slightly upset though. He had sent some of his servants to the same world they had been in before; the zombie world. They were sent to retrieve the same relic, but those idiots never reported back. He would have to send more competent slaves next time. He was glad he had one loyal follower he could trust.
Jeff patted Abby on the back. "Well done," he spoke to her with a charming smile. He was more than impressed with her. She seemed to be developing her powers rather well. He looked over at Julia who still had no idea what to do. Jeff wanted to help her, but what was he going to do? Insult her until she starts crying? He sighed and walked over to his best friend. She did look a bit sad to him, probably because Abby was getting all of his attention and also because she couldn't even figure out how to get her powers to work.
"This is stupid," Julia said as he walked up to her. She brushed her fingers through her hair. "I'm more than depressed and there are no flames." Julia flicked her wrist hopping something would happen. Jeff sat down next to her.
"Don't be so nervous," he explained. "Relax. Just follow what Abby is doing."
So, Julia did. It seemed much easier when Jeff was around. In fact after a few minutes of concentrating a small flame appeared, dancing in her open palm. Julia could feel the heat of the fire, but it didn't burn her. Her eyes sparkled in amazement. "Look!"
Jeff laughed. "You're doing it Jules." He wanted to squeeze her into a hug, but he was afraid she'd might catch him on fire. "Enough of the cute tricks, try something like a giant fireball." Jeff gave her an exited looking toothing grin. Oh this would be fun. There was nothing better than playing with fire.

Abby looked around at everyone. ok so she got to practice with her powers, and Amelia was starting to discover and practice with hers. she was almost positive that Marcus was using his, even though it had made him sick at first, he had that look in his eyes. now all they needed to do was discover Chris's, Alex's, and Jeff's powers. being that they were in a magic arena that its whole purpose we to help them practice with their powers maybe the others would discover theirs as well. she didn't think it would take much longer. "hey guys" she said turning to chris alex and jeff "why don't you guys see what happens when you try to do something?" she asked with a smile.
Todd walked up to the place he had last seen the group. he couldn't see anyone, but he could feel them there. they were still practicing their powers. 'good' he thought to himself 'maybe none of them have figured out how to use them yet' he was unable to get into the arena due to the fact that he was not new in his power, and he was not with someone who was he would just have to sit outside and wait for them to finish. he had stopped on his way back to pick up dinner. it would be cold when they got done, however he figured he could guide julia to heat it up for them.... he laughed to himself.

Chris glanced over at Abby. "I don't know what to do. I don't have the slightest idea..." He looked over at Amelia and gave her a sheepish grin along with a shrug. Ah, well at least he wasn't the only one who didn't know their power or anything involving that. He kind of hoped he didn't have one. He had other skills that could help his friends, why did he need magic anyways?
Alex sat on a piece of rubble and crossed her legs. "Yeah, this isn't so easy when we don't know what we're supposed to do," she sighed and rested her chin on a closed fist. "Maybe it will come to us later."
((I have an idea for Chris. And I know how its going to happen, but it all depends on Amelia. As for Alex.. I kind of have an idea for her power, just don't know when it will happen and what will trigger it. Butr I have some idea for that.. Lol))

abby shrugged, she wasn't about to force them into doing something, expecially since they weren't even sure if they had powers at all. in fact abby was still trying to cope with the idea that she had powers, and that the chant she did to raise the dead in the zombie world actually worked. after all she had remembered the spell from her favorite television show and just decided to give it a try. She looked over at Jeff. my he was handsome as ever today she thought to herself. she needed to see what he really thought of her, and she couldn't do that with either Todd or Julia around. and since todd wasn't here right now it would be the perfect time to try to get him away from julia for a few minutes at least. She walked up to him. "so... um... Jeff" she paused not knowing what to say. "um..."
Todd sat outside where the arena was and waited. he didn't know how long it would take them, he had been told that time moved differently inside. he didn't remember that much about his training and practice time in the arena but he knew it to be somewhat true.

Amelia was done practicing for now. Her magic was still too early to do anything fancy with it at the moment, and she didn't want to exhaust herself. She sat down off the the side and sat cross legged and just sort of watched everyone. Marcus was standing next to her, doing the same thing. She could tell he was reading people's minds. Amelia didn't mind. They could already practically read each others minds anyway, only now Marcus could do it for real. They had no secrets between them. Although Amelia figured their friends might want some privacy, so she hoped Marcus wasn't overdoing it.

Chris felt slightly uneasy, he could tell by the way Alex looked she sort of felt the same. Neither of them had come into their powers. He wondered if maybe they didn't have any. Maybe this healing thing for Alex was all she had. She wasn't going to get anything else. "Doesn't this suck," he said to her. She shrugged.
"Makes you feel sort of like a loner," she looked over at him then let out a short laugh. "Bet that isn't unusual for you."
Chris glared back at her. "Oh, you're right," he snapped back. "I'm just some dumb ass guy who picks fights with highschoolers." Alex laughed. She had forgotten that. It was only a week or two? Maybe three? She couldn't remember. That wasn't the first time they had met. FOr some reason she never liked Chris before, but now he seemed to be okay. She liked that Jeff boy though. He was insanely gorgeous, but she was pretty sure he had his sights on this Abby chick. She liked the girl, but at the same time was irked by her. She was sitting there when she realized everybody seemed to be pairing up. Oh god, this really sucked. From where she sat and saw things, Chris was not the loner, she was. "Fuck me," she grumbled.

Jeff was a little surprised of the bluntness of her question. He didn't know what to say. Really, he just met her. Sure they spent the last week or so together in zombie land, but that was the worst sort of way to get to know each other. Those situations make people bond in odd ways and cause unrealistic feelings to develop. He could say that he'd begin to feel some what attracted to her, but he wasn't sure. He'd always kept in mind situations and how they could affect people's thoughts and feelings. She was pretty. Maybe not the most beautiful person, but she was defiantly attractive. But then there was that weird thing she did to summon that ghost. Because of past experiences that really turned him off.
Jeff grabbed Abby's hand and pulled her farther away. Far enough that he was sure Marcus wouldn't be able to know what was going on. "Look," Jeff spoke softly. He pushed her into the wall gently and looked back. "I like you, but after that witch craft from earlier, I'm a bit spooked." Their foreheads were nearly touching, his voice was so low that Abby could hardly hear what he had to say. "I've got bad history with witches." He didn't sound threatening or angry at all. In fact he sounded a bit scared and hesitant. He glanced back at Julia, who gave him a very angry scowl. "You seem a bit nieve at times, and you're clumsy like a child. I find it charming and insanely cute. I like the way you smile and the laugh you have. These are things that matter. Your personality and your heart. You care about us even though we barely know each other; however, it will be very hard for me to be anything but a friend to you if you're involved in any witchcraft." He took a step back from her. "Look, don't tell Julia about this please."

Alex made a sound of digust. "You see what I mean," she spoke as she through her hand up in the direction of Jeff and Abby. "Next thing you know they're going to be necking."
"Oh gross, don't make me yack," Chris said as he turned his back to the couple.
"All of you are coupling," she spoke. "Chris and Abby, Marcus and Julia...."
"Wait Marcus and Julia? They don't really even talk to each other."
Alex rolled her eyes. "Oh please how blind are you? It's obvious Marcus has his eyes on her. Don't you ever notice how he looks at her? Besides you and Amelia are to perfect for each other."
Chris instantly blushed. "Wh-what?" Amelia was just friendly towards him. She never really showed real interest. She drank and danced with him at the rave, that was really all. But then again she danced with everybody too. She smiled at him oddly sometimes, but that was just her being overly friendly. That was the type of girls he was right?
"Oh for fucks sake. You really are a blind idiot." Now Alex really knew why she did not like this guy. He was blind. Or maybe she could just see things better, who knew?

Abby looked at jeff. she understood what he was saying, however she wasn't involved in witchcraft. the only reason she knew that spell was because she had seen it on tv, she didn't think it would actually work. and the only reason she knew a lot about the subject was because she had written a report about it not that long back. she didn't think that he would believe her if she tried to explian this to him so she just nodded. "listen, I'm sorry if I put you on the spot, its just that I like you, and thought that if the situation was different it might be possible to have dinner together or something. but I can see now that I was mistaken." tears started streaming down her face before she could do anything about it. she turned to walk to the opposite side of the arena (closest to the exit) to get away from him, if he was freaked out she wasn't going to make it any worst. "oh" she turned to face him again "you don't have to worry about me telling Julia" she sobbed. "your secret is safe with me" she then turned back around and walked away.

Amelia and Marcus were both bored. They were both half ignoring everyone else for the time. It seemed no one had anything to do. They were whispering with each other though, talking about home and anything else they could think of.
"I wonder if we'll be able to keep these powers once we get home," Marcus said. His eyes had an odd sort of mischievous glint to them. "I'll be able to find out if girls like me. Then I know who to avoid and who to talk to." He was smiling. Amelia giggled and rolled her eyes at the same time.
"It's not your personality Marcus," she said. Amelia reached over and snatched the glasses off her brother's face. "It's these..." she reached over and unbuttoned the top three buttons of his shirt in rapid succession. "..and these......" Amelia then tugged at his pants. "These too. You need to loosen up. If you want Julia to look at you more and flirt with you, you gotta dress comfortably."
Marcus frowned and folded his arms. "My clothes are comfortable. It's who I am."
"You are a dork. Do you really want to walk around in those clothes for the rest of your life and never get a date? I've been telling you since high school. I'm sure what's-his-face will have something new for you to wear. Or we can find something. But seriously, Marcus, wear something baggy for once. Let your hair hang loose. Get contacts." She reluctantly handed his glasses back to him.
