Abby smiled. "I know what you mean, I just want to go home to my nice warm bed and a good book. and my boring old life" she said. she looked at him while they were walking, which probably wasn't the best idea because her foot found a hole in the ground and she started to stumble.
Todd looked at everyone, "no every world's people need to eat. I prefer the types of foods that you eat in your world, so I keep a nice supply nearby. and we have supermarts here as well, some of the foods is the same, but mostly not." he said then he went to the oven and took the food out. it was heated back up and they would be able to eat now. "ok eat up and then go get some rest, we leave first thing in the morning to the next world" he said after dishing out everyone's plates and handing it to them. |
((making this short >.< lets make it the next day soon))
Alex and Chris both thanked Todd for the food and didn't hesitate to start picking out their pieces of chicken and eating. After everybody ate they headed back to the rooms they had set before and went to bed.. |
((I can't think of what to post right now....))
|
((Okay I want to move this forward cause we are all stuck. It is now morning and everybody is done eatting breakfast. The Rabbit is missing and Todd and Jeff can be arguing about their method of transportation... Closet portal.. Or knife thingy.. There is the new setting. Now go!))
|
((That works for me. I didn't know what to post either))
Julia stood back watching as Jeff and Todd fight. She knew both of them hated each other for a bunch of reasons. They seemed to fight over power control and that girl; Abby. Jeff didn't trust Todd and he didn't hide it. The guy barely gave them reasons to trust him. Julia trusted him, he seemed like a nice guy and he was helping them out this far. He really cared about saving Rabbit and all these different worlds, including his own. However, they didn't really know the guy. There was nothing really to him. Nobody knew where he came from and what his past was like. She could tell well enough from just listening and watching other people that they had a life before this, but with Todd it seemed as if this WAS his life. She crossed her arms and sighed as she continued watching the bickering. "I'm not going in that warp hole closet of yours again. Last time we ended up in a hell hole being chased by fucking zombies." Of course Todd replied that there was no control over where they would end up and that Jeff probably couldn't even get the knife to work anyways. Jeff threw up his hands and made an angry knows. "You know what? I never signed up for this crap in the first place." |
((That works. Toriana skipped my post but I'll go along with it.))
It had taken them half the night to give Marcus his makeover. He'd spent half the time arguing over the clothes that Amelia had picked out. Despite him wanting to change, he was unwilling to try new and younger looking clothes. After chasing him around their room, and even taking the chase outside, where he fought with his sister over getting a hair cut, Amelia had finally wrestled him into a black skintight short sleeved shirt, and a large black button up shirt, with blue flames on the bottom and blue buttons. Marcus was glad he got to keep his watch. But for the first time in his life, he was wearing jeans, and baggy jeans no less, along with black combat boots. Amelia had cut his hair to the point where he was no longer able to slick it back, but it was still long enough to where she put gel in it and spiked it up just the tiniest bit. Now Marcus was studying himself in the mirror, turning himself every which way. He was surprised at how good he looked now. "See?" Amelia bragged. She was still wearing bright, mismached colors, her favorite look. "I told you you would look good. You ready to show off?" "No." "Okay, let's go." She grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the room, despite his protests. she gave him a gentle push toward everyone. "Ta-da!" |
((okay, right. I'm confused. Is this the previous night now? LIke a flash back? Or how about its not the next day its still the evening. We are rewinding time.))
She had heard arguing of some sort and even saw Amelia chasing her brother around the house and back into the room a few times. After a couple hours they both came through the door with a loud surprise. Julia looked from Jeff and Todd to Marcus. Her jaw dropped. The guy looked totally different. She wasn't sure about his style of shirt, but it hung good on him. "Wow," she spoke. Really that's all she could say. She loved his hair, it looked far better than the style he was wearing before. Jeff really had no opinion on it. Except that the out fit was outrageous. Of course that came from a guy who wore the stores most expensive designer outfits. Jeff frowned when Julia got up to compliment Marcus on his extreme change. "What brought about the new change in style?" She asked as she ran her fingers through his hair. ((Just a minor change.)) |
((No, it's the next morning. I said it had taken them half the night, I guess they didn't sleep at all. Amelia showed marcus off in the morning))
|
((Ah. I suppose I should pay more attention when I read. I'll edit the post to fit then.))
|
Marcus felt shy. He wasn't used to being in the spotlight, so he nervously scratched his cheek. "I dunno." he mumbled. "Just felt like it." He wanted to go back and hide in the room, but Amelia was blocking his exit. She gave him an encouraging smile, and feeling better, he turned back to Julia. "I wanted to look different." he said, explaining himself better. "I guess I want to be another attractive guy. A guy that girls actually talk to, instead of just another face in the crowd, or the one the girls call 'geek' behind my back." Marcus felt it was a good time to stop talking. "Anyway, yeah. I'm glad you like it." He smiled, and hoped his smile looked just as awesome as the rest of him.
|
Julia felt a bit sorry for him; that he had to change the way he looked just so he could get more positive attention. "Well do you feel comfortable in this?" she ran her fingers across his shirt. "Its definitely different." She liked his new look, but she also liked part of his other look. He could always go for the punk/geek look. The thick glasses, slick pants, and the dark themed shirts. "I think your sister should be in the fashion industry. She did wonders on you."
Jeff watched Julia check Marcus out and part of him felt a weight lifted. Maybe she would be interested in this guy and pull away from him. He loved Julia like a sister and it hurt him that he couldn't give her more than just a great friendship. ((Auh. That's all I can do for now...)) |
Marcus looked down. He definitely felt like he could relax a bit more. With his old clothes he always felt like he had to be uptight and boring, but now he felt younger, and felt better about himself. "Yeah, I like it. I feel...happier almost." He said. He smiled at Julia. Hopefully....
|
Abby suggested that they let Jeff try using the knife to take them to the next world, and let him try to get used to using it. Todd huffed an aggitated sigh before finally giving in. she then noticed Marcus in his new clothes. he looked so much different now then he had last night. He actually looked somewhat attractive she thought to herself. she wondered what type of world they would go to next as Jeff worked with figuring out the knife and getting them to the next world.
|
Jeff nodded a few times as he agreed with Abby. Now was a good time to learn and practice. As he pulled out his knife part of him felt like turning against Todd. It was an odd feeling as if somebody was trying to tell him something. He brushed it off thinking that it was part of him who hated the guy.. It was just an urge to stab some jerk. Jeff flicked the knife with his wrist and caught the handle. It was slightly like it was instructing him on what to do. In one smooth sweep he yanked it free from its sheath and sliced the blade through the air. Suddenly the space in front of him warped until it looked as if they were looking at a window from another world. "See ya," he said with a salute and jumped in.
|
((wow i don't know what to say to that))
|
((Lmao xD))
"Uh. Are we supposed to follow him?" Alex asked. Nobody really answered her. They all gave her a dumb stare, so she decided she would go in after him. You know just in case the portal closed or something. She peeked into the portal and saw Jeff waving at her and then she jumped in to join him. "Oh this is kinda cool," she said. She turned around and she could see the rest of her friends in the house while she was in the other world. "Hurry and jump before it closes!" |
Marcus and Amelia just looked at each other. With a shrug, they jumped in at the same time. Marcus fell to his knees in shock, while Amelia looked around, her neck craned, with her arms out. She was laughing. "That was so cool!" she shouted. "Jeff how did you do that?" Marcus was panting as he looked up at his sister.
"Are you really all that surprised? We're in La-La land. Anything is possible." Marcus chuckled a bit at his own wit. Suddenly, Amelia frowned. "What if we don't have our powers anymore?" |
Abby watched the others go into the portal. she didn't want to be stuck here all alone so she shrugged and followed them in. it was just before Todd stepped through that the portal closed behind her. On the other side of the portal that Abby and everyone was on they could still clearly see Todd but he wasn't able to see them. He started cursing and pacing back and forth saying "oh no, this isn't good if Lord Deumos Ah'Cetear finds out about this he will have my head." Todd walked into his room to go to his closet portal, they could be anywhere he thought to himself. Abby looked at the others as Todd went down the hall and into his room "Hey wasn't that Deumos guy the one who tried to take me and Julia?" she asked, "the bad guy?"
|
Chris shrugged. "Who's that again?" He looked at the others wondering if they knew who the guy was as well.
"Yah, rabbit said that was his enemy or something." Alex said. Her brow nitted into a frown. "Then what the hell was Todd rambling about just before the portal closed?" Goosebumps ran up her arm. What if Todd was running on the bad side? "I have no idea," Chris said and slapped a bug away from his face. "But lets move and we can figure this out in a less bug infested area." |
Julia had a panicked look on her face. "What if Todd is working on both our sides? Maybe he wants Deumos to think he is working for him, but he's really helping Rabbit?" She looked at the others as Chris lead them away. Geoff didn't know what to think. He had never trusted that guy in the first place. His fingers gripped painfully around the dagger.
"Let's just get out of here then we can figure shit out," he said in a rather grumpy tone of voice. |
Chris stomped across the wet growth of the forest floor. It was hot and humid and his cloths were sticking to his sweaty skin. He groaned. This was worse than the last world they were in. He'd take zombies over this any day. Besides they didn't even know if there were civilized people around. "Let's take a break," he groaned. He squated down and took in deep breaths. "Maybe this was Todd's plan after all. Abandon us in some world so we could die of heat stroke."
Alex let out a small laugh. It was sort of funny, but considering their position it wasn't funny at the same time. |
Geoff (I decided I'd spell his name right now..) swiped his bangs off his sweaty brow and turned back looking at the others. He didn't know what they were thinking and right now he wish he had Marcus' power. He was pissed. For one there was no doubt in his mind that Todd was double timing them. Two, whether or not intended, they were on their own. And three it was hotter than hell in this forest.. of hell... They'd been walking for what seemed to be hours and they found no sign of any people. No roads, no huts, no nothing. The only thing they saw every where they looked were fucking insects. He was half tempted to ask Julia to burn everything down around them. He was sure that if he had her power things would be be worse off anyways.
"With out any water we're not going to last long," Julia stated. "Unless we can find a stream, a river, or it starts raining.. We're going to be in bad shape. At the pace we are going we'll sweat ourselves to death." Geoff wiped the sweat off his face with the sleeve of his shirt while he watched Julia talk. She had a point and so did chris for that matter. Maybe that jerk was just trying to kill them off. But then what the hell was the point of that? It's not like they were in the way. They barely knew what the hell they were doing. Geoff fingered the hilt of the knife wondering if he could just use it to get out of this hot and sticky place. "Let's just catch our breath for now and figure out our next move," Geoff spoke. |
Abby was thrilled that they had stopped. she didn't know what to do, she was so confused about todd she wasn't sure what to think of him, one minute he's their friend the next he's not, then he is again now is he not again? "you know" she started, not sure if it would make everyone angry at her for defending Todd or not, "it's not exactly Todd's fault we're in this world" she paused for a second "after all Jeff is the one who opened the portal and Todd tried to get in but was unable to before it closed. maybe Todd doesn't know which world we are in? maybe he's looking for us?" she asked skeptically
|
Amelia turned around. "It's Todd's fault we're not even in our home universe to begin with." Her face turned red from anger. "If it weren't for him, I'd be at home with my friends, not fighting for my life every step of the way." Amelia looked like she wanted to say more, but Marcus held her back.
"Shut up, it's not worth starting an argument over." He said, loud enough for everyone to hear. He gave Abby what he hoped was a charming smile, but whether she appreciated it or not was up to her. Turning back to Amelia, he let go and gave her a smaller, more tight-lipped smile. "We don't know for sure what Todd's up to. Abby may have a point, but don't go around picking arguments with her just for the sake of arguing. It's not polite. Don't be like mom." At that, Amelia closed her mouth tight. Her eyes widened at first, then narrowed. Marcus realized he'd said the wrong thing. Amelia took a step back and shook her head. "I will NEVER be like that wench." Amelia hissed. "You hear me? I am nothing like her. Don't you dare accuse me of acting like her. Dad and I hate that woman." Marcus opened his mouth to argue, but he didn't want to sound like a hypocrite. "You want to argue with everyone? Fine." Marcus snapped. "You argue with everyone. You're no better than the woman you claim you hate, if you act like that." Amelia had nothing else to say. Before she turned her back on her brother, she slapped him in the face, then stomped away from the group. She felt like running off, but didn't feel like getting lost. She stayed within sight of them, but she was far too angry to talk to anyone for the moment. |
Alex looked over at the others but said nothing. Chris let out an agitated sigh. "What's the point of being pissy." It wasn't really a question but mostly a statement. Because really? Where was fighting getting them? Nowhere, that's where. "It's nobody's fault we're in this world. It's not Geoff's fault either. You all jumped in after him. You're decisions led you here. Except for the point already stated; it's Todd's fault we're not home. So, what are you all going to do about it? Bitch and whine like children? Or figure out how to deal with our situation like the adults we are? As for Todd he can go fuck himself. Better he not find us." Chris stood up and brushed the dirt off his pants. "Let's just go."
