I was still in shock. I never thought I'd get a boyfriend and I never in my wildest dreams imagined someone so dark, sexy and so... like me... as Kado.

With a smile, I whispered his name to myself. A blissful sigh escaped my black glossed lips as my eyes drifted shut. Of course, with his bat-like hearing and the complete silence in the theatre, he heard it. With a look very similar to amusement, Kado turned his head to look at me. We both were completely ignoring the movie screen where the previews were still playing.

"You're planning to tell me about that right?" His voice alone sent chills through my body. I looked over in his direction but was just able to make out the outline of his angular face; unlike him, I didn't have perfect night vision. I smiled and shook my head in answer to his question. "I think you already know." I jokingly accused as I reached across my body to cup his chin; my other hand was under his on the arm rest. His skin was marble smooth, but warm to the touch.

His head leaned into my palm gently, oh so gently and he covered my hand with his own. The fingers of his hand on the armrest laced through mine and I let out another contented sigh. He of course laughed at me. He gently pried my hand off of his face and lowered it so that he could hold both of mine in one of his. Now, with one free hand, he cupped my face.

My eyes drifted shut for a moment as he freed his other hand; I didn't move. Suddenly, almost roughly, he took my face in both of his hands and pulled me, with a gasp, to his; then his lips were upon mine. I heard the movie begin somewhere in the background but it wasn't important. The only important thing right now, was the feel of his lips on mine and trying to remember to breath through the haze beginning to cloud my brain. Without a concious command from said clouded brain, my arms wound themselves up and around his neck and pulled me closer to him. His fingertips trailed down my neck; one hand stopped there, its palm pressed lightly against the pulse point of my throat, the other continued down to my waist. His fingers, cooler than his face, made me gasp slightly. With a smile, his mouth followed the trail made by his fingers down to my neck. His lips replaced his palm and he nipped my skin gently; being very careful not to break the skin.

In that moment, my mind cleared. I tried to pull his face back to mine to kiss him, but he would have nothing of it. With a growl of barely concealed desire he pulled away. Looking me in the eyes he said the words I dreaded: "Have you made your decision?"

Story

Rayn, a somewhat rich, VERY goth 17yr. old girl, lives in a small town. She's always believed in vampires and other 'myths' and even fancies herself one based on the fact that she grew an impressively long set of fangs and loves the taste of blood. When Kado moves to town and the two begin talking, and eventually dating, Rayn discovers that they are real. Kado then drops the bomb on her. Kado gives her the choice to either become a vampire and spend eternity with him while giving up her home, family, and everything she knows (to become a vampire Rayn must be drained by Kado, then drink some of his blood back), OR giving up every aspect of the supernatural, including him, forever. What will she choose?

History/Bio: A happy go lucky child, Rayn was completely normal until she turned 11. When she was 11 she lost her two top front canine teeth. When they grew back, they just kept growing and growing until finally other children began to tease her. She'd already been an anomaly since two of her bottom teeth had grown back slightly longer and sharper than the rest, now she was just plain weird. Rather than let the teasing get to her, she embraced it and let it become her. Now, she is taller, more busty, and hotter than ever and still has her fangs. No one teases anymore. She spends her days alone with a book or her iPod normally or with her best friend who's her polar opposite.

Ever since the teasing began she has been fascinated with vampires and mythology. She believes that they are real and existing alongside humanity.

History/Bio: Kado's human life was normal until he turned nineteen. Naturally at this age he was full of hormones. And woman were very appealing to him. He managed to get himself into a pretty bad situation when he ran into a person that wasn't a person at all. The Vampire who turned him, she was looking for someone that would spend and eternity with her. She figured he fit the bill. And changed him. What she didn't count on was him hating her for taking his choice from him. He left and has lived on his own for quite some time now. Learning about humans from a distance he came back into society a couple years ago and has been looking for a special someone to spend eternity with him.
Personality: Kado is a vampire that's usually fun to be around. He's nice and all that but only if he likes you. First impressions are a big thing with him. If you make the right impression then he begins to like you. Very persistent when he asks a question he usually wants an answer sooner rather than later. When he feels that his emotions are showing too much he pulls away from them depending on who he's with.

Rayn leaned away from Kado with a sigh. She knew that after she answered there would be no more 'fun'. "No Kado. Would you quit bugging me about it? You've only asked me twice everyday for the past three days." She knew that she was being petty but she couldn't help it.

Kado didn't seem to realize that this was a huge decision. Rayn would have to leave her family, the few friends she had, her home, everything if she became a vampire. She would spend eternity with him. She didn't know if she was ready for that. How could she be, she was only 17.

Wanting to at least try to go back to what they were doing before Rayn leaned toward Kado. "I'm sorry..." She whispered as she tried to kiss him.

Kado knew that answer was coming. She'd been giving just about the same mini speech to him every time that he asked. He was growing impatient but he'd hold out for that answer. For her he could do that. Even if went against his very nature. He pulled back when she did running his flat front teeth over her pulse one last time.

"You know I can't. I'll bug you about it all the time until I get an answer." he murmured to her. And he knew he would see that statement through unfortunately. Leaning forward he pecked her on the lips one last time.

"Maybe we should watch the movie. You can think about your answer later." he said sliding his fingers through hers. Luckily she calmed him as much as she riled him up. If she didn't he'd be afraid to just be around her...

Rayn pouted. It'd been this way ever since he'd asked her. Why couldn't things just go back to the way they were before. She kissed him back and turned to watch the movie grudgingly. She'd get nowhere with begging.

When the movie was over Rayn didn't move. She sat in the dark staring at the screen even after it went blank. She hadn't really watched the movie much at. She'd been thinking too much and her thoughts had kept her constantly distracted. "Well that was a... great movie... Don't you think?" After the little fiasco beforehand she didn't really know what to say.

Kado had watched her from the corner of his eye instead of watching the movie. If he wasn't mistaken she hadn't even watched the movie. He felt bad. His question was definitely keeping them from enjoying one another as a couple.

He just couldn't help it. Kado sighed as he stood and turned to her tugging at her hand lightly so that she would know he wanted her to stand. "You didn't even watch the movie." he accused her in a light playful tone.

Perhaps he could just shove his thoughts away for a little bit and get her to smile and have a good time.

When Rayn looked toward Kado she didn't like what she saw. He looked almost sad. No no no no no! That won't do. I have to fix it. She grinned at him showing her playful side.

"Nope. I was distracted... The hottest goth guy on the face of the planet was holdin' my hand the whole time and I couldn't think of anything else." Her grin grew into a full size smile and she hugged him tightly for a moment. Turning, never releasing his hand, Rayn dragged him from the theatre.

Outside in the hall she paused a moment. The bright lights hurt her eyes a bit and she knew it was hell on Kado's eyes. "Where are we going from here love? It's almost curfew time" She sighed somewhat sadly. It was all an act though. She was only acting in the way she knew would make him happy. She wouldn't let him see her agonizing over this decision. It would only make him feel worse. "I think we've got just enough time to take the scenic route through the park... If ya know what I mean." She gave him a flirty smile and played with his fingers.

He smiled at her. This was better than her thinking over that question. "Well I certainly hope that guy two rows in front of us doesn't think your talking about him." Kado murmured. Hugging her back he let her tug him along behind her. His smiled died when the light hit his eyes.

Ugh, did they really need this much light to see? Surely a couple missing lights wouldn't completely blind them. Shaking off the feeling he looked to Rayn. Much better than the lights. Curfew. Boy didn't that suck. She had to go to sleep soon and he'd rather not deal with her parents.

Who at this moment he did not know. Then her next sentence gave him pause. Hmm the scenic route. "Mmm tell me anyway." he said wanting to here exactly what she had in mind. He knew what he wanted to do.

((I'm sorry, but if I stay up any longer my brain will kill me. Literally. It will die and take me with it XP Pick up tomorrow? I know we just started ._.))

Stepping just a bit closer, a flirtatious and teasing smile in her eyes Rayn snickered a bit. "Ohhh... you know. Just a few stolen kisses off the paved path... Maybe a few minutes together hidden in the trees. Nothin' major.." She winked and raised her eyebrows. "Whaddya say?"

Rayn nibbled the inside of her lip. She hoped she wasn't laying it on to thick with the pep and happy. It wasn't normally like her to be so flamboyant.

Kado watched her closely as she spoke. It made him happy that she wanted to spend time with him. Of course any guy would be happy with the girl of his dreams. But she seemed a little off. A little bit of something else that usually wasn't her. Pulling her up against his side he looked down at her raising his other hand to trace the line of her jaw.

"Hmm perhaps I would like that, if half your mind didn't seem to be in another place right now." he murmured still watching her. He frowned a bit, maybe he was pushing her a bit too much. "Just relax for me, Rayn. We only have a little more time together tonight before you have to go back to your home." he said. "Let's just enjoy the night while we can," he said with a smile and a peck to her lips. Then he started pulling her forward with him so that they could take the long way home.
