"Hello, and yes it is Lyna." She said as she stood up and moved out of the girl's way. She wasn't trying to intrude on the girl but she had some questions and she knew that if she didn't ask them while they were on her mind she would completely forget to ask. She smiled at Marrisa, brushing some lose strands of her silver hair back out of her face. A cat walked by, she seemed to give a little jerk as she held back some of her animal insticts to talk to it.

Just before Sylvie was ready to start pacing, there was a knock on the door. Not that Gavin was a moment late, but the candle-maker was anxious. It didn't matter that she'd known her date for years. Her heart raced, too.
And the young man she opened her door too was familiar, and yet she'd never seen him in shirt and slacks. Anymore, it was usually the clean-but-stained butcher whites. "Gavin, hi!" A nervous laugh escaped before she could contain it, and she opened the door wide for him. "Um, come in. Do you want anything to drink or, um..." How long has it been? she asked herself again. Am I supposed to ask him in? That's what friends do, right?

Gaven saw Sylvie in the blue dress and it took his breath away, she was radiant. The blue of the dress was complemented by her eyes, those were more beautiful than the dress. He handed her the bouquet of flowers and stepped over the threshold. “Y-you look stunning, Sylvie!” Gaven exclaimed breathlessly. He wanted to keep looking at her, but he didn’t want to stare so he focused his attention on her store. He found one of her votives that she’d been working on and commented on it unique beauty while he tried to think of how to get the ball rolling. He didn’t want to make her feel rushed, “I can wait if you aren’t ready yet.”
Marissa watched Lyna as she opened the door to her store, “Would you like something to drink?” She felt the girl wanted to discuss something important, plus the air of mystery was too much to be ignored. She was curious about this girl and wanted to learn more about her and her dream catchers.
Kyle heard the door unlock and when the lights came on to reveal Marissa his excitement couldn’t be contained. “MARISSA! Oh my love I was soo worried about you!” He tried to tackle hug her but because he was a ghost he passed through her sending a wave of warmth through his body. Marissa shivered because him passing through her caused her a cold chill.
“Stop doing that! I’m not your love, and try to behave when there are guests over!” Marissa used her stern voice though it was a bit squeaky after his transparent body breached hers.

"That.....would be nice." She said as she followed her into the shop, shutting the door behind them. She was glad that they could have this chance to talk even though she seemed to be busy. She smiled at the girl, letting her features relax from the animal like features that were comming onto her face.

Sylvie laughed nervously, blushing. "Um... Thank you! You look great, too. Really... really great. I'm ready when you are, if you just want to..." Then she noticed the flowers. He'd given her flowers and she'd barely noticed. "You know what? Come in while I put these in a vase. They're beautiful, Gavin."
She quickly found a blue Wedgwood-imitation vase, which was sturdier than it looked, in a back closet. Soon enough the bouquet was arranged, watered, and displayed prominently in her living room. "What is the plan for tonight, then?"

Gaven nervously rubbed the back of his head, “Well, to tell you the truth I was hoping you’d pick which movie you wanted to watch and then afterwards we’d go to a little Italian restaurant I know. That is if you like Italian?” He watched her arrange the flowers in a vase while he waited for her reply.

"The movie, right." She grinned sheepishly, and fumbled with her purse. "Um, I think they're still playing that disaster movie at the Gibbous Moon, if you want to go there?" The Gibbous was a second-run theater, small, independent. The floors tended to be a bit sticky, but the popcorn was perfect, and it was Sylvie's favorite. It was also pretty cheap, which didn't hurt.
"Oh, and I love Italian. That sounds perfect!"

A disaster movie, Gaven couldn’t believe his luck! He’d wanted to see the movie but hadn’t had time to lately. He stopped fidgeting and looked at her in admiration, she was amazing. He walked over to her and gently brushed her hand with his fingers as he reached for a little blue flower that was tucked in with the variety of other flowers. He took it from the boutique and tucked the stem behind her hair, leaving the flower showing and highlighting her eyes, “Did I mention that you look wonderful this evening?” He smiled down at her and took her hand in his.

Gavin's hand was strong and warm, and it enveloped hers. Suddenly she was self-conscious about the state of her fingernails, the callouses, small burn scars here and there. But then, his hand was a working one, too. Just bigger. Surely he understood.
She remembered to breath. "You mentioned. You look great. Did I say that?" Her smile was a bit weak. What was this, she wondered. It was only a first date, for the love of...

Gavin continued to smile and nodded his head, “If your ready to go catch that movie we’ll want to leave soon, I can give you more time if you need to get your purse or..um something.” He didn’t know what women took out on dates, but his dad used to complain that his mom took forever and always took things she didn’t need out on their date nights. He headed to the door, “I’ll wait for you by the front gate.” He smiled back at her as he opened the door.

"Oh, no, I'm ready," Sylvie protested, letting go of Gavin's hand to grab the jacket draped over the back of a chair. She pulled it on, somehow not dislodging the flower in her hair, and followed him, locking the door behind her.
"Beautiful evening, isn't it?" she asked, trying to make conversation.

“Yes it is beautiful.” He grabbed her had and swung her around to the end of the road to catch a last glimpse of the setting sun. He was glad they’d get to see it together, Gavin was ecstatic that his day was ending so well. “Come on let’s go catch that movie, I’ve been wanting to see it. I was a bit surprised that you’d want to see it though.

Sylvie laughed. "We have plenty of time, and why were you surprised?" Her livelihood revolved around fire, after all, and after spending hours each day working with the controlled sort, watching explosions was almost a relief. She was no arsonist, so she wasn't sure why this was. Then again, lots of people liked explosions. They were plenty common in the movies!

“Well, don’t take this the wrong way, you’re a girl. I thought you’d want to watch a chic flick.” He laughed nervously as he rubbed the back of his head. He started walking towards town, in the direction of the movie theater.

Sylvie had to walk quickly to keep up with Gavin. He was taller than she was, and his strides longer. His nerves were speeding up his pace. Of course, hers were doing the same thing. "Chick flicks are for the third or fourth date at least," she grinned. "Like I'd subject you to a rom com on the first…" She shook her head. "No, it's fine. I'm a girl in a girly profession. It was a safe assumption." She had a feeling that Gavin didn't go in for every guy thing ever. For example, she'd never ask him to see a slasher flick. Fake blood and gore, to a butcher's son, would be especially lame, wouldn't it?

Gavin thought about it and agreed that they would both like the disaster movie. He told her that he’d heard some of the customers at the store discussing it, most had been good reviews. It hadn’t been a surprise to hear the nit-picky customers complaining about it. “Do you want to get something to eat and drink for the movie? I mean, I know we’re going to eat Italian afterwards, but just something to hold us until then.” He smiled sheepishly, if it wasn’t for his active lifestyle he’d be much larger. He not only loved cooking, but he loved to eat.

"You mean like popcorn?" she asked. "I'd love that. Gibbous really makes the best in town." Not that she was a connoisseur or anything, but the theater corn was always hot and fresh, not too salty, and with real, slightly garlicky butter. Now that she thought about it, it would be a perfect appetizer for an Italian meal.

Gavin smiled, “Good, because to be perfectly honest I love food! I love to prepare it, cook it, work with it, and of course enjoy the company of others sharing a meal.” He didn’t mean to get so excited about his passion for food, but before he knew it the words were out. Gavin turned a bit red and quieted down.
Marissa introduced Lyna to Kyle then led her upstairs to the kitchen, “Would you like something to drink Lyna? Sorry about Kyle, he’s…a new addition and he thinks he’s in love with me.” To this Kyle replied, “I do love you Marissa, my love is a boundless ocean that stretches to eternity. If I were alive, I’d die for you, again. If I…” but his speech was interrupted, “Kyle, could you give us some space? I don’t want to scare off Lyna away.” Kyle pouted and went over to Lyna and tried to grasp her hand to kiss it but his hand passed through hers, “It is always nice to meet a new friend of Marissa’s. I would kiss your hand, but as you can see I am a transparent departed being.” Marissa shook her head and put her head in her hands, ashamed.

"Ghost.....you have no place in the world of the living, moving on would be better for you. Yes something to drink would be nice, Thank you." Lyna said her words weren't harsh but simple informative, she walked over to the table and sat down, she had some questions that she wantted to ask and well the ghost had just made more pop into her head, she fidgetted for a little bit before she forced her self to relax, she loooked around the place. "Your home is lovely." she said as she gestured to around it, glad that she can seem to speak more freely here then in the other home.

Marissa smiled and looked up at Lyna from behind her hands, “Thank you, what would you like to drink? I have tea, milk, coffee, hot cocoa. Almost everything, hmm.” Kyle was still hanging around and watching Marissa, almost in a trance. “I have tried to move on, but it’s almost as if there’s something that won’t let me continue. I think Marissa is the reason I’m unable to move on, I was supposed…” Kyle was trying to explain but Marissa cut him off, “supposed to meet me in your life. Well here I am and we met! Can we get a bit of privacy please?” Marissa usually wasn’t this agitated, but she was sleep deprived, hungry, cold from the earlier encounter, and she hadn’t talked to Illusious all day. No small wonder she’d be a bit on edge. Kyle left and Marissa smiled apologetically at Lyna. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…”

"It is fine.....i assume you have had a how you put it a rough day? water will be fine thank you. Marissa, what are you? I mean i am not trying to be rude but your not human i know that much." she got a little flusttered, she smiled at the girl. She was actually listening to the ghost but she assumed that the girl was tired of the man, she smoothed her clothes in a nerves habit. She wasn't trying to impose on the girl but she had questions and she need to ask them before she forgot, that was just how her mind work, it was actually kinda said really.

Marissa laughed unexpectedly, “Ha, I thought you seemed a bit different. You’re observations are correct Lyna, I’m not human, well not entirely. I’m half witch and half elf, I’m currently trying to prove myself as a witch. But you, I can’t seem to figure out what you are. I’d rather not guess, I usually get it wrong. Here’s your water. Sorry I don’t mean to be so talkative, it’s been a long day. So tell me, what brings you here?” Marissa really was trying to listen more, but the adrenaline rush from yelling at Kyle had made her chatty. She placed the glass of water in front of Lyna and sat down at the table and offered her a chair at the opposite side.

"I came here because....well i wasn't completely welcomed in either of my races. I am what you say........an abomination to the laws of nature?" she had trouble picking out some of her words, she had to think about what the right thing to say was, she answered her question nodding her head in understanding to her other words. she sat across from the girl to the chair she motioned to, sipping gentle at her glass of water. "You being talkative is all right.....it is actually quite hard for me to find the right words. So it is better if for me if i listen then talk. It seems that you have answered all the questions i had. is there anything you want to know about me?" she spoke as she smiled, setting her glass down and began to smooth her clothes again, she didn't like clothes much but in the human world there seemed to be a need for them unlike with animals.

Marissa was taken aback, “I don’t think you’re an abomination! I think you’re unique, one of a kind. Though I don’t know what you are, I do know that you are a pleasant person thus far. What are you exactly? I did notice you have a hard time speaking, are you from another country? Oh, I hope I’m not prying too much. You don’t have to answer any of my questions if you don’t want to. Oh, and where did you learn to make the dream catchers?” Marissa was intrigued, she’d never met anyone like Lyna. Well, except for Lithia, Kisa, and Kyle. Now that she thought about it Marissa had made a lot of strange and wonderful friends in the last few days.

"Well my father is native american i was raised up with him and he taught me everything i know. He is well decended from a indian and a elf. I only have a hint of elf in me. Well my mother is Shapeshifter and she died when i was really little. As for my words i have problems because of the fact i mostly talk to animals....they acceptted me unlike other normal humans. Thank you, your words are kind, but no i am not from another country." she had told many people this story who had asked her, which is why it had come so easily to her. then they rejectted her and she ahd to move on, she hoped this time was different she liked it here. She drank some of her water, before she went to smooth out her clothes again, she didn't just make dream catchers, there were a variety of things that she made, and she also healed animals when they needed it.
