Without thinking, Sylvie grasped Gavin's arm. She'd never heard him so enthusiastic about something, even though he seemed to enjoy his work, and for him to go quiet as though embarrassed about it. "I didn't know you were a foodie, Gavin." She smiled up at him, encouragingly, and hoped he didn't take that as an insult. Well, however else the evening went, she expected dinner to be amazing.

viktoriaewing 03-29-2010 02:20 AM

Wow a real Shapeshifter! Marissa couldn’t believe her luck. Many times her mother had told her that Shapeshifters brought luck to the area that they were living in. Maybe her luck would change and she’d get more customers, or better yet get rid of the ghost. “Are you really a Shapeshifter? What can you change into? Is it, like, only one animal you can change into? Like a werewolf, or can you change into a lot of things? Or just animals? Sorry, I’m just…in shock! I heard Shapeshifter’s are good luck.” Marissa was trying not to stare, but she was becoming more and more intrigued.

Gavin rubbed the back of his head and smiled, “Yea, I’m a foodie. Maybe….even if you don’t like me after this date…or if we stayed friends…or something.” Gavin had hit a wall, he was too nervous. “Not that we wouldn’t at least still be friends...” Taking a deep breath he stopped walking and closed his eyes, “What I’m trying to say is, would you like to come over sometime and let me cook for you?”

Cicadetta 03-29-2010 02:28 AM

It was Sylvie's turn to blush. "Of course we'd at least still be friends, Gavin!" She wondered how he could even suggest otherwise, even in passing, but, well, he was nervous. And so was she. "I'd love that, actually. But only if you let me take care of the table setting." She would never be a gourmet chef, but she knew centerpieces.

Kilia 03-29-2010 02:37 AM

"This is a......first. Well i can change into anything i like just not plants or other humans. My fur or feathers are always silver like my hair and my eyes are always teal. I can change the color of my fur or feathers to make them look more natrual but i haven't learned that yet. If you want i could show you, if you do not beileve that i am what i claim to be. Pick any animal and i can change into it just not anything to big or else i am afraid i might ruin your house." she said, happiness was clear in her voice, no one was ever excitted to meet her kind, she was grinning even though she was stumbling over her words when she was speaking or made an animal noise between each sentence.as for shapeshifters being good luck she didn't know about it, she never seemed to have anything good happen to her until now. She stood up and walked over to a section of the room that was big enough for her to turn into some animals.

viktoriaewing 03-29-2010 02:48 AM

Marissa was so excited, “Really any animal? What about imaginary ones, like menataurs? Oh, you know what I’d love to see? You as a silver bird, I can’t even imagine it. But that would be so pretty. Are you sure you don’t mind?” Marissa wondered what Lyna meant by this being a first. But it was only a fleeting thought and Marissa’s mind was awash in imagining Lyna as a tiger, bird, hawk, fish (though that one could be dangerous if there wasn’t any water around).

Gavin smiled down at her and opened his eyes, “it’s a deal!” He stuck his hand out to shake on it. “Just let me know what your favorite meal is and I’ll try my best to make it the best thing you’ve ever eaten.”

Cicadetta 03-29-2010 02:53 AM

Sylvie shook her date's hand, laughing a little. Her favorite meal? "I'll have to get back to you on that one. But I'll let you know, I promise." Then her eyes lingered to the little watch around her wrist. "How about that movie? We need time to get that popcorn, right?"

Kilia 03-29-2010 02:58 AM

"Mythical creatures are harder to do. It takes alot out of me and i can only hold it for a few seconds, so i guess that is marked off my list of things to change into. Last time i did that well it wasn't pretty. No i don't mind this is actually really excitting for me as it is for you. So a bird? What type of bird?" she asked she was smiling widley now, her words comming even easier to her then the had in years. She started to strip down so she would ruin her clothes that she had to walk hom in later. That is one thing about shifters, they prefurred to be naked, they was comfortable in thier nudity and when ever they shifted thier clothes got destroyed depending on what they were changing into. If thier clothes were made from shifter hide then they had no need to strip. "Sorry if you feel awkward at my nudity but i am more comfortable in the nude and shiftting ruins clothes." she said as she gave the girl an apologetic smile, she was completely naked now, streatching out her muscles before she had to shift so her form would be dissorted by human featuyres.

viktoriaewing 03-29-2010 03:15 AM

*sorry this is my last post for tonight, i have work in the morning. See you guys tomorrow?*

Right the movie, “Sorry, yea we better get a move on. We don’t want to miss the previews, other then food and the movie, they’re my favorite part.” He smiled as the started walking again. They were almost there, and it wasn’t like they didn’t know where they were going. The movie wouldn’t start for another 30 minutes if they made the matinee show. They arrived 5 minutes later and Gavin bought the tickets and then ordered popcorn, a drink, and a few sour and chocolaty goodies. Then turning to Sylvie he asked, “So what do you want to eat?”

Marissa turned a bright shade of pink and averted her eyes, she didn’t want Lyna to feel exposed. Even though she said she was more comfortable this way Marissa still felt like she was intruding, no she felt…ok yes awkward. So Marissa tried to think of different birds that Lyna could change into, “What about a swallow, I love their double tails. Oh, what about peacocks, those are also pretty. You know now that I think about it, all birds are beautiful and majestic in their own right. Why don’t you choose, I like them all.”

Kilia 03-29-2010 03:47 AM

"Sorry again. okay you will really like this one then." She grinned before she bent down to hide her nakedness, since she noticed that the girl was feeling more awkward then normal, it wasn't like they had different things after all they were both female, well that was how Lyna saw it. She changed into a humming bird first, flying over to her, zipping from one spot to another, she didn't have any place to perch but she gave the girl time to look over her as a silver humming bird, after a few minutes she went and landed on the edge of her glass. Looking at the girl, she gave a whistle as she cocked her head to the side.

Cicadetta 03-29-2010 04:16 AM

So Gavin was treating tonight, and it seemed impolite to argue. This really was an honest-to-goodness date. Sylvie was glad she'd dressed the part, at least. "Uhh, probably just a soda and some popcorn," she replied. They would be having dinner later, and while she kept in decent shape, she knew she had to watch what she ate. She approached the counter to order her goodies.

viktoriaewing 04-05-2010 01:35 AM

Marissa looked at Lyna in awe, “You’re so beautiful! Wow, you’re like a bullet when you fly around like that.” She giggled, “Is it ok if…well, I don’t want to be rude, but can I pet you?” Marissa loved birds and had always dreamed of flying, and looking at Lyna’s transformed body made her a bit envious.

“Ok, another bag of popcorn and soda coming right up!” He paid for the food and once they had their junk food Gavin led them into the theater. There they were instructed to go down the hall and turn right into theater number 13. Gavin carried their tray of drinks and food and insisted he could handle it as they walked to the theater room that was playing their movie.

Kilia 04-05-2010 02:19 AM

Lyna flew and landed on the back of her chair, changing into a bigger bird, which just happened to be an owl of some sort, it was hard to tell. She hopped onto the table and walked over to Marissa, turnning so she could pet her, she would have stayed a humming bird but they are so small that a certain amount of pressure could break something in her. She didn't mind if the girl petted her it was something she was used to from being around little kids once in a while. She gave the girl a hoot in reply as if to say thank you and go ahead.

Cicadetta 04-05-2010 02:27 AM

Sylvie flushed a little -- she was perfectly capable of carrying her own things -- but Gavin seemed determined to play his own part, and it seemed a petty thing to ruin an evening over. She was a little irked about the instructions, though. It was a small independent theater, not some huge multiplex with stadium seating and dozens of screens. And she'd been here plenty of times! She knew her way around...

Wait. Back up. Not only was this hall too long, the Gibbous only had three screens. "Um, Gavin." She placed a gentle but insistent hand on his upper arm. "This is wrong. There is no theater thirteen. What's going on?"

viktoriaewing 04-05-2010 02:37 AM

Lyna hooted at her and Marissa lifted her hands gingerly to pet the silver feathered owl. With this color on any animal, Marissa couldn’t imagine anyone ever hating Lyna. She was beautiful in all her forms, especially in human form. Though Marissa was shy she was only human and felt envious of Lyna’s silver hair, and tan skin. She was so cute, her speech, though broken, was adorable. “What did you want to talk to me about today Lyna?” Marissa was enthralled and was asking the question languidly, her eyes drooping. She felt a strange and warm comfort from Lyna, as if no matter what she’d be safe.

Gavin stopped, thinking she was going to argue about carrying the food. Theater 13, wait she was right. There wasn’t that many, “Maybe they expanded.” But looking around he could feel that there was something ominous about the place. Something was telling him that this wasn’t right, he wondered if Alex and Holly would know. They were magical beings, but then again he didn’t want to get them into anything dangerous. Looking down into Sylvie’s blue eyes Gavin made a split decision, “Maybe I should call my place, I have some friends who can look online and see when this place was remodeled. So you mind holding these while I call?” He gestured the food and drink trays.

Cicadetta 04-05-2010 02:46 AM

The hair on the back of her neck prickled. "I was just here a week or so ago. It was not like this." Mundane remodeling just didn't happen that quickly, and Sylvie would have noticed a change of that nature. Hadn't she almost immediately seen the theater's new interior paint job last year? Still, she took the trays. It would probably make Gavin feel better, making the call.

Kilia 04-05-2010 02:52 AM

Lyna just stood there, being petted, when she heard the question the girl ask she turnned her head completly upside down. She was in thought, trying to remember exactly why she was there, nothing seemed to come to her bird brain. She didn't remember, it was actually kind sad for her, she did have questions, a list of them in her head but she was to caught up in shiffting and answering Marissa's questions that she completely forgot about her own. She hopped to her Chair again before she flew to her clothes, changing into her human form and quickly getting dressed so she wouldn't make Marissa even more uncomfortable. "You know i completely forgot what i was going to ask you.....I am sorry it is just one of the many things about me. I wish i could remember though." she said to her genuinely senscre, she walked back to her chair and sat down, sipping at the water again, she seriously wished she could remember what she wantted to ask her about.

viktoriaewing 04-05-2010 03:00 AM

Taking out his cell he dialed the number to his home phone, he hoped they would answer. He looked at Sylvie apologetically as the phone rang once, twice, thrice. “Please pick up the phone.” He whispered to himself more than anyone else.

Marissa yawned, “Oh, a I’m sorry. I didn’t sleep much last night, I’ve been studying a spell I’ll be performing soon and lost track of the time. Do you want to stay here for the night, it’s a bit of a walk in the woods. I could make up the guest bed if you’d like?” She liked Lyna a lot, not just because of the shifting. Maybe it was meeting someone who was also a “mutt” as she was teased at her old home. She was too tired to dwell on any thoughts, but she did want to learn more about her new neighbor.

Kilia 04-05-2010 03:29 AM

"Oh, thank you." she said as she smiled at the girl, she stood up and streatched for a moment as she looked out the window, seeing the darkness out side. She wondered if she should stay, after all there was still so much that she needed to do. "Are you sure it is okay for me to stay with you?" she asked the girl, she was still looking out isde at the moment though, it was more of a animal thing then a human thing, for the reason she was straing out at the night.

Holly and Alex had just gotten back to Gavins place and Holly skipped over to pick up the phone. "Hello? Gaven's not here right now. Can I take a message?" She said very perkily. Alex looked at her with a questioning face and mouthed. 'Who is it?' She shrugged. "With whom am I speaking?" Holly asked walking over to him and taking his hand. Gaven wouldn't mind them answering his phone would he?

viktoriaewing 04-05-2010 08:59 PM

“Holly? It’s Gavin, thanks for answering! Hey, I was wondering something…” Looking over at Sylvie he lowered his voice and spoke straight into the receiver. “Um, well Sylvie and I are at the theater and there’s something strange going on here. There are way more movies and theater rooms then there are supposed to be. I don’t know if you get that hair’s standing up on the back of your neck feeling but it’s really…ominous. I just don’t want to put Sylvie in a dangerous situation, and since magic is real I’m sure there are some who may not be as pure hearted in their intentions as you and Alex.” Gavin was rambling and was having a hard time stopping.

Marissa got up and washed the dishes, “I don’t mind at all, Kyle will leave you alone and Illusious has been keeping to herself lately.” Marissa dried the dishes and trudged to the guest room and pulled out some extra comforters, “Just in case you get cold.” She smiled at Lyna, “Oh what would you like for breakfast? So I don’t wake you in the morning to ask.” Though Marissa wasn’t the best cook she could make a decent meal every once in a while.

broadway_princessxo34 04-05-2010 09:13 PM

Holly took a deep breath. She knew what he was talking about. That was her kind of magic. The kind that hurt others was something she had often done. "Yeah...I know what you mean. I think Alex and I should come meet you there. Just to be sure. If anything does happen we could help you. Don't go in the theater...." Alex frowned and knew who it was pulling the phone from Holly. "Gaven, it's Alex, what theater number are you in? Can you call Holly's cell phone number please so we can get over there. I don't want you to get off the phone. Does Sylvie have a phone? I don't mean to worry you....but I know the feeling and it means...BAD."

Kilia 04-05-2010 10:38 PM

"I eat about anything, well somethings i won't eat. Thank you." She said to her as she looked around the room, it was beautiful in a more modren way then her house. She smiled at the girl and hugged her, she was very grateful to her for what she was doing for her.

viktoriaewing 04-06-2010 01:57 AM

Gavin glanced over at Sylvie again, a worried expression on his face. Then turning away he hissed into the phone, “BAD? How bad? Like we should leave bad or hide until this blows over bad?” His mind was racing, how could he let this happen to Sylvie? Would he be able to protect her? Should he tell her the truth, or keep her calm and unaware of the possible danger they were in? Then his mind cleared and he remembered what Alex had asked him, “Alex we were supposed to go to theater 13, but we’re in the hallway halfway to that theater room. If Sylvie hadn’t been so observant I would have…” He let that thought trail off not wanting to jinx anything. Taking a deep breath Gavin continued, “What’s her phone number, I’ll call it on Sylvie’s phone if she has one, just a second.” Turning to Sylvie he looked down at her and asked quietly, “Do you have your cell phone on you and can I use it?” He kept the phone to his ear and as another couple passed them he faked a laugh into the receiver, “Yea man! You already told me that one.” Once they’d passed he looked back at the usher taking tickets was now staring at them in suspicion. Gavin tried to play it cool by pointing at the phone and mouthing “sorry”.

Marissa made up the bed and told Lyna if she needed anything in the kitchen to help herself, where the bathroom was, and where her bedroom was if Lyna needed her. “I hope you have sweet dreams Lyna.” She smiled as she headed out of the guest bedroom.

Cicadetta 04-06-2010 02:22 AM

Sylvie listened intently to Gavin's half of the conversation as she balanced the trays, thanking the stars for her summer as a waitress, back when she'd been a rebellious high schooler and needed to get away from the candle shop. "Yeah, I do," she replied when he asked for her cell. It seemed a little strange, but that described the whole situation and besides, she trusted the butcher's boy. "It should be charged. It's in my purse." The little bag hung neatly over her shoulder, but Sylvie's hands were full. Gavin would have to dig out the phone himself. Luckily there wasn't too much in the bag to sort through. She hoped.

She glanced apologetically at the usher, and then quickly looked away again. He made her hair stand on end even more, and she had no idea that was even possible.

Kilia 04-06-2010 02:43 AM

"Thank you....good night to you too." Lyna said to her as she watched her leave, she closed the door and hung the dream catcher she had with her over the head board before she striped down. She changed into a fox, curled up on the bed and feel asleep that way.
