(Last minute shopping is scary. Happy New Years. :) Oh, and I'm not entirely sure, but do the servants still work on the day of the ball or not? If not I'll change my post.)

Milli finally found a long blue dress with a small bow tied in the back. She went to the register and paid for it with her credit card. It felt odd at first, but she'd get used to it soon enough. Soon enough all the shopping was done, and the two girls met back up with the other servants of the castle. They all headed back, and tired from the day's antics, all went right to sleep, awaiting the day of the ball.

____________-

Olivia had finally gotten back to the castle after the long weekend. Well at least to her it seemed long as she did most of the work. The professor was glad she was able to rescue all of the soldiers. Well most, as a few were not strong enough to last the spells effects. She sighed while she got ready for the ball that night. It wasn't exactly something she was looking forward to. Just another useless formality and Shani would be there as well.
__________-

Milli got up in the morning eager for the day to begin, she was even more excited for the ball later that night. She hurried down to the lab and began her work for the day keeping an eye on the time so that she'd have enough time to get ready for the ball later.

[Yup, they have work before the ball. It only lasts until the afternoon though, except for some of the servants who do the decorations and food for the ball :)]

Argyle buttoned up his cuffs as he stood before the mirror. Without looking at his reflection, he turned towards the walk in closet and grabbed his formal coat. After putting it on he carefully stuck the royal medals in their respective places on the cloth and donned a heavy intricate golden medallion around his neck, the symbols of the Ylla royal family.

He headed down to the ballrooms soon joined by various Digamma nobles. While the guests and other event attendees, the king and his entourage remained outside the doors. The people within were ushered to the sides of the great room, leaving the middle free for the king to pass. Soon trumpets were sounded and the gilded doors were opened. As the fanfare played the parade of elites made their way to the front of the ball room where a throne stood, surrounded by tables for the leaders of the nations. After Argyle reached the throne and the nobles who had accompanied him moved to their respective seats, the music stopped and all eyes were on the white haired teen.

"Dear friends, I welcome all of you to this wonderful event. Digamma, my great grandfather's prized work, could not have come to be without the help if its allies. To you, our friends of the south, north, west, and east, may we always be by your side as you have been by ours. Let us continue supporting each other through hardships and enjoy the peace we shall soon create. Now, enough of the formalities. Shall we dance?"

As the music began to play, he walked over to one of the nearby tables and took the hand of a lady dressed in a floral green dress. She had an elaborate hairstyle, the delicate locks of her dark green hair intertwined with tiny white and yellow flowers. She was surprised by the young majesty's choice of dance partner and blushed slightly as he led her to the dance floor, though the blush could barely be seen on her olive green skin. The pair were the first to dance and the lights seemed fixed on them. Soon, other nobles and country leaders followed suite and gracefully joined the formal waltz. It seemed like everything had been rehearsed, no toe stepped out of line as skirts twirled and hands crossed. This was the opening dance and after it ended, the ballroom floor became open to everyone else who had attended. The music became more upbeat and light chatter filled the air as almost everybody began to dance. Friends came together at tables while lovers danced together intimately. The king moved around the tables and greeted each and everyone of his important political guests, talking business and catching up with the private lives of good friends.

An hour later, dinner was served and the attendees returned to their tables to receive the wonderful food. Argyle sat alone on his throne, his food remained untouched on the small table beside him. He didn't eat but enjoyed his drink as he spoke with the important political figures around him. International matters were brought up, such as Digamma's aid of the countries attacked by Ororon's forces and the rebuilding of Stygia and Apsa, two countries who had been at war but recently signed a peace treaty with Digamma's guidance. As he listened to some of the older leaders talk, his eyes caught sight of silver and blue.
The lights from the chandelier above her table seemed to illuminate Milli, who was listening to an animated conversation between Lily and another person. For a while, he could not remove his eyes off her. Her look for that night made her seem like a completely different person. It was only when she suddenly looked in his direction did he shift his gaze back to the politicians around him.

Near the end of the meal, entertainment for the people came in the form of a duet by two famous opera singers. Their siren like voices held the listeners captive and the whole room applauded afterwards. This was followed by a fiery show of flames by the acrobatic firedancers of the east. Dancing was once again resumed while the fabulous desserts were being served. It felt as if the merriment would last all night, however fate had other plans.

"Someone get a doctor!!" came a cry from one of the people at the leaders' table. In the tall man's arms lay the woman who danced with King Argyle earlier that night. Her skin was now pallid and she lay motionless, barely breathing. The flowers in Queen Skye's hair had closed as they were a part of the plant-like being, reflecting her grave state. Questions came about what she had been doing a moment before, what she had been eating. Accusations of poison were soon aimed at Argyle who could only look at them in shock.
____________________-

Argyle's friendly behavior always put a smile on Kraz's often stoic face. It was only during a few formal occasions that he'd see his friend without a scowl. Even if it could just be political pretense, he still welcomed it. He did not join in the dances except for the opening dance when he was required to, much to the dismay of some of the noblewomen and the female knights. The black eyed boy merely watched the celebration from his seat, only speaking to anybody when he was addressed. When the Queen lost consciousness, he quickly stood in surprise. He approached the scene, pushing his way through the crowd that had gathered around the front of the room. Being in charge of security, he ordered the guards to keep an eye out for suspicious persons and to be alert for anything. For now, he would not order a lockdown as it would cause the people to believe there was a threat to fear. He looked at the food she had eaten, wondering if she really had been poisoned. Queen Skye's people were known for only drinking water and consuming minerals since they were more flora that fauna. This thought gave him an idea. He walked over to the king and whispered something in his ear. After getting the ok, he walked away from the crowd and to the middle of the room. He knew she was around the chamber somewhere.
"Ms. Varia, we need your assistance please." Kraz called out over the murmurs of the room. Soon the surrounding people began looking around to find who the Digamma knight was summoning.

[Sorry to put you in the spotlight like this, hehe  You don't need to start just after the incident, you can describe what Milli's been doing right before the ball started. Go Milli go! :D]

Milli had almost forgotten about the ball when a coworker had asked if she had to leave soon to get ready. The silver haired girl gasped, and thanking the worker, she hurriedly finished her current work and left to her room to get ready. She quickly put on her new dress and, with the help of Lily, tried to pull her hair up into bun. It took some time and the two finally decided to keep it in a pony-tail tied with a simple black ribbon. The silver haired girl giggled as she mentioned it might be a good idea for her to get her hair cut shorter. She also helped Lily with her bun, and placed a simple yet elaborate black hairpin in it. The two them made their way to the ball.

At the ball, Milli met more of the servants and a few important figures at the ball. She enjoyed chatting with them and made quick friends with many. The food came and went. At one point Jasper, one of the librarians, mentioned that the prince had been looking at her for a while now. She turned her head to see if it was true, only to be met with a quick glance to the side, from Argyle. Thinking nothing of it she turned her attention back to the conversation at hand. When the entertainment came, Milli gasped at the fire dancers acrobatics and was excited to be able to see such famous singers in her midst. Nothing out of the ordinary happened until dessert was served. Someone had called out for a doctor almost immediately. "What's happening?" Milli worriedly asked Lilly. There was some fuss and gasps in the crowd as it was found out that Queen Skye might have been poisoned.

The blue-eyed girl gasped as her name was called, "Me? But what can I do?" She looked at Lily for courage and gather up her strength. She called out to the young man in the middle of the room, "Here I am!" And moved forward, towards the man, as Lily gave her a push in the right direction.

(hope you don't mind me doing that with Lily. I figured that might be something that would happen. :))

[No problem :D feel free to use any of the characters I made for anything  I was wanted to write something for Lily in my last post but I didn't know what  Thanks for thinking of something for me and Happy New Year! ;) By the way, do you wanna play Queen Skye? :eager:]

Kraz nodded as Milli approached him. As he led her to the ailing guest he whispered in her ear. "I understand that you have a rare way with plants. Her majesty, Queen Skye, is from an ancient clan whose people are closer to nature than any other human. Some say they are part plant themselves. While the Veridians do not allow others to study them, many legends and eyewitness accounts have shown this may be true. Even if we called a doctor, I doubt he would be able to help her. But I believe you can help. If anything, you are her physician now." Soon they approached the crowd of nobles and when the knight asked them to give way, they immediately did. Whispers of who this girl was rippled through the room but the black eyed man remained silent and ushered Milli towards the queen.
_________________________-

Argyle had quickly recomposed himself after hearing his friend's suggestion and patiently waited by the side of his guest, although some of the other noblemen signaled for him to avoid coming any closer to her since he was still a suspect in their eyes. As his sharp gray eyes made out her figure in the crowd, a sudden feeling of ease overcame him. He dared not think this peasant would be able to help his ally but the proud king could not help feel a sense of hope. She approached them, led by the knight, and during that time Argyle kept his eyes on her. He wondered if this really was the same person he had agreed to include in the research labs. This girl who had come from a lower class had a grace about her he had not noticed before. He quickly shook these thoughts off. What was important right now was whether or not she could help Queen Skye. Should she fail, Digamma would certainly lose the trust of the allies present and find itself in a war against Veridia and its allies.

"Yes sir," Milli said as she followed Kraz to Queen Skye. As she listened to the man's explanation, she then understood why he had asked for her and not for an experienced doctor. The girl upon seeing the state of the queen gasped in surprise. Skye was pale and seemed to be motionless. The man had laid her down on floor, not wanting to move her too much. Milli rushed over to her and saw how Skye was akin to a dying flower. Thankfully there were no sights of browning yet, as that would mean the queen really was dying. The silver haired girl quickly began to use her ability, gently placing her left hand on the queen. A small green glow appeared as Milli began to calmly speak to the green skinned lady. "May you tell me what is wrong? I wish to help, not harm." Milli smiled as if she found something of interest and moved her hand closer to the queens abdomen. The small glow grew brighter and Skye's color came back slowly, her hair opening up like a flower.

_________________-

Queen Skye opened her eyes in shock and noticed the young girl beside her. "What happened?"
"Don't get up just yet," the girl gently pushed the queen down when she had tried to get up, "You're exhausted. You haven't been taking enough time to take care of yourself. The sunlight in your body is lacking a bit."
The green skinned queen was amazed at this girl, "How did you know this?"
The silver haired girl shrugged, "I just knew. I have an odd ability to heal plants and find out what's wrong with them." The queen got up and started to protest how she couldn't quite obtain as much light for her duties to her kingdom came first.
"In order to do your duty, you need to make sure you are healthy enough to cary out those duties, my Queen," Milli stated as she helped Skye up to her feet. The crowd murmured with amazement, wondering who this girl was. All suspicions of fowl play were forgotten and no blame was placed, not even to the queen herself, as all thoughts were surrounded with the girl.
"My dear," Queen Skye started, now regaining her composure, "I may wish to have you as one of my physicians."

If the king was relieved, he didn't show it. Instead he ordered that the queen be escorted back to her room to rest. He allowed the ball to continue for the sake of the people there but turned to Milli to instruct her. "Ms. Varia, please accompany her majesty to her room and attend to her needs. I will stop by later on."
He gave a look at the nobles that accused him. A look that, for a moment, seemed as cold as ice. Whether they noticed or not didn't matter to the vindicated ruler who suddenly returned to a more friendly behavior. The crowd quickly dissipated, returning to a festive mood once more. They were impressed by the girl's rare ability and pressed the issue to the king, dogging him with questions about her. Argyle only gave vague answers, preferring instead to focus on the subject of the ball and politics.

"Whew! Well that was one mess avoided, don't you agree?" Shani whispered to Olivia. The both of them had watched the scene at an up close position since they were both seated at the front tables. Shani had an appearance that seemed out of place to the lab assistants who had worked for the eccentric for so long. He wore a formal black suit instead of his usual white lab coat and his normally unmanaged hair was slicked back, giving him the appearance of a real nobleman. Though this change was limited to his outward appearance since his character was still the same. During dinner, he engaged the visiting scholars who came with the leaders in what seemed like a miniature war of words. They discussed almost every manner of scientific and magic theory and dissected the practices of modern research down to their cores. The lab assistants hazarded a guess that if the lead researchers had not been at a formal setting, they would all have been blasting each other with spells of the highest level.

Queen Skye blushed, embarrassed at her own folly. She apologized to Argyle for the mess and headed to her room to rest. Milli replied with a "Yes, your Majesty," before following the queen to her room. Not much happened later, and Milli and Skye conversed with ease while Milli waited for the king to arrive.
______________-

Olivia looked at Shani sighing loudly, "Oh your so proud of the fact that 'your' assistant possibly saved this woman's life." The professor despite having quite a few researchers to speak to, was bored of ball and impatient to get back to her studies. She looked stunning in her simple green dress with a slit on the side and her hair tied up into a bun. But her mind was only on her studies and experiments. She was, to say the least, a workaholic. She picked at the desert, "When is this going to be over?"

_____________-

Thankfully Olivia didn't have to wait to long for the ball to be disbanded. Once desert was finished and the last dance of the night was played, the guests either went home or to their respective rooms for the night after thanking Argyle for the extravagant ball. Some even commented on the girl but were met with no answers. A few servants cleaned up the ballroom but most everyone except for the guards on duty went to sleep soon after the party was finished.

The tailed young man entered the guest room after the gala event had ended, finding Milli and Queen Skye talking with each other. Servants stood nearby them, awaiting any wish they might ask. Argyle was accompanied by Kraz and a few other knights. "Queen Skye, I am pleased to see you are already feeling better. I am truly sorry if I have put you in a strenuous environment. Had I known you were tired, I would have postponed the ball." the king said after approaching the two. He then turned to Milli and did something his knights and servants had very rarely seen him do before. Ylla humbly knelt on one knee before the girl. The knights and servants of his castle also followed suit. "And I believe I owe you thanks Ms. Varia. You as well Kraz. If it hadn't been for the both of you, Digamma could have lost a wonderful friend." He then looked up at Milli, his eyes locked with hers.
_____________________________-

Shani could only grin at his co-worker's exasperated complaints. He knew Olivia was already aching to get back to work, ever the busy bee. Still, he couldn't help but feel that she was dressed nicely this evening. In fact, he appreciated that she didn't wear prudish dresses whenever there was a formal event. He would never say that to her, of course, as he could only imagine the vicious tongue-lashing he would get from her. Most likely she would have taken it as an insult of some sort if it came from him. The cheerful professor could only sigh as he left the ballroom. 'If only she wasn't so...spiky? No that's not the word...fierce? I guess that would have to do for now.' he thought, polishing his glasses before putting them back on his nose.

Milli stood up and bowed before the king once he entered the room. When Argyle Ylla had knelt before her, the girl blushed deeply. "I...um...thank you, Sir," Milli hesitated, grateful for the thanks but taken aback by it as well. It wasn't exactly everyday her powers were praised. As their eyes locked, she noticed how tired he looked. And yet, something behind the grey eyes made her wonder what was running through his head. Something had made her forget about his ears but only for a moment as she suddenly turned a little squeamish. Dogs were not something she liked and this was just a little to close. She did her best to hide her reaction, but it didn't always work out for her. Milli prayed she would be careful, if only for a bit longer.
____________-

Queen Skye looked at the king and thanked him for his hospitality. "You wouldn't have needed to postpone it. I could have just as easily sent someone in my place," she smiled as the king gave Miss Varia his thanks. And was mildly surprised as well. "Was this the king she'd heard about?" Skye thought. It didn't seem like the quiet and stoic type of person she'd heard about. He seemed quite open and quick to give praise where it was found.

Argyle closed his eyes as he got up slowly. He noticed Milli's discomfort but didn't acknowledge it. "It just wouldn't be a ball without you my lady." he said, turning his attention to the queen. "I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay at Digamma. I will be busy tomorrow but I will do my best to make time to see everyone off before they leave." The king gave a low bow to the queen before heading for the door. "Goodnight your majesty."
For the rest of the night, he worked in his office. Managing the paperwork for the kingdom, reviewing treaties and reports, and considering the new laws suggested by his council. He decided to walk around the palace before he retired to his room. He wasn't tired enough yet and sleep wasn't going to be much help to him anyway. He returned to the grand ballroom. It was now empty of tables and chairs. The decorative banisters no longer hung from the walls and the lights were all put out. Only the light from the stars and the city dimly illuminated the spacious dance room now. He walked to the center of it and looked out the great windows, contemplating the night's events.

"Goodnight, your majesty," both Milli and Queen Skye said as Argyle left. The silver haired girl gave a sigh of relief and her muscles relaxed. Skye let Milli go back to her room but the girl was able to stay temporarily in the next room over. She didn't want anything else bad happen to the queen, and this was possibly the best way to take care of Skye if in a hurry.
___________-

Milli woke up with the sunrise the next day. Surprisingly early considering how late everyone stayed up. She gave her goodbyes to Queen Skye and then headed up to her room. She quickly changed into something a little bit more logical for a lab and then headed off to work. Her thoughts were still on the events from last night, so her mind wasn't completely on her work. She found herself making small mistakes, luckily none were too bothersome.

__________-

Reaveil found the ball exciting and yet he knew he had to keep a mind on his job at hand. It wasn't everyday when you were in the enemy's courts. During the day after the ball, the man found it best to write up his report. It seemed as if everyone was still buzzing about with the mishap of Queen Skye. It was only pure luck that the new girl, Milli Varia, had been there. But it gave him ample time to hide his reports to Emperor Wren with his regular laboratory reports. He didn't expect anyone at all to find out his secret work that day. Reaveil smiled with glee as he wrote while sitting on his desk in the open labraory.

"Hey Reaviel, have you seen the specimens from batch 1159?" came a young voice. A short statured Leon walked up to the man who was busy with something. "I can't seem to find it anywhere and I need to put them in the cooler before they spoil." The young boy raked his fingers through his blue hair as he tried to look at what the man was up to. "Hey, what's that?" he asked, attempting to make out what he held in his hands.
____________________-

"It looks like Ororon's forces are back again your majesty."

Argyle snatched the report from Kraz' outstretched hand. He couldn't believe his eyes. "Kraz, are you sure this report is accurate?"

"Unfortunately, I am. Our base in Sennia has been wiped out. It seems Shani's weapon no longer works on the enemy soldiers. Also, Emperor Wren's forces have been sighted once again with King Ororon's troops." the knight calmly replied as he handed the king another paper. "The enemy is quickly encroaching on Lior's border. They could cut through that province by morning."

"Grrrr. That Wren!" growled Argyle as he read through the papers. "Send more troops to the northern provinces and get me Shani and Olivia!" The young man paced around his office after Kraz left the room. 'How could they have countered us so easily?!' he asked himself. 'Why would he aid Ororon? What are you thinking Wren?!'

[Sorry, I gotta go now  Goodnight :D]

The brown haired man, interrupted from his work, quickly tried to hide the pages he'd been writing on. "Nothing at all," Reaviel quickly said, "What was it you needed?" His tone was that of panic and impatience. In his hurry, he accidentally dropped his reports on the floor and quickly moved to gather them up.

A young female assistant passed by and made to help pick up the papers. She grabbed one that read "Special Report" which peaked her interest. "What's this, Reaviel?"

He quickly took the paper away from her, "Absolutely nothing!" The man became angry and it was obvious he was hiding something.

Leon was surprised by Reaviel's moody reaction. "Uhmm..." he began, unsure of what to say next. "Samples from batch 1159?"
He patiently waited for the man to finish gathering his scattered things. The young lab assistant would have tried to help but it was obvious his senior didn't want any. He wondered what could possibly be in those papers that would make the normally calm lab worker freak out like that. He moved his dark red eyes down to a paper Reaviel hadn't picked up yet, just to sbeak a peak. They looked like schematics for something. But for what, he couldn't tell as the brown haired man deftly scooped it up.

The brown haired man finished picking up his papers and put them back on the table. "Batch 1159?" Reaviel confirmed, "Yeah, they should be around the lower labs. I'll help you go find them." He then turned and pushed Leon towards the stairs.

Sarah, the young lady seemed to have been forgotten and once the two lab assistants were gone she looked through the papers Reaviel had been writing on. She found a few pages that made her gasp. King Argyle needed to see these right away. The assistant quickly found Professor Shani and told him what had happened.

"Hm? What about Reaviel?" Shani asked the girl. The professor had been busy mixing some odd chemicals and filling up a large vat with a strange slime mold of sorts. No doubt he would be pouring the now smoky mixtures into the large container. He couldn't make out any more than "Reaviel" and "Special Report" from what she was trying to tell him since Sarah was speaking so fast. "You might want to slow down my dear girl. I'm having a hard time keeping up." he said mirthfully, unaware of the seriousness of her news.

Meanwhile, Leon was peering through the lab doors they passed hoping to spot the container of samples he was looking for. "Are you sure it's around here sir?" he asked as he turned the corner to another long corridor.

Sarah took a deep breath and calmed down, "Shani! I think Reaviel is a spy!" She handed him the papers she took, "And this proves it!" The girl didn't exactly think about what the professor might have been doing at the time. This was important.

"Yes," the brown haired man pushed Leon along, "just a few more doors down."
Just at that time Milli had turned the corner and bumped into the two young men. "Excuse me, Oh hi Leon," said as the group gathered their senses, "I just found the samples you asked for earlier." She was carrying the box with the samples in them. Luckily none had fallen or broke when they collided. "Um, something wrong?" the girl asked, noticing Reaviel's moody behavior.

"Nothing is wrong!" the brown haired man suddenly burst out saying.

Shani's eyes scanned the papers the frantic assistant handed him. His eyebrows furrowed as he shifted the pages. The information within them was highly classified. Even Olivia's and Shani's latest unfinished works were within them as well as reports of what had been discussed during the gala. "Hmm, this is serious. Looks like we'll have to tell little Argyle about this." he said, clamping the papers together. He covered the vat filled with his test subject and glanced at the smoky chemicals, considering what to do with them. The purple haired man decided to just leave them be and walked with Sarah towards the com station. The thought of finding a spy in his lab was slightly disappointing but somehow excited him at the same time. "I can't believe Reaviel is a spy. That man has such a wonderful work ethic. Do you know where he is by the way?"
After they reached a communication panel, he pressed a button that connected him to the security office. "Hello? Yes, this is Shani. If any one is free, would you mind sending some guards down here? We believe there's been some sort of security breach. We'll be waiting."

"Hi Milli." the boy greeted with a smile after realizing it was Milli who they had bumped into. "Reaviel's just a little jumpy since Sarah may have seen the new ideas he was working on." Leon explained, guessing that it may have been the reason why he was so worried. "Thanks for finding those. I've been looking all over for them." The boy gingerly took the container from the blue eyed girl and checked the contents for any damage. "Whew. So far so good."

"Last I saw he was showing Leon where some samples were. I think he's somewhere in the lower labs," Sarah, now a little calmer after the problem was addressed. She gave a sigh of relief when the head professor had called the guards.
Soon enough the guards had arrived.

Reaviel, relieved that he didn't have to think of an excuse for himself nodded at Leon's explanation. Still somewhat furious though he said, "I suppose you have no need for me anymore? I'll be going." And he quickly turned around and headed back to his laboratory to finish writing his report. The brown haired man was still a little tense when he remembered he just left the papers on his desk, out in the open no less.

Milli looked at the young man as he left, "He seems to be a bit to upset for just that. Then again, he does get into his work a little too deep at times," she shrugged, "Need anything else Leon?"

"Nah, I'm good." he said as he turned back towards the stairs. "Wait! Actually, I need your help with something."
He quickly turned around and almost dropped the specimens he was holding. "I...messed up on some plant tests and..well..let's just say they aren't supposed to turn spotted and blue, hehe." He rubbed the back of his head with his free hand in embarrassment. Leon led Milli back up to the upper labs "I just hope they haven't wilted or untreatable otherwise I'll have to start from scratch. It'll take another day before I can perform the test agai-" The blue haired boy couldn't continue what he was about to say because the unexpected presence of guards in the lab surprised him. "Woah, what's going on?" he asked no one in particular.

[Haha, poor Reaviel  Do you want him to have escaped, gotten caught already, or fight...somehow? :)]

(Hm...How about he just get's caught. He's more of a worker anyways. :) Not too much fighting. ^^)

Milli followed Leon up to the lab and was also surprised at the sight of the guards. "Oh my," the girl gasped and went over to Shani. "Professor, what's wrong? What happened? Is there anything I could do?"

Sarah replied, a little too quickly, "Have you seen Reaviel?"

"Well, he said he was heading back to his lab. What do you need him for?" Milli looked at the two workers confused. Why were the guards here and was Reaviel in trouble?

_________-

Reaviel made it back to his lab and went back to his work in a sour mood. As he sat down on his desk and leafed through the many pages of paper, the man saw his report was gone. It was as if it had vanished. "Oh no." He was in deep trouble now. Emperor Wren would not be happy with him, in fact, no one would.

[Ok :) So who do you want catching him? Milli could show off her sword skills around here somewhere  If you want someone else to do it that would be great too ]

"Dear Reaviel may be in hot water now." replied the head researcher after he had finished addressing a guard. "Apparently he's been playing for the opponent's team." Shani walked off towards the direction of the spy's office to see if the guards would find him.

"You mean he's a spy?!" Leon asked in shock of the news. He didn't get an answer from the preoccupied professor so he turned to Sarah. "But why? He doesn't seem like a bad guy." The young lab assistant, although already a genius from a young age, still had the naivete of a boy. He never considered anybody he worked with to be bad.

Kraz waited patiently for the elevator doors to open. 'These events as of late only point to the fact that the enemy may do something soon. But what? And why only now? Emperor Wren definitely had the power to attack us before. What has he been waiting for?' These thoughts haunted the knight as he entered the darkened transport. Imagine his surprise to find the Royal Magic and Science Research Labs abuzz as guards searched the place. He approached a nearby lab worker in order to get the location of those in charge. "Excuse me. Where are Professors Olivia and Shani?"

Milli was shocked. The lab assistant didn't seem at all like a spy. He didn't sabotage the work they did in the lab. What could he have been doing that was so unpatriotic? Was he giving up secret work done in the lab? In any case, the girl decided to stay in the main laboratory. She figured her presence would make things a little more difficult for the guards to catch Reaviel.

"Olivia's in her lab, and Shani's a little busy right now," the worker answered Kraz, "There's a bit of excitement right now. So I'm not exactly sure where he may be. I can go get Olivia for you though, Sir."

The wheels in Reaviel's head were working overtime at this point. Hopefully no one had considered his papers important and he wasn't discovered as a spy just yet. The young man gathered his wits and prepared to make a run for it as he made his way to the door. Just at that moment he spied the guards coming towards him. Now he panicked and made a mad dash to the door. He was able to surprise the guards and get past them but soon they were after him.

Milli saw something dash towards the door, surprised to see it was Reaviel. It seemed as if no one could catch him just now. Just that moment it seemed as if something had changed in her aura. It was as if her mind suddenly became sharp. She raced towards the door, grabbing a wayside broom as she passed and confronted her coworker at the door. "Don't move," she held the broom, parallel to the ground by her side.

Reaviel stopped, and saw he was caught. "Alright, you got me." But as soon as the guards closed in he jumped to the side, hoping for the two opposing forces to collide. Sadly his wish did not come true, as Milli dashed after him and gave a whack at his back, and he fell to the ground. "I told you not to move," the girl said.

[AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :gonk: :headdesk: This is the second time I had to rewrite this post ]

"Please do." the knight requested. He decided to stay where he was and survey the lab while he waited for either of the lead researchers to arrive. It seemed to him that the lab workers and guards were looking for someone. Kraz decided to ask a guard nearby about the situation at hand.

"It seems you have the makings of a royal guard Ms. Varia." the purple haired professor said after witnessing Milli take down the would be escapee. Immediately, the guards who were with Shani and the guards who were already at the scene apprehended Reaviel and escorted him towards the elevators at the main part of the lab. "Well done." remarked the eccentric professor, giving the spy a look similar to when a scientist looks at a soon to be dissected creature before turning once again to the silver haired girl. "I believe you should come with me when I brief his majesty on what Reaviel may have been up to. I'm sure he would want to hear about how he got caught." he said with a cheerful smile before following the guards to the central labs where, to his surprise, Kraz was waiting.

(Aw, poor Minty. I am rather glad it wasn't me though.)

The worker soon returned with Professor Olivia close at hand. The professor looked around and saw the apparent chaos in the lab and wondered what Shani had been up to. She sighed, somewhat annoyed at the fact she might have to clean up yet another mess. Meanwhile the guard had relayed the current events in the lab to Kraz. Olivia overheard the bit about a lab assistant being a spy which perked her curiosity. But deciding to hide it away she addressed Kraz and asked what was needed of her.

Milli blushed, "It was nothing...really." She was somewhat amused at the professor's face when he looked at Reaviel. The girl hoped nothing to bad would happen to the young man, but one was never to sure of spies. Milli placed the broom back where it belonged and returned to Leon, "So you said you needed help with something?" Milli would come when Shani asked for her, although she didn't know how soon it would be.
