Ai ended up wearing a plain whtie top and skirt to match. In the corner, Sam began to stir. Ai bit her lip. "I hope he's gonna be ok... how far until we reach the village, Kaito?"
"About an hour," he replied.

Sami sighed and crawled over to Sam, "Hey Sam." She said softly, but he didnt react...

"Do you want to change your clothes?" Ai asked Kaito as she ssat down next to him. "I can drive the hovercar."
"Thanks," he said, getting up from his seat as Ai slid into it, taking the controls.

"we should probably change Sam's clothes too... they might have placed a tracker on his clothes..." Sami said, carefully taking of Sam's shirt.

"Perv! Let Kaito do it!" said Ai, rolling her eyes.

Sami sniggered, "Shut up Ai!! I'm sure Kaito doesnt want to undress a man. Or are you gay Kaito?" Sami laughed and pushed Kaito to where Sam lay, then she sat herself in the seat next to Ai.

Sami looked at the screen and read 30min. "30 minutes left guys!!" ahead of them they could see more and more trees and see some smoke rising into the sky. They were just above the river now, and Sami realised something, "Does the hovercar need metal tracks underneath or can it fly everywhere?"

"It does need metal, but it's more sensitive than hoverboards," said Ai. "There's enough metal naturally buried deep in the ground for it to be able to travel in most places."
Soon they had passed the stream and had arrived in the settlement.

Sami sighed in relief, "O good. I really dont feel like using my legs!"
Sam stirred and moaned, "gargglehijugggg..."
"uh what? Sam sorry we dont understand that..." Sami spoke softly, his mouth was still numb probably... she thought.

"Well, he'll be happy to be home, at least," said Ai. "Kaito, could you help Sami with Sam? I'll go find the Chief. Hopefully he won't be too mad at us..."

"I don't know, in the cell he said he wanted to be like us. So he could be with me... he didnt want to return to his village..." Sami spoke silently, and sighed.

"Yeah, but I don't think the Chief will take what's happened to his son kindly. Gods or not, he'll blame us," said Ai. "And... it is kind of our fault..."

"Ai its not kind of our fault, it IS our fault... ugh i don't know, why don't you and Kaito go speak to them and i'll stay with Sam?"

"OK. Keep an eye out for the Specials," said Ai, as she and Kaito climbed out of the hovercar to approach the Chief's hut.

Sam was fully awake now, but his mouth was still numb, he half managed to smile at Sami. But Sami didnt smile back, how could she smile at him...

"You have returned," said the Chief when Ai arrived. He looked in awe at Kaito. "This is another god?"
"Yes, this is my friend, Kaito," said Ai. "Um... Chief..."
"How is my son?"
"He's with us... he's not feeling that great at the moment." Ai bit her lip, unsure exactly what to say.

Confusion clouded the Chief's ugly face. "Not feeling well? What do you mean?"
"We're not sure," said Kaito apologetically.
"You can come and see him, maybe you can help," said Ai.

Sami heard shuffling outside the hovercar, she looked out the window, Kaito Ai and the Chief were making their way to the car.
"Come on, Sam. hunny... your Chief is coming." Sam tried to sit up and look alright but it was no use... it was like they had drained him.

The Chief stepped tentatively into the hovercar and looked at his son. "What happened?" he asked. Ai couldn't meet his eyes.

Sami had thought about how to explain this to the Chief, "Sir, we are very sorry. God-hunters... caught us and violated Sam, we were able to rescue him but they had already injected something into him, we are at loss of what to do. We thought your supreme nature remedies might be off help to him."

If the Chief was angry, his concern for hsi son was stronger. "Help me bring him to the Healers' Tent," he said in a faint voice.

Sami and Kaito lifted Sam to the tent, in a way Sami was pleased about the Chief's reaction... but maybe he'll get very angry later.
The ten was small and cozy... it had a bed-ish thing in the middle and two tables full of herby stuff. Sami crinkled her nose, it smelled really off and weird. She didnt really like it. but she wanted to stay with Sam.

The healer was a very very old ugly woman. She had no medspray or other tools, just clay jars of herbs.
"I will get to work," she said. "You, girl." She pointed at Ai. "Get me some water from the stream."
Ai was only too happy to leave the tent.

Sami held Sam's hand but another old lady told her off and told her to wait outside, "bad crowd not good." she snorted at Sami in bad english. She stood outside next to Kaito.

Ai came back with some water from the stream and the old lady shooed her out of the tent. She bit her lip as she joined Kaito and Sami. "I hope he'll be all right..."
