Sami felt fuzzy inside, it must be the drugs she thought. She tried really hard to open her eyes but couldn't so contented herself with just listening. She could hear Kaito and Ai a little further away... then a groan from a strangely familiar voice but yet so perfect.. it couldn't be? could it?!
"SAM!" Without realizing it she jolted up in her bed and screamed his name..

Ai and Kaito both jumped in surprise as Sami practically jumped up. The shock only lasted a minute before Ai was by her side, hugging her friend.
"Sami, you're OK!!!"

"Ai... where's SAm... o god what happened to him? is he... is he dead?" she stifled a cry and grabbed Ai by the arms... "Tell MEEEEEEEEE!!!" she was a little too hysterical and the nurses came rushing in.
"Whats all this about?" one asked,

"Sam's fine, just a bit different, see for yourself!" said Ai, gesturing to Sam. Sam was waking up, blinking sleepily, and gettign used to his new muscles and eyesight.
The nurses all gathered round both beds, and pushed Ai out of the way.

"Go away stupid bitches! let me see Sam!" this language Sami hadnt used in a loooong time she wanted to take her words back but it was too late the nurses had already strapped her down and were shining little lights in her eyes and waving their hands in her face then holding up fingers and asking how many there are.
"ARGH!! I am fine. Nothing is wrong with me i just need to see Sam." she was being faaar to hysterical about it which wasnt helping her to get to Sam so she looked at Ai and just lay there ...

"Hey hey, they're both OK," said Ai to all the doctors and nurses. "Be more bubbly! They might be brain-missing for a while until they wake up properly but they're both FINE."
After a few seconds the staff all began to slowly withdraw, and Sam was once more visible.

Sami smiled thankfully at Ai and was very glad her brain had decided to calm down at the same time.
"Sam ok?" she asked Ai, the nurses must have injected her with something cause she was feeling unnaturally calm and featherlight...

"Ask him yourself," Ai smiled.
Sam was opening and closing his eyes, probably getting used to the unfamiliarly perfect sight of Pretty eyes.

Sami nodded lightly, sat up, grabbed for Ai before she tumbled off the bed and with Ai's help walked over to Sam. She gasped, he looked so... pretty... pretties are pretties... but they sure did a great job of Sam, she smiled at him, "Hey.. how are you feeling?"
He coughed, testing his new voice, "Im alright... changed? i think... you look great" he said his cheeks going a pinkier colour, not the bright red blush he would've had had his still been ugly.

Feeling slightly awkward, Ai helped Sami sit on the bed next to Sam, grabbed Kaito by the arm and left the room.

Sami smiled at Ai thankfully, she needed some time with Sam. Some alone time.
His hand reached for hers and stayed on hers. "Sami... what happened to me back there? I feel... strange..." he tried to smile to hide the sad frown on his beautiful pretty face. Sami just wanted to lie down with him and stay there, but she forced herself to smile and focus. After all, he deserves to know the truth right?
"Well... something bad happened i think... we were both fataly wounded and well Ai and Kaito stole a hovercar to get us to the nearest city so that we could ge the opp and live and now you're a pretty and im prettier as this i my second opp but now we're alive and you're ok." she breathed in deeply and exhaled, she had said that far too quickly and wondered if he had understood any of it. He looked at her bewildered.
"Huh? so where are we now?"
"The hospital, in the recovery room, in a city that is unknown to us and that dont know us. "
"So are you saying... that we're lost and hiding?" his frown deepened and he retreated his hand, Sami felt like crying. Why was he angry? The opp had saved his life he should be grateful!

Kaito and Ai slumped into the seats outside.
"What now?" he asked.
Ai shrugged. "I don't know. The Specials might or might not find us here... in any case maybe we should stay here a while. And maybe get some surge so we look slightly different."

"I'll let you think about it, i don't like it when your angry." She got up and went to her bed, she opened the wardrobe and found a nice red outfit, not what she would normally wear but she assumed that it was better to look different. She got a pair of scissors and cut of some of her hair, it went wild and a little rough. Just like she wanted. She made up the bed and walked to Ai and Kaito barefooted.
"Do either of you know where i could find some decent red shoes ?"

"Any Hole in the Wall would do," said Kaito.
"While we're here, though," said Ai. "I'm getting minor surge. Just going to change my hair and eyes a bit... that way I'm less likely to be recognised."
"Same here," said Kaito.

"Ok you guys go do that ill go find a hole in the a wall." Sami smiled and walked with them for a bit then turned left to the changing rooms, surely there would a be a hole right? She got there and indeed there as a hole... which wouldnt operate because she didnt have a ring... great.
Some nurse was taking a shower and had left her trainers out so Sami grabbed those and ran back to the ward where Sam lay.

Kaito and Ai wereadmitted into the operating rooms and each selected what they wanted done. Ai was having her green hair cut shorter, and she was also getting rid of her fringe. Her eyes were to be turned a paler, more silvery colour.
Kaito had his hair turned dark, dark blue, and his purple eyes turned black.
The operations were minor so they were over in about 10 minutes.

She sat in a chair next to Sam's bed and waited for Ai and Kaito's opp to finish.

Ai and Kaito stepped out of the room, feeling like whole new people, and got new clothes from a Hole in the Wall. They went back to the ward to rejoin Sam and Sami.
"Hey - you two OK?"

Sami smiled, "Ye sure, apart from the fact that Sam is angry at us that we saved his life."

"He's angry?" Ai bit her lip. "The doctors say that the operation was the only way to save him..."

"Yup i know that, and now he won't talk to me... but i think that without pretties eyes he would prob be crying right now... i think he's sad... but i cant get through to him." Sami sighed and looked at Sam

"Well, I don't know what we can do," Ai sighed and sat down. "Maybe we should get him out of the hospital? He might be happier in an apartment."

"Ye that's what i was thinking, i had a look on this feed-i-pad that i found to see what appartments are free... and i think it'd be best if we go to one thats cheap and highly unnoticable, like this one" Sami moved over to Ai so she could see the appartment, it was a simple 2 bedroomed appartment, kitchennette, bathroom and small sitting room with one wall hole. "Its cheap and its on the outskirts of the city..." sami looked from Ai to Kaito and back, she bit her lip " What dju think?"

Ai nodded. "Sounds good. We can recover there... and try and get Sam used to Pretty life." She bit her lip. This wouldn't be easy. But Sam would have to learn to cope with their society, because there was no way he could go back home now. Besides, he was a Pretty now. He needed to learn how to live like one.

"Good cause i already bought it." Sami grinned foolishly and grabbed Sam by the hand pulling him out of bed, "Come on weirdo,"
"Really honestly why did you freaks have to do that?!"
Sami spun round and smacked him in the face, he barely flinched with his pretty tough skin but it would've hurt like a bitch if it was his ugly skin. But she could still see the look of horror and shock in his eyes, prettie's eyes were well known to be very expressive... she almost ... ALMOST regretted it,
"Don't dare call us the freaks, you were the freak first!"
