Our story:
Inuyasha had a childhood friend name Kaida, who was believe to be dead when she was swept away by a tornado. They reunite...And the story begins. I'll start - - - It was a hot day in Feudal Era Japan. The sun was out with barely any clouds in the sky. Tree's provided a cool shade from the boiling sun, this is where Inuyasha was resting. He sat on the low branch of the tree, looking at the small river that flowed near by. It glistened with the sun as the waves crashed against the rocks. It was so soothing to look at, and he wondered if it felt good as well. As a half dog demon, Inuyasha didn't like water very much. He only dealt with it when he needed to or was willing too. Wearing the red Kendo styled Kimono on this day was not a wise decision, but it was the only thing he would wear. After a though, Inuyasha jumped down the branch he was one and walked over to the river's edge. He peered over the water, staring back at his reflection. After he figured that the water was clean, he put his feet in the water, letting the water run past his blockade, his ankles, rushing past and onward, continuing the never ending cycle it is meant to repeat. The cool water brushing against his skin cooled down his entire body. He sighed, putting his hands behind his head. "This is so relaxing..." He said to himself. |
Kaida stepped into the warmth of the golden sun. She smiled when she came acroos a river, and she happily walked in, her ears perked up. Even though she was half-dog demon, against her better nature, she loved the water. The young half-demon blinked as her sky blue hair gently swayed in the wind, as she picked up a familiar scent.. "I-Inuyasha?" she stammered, and a warm smile came across her face, as her pearl dog ears tried to find Inuyasha's voice. She listened carefully, but heard a much older Inuyasha..... She frowned, and tried to scan the river for the familiar red kimono that she knew so well. She gasped when she saw him up the river, and she jumped for joy, diving in the river and swimming in front of him, her ears peeking out of the water.

Inuyasha's mind was free for a moment as he stood in the river. His feet became a little cold, but not cold enough to withdrawl himself from the river. His ears twitched, sensing a nearby sound. Who's there? Inuyasha thought. He turned around, looking at his surroundings, only to see someone or something swimming towards him. He just stood there and stared at the site with a blank stare.

Kaida swam over so she was about a foot away from Inuyasha. She smiled, then surfaced from the water. "Hi!" she said happily, smiling at Inuyasha. "Are you Inuyasha...?" she asked curiously, her ears twitching a little.

Inuyasha blinked, and he became startled when Kaida jumped out of the water. Now he was confused. "Who are you?" He asked. "And yes. I am Inuyasha." He added with a defensive tone.

Kaida looked hurt. "Don't you remember me?" she asked, tears forming in her eyes. "I'm Kaida...." She frowned, and partially turned so Inuyasha wouldn't see her tears. "We used to play together when we were little...."

Inuyasha took a minute to think. The name sounded familiar, but from where? Childhood friends... He though, looking up to the sky, thinking. He didn't have many friends as a child because he was a half demon dog, so how could he forget? "Kaida...." Inuyasha muttered. "I know that name!" He added with a surprise. "But I don't know where~" He finished.

Kaida blinked. "I was swept up by a tornado, remember?" she said, looking up at him. She was so happy to have found Inuyasha!! After all these years....

What Kaida said completely struck Inuyasha. "Heyyy..." He said, pointing to her. "Its you! The friend I thought died long ago!" He added, very suprised. He stepped closed to her, happy to see his friend was alive. "Where have you been this whole time?" He asked. |

Also: *dies laughing at Inuyasha's reaction*) Kaida smiled. "Looking for you!" she said with a grin, so happy that she could FAINT!!! ooc: Is it OK if I play Kagome? O3O |

Inuyasha smiled, slightly. "Have you really?" He asked. "I'd thought you'd move on or something. Isn't that what most people do when they get swept away and disappear for years?" He asked. Inuyasha wasn't the type to understand certain things, and he didn't really think someone would come searching for him for so long after such an event. |
Kaida smiled. "If you've forgotten, I'm as stubborn as a mule, remember?" she said with a laugh. It was true. Kaida was stubborn, and once she set her mind on something, nothing could convince her to stop until it was done.
Kagome blinked. "What's that demon doing with Inuyasha?" she thought. She fumbled for her bow and arrow, and strung the first arrow she could get her hands on. "HEY!!! Get away from him!" she yelled, aiming the arrow at Kaida. Kaida looked up, and she yelped when she saw that the arrow was aimed at her heart. "I-Inuyasha, I'll talk to you later," she stammered, and she lept up into a tree, leaping from tree to tree as fast as she could. Kagome sighed, and put the arrow back, running to Inuyasha. "Inuyasha, are you OK?" she asked, looking up at him. |
Inuyasha jumped a Kagome, angry. "What the hell was that for, Kagome?" He yelled. "That demon was my childhood friend!" He added, looking up into the tree Kaida jumped too. "Kaida...You don't have to be afraid. That's just an airheaded human." Inuyasha said, putting his hands into his sleeves.

Kagome blinked. "AIRHEADED???" she yelled, looking ticked off.
Kaida sighed, and jumped back down. "Inuyasha...." She sighed, and laughed a little. "She doesn't seem like an airehead to me!" She then turned to Kagome. "Hello.... I'm Kaida," she said with a smile. Kag me blinked. "I'm Kagome," she said, startled by how friendly Kaida was after she almost shot her with an arrow. Kaida smiled. "Hi Kagome! Don't worry about me, I don't hold grudges," she said with a laugh. Kagome laughed too. "At least you're nicer than him!" she said. Kaida blinked, and she giggled. "Don't worry, I'm used to him. Well, I used to be... I was swept up by a tornado when I was 7..... Inuyasha and I used to play toghether when we were kids.." she said, smiling. |
Inuyasha watched the two talk to each other. He was some-what surprised that they got along so quickly. He continued to watch them, listening to their conversation. His ear's perked when he heard Kaida say his name, gaining his attention. "...And that was years ago." Inuyasha interrupted.

Kaida nodded. "Yeah, it was.." She sighed, and looked over at Inuyasha. "So when did you and Kagome meet?" she asked, grinning.

"We actually met a long time ago." Inuyasha replied. "We met twice, actually." He added with a smirk. "She is actually the reincarnation of Kikyo." He finished, waiting for Kaida's reaction.

Kaida blinked. "Kikyo?" she said, looking at Kagome. "Now that I think about it, she DOES look a lot like her, doesn't she?" she said, smiling. "And that does explain how she was about to hit my heart," she added, laughing a little.

Inuyasha nodded his head in agreement. "Even her incarnation has a bad habit of attacking the foe's heart..." He replied, thinking back to when he was pinned to a tree. That was a long time ago, back when he first met Kagome, thinking that she was Kikyo. "Bad habits never change over time..." Inuyasha added with a laugh.

Kaida smiled. "And I bet you still have that habit of hiding your hands when you're nervous!" she said with a laugh.
Kagome laughed too. "He does hide his hands, but I don't think it's because he's nervous, Kaida," Kagome replied, grinning. |
Inuyasha turned his head away from Kaida. So what if he hid his hands? "Ever wonder that my hands could possibly cold?" He asked in his normal defence tone. He was some-what glad that Kagome defended him, but not enough to change his little anger fit.

Kaida blinked. "Ah, who am I kidding? My ears start twitching like crazy when I'm upset, nervous, AND hyper," she said, laughing a little. Obviously she WAS hyper because her ears were twitching all over, like they were vibrating!
Kagome laughed a little, happy to meet a half-demon that wouldn't call her "stupid" every 4 seconds.... like when she and Inuyasha first met. ooc: I read that in my Inuyasha manga. xDDD *is a manga addict* (Inu wouldn't call Kagome by her name when they first me. Instead, he would call her "stupid". LOL) |

Inuyasha smirked. "You haven't changed at all, Kaida." He replied. He looked over to Kagome, she seemed to be handling the situation quiet well, but he still kept some of his guard of him in case her attitude changed. He wasn't ready to loose a childhood friend so quickly. |
Kaida grinned. "Nope, probably not!" she said, laughing a little.
Kagome laughed too, as if Kaida's enthusiasm was contagious. |
"So, other than looking for me, what else have you been doing lately?" Inuyasha asked, getting the conversation going again. For him, he and Kagome were looking for the Jewel shards, but he didn't feel comfortable to telling Kaida just yet. Who knows? Maybe she's working for Naraku. So, he began thinking of an excuse of what he's been doing. Goofing off? Traveling? So many options.
