Rose nipped Fang in his ear "you're it now"
She smiled at him then licking his nose "yeah,it does"

Rafe licked her nose in return. "Now look where we are."

"hey,were not that old,at least i'm not"She said smiling

Fang chased Rose around in a circle until they both got dizzy and fell down.
"Rafe,Xena, you are both welcome to stay at our den until your wounds heal" said Dresdus.

"mommy can we stay?"Rose asked
"I don't know it's Rafe's decision"Xena said calmly even though the pain in her leg had increased.

Fang ran up to Rose. "I hope you stay, I like you."

"It's fun here"Rose said smiling

Fang jumped on Rose's back, playfuly nipping at her ears and smacking her with his paws.

Rafe looked at the cubs playing and at Xena's wound. "We'll stay for a while. There's no need to hurry. Our clan will be fine." Rafe settled in further and rested against Xena. "Thanks Dresdus."

"yay"Rose said as she was trying to hit fang
"at least i don't have to move yet"Xena whispered to herself

"That's great to hear." Dresdus looked over at Rose and Fang. "It looks like our pups are getting along."
"I'm glad you get to stay" Fang wrapped his paws around Rose and tackled her to the ground.

"It sure seems that way." Rafe said smiling at the cubs. He then turned to Xena. "Are alright?" He whispered concerned. She'd been acting a little quiet lately.

Dresdus smiled at the two pups, but at the same time, noticed something off about Xena. She hadn't moved much since coming to the den.

"I'm fine"She whispered back and gave a suppressed smile

Rafe licked her nose. "Alright but if you're hurt you know you can tell me."

"but I don't want to worry you or Rose"Xena smile

Frost watched in silence as she pondered on things that ran through her mind at the time.

"It would worry me more if you sat there and suffered in silence." Rafe said with concern.

Dresdus got up and sniffed Xena's back leg. "I sense that your leg is broken, and that you have a fever. I know of an herb that can cure you. I will go get it, wait here." Dresdus headed out of the den.

"Thank you Dresdus.I know but if you become the alpha you'll have other things to worry about"She replied

Dresdus went out and found the herb. he brought the leaves back to the den. "Xena, eat these leaves, and you should be better in the morning."
Fang walked over and sniffed Xena. "You don't have the same scent as Rose, does that mean your not her mom?"

"ok"she said as she ate the leaves.They left a disgusting taste in her mouth."yes"she replied to fang

"Thanks again Dresdus." Rafe licked Xena's ears once she'd eaten the herb. "Don't think like that Xena. Whether I'm the alpha or not I'll always have worry about you."

"I know but I wouldn't want to distract you"she replied

Fang went over to Rose. "If Xena isn't your mom, then why do you call her mom?"
Dresdus went over to Fang. "Fang, mind your own buisness."
