Xena sighed.They probably went to confront the moon pack she thought.She knew there was nothing she could do.Plus since the moon packs territory wasn't that far away they would have got their already.

"Night pack being attacked isn't our fault" Roxas said. "They are weak, probably let their guard down."
Dresdus grew angry. "Your arrogance has upset the natural order. We are here to make things right."

Rafe growled at Roxas' words. It took all his will power to not pounce on him. "I'll show you how weak we are when I chew through your throat." He bared his fangs and got into an aggressive pose.

Dresdus stood by Rafe's side. "Roxas is yours, but Xandri is mine. She and I have a score to settle."

"Got it. That's fine by me." Rafe said eyeing Roxas. The other wolf having also gotten into an aggressive posture.

Dresdus and Xandri stared each other down. Both Waiting for the other to make the first move.

Rafe and Roxas started circling each other loking for an opening to pounce.

Dresdus and Xandri had a staredown, then they both pounced at the same time, collideing in mid-air. They began clawing and biteing each other, tearing into one another's flesh.

Roxas struck first pouncing on top of Rafe. Rafe defended himself by trying to bite into Roxas' neck. He failed at that but did manage to flip them over so he was now on top.

Dresdus and Xandri continued to brawl. Xandri went for Dresdus's leg, But he moved out of the way and bit off her ear.

Rafe once again went for Roxas' neck but again Roxas manage to evade. Roxas bit into Rafe's leg and flipped him away from him. Rafe quickly got back to his feet and charged again.

Dresdus and Xandri charged each other again. Dresdus bit down on Xandri's neck, and broke it with all his strengh. He stood over her fallen body and let out a howl of victory.

The two younger wolves heard the howl and Roxas became enraged for his fallen mother. He charged at Rafe full force and the two collided. Rafe finally got a hold of Roxas' neck as the other bit down on the top of his head. The two stayed tangled like that until Roxas finally went limp and still from lack of air.

After the fight, Dresdus approached Rafe. "Are you alright? You fought valiantly."
Fang approached his mom, Frost. "Mom, when is dad coming back?"

Rafe nodded. "Thanks. I'm fine. It's nothing that won't heal." He limped a little as he approached.

"Here, let me help you back." Dresdus held up Rafe as they made their way back to the den.
Fang saw his dad and Rafe arrive at the opening of the den. The young pup ran up to Dresdus. "Dad! I'm so glad your home! What happend?"

"Thanks Dresdus." Rafe said as he was helped back. Once at the den he slumped down next to Xena totally exhausted.

Dresdus licked Fang between the ears. "We just had some buisness to take care of. Did you behave youself?"
Fang wagged his tail."Yes I did dad. I protected Snow and Rse just like you said."

Xena looked at Rafe "ware you alright?"she asked

Dresdus wen over to Frost, as Fang went over to Rose. "Our dad's are hero's. hope to grow up to be just like mine."

Rafe licked Xena's muzzle. "I'm fine. Nothing you and a little rest won't cure."

Dresdus looked over at Rafe and Xena. "You fought well today Rafe. Hopefully, this will re-establish us as the rulers of the forest."
Fang playfuly licked Rose. "Does this mean your going to leave?"

Rafe nodded at Dresdus. "I hope it does. I don't want his death to have been for nothing."

"I don't know"Rose said
"whose death?"Xena asked

"Rafe and I went out and eliminated moon pack. Their Fooling around with the humans upset the order of the forest. It had to be done."
