Robin pouted up at him. Why did he had to go tell her she really didn't like surprises much. 'wait..when did he have the time?' Taking a seat at the front of the boat she looked out into the river that would soon become the sea. It had been a least half a year since she had been home, she was just bursting at the seems with excitement. She was also filled with doubt, though she knew that it was an 905 chance Ryley knew what had happened to Kory and how to teach him control she wasn't even that sure he would help the boy. Ryley didn't like getting involved with things that involved the infected. She had been a special case and even then all he did was give her a place to live and work.

Kory sat beside her, and looked out as well for a bit, then he looked at her. "Here.." he said offering her the silver wrapped box. "I got it for you, and i know you will like it.." he said with a smile, knowing that he could make her wait the whole time, he wasn't that mean, especially to a girl that he liked.

Robin gave a little squeal of joy as she opened the box. Looking inside she gaped as she saw the dress she had tried on at the store. She covered her mouth and stared up at him with wide happy eyes. " Thank you." she threw she arms around his neck and hugged him tight. Suddenly remembering that they were ' brother and sister.' she removed her arms. " oh you are the best brother in the world." she called out giving him a little wink.

"you know i try.." he said smiling back at her. He was glad she did like it. It showed that he was looking out for her, and he knew she wanted it but didn't have the money for it at the time, and he didn't think that she would miss him running back in there anyway. He turned and was looking out over the water once again. It was a great sight, one of the best he was ever seen.

He was being so nice, 'I'll make Ryley help him even if I have to melt off his arm.' she swore. Counting the days out on her fingers she figured that the boat would take them half way before dumping then off on the coast.most boats didn't risk going out in to the ocean, they stuck to large lakes and rivers. She knew that there was one boat that would make trips to the islands off the coast.It only sailed out once a month though. If she was right they would just make it in time, if the weather stayed good.

Kory rubbed his eyes, he was starting to get tired, even though it wasn't too far into the day, but there was nothing that they could really do now anyway. He looked at her, and smiled again. "you know sis...I am still glad that you found me again.. i would have missed being with you.." he added hoping she got what he was getting at.

Patting his hand lightly she made sure none of the others on the boat were watching them and lend in to whisper in his ear, " I'm glad too.' she nervously gave him a small kiss on the cheek, " thank you for the dress." She got up to ask one of the men where they would be sleeping.

He turned toward the front of the boat once she had gotten up, so he could hide the deep blush that she had placed on his face. He was kinda re-leaved that she might be feeling the same way as he was toward her. He smiled at nothing, and waited for her to come back.

They were once again staying in the same room, this time though there were two cots. no one saw the problem with a brother and sister sharing a room, but not a bed. it made her feel a little more comfortable. ' I shouldn't have kissed him.' she reprimanded her self. It had been impulse. She was currently sitting with some of the crew while they tried to wow her with stories of their travels. She had somehow been roped into listening. Robin wasn't she she could handle facing Kory at the moment anyway. " so, little miss where are you and your bro heading to?" one of the boy's he looked a little older then Kory but not by much, asked. "Island 6." no one had bothered to name the chunks of floating land.

He could tell something was wrong, just by how she glanced at him every once in a while. 'what did i do now?' he thought to him self. Sitting on the bench, he curled his legs up and wrapped his arms around them. Looking out he just thought, and let the breeze hit his face as the boat moved.

Robin sent another look over in Kory's direction and blushed. She really shouldn't have kissed him. He had enough on his mind already with out her adding to it. One of the boy's - the one who had asked here where they were going- slung his arm around her shoulder. "So what's eating your big bro?" She leaned as far from his as she could. " I don't know." She had an idea though. She was really stupid sometimes.

He knew he was the problem, and she assured him that she was glad that they have had met. But he was just thinking that it might only get worse if he kept getting close to her like that, but he couldn't get her out of his thoughts. Many things were passing through, but she was the main thing that was keeping him together, without her he don't know what he would do now.

She knew she needed to get away from the boy, he was invaded her bubble and if she got to irritated at him her temperature would start to go up. They did not need to get caught now. Casting a glance over at Kory she mentally apologized. " hey Kory, come over here and listen to some of the things these guys have seen." She sent him a pleading looking begging him with her green eyes to come and save her.

He sighed and got up walking over to the group of people and stood there, not beside her but on the other side of the main guy talking. He didn't say much but looked from the guy to her, then back again. He knew what she wanted him there for, and he understood that but he still thought she was upset at him about something, so he really didn't talk at all, he just listened.

yep, he was mad at her, his silence was an answer enough for her. Robin fought back the depressed look on her face. She would just play it off, act as if it was just a gesture nothing behind it. She didn't want to ruin the friendship they had built. Standing up she smiled boy at the sailor then at Kory. "I think I want to check out the room, see you at dinner." She turned and walked away a frown on her face.

He stood there listening to the guys story, and he politely excused himself, and walked down to the room as well, knocking before walking in. "Sorry if i did anything wrong.." he said looking at her, he was slightly hurt inside, but he still wanted her to know he cared, and wasn't mad at her at all. "That guy just never shuts up.." he added and sat on one of the cots. "There anything i can do to make it up to you?" He asked wanting things back the way they were, because things went bad after the little kiss, but he liked it.

Robin laid on the cot farthest from the door. She placed a huge smile on her face and laughed at his joke about the guy. "Yep he sure wanted to sound impressive. Bet he would have wet himself if you turned your arm into a sword." He wanted to make up for what he did... he hadn't down anything she had been the one to cross the line. " what are you talking about sill, you didn't do anything."

"well after the kiss on the cheek, you acted differently, and I thought i was the problem.. If the kiss was the problem I thank you, Because with out you i don't think i would have made it this far. Let alone still be alive. The more i am with you I like you more and more, in my case its a good thing...you are the best thing that has ever happened to me and i dont know what would happen if things were not what they were now.." he said not meaning to spill what his heart was feeling, but she better know. He liked being around her and if getting attached is what was happening, he kinda liked it.

She didn't move, she barely let herself breath. ' did he just...' Did he mean that he wasn't mad about the kiss? She was starting to let herself hope. ' he's being nice.' the voice in her mind cooed at her. He had been nothing but nice since they met . What if he say that it upset her and was trying to make her happy again. " don't...worry about it. It was..." She paused trying to find the right word, " just a thank you." She shut her eyes trying to hide the lie.

He didn't know how to do this of what she would think as well, but he was really meaning it and to him there was only one way. He got up and walked over by her and sat beside her. "I really mean it... not to just make you happy, well i would hope it would make you happy, but that's not the reason..." he said babbling and gaining the enough guts to do what came next. He lent over and kissed her forehead. "I mean every word.. and i think i am more less falling for you.." he added letting this thoughts travel out in his words.

Her eyes shot open at the feel of his lips on her forehead. She stared at him unblinking a look of shock on her face. She was trying to find words, she was sure she needed to say something after that. But she was speechless. Words weren't even forming in her mind. Was she happy, yeah, was she scared, She would rather be surrounded by hunters. at least then she would know how to react. "Tha...thank...you?" She mentally slammed her head against the wall. ' That's the best you can do!' she wanted to disown her self.

"welcome.." He said and got back up walking back to his cot, and laid back down. He was glad he had poured out his heart to her. He didn't know how she would react besides the thanks, he figured she didn't expect it at all, and he threw her off guard. He was staring up at the ceiling not sure what was next, and he drew a blank besides still waning to be beside her.

Robin stayed there on the cot staring blackly up at the ceiling for she didn't know how long. She was to busy trying to sort out her thought to care about the passage of time. At first she had just wanted a hole to open up and swallow her, then she had even considered making that hole herself- but thought better of it since then the boat would sink. Now she wasn't sure what she wanted. Turning her head to face him she studied him, then went back to looking at the ceiling. " I, I like you too, a little I guess." She had never liked anyone before but from what she ha picked up from drunks at the bar you wanted to be around them, and you wanted them to be happy, but you also wanted them to have the same feelings you had. HSe had all of those things for Kory.

He looked up staring at the ceiling for a while, and looked at her when she spoke. "well a little is better than none.." he said ans turned to look back up. After a bit he drifted off to sleep. He just hoped that him speaking out like that didn't hurt any if very little chance of ever getting to be with her. He would be much happier that way, but yet he didn't want to push her, so he would back off and see what happens from there.

She had a inkling suspicion that that wasn't what he thought he was going to hear. that was the best she could do to understand her feeling right now. Sitting up she decided that she needed a walk. Walking over to the door she mumbled a goodbye then headed out for the top deck. The sky was getting darker and if you looked to the horizon it looked like the sky was burning with oranges and pinks. She gave a depressed sigh till she heard music coming for m the other side of the boat.
