Mjrn laughed as she realized just how silly she was being. "Well, yes he just really scared me," she answered quietly. Her amber eyes looked back up into him slightly embarrassed. "Don't fish eat butterflies?" She asked softly as she looked up at him. So it was pretty normal for him to bite her if she was correct. Just she was sure that the fish would only about eat her hand and be done with her.

Raven had gotten his chuckling under control although a light smile remained. "It's quite understandable. After all I doubt you were expecting a fish to take such actions upon your fingers" he said gently nodding his head slightly, trying to help ease her embarrassment. Then at her question he again nodded gently. "Yes I believe a fish would probably try and eat a butterfly if they were hungry enough. However I'm not sure just how willing a fish would be to eat such a beautiful creature" he replied after a moment, again not sure if he was really talking about butterflies or Mjrn. Then again the fairyfly he felt was more beautiful then the prettiest butterfly easily.

Cora woke up in the shapeshifters arms. It was nice to actually wake up like that again. Then she saw something, something she didnt like. There was another slave owner walking around the area. The woman was wearing heels which clicked and clacked on the floor. Without realizing it, Cora began to shudder in her cage. The only thing was that she was glaring at her. Glaring at her as if to say dont choose me or ill rebel. At least close to that.

Lana saw a girl. A girl who looked mad, like she didn't like her or something looking in her direction.She stepped up to the girl.. "Cora", a nameplate on the cage read. She looked at the girl. She put a hand between the bars out to the girl. It was white and pale. And cold.. the hands of a killer. But sharp and pretty that of royalness. "Hi.. Cora", she said quietly. Lana seemed extremely attached to this slave for some reason she didn't know.

Cora glanced at the guy who was asleep in the cage next to her, then back to the woman who had walked up to her cage. There was some tension in her movements as she got closer to the woman. Hatred still in her eyes for any master she ever laid eyes on. The only thing was that this one was being sort of polite. Why would she spit in her face right now? Maybe that was because she might actually be breaking. SHe walked over and took the womans hand.

Lana smiled as she took her hand, "Will you come with me?", she asked Cora. She had a sincere look to her. Though her skin was cold to the touch it was gentle. Lana frowned , the girl was so quiet., "I promise I wont hurt you... I just need some assistance..", She wouldn't say what. royal matters were to be kept within royal grounds. Muchless she didn't want the media gathering hold of the current state of the 2 elders of the icelands.
Lana needed someone she could trust. But could she trust a slave with her parents? Would Cora run off and betray her? Or would she stay and help. Surely Lana had no bad intentions.Cora would be free to do as she wished. Well all except run off. |
Cora listened to the sincere woman. Hopefully nothing would happen with what was going on. She could feel herself breaking. Not in the usual way but breaking because of the kindness the woman was showing. She looked around at the bars and then back at the woman. The guards walked over to the bars and walked inside. She backed off to get away from them but they caught her easily to put the usual chains on her in order to be viewed by a master that was there. They walked her out of the cage and handed the chains to the woman. It was strange that they hadnt beaten her before putting the chains on but she wasnt going to protest.
With sincere eyes the girl looked at the master they had just given the chains to. Assistance the woman had said. Assistance with what? "I guess I dont have a choice." She said with a slight attitude that she couldnt change due to her attitude towards all masters. Hopefully the woman wouldnt take offense. |
Lana smiled at the girl though it wasn't as bright as before. The addittde of the girl seemed it needed work. She frowned. She spoke to the guard next to her pulling out icy blue bills from her pocket, "Its equal in amount to your currency. If you need more just call me and i'll have it wired to you.", she mumbled rather quietly.
Lana headed for the door with the Chains to cora in her hands., "I'll take these off for you once we get home. Are you used to interdemensional travel?", she asked Cora as they walked to the exit of the slave market. |
Mjrn giggled and nodded. "Then again, I guess I should have thought that, the fish could possibly bite me," she answered with a soft laugh. She looked up at him again and was unsure if he was referring to her or just butterflies in generally. After a little thought she assumed it was about butterflies. "I don't think butterflies would taste very good. I mean icky, they're wings are all powdery and stuff," she answered lightly laughing.

Cora watched as the woman payed in some icy bills or something like that. She watched in silence as the woman talked to the big bulky guy that she so wanted to have the pleasure of kicking in the butt. She restrained herself though. As much as possible. Instead of letting the woman drag her out the door, she just went willingly.
Thats when the woman asked about interdimensional travel. Cora had never even heard of the concept. The only thing she knew about it was that she wouldnt be able to see her family ever again if they did it. "No, ma'am." This time she was trying to be polite about it, but the anger or depression in her face wasnt leaving. In order to try to hide it, she looked down and away from the woman. |
(Just so it's known I may not be on starting tomorrow until June 5th, as I'm going to Arkansas and I'm not sure if I'll have internet access or not. If I do then I'll try to be on as much as possible, but if not I'll try to find a place that does. :sweat:)
Raven again gently chuckled. "Well at least it seems the fish didn't have teeth. Or at least it doesn't seem like it did" he said softly. As Mjrn had mentioned that she didn't believe that butterflies would taste very good due to the powder on their wings. He thought about it for a moment before shrugging. "I'm guessing maybe fish like the taste of the powder. Then again I don't really know, I haven't ever eaten one myself, not that I really intend on ever eating one" he said using his free hand to rub the back of his head. |
"Ah then you are in for a treat. Sort of.", she smiled turning to Cora. she pulled the girl closely to her and snow started to swirl around the two. within moments the two were floating through what seemed like time. Only they weren't. The were transporting at Antartica. the coldest place on the planet.
They arrived on the inside of a big entrance hall to what seemed like an ice castle of sorts. It was clean and finely decorated from wall to wall. In the halls were blood red carpets with royal gold trims. "Welcome to your new home Cora", she said gently taking the chains and cuffs off the girl. "There's a bathroom down the hall if you'd like to get cleaned up. I have some clothes in a guest room. they don't fit me but they may fit you.", she said,. Afterall Lana was a tad bit petite. So the clothes must've been too big for her to wear. |
Cora looked around as everything got cold and there was snow falling from the sky. The snow was swirling around them as if the cross winds had caught the flakes off guard. She felt cold and wanted to leave using her shadows but then the girl just led her towards a huge icy castle.
When they walked inside, she saw that the castle was very nicely decorated. The decoration was clean and fine from wall to wall. The floors were covered with blood red carpets with gold trim for royalty in the hallways. The woman spoke to her again as she took the chains off of her. For a half second she wanted to run, but run where? She was in the middle of nowhere in an ice planet or something. The woman started to speak again of getting cleaned up in the bathroom down the hall and that there were some clothes in a guest room that they had. She decided that she would stay for a little while and maybe use her shadow transport to leave another time. Maybe she could get use to this place but for now she still felt like a slave and that wasnt what she wanted. ((Haha you just called her fat... lol jk jk)) |
Lana frowned at Cora. Rather perplexed by the fact she was so quiet, "You don't talk much do you?", she asked leading the girl to a pretty and huge bathroom. Most of the floor and wall and tiling in the room was Marble. She walked over to the big bath and turned on the water, "You can adjust the temperature to your liking, i'll go get you some towels and clothes". She smiled at cora as she walked out closing the door behind her.
As Lana was walking up stairs she wan't sure what to think. Was she right in choosing Cora? Or would the girl simply try and run away? for a moment she peeked in a room at the top of the stairwell. Her parent's room. they were asleep soundly. David and Shiva. she smiled, atleast they were sleeping. Lately they had been so ill it was hard for them to sleep. Calling a doctor to check on the two was out of the question so it was up to her to care for them. Lana hoped that they wouldn't be mad she brought home a slave for assistance. But could she trust her slave with such crucial personal information about the kingdom's status? |
Cora looked around when the woman asked her a question on whether she talked much or not. The girl wasnt being that bad to her. She was pretty much free like the woman had said. She didnt say anything when the woman left the room. It had been such a long time since she had a nice bath. She turned the water so that it was warm and got undressed to get in. The water was soothing as she entered the bath. It was really nice.
As she sat in the bath, she started thinking of what was going on. This one master seemed to perplex her. How could she be so nice. All the other masters were the same, always pushing slaves to their limits. This one was one of the nice ones from what she could see. This one was going to probably have her work for her but from what she could see, she would have some luxurys to it too. She started to wash herself though she could feel the scars of her slavery. After a couple times of touching her back, she pulled her legs into her chest and just held herself there until the woman came back. |
Rummaging through the closet in the guest room, Lana sighed to herself. How many spare clothes did she have? and what did this girl like to wear? she wasn't sure. Lana frowned and pulled out a graphic T and jeans. Hopefully she didn't mind the outfit. going down stairs she knocked on the door to the bathroom, "May I come in?", she asked.

There was a knock on the door and she almost jumped out of the water. No one had been that formal with her, to knock on the door and ask to come in. She looked at the door. "uh.... yes." She held her legs closer to her and stared at the door, waiting for the woman coming in.
