Raphael went to his room and put his spear down against the wall, then took off his coat and went to the palace library. He took a small notebook with him, and a pen and inkwell. He went to the section on royal birth records, then medical records for the royal family, and began taking careful notes.

When Blue woke up the next morning, she went about her normal routine. She went to the bath house and cleaned herself up, then returned to her room to get dressed. After she was dressed, she went to the stable to feed Sadie.

A maid bustled into the stable. 'Princess Maybelle,' she said, 'breakfast will soon be ready.'

Blue winced to herself at being called 'Princess Maybelle', but gave the maid a smile anyway. She was just doing her job. "Thank you." she said, and gave Sadie one last brush and a kiss before heading towards the breakfast hall.

The king smiled at Blue as she came in. 'Good morning, Maybelle,' he said. Currently, they were the only ones at the table.

Blue nodded, keeping her head down. "Good Morning, Father." She made sure she put at least one seat between them and braced herself for the conversation that was sure to come about her escape last night.

'Now, Maybelle...' the king said. He paused when the door opened, and looked back at it. 'Ah, Rebecca.'

The woman stopped in the door and gave a low bow. 'Please forgive my lateness, your majesty.'

'Rebecca?' she thought to herself. Blue looked up. There was something familiar about Rebecca, she just couldn't place it.

Rebecca took a seat next to Blue and nodded at her. 'Good morning.'

"Good morning...." Blue said, eyeing her curiously. "Excuse me, miss, but where do i know you from?"

'Yesterday I was Raphael,' Rebecca said.

Blue didn't know what to say for a second. "Excuse me? I don't believe i understand how... i mean... Rahpael?"

'I've been able to change between being male and female my entire life,' Rebecca said. It was clear she'd explained this several times before. 'About a week is the longest I can go without changing.'

Blue took a breath. "Okay. I'm not sure i compleately understand... but hello, Rapha-Rebecca." Blue tried to smile, and her brain tried to wrap around what she had just learned.

'This is why I didn't want to tell you yesterday,' Rebecca said, seeing Blue had trouble getting around it. 'Some people I've known for years still don't fully understand it.'

"So... Hi, Rebecca. I'm Blue." She extended her hand and gave a smile. "It's very nice to... uhm, meet you?" she said, laughing.

(I am so so so so so so so so so sorry! I'm still living at home, and i got grounded. >.<)

Rebecca gave Blue a thin smile and shook her hand. 'I remember you,' she assured the girl.

Blue turned red. "Oh, i mean, i know, i was just... starting fresh." She gave rebecca a timid smile.

'Considering you weren't very enthusiastic about meeting me yesterday, perhaps that's not a bad idea,' Rebecca said, smiling a little more.

She could feel the redness in her cheeks deepening, and she fought it. "Most people don't like me... i figure it's better to not get my hopes crushed..." she mumbled, looking down.

'You should try taking a chance,' Rebecca said. 'You'll probably be surprised.'

"I've learned it's best not to... But that doesn't mean that stops me from trying." Blue moved her food around her plate, suddenly less hungry as memories came back.

'I've always found taking a chance is the better option,' Rebecca said. 'You're going to find someone willing to spend time with you if you do.'

Blue found her self smiling a little. "If you say so.." she said as she pushed her chair away from the table. Blue then bowed her head to her father and excused herself to the stables.

Rebecca stood up after a while and excused herself, then went out to the stables after Blue, her mind going back to what she had researched the night before.
