In the peaceful city of Rosenburg, Germany (a city I made up for this rp, it means rose castle or rosy castle or something in German. Burg = castle, which is why many German cities end with -burg), 1154 AD, all the knights are armed, the catapults set, the guards at each of the grand towers ready...

Just weeks before, a strange and dark energy set itself over the earth. The angels put a barrier that protected Rosenburg and, perhaps, other places, from the dark force's wickedness.

One thing that was unusual about this (besides, you know, the obvious) is that is was an event of the ethereal realm that the humans with their mortal eyes could see. Before, no matter how much it affected their lives, humans could simply not see the angels, the demons, and the ethers.

This force covered almost all the earth in but an instant. All they could see of it was a pitch black cloud in and, sometimes, a black fog. What it really did was to take the souls of the many people of earth. And the animals (the plants, too, but who cares about there souls? Or the souls of fungi, microbes, etc.? Seriously, UNDEAD MOSS!!)

You see, what passed the earth that day was an ethereal, cosmic parasite named Xanliathurio. He goes to planets with life on them, consumes all the life, and goes its merry way. Sometimes he leaves life on planets, so it'll multiply, but this is in the form of fish and reptiles and things, so the angels' intervention was necessary.

Because of the nature of his methods Xanliathurio (copy + paste) leaves fragments of the soul inside the corpses. This results in zombies, which is why the people of Rosenburg are all ready to attack. What happens next...

In case you haven't noticed, these guys vary much from the original religious angels. I choose not to incorporate God/gods, so they themselves have a sort of mastery over the world. Even as a whole, however, they are not omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, omni-whatever. They have obvious flaws, and many things are left to humans

Zombie

They have little soul left in them, hence, little mind.They are people, reduced to savages. they may bear fragments of memories, personality, knowledge, perhaps even humanity.

She ended up marrying a knight of Rosenburg who enjoyed her flights of fancy, this is whom she got her moon necklace from. He let her join his sister's flower business a few months before the darkness fell over the earth.

So there he was, Jacob, or what was left of him, just outside the gates. They sealed the entrance, he would have to improvise. he took a halberd he stole from another zombie, chopped down a tree, placed it across the moat, and walked clumsily across it. When he got across, he saw the walls where too high for him to climb, they would have been even if he was as dexterous as he was in his past life.

The guards of the castle did not notice him. He was most elusive. He could see angels, men, women, fighting zombies. Everyone in the whole wide world except that little castle? Maybe, who knows? They might just do it. But what about him, poor Jacob, would he be killed among a thousand mindless beasts? He went back to the battlefield, stole a knights armor, put it on, and convinced the guards he was a knight, and he was finally in.

Ray looks down at her chains. She then looks down at the cup she had been drinking of. "What has become of me?" she asked. she swished the liquid around in the cup. then she saw her reflection. Ray only wished she could remember why she was stuck on this hell. She looked up at the ceiling. "What did I do wrong." she takes the last drink the garbed her ax. She puts a few gold coins at the bar. She walks out of the bar and looks at the guard who just removed hes helmet. Something in his eyes seemed... well perfect like she knew him or something.

Ray walks up the the guy and point her Ax at him. "Who the hell are you?" she asked. She tried not to show the fear that she felt. Was this the one she was this they guy who was going to bring order to a dieing world, but how could a zombie... or was he a zombie. she Keep her Ax at his throat. "you Might want to get out of here little girl." she said to the other angel. "He may remember some of what he was but his still dead." she said.

she looks at the girl "i thought so i am angel from the heavens i need to take him but i see the zombies are coming even more i guess i can help" she smiles

"Are you crazy." Ray asked the other angel. "He is a zombie... How the hell can you not see that." Ray still had her Ax at his throat. "Hes one of them and we cant trust him." she lookes him in the eyes. Ray could tell that there was something slightly diffrent about this zombie. He seem more human then Zombie, she still knew what she had to do.

Jacob had his helmet in one hand, and he looked without fear as an angel had an axe to his throat. Had he forgotten fear? perhaps he did, the others of his kind weren't afraid, ever. He listened to what she said to the other angel. "Yes, I am a zombie, but I suppose serenity needs to take me. But I can't let that happen unless I know why. As for you" he pointed his head towards Ray, though he doesn't know her name yet. He was hurt not that he was called a zombie, for he was, but that he was identified as one. He still remembered humanity. He remembered trust. He remembered love. Could he really be "one of them"? He clumsily lowered Ray's axe and said "so tell me, what is your name, oh angel of heaven?"

He backs away. Both from Serenity, and from the other angel. "so you are Serenity. How do you do?" He really wanted to get further into the city, where he would be shrouded further from the world outside his. But he might be found there, too. So his best bet was to try to get these two to bring him sanctuary. Hopefully, they wouldn't notice.

Ray gently removed her Ax from his face. "I can't feel your life force..." she said softly as she looked into his eyes. I want to believe that you are more then just a zombie... But my first duty is to protect these people. For you see that is what I am getting payed for." She said as she took a small package out of one of her many pouches. "Take this. If you can be saved then this will save you." she said as she took some fine pouter out of the small bag. "This will restore you to your formal self. If you still have most of your brain." she put her ax on her back. "And as far as my name just call me Ray."

"Very well, Ray" He said, taking the pouter, not knowing what to do with it. He had a pouter as a child, or at least something similar to one. "I am sorry that you cannot feel my life force, or prove to you that I am not more than a zombie. I wish I could, but I can talk, can't I? I can dance" He started to dance, it was very clumsy, and strange, as can be expected of almost anything to do with the zombies, but he was very good at it as a child. And to see a grown adult do such a childish dance did amuse him, though maybe not the other two in his vicinity, so he stopped. "Is that enough to prove I am human? That, and the pouter. Please,tell me again, how will this give me my former self, or at least, would you tell me what I must do with it?"
