Aphrodite's innocent expression showed none of the evil triumph she felt inside her. "I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about," she said, in the same tone she'd used earlier when discussing Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase.
|
'After all this time my stamped and burried feelings for Sally resurface and you're trying to tell me you have nothing to do with it? You're the Goddess of Love for Pete's sake!'
|
Aphrodite ignored his question. "So you do have feelings for Sally Jackson? I'm touched!" She clutched her heart dramatically. "Oh, there's nothing so sweet as true love, is there?"
|
'I never denied I had feelings for her I just didn't shout them from the rooftops. You know Amphitrite would go mad if she ever found out.'
|
Aphrodite sighed. "Oooh, the drama... lonely married man, unhappy with his wife, fallen in love with a pretty human, terrified of this being found out... just the sort of thing I love. Anyway, was there anything else you wanted, other than a little chat?"
|
'Erm...' it was going to kill me to say this 'Could you help me? And I would like to know what you did to make me...like this again.'
|
Aphrodite laughed with delight. "Do mine godly ears deceive me? The earth-shaker, proud god of the ocean is asking me for help? Well what do you need help with?"
|
'A way to somehow make Sally a Goddess and get rid of my wife.' I said staunchily. I couldn't believe this.
|
"Well you do have the power to make Sally a goddess already, so you're asking me for break-up advice? There are lots of different ways. You can just tell her you want a divorce, plain and simple. Or you could make her do all the work by either being a terrible husband, let her catch you with Sally, or asking me very nicely to set her up with another guy. Of course, the last option would be the best for you, because then she wouldn't hate you, but you'll have to ask me very nicely..." said Aphrodite, playing with her hair with a satisfied smile.
|
'Would you pretty please with love spinkles on top set my wife up with someone else?' I said and almost gagged.
|
Aphrodite's eyes widened a fraction. "I didn't think you'd actually do it. Even my power isn't enough to make someone as proud as you beg. You really do love her... All right, I'll do it. Not for you, but for love. If you'll excuse me then." She turned and walked away, in the direction of Amphitrite's home. She was going to enjoy choosing the poor woman a new husband...
|
Phew, that was over and done with. If she had sayed any longer I probably would have thanked her for making my feeling for Sally resurface. Right. All this lovey dovey nonsense was affecting me, I needed to do something manly. I know, I'd go cause a tornado in the south pacific. But I wouldn't cause any causualties. Gods it really was affecting me.

Once at Amphitrite's home, Aphrodite sneaked in undetected. As a major Goddess, she was able to do that. Amphritrite did not have many possessions, but she did find a pretty chain, each link made carefully out of sea gold. Perfect.
A new husband... there was a whole world of opportunities available. Was he going to be a demigod? A minor god? Some form of mythical creature? Even a human? Or, she could be really really mean and make Amphitrite fall in love with a simple animal from the human world. A human, she decided, would probably be best. That way she wouldn't be able to look down on Poseidon for choosing a new wife in another human. But which one? She changed direction and headed for the human world, disguising herself appropriately. She went to a townnear the sea and picked out a sailor. He was ugly enough to make it fun, but not too much so. She snuck up behind him and wrapped the chain around his neck. He looked startled for a moment, but then the magic Aphrodite had put on it began to work. His eyes glazed, and he looked around him, as if hoping to see someone. He was completely in love with a woman he'd never met. Now she just had to make her fall in love with him. |
Amphitrite looked everywhere for her special chain. Poseidon had given it to her on their wedding day and now she'd lost it! She tried summoning it but it wouldn't come. That meant it was on the earth so she'd have to go down and summon it. She was just about to leave when there was a knock at the door.
|
As soon as Amphitrite opened the door, Aphrodite blew in her face and then ran off, leaving the sailor in her place.
That should do the trick... she thought as she made her way home. |
*Woah, cool new look! :) Cleopatra in blue, lol. Because Sally's gonna be a goddess would that ake Percy a full god? He could then make Annabeth a goddess...'
'Wait...What?' said Amphitrite and then she saw the most beautiful man in all existance. Poseidon I walked into the house and found my wife sitting on the couch with all her bags packed and a human man sitting beside her. Woop Woop! The plan had worked! 'I'm leaving.' Amphritite stated and walked out with her man carrying he bags. When she was gone I let out a large 'WOOP!' and went to go tell Sally the good news. |
*Thanks, I like it too ^^ no Percy won't be a god because she was human when she conceived and gave birth to him, so he'll still be a demigod...*
Aphrodite decided against going home. Hephaestus was back from work and she was not in the mood to look at his ugly face. Instead she went over to Ares's place and flopped down on his couch. "I've had such a trying day," she sighed. "But at least I showed old Barnacle beard nothing conquers love." |
When I appeared before her Sally was sipping a cup of coffee.
'I have brilliant news!' I shouted 'Amphitrite left me!' I beamed. |
*I don't know what to make Sally say! Why do I have to be her?*
Aphrodite looked into her mirror and ordered it to show her a view of the mortal world. She saw a beaming Poseidon visiting his human consort. "That's the happiest I've seen old Barnacle Beard for about a thousand years," she muttered. |
'Really?' said Sally suspisciously, cocking an eyebrow 'You're not just saying that?'
'No, she left me for some sailor, just like I planned!' I smiled widely. 'Yes!' she wooped and ran up to me and kissed me. Then Percy walked in. 'Didn't I tell you? Percy came with me on holiday.' she smiled. Percy looked like he was about to faint. |
"Percy? What's wrong?" Annabeth came into the room and saw Poseidon and Sally. "Oh. My. Gods."
Aphrodite saw this and collapsed into a fit of giggles. This was funner than she'd expected. |
'Hey son!' I attempted and gave him a hug but he went ridged. My godly insincts told me to flee but the fatherly ones wanted to sort this out. Or at east make him able to communicate again.
'Percy? Percy!' I waved my hand in front of his face. 'Breathe son, breathe!' |
