"Ah, its getting late." Freya stood from her seat and stretched again, she had been reading for hours by herself in the library still not feeling terribly brave to meet the others. It seemed that for the moment Des was sedated from all the ready, Freya smiled at the though of having some peace. It would only last for a short amount of time she was sure, but a little peace and quiet went a long way for her from time to time. "I'm taking these with actually." She gathered the small stack of books up and walked to the front desk to check them out. "Hello?" She called out not sure how this system worked with the books, she realized that there was a spot to scan the books and swipe her school id badge to place them under her name. "How nifty. I never would have guessed." She said as she began scanning the barcodes on the books then confirmed to checkout on the small computer screen. Swiping her badge that she had retrieved from her back pocket, she watched as the large bold letter appeared saying 'CONFIRMED' before turning to leave.
Her stomach rumbled softly as she began to make her way down the hall, "Oh. I guess I really haven't eaten much at all today." She sighed remembering she had missed breakfast and lunch due to her schedule. "Should I drop these off first? or should I go eat now and then deal with it?" She looked at her load as she pause din her walk down the hallway. "I guess I can take care of these first. Better safer then to accidentally get something on them." She rolled her eyes thinking that Des would possibly seize the opportunity to try and ruin the treasured pages while she ate. Heading up the stairs, Freya was surprised to see a female slumped against a wall sulking. She looked almost lost to her, though sometimes she wasn't very good at perceiving what others were doing correctly. Taking a deep breath she moved closer to the female and said, "Um, hi." She smiled meekly at first at her unsure how the other female would take this. "You alright? You look kind of upset." She tilted her head slightly to the right as she asked the question of the woman. |
Meep! Oh hush it's just a girl... Homany turned her (his) head toward the girl who'd addressed them. "Yeah... We're alright. Just sort of lost for a bit." S/he smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of her head. "We're new here. Still haven't quite got everything figured out." ((:gonk: Short post is short!)) |
Derrick grabbed Evie with his other hand, kissing her back."I'm glad.." Good job loverboy.. but.. Don't kill the kitty! The kitty made an almost inaudible mewl as it was squished between Evie and Derricks' chests. "Sorry Jade." He kissed the top of Jade's head and it purred, arching itself to get another kiss, or a scratch on the head even. I wonder if it's possible to talk to animals...

Evalign Evie smiled, clongi her eyes at the kiss. "Im glad too.." At hearing the soft mew she backed away a bit to see the cat pop its head between her and Derrick. "Aww, Im sorry Jadey" Leaning down she kissed the Cat a few times, giggling at the cat nuzzled against her purring. "Im sure that there is someone at the Haven who can." she answered his mental question. Michi came foward and started giggling, putting the kitten, laughing at it tried to gnaw on her finger. "Jade is so cute!" |
Freya nodded her head biting her bottom lip momentarily before she shifted her books to one side on her hip. She had noticed the female's eye colors had changed, this was her opportunity to try and talk to someone here that belonged like she did. Taking into account the male's voice that had come through the female, Freya said "Ah. Well I'm Freya." She stepped forward and offered her hand that she had freed from her books. "I've been here for a few months, but I haven't really talked to anyone else actually." She blushed slightly embarrassed at herself unsure of what else she could say to the pair. She was interested in this pair, she had head that there were people that had male/ female duos for Others but she had yet to see one or hear one speak.

Derrick laughed at Michi. "You think Percival can? I mean since he's an elf. Aren't they supposed to be all buddy-buddy with animals?" Noelani scoffed. I beg to differ! Just because I'm an elf doesn't mean I can talk to animals! Well. . . If I could, then Jade would be saying she wants milk. Warm. I mean, thats just hypothetically speaking. "Whatever, Noey." He smiled at Jade. "We'll get you milk in a second, kay?" Jade purred happily, and he wasn't sure if the cat could understand him or if it knew certain words like 'milk' or if it was just happy.

Rather than shake her hand like he thought she suspected he would do, Homany took her hand in his own and bowed low, kissing it as he did so. "It's my pleasure. I am Homany and my host, she's Talula. Call her Tally though." Homany! Stop that! Tally squeaked at him. Leave it to him to do something embarrasing like that. Just to annoy Tally, Homany kissed her hand once more before letting it go and straightening up. After releasing her hand, Homany looked toward the books. "Lemme help with those." He said. Without waiting for a response he took nearly the whole stack of books, leaving only two in the others hand. |

((Yeah? Alrighty. n.n For some reason I just pictured a male's voice and female's for their proper speaking parts when reading and forgot momentarily the story. Sorry! n.n Though I think it'll make it more fun this way.))
Freya was surprised as the gesture was done, her hand having never been kissed or shown any sort of respect before. She blushed even more now unable to hold back an even bigger smile. "A pleasure to meet the two of you. My Other is known as Desdemona, though I tend to call her Des for short. She's um... Kind of sleeping at the moment." She giggled softly waiting to see if Des would pop in at that very moment having been mentioned. There was no mention or sound from her so Freya moved on. Having her stack taken from her she blinked in surprise at them, "Thank you. You didn't need to do that though, I could have managed." She said as she brushed a stray hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear. "I take it you've settled into your room then? Where is it?" She hoped things would continue to go well between them as they were in each others' company. ((Alright all, sadly I need to go to sleep. Got work early tomorrow, but then its my weekend!!!! Yay!!! see you all later then. n.n)) |
Evalign Evie giggled. "Hmm, im not sure, maybe." She pet the kitten and Michi reached out. "Can i hold her, Der-bear?" She smiled, looking up at him with her bright blue eyes. |
"Sadly no. We've not gotten a chance to settle in yet. We... well, I just found it actually." He was having fun with this even though Tally was screaming profanities at him. "I'm sorry my sweet, I have to leave now. My host is being... obnoxious... I leave you here but hope to see you. Maybe tomorrow?" He left the question hanging as he turned and headed toward their room. Laughing mentally at Tally's irate mood. He'd had the books balancing in one hand and, now that he'd left, they were still balancing. This time in mid-air. Show off. Tally said, indicating Homany's use of his telekenesis. Opening the door to the room, both Tally and Homany were pleasantly surprised at what they found. Nothing fancy, but it was nice. Bed, dresser, and what not were scattered throughout. Plopping down on the bed Homany smiled. I can NOT believe you did that Homany!! Tally said angrily. It was no good though. She came forward, taking back full control as she realized that as soon as he'd lain down, Homany had passed out dead asleep. She heard a thump as she took over. After switching control, Homany had lost control of his telekenesis and the books had fallen to the floor. This made her happy in a vindictive sort of way. "Heh. She got what she deserved. Maybe Hom will stay away from her now." She lay back, putting her arms behind her head and then she too drifted off. |
Derrick smiled and handed Jade over to Michi. "Don't drop her." He said to Evie, "Noey got all offended when I made the elf-animal comment, but she said that Jade wants warm milk right about now." Derrick grabbed Evie around the waist with one arm and helped lead her back down to his room since she was carrying the cat at the moment. He whispered 'I'll be back' before going to find some milk.

Evalign Michi giggled "I wont, im good with animals." She pet the cat under her jaw, the part she knew a cat loved to he pet. The kitten purrred and nuzzled Michi's hand. "Awww, Jadey we're gonna get you milk." Evie wanted to stay on the roof and enjoy the sunset, but she didnt want to take over and deprive Michi of her currently happiness. She allowed Derrick to lead her body to his room and watched him leave. Michi..what do you think of Derrick? she asked quietly. Michi was still petting the kitten as she answered. "Well, he seems really sweet, and hes really cute. And i like Noeybear, so i have no problems." She smiled and Evie went inside her mind to mentally walk around and think. |
Derrick came back with a saucer and a carton of milk. "Sorry, Jade, but I don't have a microwave to make your milk warm. I'll get one, I promise." He set the saucer down on the floor and opened the opening to the carton. "And I'll have to get cat food as well," Derrick said absent mindedly, while Jade's ears pricked up and she hopped out of Michi's lap and went near the saucer and sat like a good kitty, waiting for her milk. She mewled, and Derrick came out of his thoughts, pouring the milk as Jade lapped it up quite loudly. He laughed and sat on the floor with Jade, stroking her tail and watching as it flicked back and forth.

Evalign Evie came forth and pulled her feet up to the bed, hugging her legs to her chest as she watched the two. Her undergarments could slightly be seen but she was unaware, staring at Derrick and thinking of what had happened only about an hour ago, careful to hide her thoughts from Michi. It was almost 10ish now, and her gaze turned to the window. She rested her head on her knees as she watched the sunset, she loved the dreamlike colors of the sky when the sun rose and set. She wished it could always be like that.. |
Jade finished the rest of the milk and Derrick hopped up on the bed, laying down, his feet near Evie's back. He poked her with his foot and motioned for her to lay next to him. Jade popped up on the bed, almost falling, and regained herself, walking up on Derrick's chest, pawing it, stretching, and turning around in a circle three times for good measure before mewling, laying down, and falling asleep. "Aww. How cute is that. She must like me." He petted behind her ear, and she purred in her sleep.

Evalign Evie was in a daze as she stared out the window but was pulled back to reality and Derrick nudged her, looking over her shoulder she saw his gesture and crawled over to him, laying on her left side she rested her head on his shoulder. She eyed the cat and smiled "Yea i think she does.." Her voice was quiet, internally she was still thinking. |
Derrick smiled and wrapped his arm around Evie, cuddling around her without moving Jade. He sighed. "Don't you think it's weird that we're all so close to each other? I mean, your room is next door and that Rain girls' is on the other side, and I think Percival is a couple doors down from you..." He trailed off into thought, wincing when Jade's claws poked him in the chest before retracting. "Must be having a bad dream.." About being attacked while sleeping in an alleyway. She's kicking their butts, though. It's fun knowing her thoughts. Alright, Miss I-Can-Talk-To-Animals.

Evalign Evie looked up and her eyebrow rose. "How did you know i was next door?" She didnt think Derrick would have seen, or paid attention to any other door. looking to the cat she pet between her ears soothingly. |
Derrick smiled. "You don't think I'd notice the huge lettering saying "EVALIGN & MICHI" on the door, right next to mine, which we had to pass to get in here? Come on, Evie. My attention span is longer than that, but of course you know that." His cheeks blushed a soft pink as he looked at her. Come on, Loverboy. Details! NO, Noey. *D;* Fine, you selfish bastard. You can't even tell your Other what you do when you're away. Love ya, Noe. Mhm. I know.

Evalign Evie rolled her eyes remembering Michi had asked the Elders to change it to Michi from Michaela. She let out a laugh as she heard Noeys inner curiousity, blushing herself. When Derrick looked at her she stroked his jawline. "soft.." she said quietly. |
Derrick's blush softened to almost an invisible pink, blending with his pink cheeks. If Evie wasn't paying attention, she probably wouldn't realize it was there. He moved his jaw to speak, "Well, come on. I shave." He smiled and chuckled.

Evalign Evie smiled and brushed her lips against the smooth skin along his jawline. "Well, thats good." She whispered, starting to shoo Michi to the back of their mind, promising to take her to the pet store tomorrow to play with the animals. After that Michi locked herself away, creating her own imaginary world as Evie had complete control. |
