Derrick sighed and let Noey talk to Michi. "He's like a brother to me. Really. I'm way older than him, so he can't be like my daddy." She giggled, sounding odd in a male's voice, and remembered the seconds before her conversation with Michi. "Really, Derrick, don't tease the girl like that. Evie, I'm sorry but he's a huge flirt and he wouldn't kiss you this soon. He wanted to see you blush again." Why would you tell her that, Noey? You're killing me here.

Michi giggled. "Well, Im only 6 so, Evie says she needs to look after me." Michi made a face when she said that Derrick was teasing Evie. "Well Derrick thats not nice! Evie li-" Shoving Michi back Evie popped up cutting her off. "Well thats just fine then..." she said quietly and sipped her tea. Awww why cant i tell her! Michi just keep it shut...please... She wasnt ready to let people hurt her again...Not like Adam had...she loved him...and he made her heart shatter...She didnt mean to hurt the guys that liked her...but she never teased them...she was just...naturally cuutteee?? Michi chimed in. Evie turned away, she didnt feel like talking anymore..

Derrick mentally slapped Noey. See what you did? Sorry.. I'll shut up now."Hey, you okay?" He reached out slowly, cupping her face in his hand and turned her face toward his, looking concerned. I never said I didn't like her, Noey. I never said anything other than her blush is really cute. This is why I usually shut you out. I said sorry..

Evie's eyes were slightly dead looking as she looked at him, her mind still running over the past painful relationship. "I'm fine." She said softly. Moving her gaze to her teacup she let her fingertip circle the edge of it, making a soft humming noise. Evie...you want me to take over? Michi suggested softly, yet Evie softly shook her head. "Tell Noey its fine...just brought up bad memories is all." She smiled weakly as her gaze lifted to look at him. "No fun lingering on the past though."

Derrick smiled, relieved she wasn't upset. He stroked her face for a minute and then blushed, realizing what he was doing and pulled his hand away. "Sorry about that," he muttered, and Noey pulled forward, laughing again. "You're six, how cute!" Neolani continued her conversation on while Derrick hid out.

Evie shivered at his touch and shyed back as she felt Noey take him over. Michi smiled and giggled. "Yeah! how old are you Noey?!" Evie was shying but used her mental abilities to tapp into Derricks area of the mind and make a small connection for speech. "Im sorry...but...like Michi tried to say before..i like you..and..likeing people scares me..i hate getting hurt.." She spoke to his mind softly, Noey unable to hear. Secret convos are no fun if Michi cant talk! Evie shooed her and mumbled Talk with Noey.

Noelani laughed. "Three hundred. I would have had my three hundred and one birthday in three months."

Derrick flinched as he felt her in his mind. He replied to her, "I'm sorry, Evie. And, I kinda like you too. And if anyone ever hurts you, they'll get their asses kicked." He smiled inside, wondering if Evie would pick that up as well.

Noelani was still talking to Michi, unaware of the conversation between the two.

Michi gasped. "Can I throw you a birthday party, Noeybear?!" She giggled and clapped her hands happily. Evie will you help?! Smiling, Evie and mentally nodded.

Evie let her laugh travel along their mental connection. "Only kinda?" She teased softly, feeling slightly more comfortable that he could see her facial expressions. "And why so protective?"

Noelani laughed. "Sure, Michi, if it makes you happy." She smiled at the girl, petting her head softly.

Derrick laughed along with Evie. "Okay, okay, I do like you. And I'm a pretty protective person. Deal with it." He teased back, wondering what would happen between them.

Michi giggled as the girl pet her hair, giving the girl a big smile, her eyes big bright and blue. "Thank you thank you! I'll make it big and Oh so much fun!"

Evie grinned wishing she could kiss the boy right now. "Oh, i dont mind at all." She let her feeling of desire travel along the connection. "At least i know im always safe with you" She flirted

Percival and Jonathan flew down from the celestial oak tree they made.There in the garden/lawn, it would be for eternity. The spirits had blessed them with wings, they could fly with their telekinesis, but their new wings where so much more beautiful, more elegant. The wings where now not only part of their body, but of their souls too. They looked like golden wings, four of them, (what kind of wing, I leave to your imagination) and it would take time to fully master their power, but the basic method of flying, point A to point B, they could do.

When they got to their destination, the bakery, they where surprised at what they found. (have Percival/john met derrick yet? I don't think so) "hello Evie", said Percival, speaking for both of them, their four wings where visible, everyone stared. He sat down by Evie and Derrick. He ate some of the cake Evie offered him, 'surprised by everything about it, trying not to show it. "Hello," he said to Derrick "I am Percival, an elf, and this is Johnathan, or John, my host, a dark elf."

Amber strutted down the hallway in the Haven, a beat-up nap sack slung over her shoulder filled with all the possessions her mother allowed her to have. Well, maybe mother was the wrong word for her. That woman did give birth to Amber, but what "mother" would toss her own daughter out on the streets. That whore could live alone with nothing but patrons from the strip clubs to keep her company for all Amber cared.

Amber adjusted the bag on her shoulder, popping her hot pink chewing gum loudly. The red-head cringed slightly when she felt the mind-link open. What did she want this time?

"Amber! Don't pop your gum like that. It's very rude," her Other, Gabriela, scolded.

"Who the fuck cares if I pop my gum or not? Not like anyone can here me," Amber mumbled in reply, smacking her gum with an open mouth.

"Language, Amber! We were very lucky that you were allowed to stay here, especially considering such recent unfortunate circumstances. Don't ruin it with your rudeness and that...potty mouth of yours!"

"Just stuff it already, Gabby. I'm not in the mood," Amber sighed, throwing open the door to her room.

Michi looked up at Perc pushing Evie forth and she reluctantly came forth, her amethyst eyes returning. "Hey, Percy." she said affectionately with a smiled. She smiled as he ate a slice of her apple pie and giggled at his inner thoughts. "You like it?" Her eyes glanced to Derrick as he was addressed and she felt a slight tinge of worry. Derrick is protective...and Johnathan...loves me.. Evie innerly shuddered, this couldnt end well. Michi was excited to see the two fight over her host.

Amber's bedroom door slammed open noisily as the teenager stepped into her new room. It was....puny at best. The run-down shack she use to call home had more room than this place. But it was better than living on the streets. Amber shrugged and tossed her nap-sack onto her bed.

"All moved in," Amber confirmed, wiping her hands clean.

"Amber, at least empty your bag," Gabriela pleaded. "You don't have very much."

"As if I need to be reminded," the red head mumbled bitterly. "You do it it if it bothers you so much."

"How many times do I have to tell you. I'm your guide...not your maid!"

"Then the bag stays," Amber stated firmly, quickly ending the argument. "Besides, I wanna check out the local stores. Try and fix up this place a bit."

Amber left her room, kicking the door closed with her foot. She stuck her now tasteless gum underneath an end table she passed by before exiting the haven and walking down the street.

Derrick laughed at Evie's flirting just as another elf sat down. An elf! Derrick! He smiled at Noey's excitement. He took control again, not wanting her to make him squeal like a girl. "Hello, Percival and Johnathan. I'm Derrick, and my Other is Noelani. She likes to be called Noey, though." He smiled at the elf, and Noey burst forward, eyes changing from brown to blue. "I'm a light elf too! I haven't seen any of my kind as Others or Hosts yet, and even seeing a dark elf would satisfy me, even though I was killed by a dark elf. Anywho! I'm blabbering aren't I? I'm sorry.. I don't get out much, and I usually have to fight to-" Derrick sighed. "I told you not to do that, Noeybear. See? This is why you don't get out as much. You make me look.. girly, when I'm clearly male." He rubbed his temples and peeked back at Evie.

Rain eyed the man sitting next to Evie and Percival. She skipped over and dragged a seat over, sitting closer to Percival and Johnathan than the other man, who'd said he was Derrick a few seconds ago. "I'm Rain. My Other is Akemi. We're both human." That was nice of you to come say hi, even though you clearly don't like the man. It's not that I don't like him, it's the fact that there's something weird about the guy.

Amber's heels clicked against the pavement as she made her way down the street, flicking her hair off her shoulder in a showy manner. She passed by stores and restaurants, merely window shopping to know what was in the area. She didn't exactly have the money purchase anything fancy at the time.

"What a lovely place this is!" Gabriela commented happily. "So many cute shops...Hey! Maybe you can find yourself job now. I'm sure someone is hiring."

"I'm good," Amber replied, stretching her slender arms over her head, causing the skirt of her dress to rise slightly higher than it should. Gabriela blushed in embarrassment. This is why she rarely came out of Amber's mind: Gabriela didn't want to be seen in such revealing outfit. It was not ladylike in the least.

"Why get a job anyways?" Amber continued. "I'm sure that haven place will provide everything I need," she grinned, adjusting her lipstick in a bakery window.

Evie smiled at Derrick, blushing slightly. He thinks its embarassing but i find it so cute! Michi giggled and hugged the girl mentally. He seems like a real sweety. When Rain sat down Evie felt a bit more relieved at not being the only girl at the table, but she heard thoughts from afar and turned to look to the bakery window. With a smile she whispered. "Well it seems we picked the Hosts meeting place." Gesturuing with her head towards the window she saw a red headed girl. Mentally she was fighting with her other, who seemed quite sweet, but the girls attire was what John and Perc would call sluttish, but Evie thought it was cute.

Derrick peeked towards the window. What on Earth is that girl wearing? Stripper clothes, Noey. I'll tell you more later. He looked back at Evie, smiling. Evie...

Evalign

Evie turned to Derrick at the mental call of her name, tapping into his section of the mind she answered. Yes? again their conversation was private from michi, noey and everyone else. There was a smile on her face, she like the was he way thinking her name and a small blush creeped on her cheeks. This boy really made her melt inside.

Derrick grinned upon hearing Evie and seeing her blush. Ah, I'd wondered where you'd run off to. Are you trying to make this a Romeo and Juliet thing? I mean making me call out to you and make up some cheesy speech about my love for you. Maybe Noey was right; maybe I have read that book too many times. He now blushed himself, letting Noey take over to the others wouldn't see. Need some privacy? I can arrange that. If you don't mind?

Noelani then concentrated on Percival/John, as well as Michi, Rain/Akemi, and the other blue haired girl, focusing their attention on another conversation, making them not care about what the hell the two were blushing over. You owe me. That took a lot of energy. I'll pay you back somehow, dear.

As Amber was fixing herself in the window, she looked past her reflection and noticed the curious glances she was receiving from within the bakery. They wanted to look? All right. She'd give them something to look at. With a flip of the hair and a coy smile on her face, Amber slipped into the bakery.

"Well, hello there," Amber greeted flirtatiously, leaning slightly against the wall. She was about to continue when her Other cut her off.

"A-Amber! I think they're like us!" Gabriela said in a giddy manner.

"You mean from the haven?" Amber wondered, dropping her seductive facade slightly, looking over the other people within the bakery.

Evie smiled, letting Michi take over thinking Derrick had a good idea about hiding. Whe Michi saw the new girl she waved and smiled. "Hai! Im Michi! I think your dress is reaalllyy pretty." She said with a big grin. Evie looked the girl up and down, she seemed so young, yet seductive like she herself was sometimes.

Letting out a giggle on their mental connection Evie gave him and her a vision, blocking out everyone else, so they could focus on eachother. The vision was just them alone, sitting at the table across from eachother. I love Romeo and Juliet She said softly with a smile. And when I shall die, take him and cut him up in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will fall in love with night and pay no worship to the garish sun. She said the lines and gazed up at him, smiling. My Romeo indeed.

Derrick smiled and looked towards the ground, nervous. Yeah. Pretty dumb, though. They should have ran away somewhere, far away, instead of making their families kill eachother and then themselves in the end. Running away to a place where they could be by themselves, love eachother and not have to hide it. You know? He blushed.

Evie nodded. Yet, thats just the beauty of it. Their love was so strong that they would die, just to be together...forever... Her vision self let her fingertip glide around the rim of her tea cup, staring at it. I wish that love like that truely existed...so powerful that even death couldn't end it... Letting out a soft laugh she turned her amethyst eyes back up to the man. For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo.
