Alex bent his head against the howling wind as he slowly made his way through the snow to a small village. He had climbed to the top of a hill and had spotted it from there. He was very glad to see it. He was freezing. Not that it much mattered of course. There weren't very many things a Vampire could do to warm up...

Alex was one of the few Ancients left. He was a very old Vampire, although he only looked about twenty or so. Over the years, he had distanced himself from his kind and found humans interesting, even attractive. He didn't drink their blood anymore and sustained himself with real food; however, he did occasionally drink from animals every now and then.

He sighed and continued his trek. He hoped one of the buildings would be open and the only one that actually had a sign up at all was a bar. Joy. The music irritated him, but he quickly pushed it out of his mind. Alex made his way to a seat, brushing by a few other customers and waitresses, before finding an open spot at the counter.

Diana looked down, from where she was standing she saw a little village, her bright red eyes glittered and she smiled her fangs showing for a moment before she closed her mouth and she started towards the town. In the direction she was going the wind was hitting her back making long strands of her black hair fly foward and whip around in the wind. Snowflakes caught onto her eye lashes and her hair. She shivered, Why did i choose today to go walking!

Once she was in the village she looked around, it reminded her of the village she lived in before she was bitten. She wasnt an old, old vampire but she wasnt a newborn either, she was at least 200 something years old. She only looked twenty-one but that was one of the 'perks' of being immortal. She didnt like drinking human blood, but she did if it was absolutely her only choice. She normally ate human food which made her gag, or drank animals blood.

She glanced around the village and she found a bar. She nearly ran towards it and opened the door. She was welcomed with annoying music and alot of people. She barely felt the warmth of the bar. She slid into the door and closed it behind her. She pushed past the various people and slid into a barstool. She pushed her hair away from her face and tossed it over her shoulders and looked around.

Alex lowered his hood as he waited for the tender to get to him. Seeing as the bar was probably the only place open on such a day, it was packed almost to the brim. Alex tucked a strand of dark brown hair out of his face and rubbed his pale hands together, as if hoping that would help. The throbbing music did nothing to improve his mood either. The bar wasn't very warm at all, despite the crowd (not that it would have mattered much because being an Ancient prevented him from picking up heat to begin with). Oh, how he loathed the snow! Next time he would travel somewhere warmer...

His senses picked up on another form nearby who was, like himself, a Vampire. He smirked slightly, but there were no fangs to show since he had the ability to hide them (unless he was feeding of course). Alex was most curious about this newcomer since he didn't spend too much time with his own kind, which was rather sad in a way. He moved from his seat and started to search the bar methodically. He was quick to find the source. It was a young woman with black hair and red eyes.

"Well, well, well... Hullo there." Alex greeted.

His voice had a slight British accent, which was only noticeable on a few words. He flashed her a smile, eyes glittering like ice with the gesture, ever the gentleman.

Diana looked over at the source of the voice she had heard, "hello" she said in a soft bell-like voice, Hm vampire she thought with a half-smile. her red eyes studied him quickly and she turned to a woman, "a glass of red wine please" she smiled at the woman and then turned to the man, "Do you want anything while shes standing here?"

She wasnt used to being this close to another vampire. Part of her wanted to be civil, another wanted to rip his throat out.(she has some...issues) She blinked the melted snowflakes off of her eyelashes, making drops of water run down her incredibly pale face. She turned and stared at the man, waiting for him to say something.

"No, I'm fine, thanks."

Alex shrugged his shoulders somewhat. He hadn't been thirsty to begin with and alcohol had a tendency to mix poorly with him at best. He studied the woman for a moment, wondering whether he should stay or not... He wasn't a risk-taker by a long shot. After nearly 2,000 years he had learned better. So he decided to play it safe for now.

"My name is Alex. Nice to meet you, miss."

Diana looked over at him, "Im Diana" she told him, "Nice to meet you, Alex" she smiled and thanked the waitress who brought over a glass of wine. She took a sip of it and her red eyes flicked to the man again. "So what brought you out on this very.....snowy day" she asked him. She put the glass back down on the counter and began drumming her ruby red nails filed to a point on the bar surface.

Alex inclined his head when Diana introduced herself and filed her name away for future reference. As much as he liked spending the majority of his time with Humans, he didn't mind meeting the occasional Vampire every now and then either. It was certainly a nice change. He grinned when she asked him what had brought him out on such a day.

"Nothing much, really. I just felt a move coming on. And yourself?"

Diana pursed her red lips, "Im not even sure" she said finally. She sat up straighter and a grin tugged at her lips, "We choose a damn fine day to travel eh?" she chuckled softly. She brought her hands to her lap when a waitress told Diana's nails were making marks on the bar surface. The waitress rolled her eyes at Dianas ruby nails, "You really shouldnt file them to a point you could hurt someone" Diana smirked at the woman, "Darling you dont know the half of it"

"A mighty fine day, if you ask me."

Alex chuckled. He raised an eyebrow when a waitress came over to tell Diana to move her nails off the table since they were leaving marks. Now that his attention had been brought to them, he noticed they were quite long and had been filed to a point; not to mention painted blood red. When the waitress left to go attend to someone else, he moved in closer.

"So... do you use your nails as weapons? Or are they just for show?"

Diana chuckled at him and then turned so fast she was a blurr. She stopped with one nail pointed at Alexs neck, "Both really, i only use them if i have to, if i dont need to use them" she dropped her hand back to her lap, "then they are just used to scare people off" She moved back when he came closer, she wasnt used to having another vampire be this close unless she was fighting them off.

If she surprised him, then Alex certainly didn't show it. He merely blinked when she was suddenly pointing one nail at his neck. He nodded slowly. He made a mental note not to piss off Diana so he moved back a little, sensing that she needed her space.

"Don't do that again, otherwise I'll think you're challenging me."

Diana smirked, "and what if i was" she was joking of course but this man interested her. She began scratching a brokenheart on the edge of the bar. Her red eyes glittered and she turned back to alex, "im not looking to fight just so you know" she narrowed her eyes, "but i will if i have to"

He smirked slightly. "Well then... You'd be dead by now, my dear."

Alex didn't think she was looking for a fight though or she would have started one the moment they had set eyes on each other. He wasn't particularly fond of fighting his own kind, but he had killed before so that wasn't about to bother him very much. He eyed her as she narrowed her gaze on him.

"I'm not looking to fight either. I'm just trying to stay warm." He winked. "Besides, killing you would be such a waste."

Diana chuckled, "Yeah id like to see you kill me" She smirked when he commented on trying to stay warm, "Yeah good luck with that" she told him. She could tell he wasnt looking for a fight, that was good because Diana hates fighting with her own kind and she hates having to kill a fellow vampire. She chuckled again, "A lone vampire with a violent past, and no family to speak of, yep killing me wouldnt be doing me a favor or anything" she said sarcastically.

Alex smirked again, but didn't say anything. He felt that if he did then he would be the one challenging her and he really wasn't in the mood to fight. He was tired from his long journey and frankly enough there weren't enough Vampires in the world to begin with so it would just be a waste of energy. Not to mention the fact that looks could be deceiving and he certainly had no desire to bite off more than he could chew. Hehe.

"So... whatchu doing in these parts?"

Diana shrugged, "Time to relocate i guess, i dont like staying in one place for too long" this was true, shes been all over because she will stay a few years in one place and then back out and dart off and live somewhere else, she even lived in Ireland for ten years. "Ever been to Ireland" she asked him randomly, "Its beautiful there" she smiled.
