"When you get better meet me in the hanger. I have a surprize for you." Shaun kissed her again and left to let her rest.

Ava looked at him confused as he left. a surprise?.. She wondered. Still Ava rested for awhile. Allowing the pain killers to kick in. She then got up and got dressed. Heading for the hanger against the doctor's request. laying down for a long time was something she could not do anyhow.

As Ava enterd the hanger Shaun stood there with the rest of his squad. "Ava, would you come here please." Shaun sounded offical.

"Yes Sir" Ava nodded and moved closer. Moving to stand with the rest of the squad.

Shaun stood in front of Ava. "I have called you all here to be witneses." Shaun looked into Ava's eyes. "I told you I had a surprise." Shaun got down on one knee, and took a gold ring out of his pocket. "Ava, will you marry me?"

A small tear came to Ava's eye as he asked her. She slowly got down to his level and hugged him. "Yes Shaun" She told him kissing him.

Shaun kissed her back. The rest of the squad cheered and applauded.

Ava stood back up blushing a bit. Her heart was racing over a million times per second. She watched him put the ring on her finger and took his hand.

Shaun took Ava by the hand. "Ava, I have other news. come with me." He took Ava to a large, private roomin the living quarters, with its own showers. "I got us our own living quarters."

Ava embraced him. It seemed almost like a fairy tale, but was real. She started to take a look around. "This is spectacular Shaun. I am surprised your bosses allowed such a thing." Ava said sitting down on their new bed. Her pains were starting to come back slowly. But not enough, she just shoved them away and ignored them.

Shaun sat next to her. "They were impressed that I was able to deal such a devastating blow to the empire. And now we don't have to keep our romance a secret anymore." Shaun kissed Ava gently.

Ava kissed him back. Then laid her head in his lap. "That is great. I wonder what our squad is now thinking though." Ava said with a small laugh.

Shaun smiled. He brushed his fingers through her hair. "Oh, I'm sure they understand. Some of them already have husbands or wives."

"Yeah... Our leave is coming up soon right?" Ava asked him. Because of the families each squad took a certain amount of time off every now and then. Their squad was long over due. Though Ava was not sure if Shaun would be able to leave. Not without more tests with Rex.

"Yes, as a matter of fact it is. I was thinking you could come with me to the mid-pacific islands. They're beatutiful this time of year, and I was hopeing that's where we could get married."

Ava closed her eyes. Thinking about the spots from pictures she had scene. "Maybe on a beach? Or by a cliff? Nothing too formal I hope." Ava asked him.

"A cliff overlooking the sea sounds perfect." Shaun leand down and kissed Ava. "Why don't we leave tomorow?"

Ava shook her head. "I want to be healed before the big day." She told him, moving her shoulder a bit. With proper medicine she would be fine in a few days or so. "Let's relax tomorrow. You know we both need it. I can tell driving Rex has worn you out. I can see it in your eyes." Ava reached a hand up and stroked his cheek.

Shaun layed back on the bed, helping Ava rest her head on his shoulder. "Being with you has been the hapiest time of my life" he said looking into her eyes.

She nuzzled into him a bit. Then looked up into his eyes. "I love you Shaun. You are too good to me sometimes."

"I know." He kissed her deeply. Being with her made him at ease.

Ava kissed him back, wrapping her good arm around him neck to pull him in even closer.

Shaun kissed Ava more passionetly. He rolled on his back to let Ava rest on top of him.

Ava got on top of him and continued to kiss him.
