"No, I don't believe I've ever met them. Why don't we go over and say hello? Maybe invite them to come to the park with us."

"That sounds like a great idea." Ava said giving him a kiss. "We should probably head to bed... Long day tomorrow"

Shaun and Ava put the twin's in their cribs, then headed off to bed. Shaun held Ava in his arms as he fell asleep instantly.

AVa laid in her husband's arms. Half way through the night, there was a hard knock on the door. Ava listened, also hearing the sounds of a helicopter.

Shaun turned to Ava. "Wait here" He went downstairs and opened the door. He was greeted by a soldier who had urgent news.

Ava had to get up though. The noise woke the babies up. Ava went into their room, and told them everything was alright. "Shhhh, its alright you two" Ava spoke softly.

Shaun ran back up to Ava. "They need me to pilot the Rex. The Empire has launched something, and it's huge."

Ava turned to him. A bit of fear in her eyes as she felt her legs get weak. Ava sat down and stared at him. "Just.. come back this time.."

Shaun sat next to Ava. "No matter what happens, I will come back to you and our children." He kissed Ava goodbye, and headed off with the soldiers.

Ava looked out the window, watching him go. Ava went back to their children. Quieting them down. They both went back to sleep right away, and Ava went back into the bedroom. Unable to sleep.

Shaun arrived at the base, And boarded the Rex. He placed a picture of Jason and Sara next to the picture of Ava. He activated the Rex and took off. Shaun landed at the location. At first he saw nothing, But then a huge dome like stucter aross from the ground, hovering in the air. "My god."

After a while of waiting for sleep, Ava got up and went downstairs to watch Tv. The cartoons were on. Just the typical cat and mouse chase. The connection cut though, to one showing Rex. "Why is the Media there?!" Ava sat up and watched more. She remembered many of the bigger battles where the news would show up and film everything for the future. Only the bigger battles though.

Shaun stared up at the massive flying fortress. It fired a hundered missles at him. The Rex withstood the impact. Shaun returned fire with his plasma cannons, but the fortress had force-field around it. "Oh shit" Shaun thought to himself.

Ava watched the Tv. The final thing she saw was the Rex being fired upon. One missile started to head towards the News helicopter. Missing just barely as they went off the air.

Shaun decided to retreat, and took off. As he flew through the air, he fired a nuclear missle at the flying fortress. As the smoke cleared, the fortress remained unefected.

Ava watched the static on the Tv for awhile. Hoping something would come up. NOthing did, the news anchors came back on and ended it, as the next show started. Ava started to really worry then..

Shaun landed back at HQ. They evacuating. a mobile platform hauled away the Rex. Shaun got on a shuttle and headed home. He instantly ran inside the house. "Ava, honey, get the twins. we have to evackuate."

Ava nodded and headed upstairs. Packing for the babies as fast as she could. Just a few things they would need. It still seemed like a lot though. "What is going on Shaun?!" She asked zipping their second bag.

"To a hidden base deep in the woods. The flying fortress is headed this way." Shaun, Ava, and the twins boarded a shuttle and took off. A few hours later, they landed at the secret forest base.

Ava held the twins close to her as they left. Shaun held them, but still Ava was worried. When they arrived, Ava looked at the forest. It was a nice place to him.. but kind of expected in their state. She stayed close to Shaun. Following his every move.

Shaun and Ava were taken with the twins to a private houseing quarters. "At least we were able to get away safely. This new weapon is more powerful than anything we've ever encounterd." Shaun sat down and held Jason and Sara in his arms. He was glad that his family made it out ok.

Ava sat next to Shaun. She could hear the commotion from outside. "It has to have a weakness... everything does." Ava said to Shaun. Pacing a bit. She was starting to wish she could get out there and do her part for the Union. As she always had. At least everyone was alright this time..

" High command is going to have a meeting about the situation tomorrow. But for now, why don't you come sit with your family."

Ava stopped and nodded. Coming over to Shaun and the twins. Taking a seat to his right."I am just scared.." Ava admitted to him.

Shaun let Ava rest her head on his shoulder. "It's ok to be scared. But we will get through this. everything is going to be alright." He kissed her gently.
