StoryLine: You used to be human and one day you woke up and now your... not.
You have super powers and look awesome! Now all you have to do is find others in this abandoned world and find out whats going on. WELCOME TO THE PORTAL!

Post whenever you want (Just be careful about that double posting stuff)
Try to be literate like in the realm.
Just jump in with your characters and start.

Bia was happily hopping in the forest with Nikk slowly walking behind her. She didnt exactly know why she was so happy, but she was. Nikk on the other hand was serious like he was all the time. "Come on Nikk!" Shouted Bia in a happy squeal. Nikk on the other hand had no idea what they were doing here perhaps Bia had sensed a new arrival. She had the ability to tell where things were and it was a useful power for when she lost his stuff.

"I really hope we dont have to be out here for much longer." He said to Bia who looked up at him with puppy dog eyes. It usually meant that they would be.

Akino peeked over the top of a large flower that was almost twice as big as her as she viewed her surroundings. This wasn't quite where she intended to end up. She fluttered her delicate blue wings and plopped into the center of the flower, making a cloud of pollen fly up around her, covering her in a fine yellow powder. These new tiny wings of hers just didn't seem to get her far at all!!

Bia was jumping around when some movement in the flowers caught her eye. "Omigoshness." She said as she pranced over to the flower. "Hello butterfly whats your name?"

Nikk really wasnt paying attention seeing as she was talking to a bug, but then he noticed it was a pixie. "That is not a butterfly." He started

Bia of course ingnored him.

Akino put her hands on her hips and pulled herself up to her full 2 inch height to glare up at this giant bubbly thing with a rather loud voice. "That's right, I'm a pixie you ninny!" she yelped in a voice that was surprisingly loud for a tiny creature, loud enough to be easily heard by the giants. "And my name's Akino, but you can call me Aki!"

Bia looked at it confused and then at Nikk. "You told me that butterflies where small things with colorful delacate wings?" This was obviously what he had described.

"You have seen a butterfly before Bia this looks nothing like a butterfly." Nikk breathed in deeply.

"Anyway." She turned her attention back to the pixie. "What are you doing all the way out here?"

Nikk shook his head again, but didnt correct her. He knew that pixies lived where ever they wanted to so being this far out in the forest wasnt something that should be unusual

Teva winced a little as her hooves crunched along the forest path. She'd been a ranger once, she remembered, and quiet on her feet. But now, now she was a fine bay centaur, and stealth was no longer her forte. How she'd come to be what she was, not to mention where she was, still escaped her. At least she remembered who she was. That was something she could be thankful for.

She hadn't been a centaur for much longer than a fortnight. In that time, she'd grown somewhat used to prancing around on four legs, and to eating a great deal more than she'd used to. She had, in that time, gathered whatever gear she could find, including (much to her delight) a bow and quiver. This had made gathering food much easier. That she could still eat meat was a blessing, as far as she was concerned.

The woman stopped along the path, listened, sensitive ears twitching. Stopping frequently to listen was a habit she'd needed to learn, to make up for the noise she made. Usually she heard little but the sounds of the forest, but this time strange voices drifted over the birdsong. Teva decided that a change in direction was in order.

Soon, following the sound of the voices, she came upon a small clearing in which two strange horned folk were standing, talking to... Something. She squinted, swishing her tail. A pixie? Interesting. "Well, then," she started, clearing her throat, "what brings you to the forest?"

Akino flew up into the air to be even in height with the people talking to her. "I flew here!" she exclaimed. "wherever here is. The world looks much different from so low to the ground you know. Hard to see the big picture!"

a sound made her spin around in the air, her long brown hair with its tiny berries tied into it flinging about. "Who's there?!" she called as a horse-like creature walked into view.

Teva stared at the pixie as she flew higher, more conscious than ever of her own size. That, too, had been an adjustment. Her horse body stood a little over five feet at the withers, about the size of a polo pony, but in total she really was quite tall.

She held out a hand to the pixie, in case she wanted to perch. And in any case, the centaur wanted to see her more closely. "My name is Teva," she replied, trying to keep her voice soft. "And yours? How long have you been living in the flowers here?"

Bia looked over at the centaur and hid behind Nikk a little.

"We live in the forest." Said Nikk. "Thats why we are here."

Bia wasnt to happy with his answer. "We are out on an adventure!" She said excitedly. "Would you like to join us?" She hopped up and down behind Nikk shaking his arm as well.

The centaur turned her attention away from the pixie, and focused on the horned people. The small one was particularly cute. Teva wondered why she hid behind the tall one. Then she shrugged it off. "Well, it's a large forest, and I haven't been here long. It's nice to meet you both." Whatever their names were. She smiled politely which, given Bia’s enthusiasm, wasn't hard to do.

An adventure, though. Wasn’t this already an adventure? Did she really need to seek one out? She shuffled a forehoof, pondering. Teva had been more or less wandering aimlessly until now. She was still a bit tentative, that was true, but perhaps it was time to move on in any case. "What sort of adventure are you out on?" she finally asked the bouncing girl.

"I'm Bia and this is Nikk and thats a butterfly." She said pointing to Akino "Im not sure what adventure we're on, but we are on one." She looked at the tall Half ram person for a while thinking. "Nikk is on an adventure, but he says that he doesnt need any help."

Nikk shook his head at Bia trying to shut her up. "Thats nothing they need to know about!"

Nikk was about to yell at Bia more, but there was a different sound filling the forest. Nikk and Bia looked up and saw a shadow of something ready to land on the ground. The winged person landed right in front of Nikk laughing. He pushed Bia behind him.

"You always said that you didnt need any help with anything." The girl definetly had an evil aura to her. She dressed in all black and the bat like wings on her back gave her an anti-angel feeling. She looked around at all the creatures and smirked. Here eyes were completly black with no color. "I see you've made a few friends."

Bia was shivering behind Nikk. "You are not wanted her Farlow, You can leave." He was angry. This woman was always causing him problems. She was a constant thorn in his side. And what was worse was that she was stalking him.

Akino landed on Teva's hand as this creature came from the sky, her voice dark and her aura abrasive against Akino's own sparkly pixie dust that surrounded her. "Oh dear, it seems I have wandered into something I don't want to be a part of..." she muttered softly. "If this is an adventure, I don't want to play!"

Teva, with the pixie safely perched on her hand, backed up a few steps, almost into a tree. The dark winged woman who'd just landed gave her the shivers. But that didn't mean there was any immediate danger, persay. The tall fellow seemed to be handling it just fine, at least for now. "Well, sit tight," she replied to Akino. "If we need to get away, we will." She supposed, privately, that she could rescue the little one, too, but didn't know how well both would sit on her back. Not that she'd actually had anyone ride on her back before. That would be... different.

Farlow turned her attention to the Pixie. "You wouldnt be wanted on an adventure even if there was one."She growled.

"Stop it Farlow!" Shouted Nikk "What do you want?"

Farlow turned to him and laughed once more. "I dont want anything you have. I came here with a warning. I wasnt supposed to tell you, but it's not like you can do anything about it." She walked closer to Nikk and Bia hid more behind him. "Me and a coulple of friends are starting a ritual that will turn all portal powers over to us."

It was Nikk's turn to laugh. "You know there is no way to do that."

"Crazy woman." coughed Bia. Lucky for her Farlow didnt hear.

"Yes there is and trust me when I do... Nikk Your powers and the little mutants will be the first to go." Farlows presence was starting to irritate Bia's ears. They were twitching alot. "You know that taking powers from someone in the portal means their certain death." Barked Nikk

"Of course." Farlow glared at everyone with her black eyes and dissapeared into the sky. Nikk waited till she was gone till he did anything. He turned to Bia. "Are you okay?" She nodded her head slowly. All the fun had been sucked out of her.

Teva stared after the bat-winged creature as it flew off into the sky. She still wasn't sure what, exactly, was going on. And what had the woman said about powers? Teva didn't have any, or at least, none that she knew of. Maybe not everyone had... well, whatever powers were exactly.

Of course, this didn't change the fact that the winged woman had just threatened to kill who knew how many people. "So, is this the adventure then?" she asked. "Stopping... whoever that was?"

Akino blinked slowly. "Wow...!" she breathed. "That lady has some real issues!" She fluttered up off of Teva's hand and right up to the Bia and Nikk, her hands on her hips. She was only a foot away from Nikk's face when she snapped, "Okay, you two. Explain what that lady meant! NOW!"

Elaina stretched out her wings to catch the warm updraft of air as she flew across the sky. Not that she needed much help, her feathery wings made her float anyway. They shone golden in the sunlight as flew over a large forested area. Up ahead she saw a black dot rise out of the forest and started getting bigger as it headed in her direction. Elaina stopped and floated where she was, adjusting the leather wrist guards then smoothing out her white cotton shirt and leather leggings. Her boots were comfortable leather form fitting so they wouldn't fall off whenever she flew. Her light blue hair was tied back except for her bangs that sometimes fell over her crystal blue eyes. Concentrating she tried to read this creatures intentions as it approached her. At the same time she formed a barrier around herself, you could never be too careful here. Good and evil fought all the time and an attack could come from anywhere. Glowing white skin reflected the sunlight as her power radiated and she pushed her consciousness out to the bat like creature.

Farlow saw the creature in the sky and was a little annoyed that it wasnt moving out of her way. "Watch it!" Said Farlow as she flew past her. "You have the whole sky!" She mummbled to herself.

Nikk was suprised at the fairys outburst. "There is no way she can take over all the powers of everyone in the portal it's just... impossible." Said Nikk. He was trying to clam everyone down. Bia looked up at him. "But i thought all you had to do was acess the spirit lines." Said Bia "You know the ones that connect us all to the portals and no one can see, but it gives us our powers and our life energy."

Nikk rolled his eyes and shook his head. "You would have to have the power to see the lines in the first place." He said "And even if you could see them you would have to have the power to dissconnect the lines... And that is alot of power."

Bia was jumping a little. "But Nikk!" He was getting irritated with Bia. He turned to face the crowd. "There is nothing to worry about. The girl you just saw was Farlow and he's practically harmless. She's just mad at me for something that I did ON ACCIDENT to her a long time ago." Bia was behind him shaking her head the whole time.

AKino relaxed a bit and fluttered back. "Okay, if you say it isn't serious. I just don't want to be getting into any trouble for being here randomly. I rather loath trouble." Akino shook her head and started to think about what Nikk said, her chin resting on her hand even though she was midflight. "Hm, I don't really know much about these portals. Can people really see the lines?"

Teva stepped closer to the group, following Akino. This whole experience, from becoming a centaur onward, was a little disconcerting. She remained alert, as ever, but did her best to keep her calm in light of this new information. What little there was of it.

"And what are portals, anyway?" she added. "Can they be used for travel? To go home again if we can find them? And what do you mean by powers?" And if she did manage to get home, would she be human again, or remain what she was? So many questions...

Nikk shook his head. "This world is a... portal i guess you could say." Nikk knew that no one was going to understand it. "You cant really go through them because their so small... I mean every one is born into the portal realm through a... branch like string thing and that branch keeps you connected to the power source of the realm... called portal.... like a tree you know." Bia looked at him confused. She had heard him explain it before, but this just sucked. "I can see the linesthat connect us to the portal realm, but thats my power. I dont have the ability to do anything to the lines. Just pulling one of them would just about kill me"

Bia shook her head. "You are not making any sense. I dont think anyone understands you right now." She looked at everyone and tried to answer atleast one of the questions that was asked. "Everyone in the portal has their own special powers because of the spirit lines that connect them to the earth. I can sence the presence of people that are close by. Most people have more than one power and their whole lives are finding out what they are. Its actually really fun! Thats why there are alot of adventurers out here. They are trying to find a person that can see their spirit line so they can know what powers they have. Nikk is the most accomplished and can see most spirt powers and lines." She really hoped that this was making sence to them.

Elaina watched the winged creature fly by and continue on her way. The creature had bat wings and though she had a dark aura she wasn't after Elaina. She flew on leaving Elaina alone once more in the sky. She felt others moving about in the forest below, she followed their energy and spotted them in the field the dark one had just left. Elaina kept her barrier up as she flew over them and landed on a tree branch high over the motley crew that stood in a field of flowers. They hadn't noticed her presence so she felt their auras and most of them were good and of good intention. So she felt it would be safe to introduce herself, "Hello there! Are you all in need of assistance?"

Akino gave Nikk a quizzical look. "Um, so we are all in a way connected to this world? I've heard mention that the people here have powers, but I haven't found any of mine yet." She hadn't really looked though. Akino just enjoyed being a pixie and flying around for the most part.

She looked up and jumped backwards with a flutter of wings and pixie dust as someone else landed above them in a tree. She narrowed her eyes at whoever his was. Another winged creature, but not nearly as scary as the bat girl.

"Um, hello. I don't think we need assistance..."
