Turning back to the queen, shaking he young womans head, he smirked, "there are a great deal many weaknesses. Thats the point. If he doesnt exploit them, than he plays into our hands. However I left very tantalizing bait." She pointed to areas where he had placed no troops, "This is where he will most likely attack. We will allow them in. If he enters in any of these areas, he will go with his best soldiers. They will encounter no opposition. Do you know what they will think? especially if we keep them as isolated as I intend?"
luna sighed. "maybe they would think we pose no threat so that we could close in at the last minute and only have their worst soldiers to deal with? but if im wrong, please, enlighten me."
"Very good." he nodded, "that is a very good guess." He drew himself up and reformed into a shortish man with short black hair. "We disoriented them and demolish them." He sighed and dripped a small ammount of darkness onto the map and small enemies began to attack, demonstrating the three different plans he had illustrated. "Its not perfect, but with what i have available to me."
luna watched the map with the creepy-looking shadows that seemed to be at war and looked up at valentine."and if we succeed in defeating his army? what then? do we just walk up to him and he accept defeat so easily?"
"No, thats what we leaders jobs are. After the enemeis are gone, we have to fight with valentine our selves." he shrugged and grinned. "In fact, its entirely likely he wont fight against us himself until his soldiers are all demolished. I dont even know if he thinks he needs his soldiers."
luna raised one of her perfectly plucked eyebrows. "hes so strong that he has the cockiness to think he doesnt need soldiers?"
He glances at her, "Well. yes. the even scarier thing is, well, he doesnt."
luna sighed in frustration. "well that makes me feel so much better." she looked around the room and her gaze fell on some weaponry by the door. "do we have any clue as to how long we think this war will be? my faeries are not the kind to become inpatient but they will need some answers."
He chuckled, "to be honest, until we get more data on the enemies forces, i will have to say less than a month." he shrugged. "But thats a very optimistic number. Besides, after the war comes the real battle. that could take months or even years." Standing up he began to pace slowly around the room, "there are too many unknowns at this moment accurate time tables are almost impossible. I have some idea of what hes doing but not enough to work effectively." he began to mutter to himself, shaking his head.
luna flew over and landed softly on his desk reviewing everything on the map and commiting it to memory. "thats all i needed to know. well then, now that you have my promise of peace and we have a very raw battle plan, i believe i have some buisness to attend to at my palace." she turned to leave the room and stopped at the door. she knew sym was again behind her, and smiled at valentine before she left. "if you need me, you know where to find me."
"hmn you know the spirits every were will not take lightly to this invasion..... i think i may be able to raise the spirits of wind and the earth to help us.... im assuming that the forest is lunas the same as the water is leviathons with in there respective areas... am i correct?" -is studying the map as i speak.- "hmn what if they split theyre forces in an attempt to perform the pincer moment like and tke us from behind? how do we prevent that?"
luna eventually found her way out of the city and back to the palace with sym. when they reached the gates luna turned to sym, "theres some stuff i have to do. and i have to ask you to do some things too." she led them both to her room and sit sym on her bed. "we need to worry about evacuating the city now." she paced around in front of sym and looked up. "we need to inform the faeries that they need to take cover. the women and children first. then go through to the elders and whatever faeries we have left will need to hide elsewhere....though i have no clue as to where..."her brows furrowed with worry for those valentine could not shelter in his city. "any ideas sym?" she asked.
Sym sighed. Being able to protect all those people was something she had been worrying about the entire meeting. She thought about all the children being exposed to a war of this degree and shuddered.
"We need to get everyone out of here for sure. What about... do you think we have time to equip the caves that are up the mountin? They would certainly fit everyone else, right?" She furrowed her brow, tired of coming up with medicore ideas. "I'm sorry Luna, i don't have much that's good at the moment." |
Grinning, he turned to rosalie, "the forest is too large to go around." he pointed at the only open spots he had left, "he would have to channel through here." He shrugged, "its not perfect. but then, that IS the point." he smirked and turned into a large, nordic man with a thick red beard that covered his entire face.
luna shook her head and sat down next to sym. she hugged her and sighed. "if it werent for you, i wouldnt know what to do anymore. you help me so much sym. thank you. and yes. the caves up in the mountains would be sustainable...if only for a certain amount of time...the weathe up in the mountains is harsh and faeries can only take that for so long. but it will work." she felt a little better now that they had somewhat of a plan. "its going to be ok. i have no clue how. but i know it will." she smiled. "now. to inform my faeries of this news...call upon the warriors...all of them. and have them meet in the great dining hall tonight. we have to have the faeries ready by tomorrow's eve."
- shrugs- hmn how well does he know you?
"Nowhere near as well as I know him." He smirked, "he is far too self absorbed to have ever paid attention to myself." He shook his head, "He knew me well when we where angels, but not anymore."
"good ... what are the chances that he will see through your design?" or one of his commanders?
"Oh its very likely one of his commanders might notice. however, hes never really paid any attention to them." He growls deeply, than shook his head, "otherwise we would have won the war with you overworlders." He smirked, "he never listened to my advice, why should he pay attention to anyone elses? And as long as he belives he is right, he wont be able to see any traps." Chuckling, he shook his head again, "he might be the most powerfull of angels and demons. And hes smarter than most, but hes far to predictable."
"unfortunately its his pride, he believes hes gonna win because hes so strong.... though that also worries me... even with all of our forces what if he simply overpowers us?" -sighs and shakes my head- "gah i hate war and the strife it brings to all who live"
"Now now, You think he can just overpower us?" he smirks, "I overthrew him once, and hes far more powerfull than I! My tricks last time might not work now, but that doesnt mean i cant still brew some more up."
"good to see youve got your hopes upfor this battle. well then im going to go i must explore the lake before they hit us if im to use it to my advantage, good day" -turns and stepping bak through the door i step onto the lake and sink into the surface of the water leaving not even a ripple behind to betray that i was ever there-
-resurfacing in the lake i walk to the shore my clothes dry as my hair comes undone and hangs down freely once more.- "hmn this shall be interesting" |
The leviathan rose from the lake and nodded, "Hail sister." He hissed as demons from the depths of the seas rose behind him. "I take it the master has spoken with you?"
-smiles- "in his fashion yes... do you know the plan?"
The serpent snickered "i have known the masters plan for years." It slid around her and snapped at her, "Do you understand what master asks for you?"
