Scott dropped the files off at the cheifs office. It was at point that Scott decided to do something stupid. He stood outside Meiko's office, said with a loud voice "Meiko, I love you. And I don't care who knows about it. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met."

Meiko stared at him as her eyes widen. Glared at the others who looked making them jump and hurry back to what they where doing. She open her door and pushed him in as she shut the door behind her. "Are you trying to get one of us kicked off the Unite? Scott what is wrong with that brain of yours? " She stared at him the rolled her eyes as a slight tear fell from her face. She was trying to stay emotionless but was failing. "You said we shouldn't be caught together. I was giving you what you want what is this Scott? What do you want? I don't like being played like a puppy dog."

"I thought it upset you that we kept things private. Besides, since the riot, I have been sick of living in the dark when it comes to my love for you. I want to be open with you about everything."

Mieko stared at him as she crossed her arms and tried to decided if he was speaking the truth. After a while she walked to him and wrapped her arms around him as she kissed him. She gently pulled back smiling as she put her finger on his lips. "That is enough from you now. Come on lets get out of here and you can tell me everything. I love you Scott and I don't care who knows it either."

Scott put his arm around Meiko as they walked to the car. After they got to Scott's apartment, Scott took out the bottle of wine.

Meiko went to the cabinet and pulled out two wine glasses as she went and seat on the couch. She shook her head not believing how the day had turned out. She knew that they would have to face the cheif. She wandered how it would end.

Scott sat next to Meiko and pourd wine into the glasses. He raised his glass in a toast. "Well, here's to us. I love you Meiko."

Meiko blushed at his words as she raised hers with his. She smiled slightly as she looked at him. "I love you to scott...I don't if you are a cyborg that is just your body not your heart or soul."

"And I know that your not just some killer. You have a heart and feelings."

Meiko laughed as she took a sip of the wine. "mmm good choice I must say."

"Thanks. 20 year old wines taste the best." There was a knock at the door. Scott got up to answer it.

Meiko's eyes shifted to the door as she placed her drink down. She wandered who it was.

Scott opend the door, but there was no one there. Scott looked down and saw a briefcase. He scanned it with his x-ray vision and saw that it was a bomb, with 2 seconds left on the timer. "Meiko get down!" Scott shouted as he dove ontop of the briefcase just as it exploded.

Meiko dropped to the floor then looked up as she ran to the door looking for scott. "Scott!" She yelled a bit blind from the blast. She hadn't dropped down fast enough to miss explotion compleatly. She felt blood dripping from her as she moved about the rubble of what had been his adpartment. All she could think of was finding him.

Scott stood up. His left arm had been blown off, and a gapeing hole was where his chest used to be. He was delierious. He found purrman unharmed and scooped him up. He then cried out for Meiko. "Meiko! Where are you!"

Meiko yelled out his name as she stumbled about feeling her way about the rubble. This wasn't the first time she had been blind she kept clam knowing that if she panicked it would only get worse.

Scott finally found Meiko. Meiko! Your bleeding, we have to get you to a hospital. Climb on my back." Scott helped Meiko onto his back, then made his way downstairs just as the medics were arriveing.

Meiko held onto him not sure what was going on by no. She had lost to much blood to care about the sounds she heard. The last things she heard was him saying her name before she blacked out.

They arrived at the hospital. Scott had his arm re-attached and chest fixed. Scott was glad that he was built for combat. Purrman slept in his lap while he waited for any news on Meiko. A doctor approached him. "Well doctor, is she ok? Will she make it?"

Meiko drifted in and out of realty. She didn't know what was wrong she couldn't feel anything she could barley hear things. She knew people where calling her name but she couldn't respond to them though she wanted too. She tired to open her eyes but couldn't.

The doctor gave Scott the news. Scott asked to see Meiko. He was led to her room. Scott Took her hand. "Meiko? it's me, Scott. I just got done talking with the doctor. You were very badly hurt. If you can hear me, please say something."

Meiko tired to open her eyes again to look at him but couldn't. She couldn't feel her body to move it. She felt like her soul was just trapped in the vessel. She screamed in her mind out his name. All that escaped from her was a sort scot.

Scott could see that there was no other way. He went to the doctor. "If it means saving her life, make her into a cyborg. Just make sure that she still looks the same, not like me."

Meiko screamed as she felt as if she was being ripped from her vessel. This was not what was suppose to happen. It was only a small bomb why was she stuck here why couldn't see moved or feel her body. What was happening why did it feel like she was being ripped from her body. Meiko screamed as she open her eyes as saw water. She closed them again then open them trying to figure out why her vision was foggy and why there was water. She looked at her arm and saw tubs from it. What was happening she couldn't feel anything where was Scott she wandered as men in white shuts staring at charts then at her.

Scott watch from behind a window, as he was not allowed in the room. He could tell by her movements that Meiko's new body had been activated.
