Elidi, Daughter of Sun "Good morning to you too, little rascal!" Elidi said and ruffled his hair and then looked at him thoughtfully. "You know, I think what you need is a hug. Am I right?" She said and smiled and she glowed a little brighter, determined to reassure the boy. Her long hair framed her face like a curtain made of gold, and her sunny eyes were watchful and observant. She breathed deeply and out of the corner she saw a movement. Knowing that her brother hated to be disturbed. Elidi smiled as Louis took her hand but that smile faded when he said those words. She stared at him. "I just... wanted to tell you how worried I am. I am so scared." She whispered in a hush voice and enclosed them both in a hug. She managed to suppress tears but she was telling the truth. "We can't stay long. And I'm so sorry. I really am. And I just want everyone to be alright." She kissed Shay's forehead and pulled her face into a happier expression. "Just be careful, alright?" |
Shay nodded and smiled at his sister. “I will be careful and if anything happens I will just blow them up.” He said as if it was okay to blow up bad people. He then hugged her tighter as he thought of all the humans who want to hurt them and didn’t want them to hurt her. She was nice, she was the best and he certainly didn’t want anything to happen to her.
“And don’t worry; you don’t have to be afraid. I will protect you.” He said as he smiled at her and determination burned in his eyes like the sun use to do. He would do anything for anyone and especially his sister. He would protect her till the day that he died and he would make sure that the humans never hurt her or his other brothers and sisters. He then looked at Louis; “want to go play now?” he asked and made sure that he kept his emotions to a minimum. He didn’t want to hurt him again and hopefully he wouldn’t. |
"Its fine sister," Louis said cheerily, "We will be extra careful but Shay speaks rightly, there is little any human can do to us i would think. But still we will be carefull to ease sisters mind, yes?"
Smiling at her as reassuringly and patted her hand a bit, and let go happily. Turning to Shay on a dime, he giggled and slung his arms around his brother's shoulders so that his body dragged behind. Giggling again, he let go and kept on running in the same direction he had taken earlier. "You are still it!" He laughed and turned to his sister, "We can find disguises later sister! But for now play with us! It will ease your mind!" |
Elidi, Daughter of Sun Elidi nodded and closed her eyes. "Play? No... I've got to look for some food. Off you go, brothers. But don't go too far!" She called after them. She smiled and sat on the floor and watched the Earth crack and little sprouts shoot out where she touch the soil with her nuturing hands. She breathed slowly and thought backwards, let the whole knowledge of the universe flow through her mind. All of time was her's to know and all that knowledge... it was really amazing and so scary at the same time. She could see it all... Elidi lay down on the floor and looked up into the emptyness of the sky and waited and thought. |
Shay looked at her sister and smiled. “Fine, but you will have to come and play later.” She said and smiled at her happily. He then took off after Louis and laughed slightly. But as soon as that laugh was out he heard an explosion off in the distance and shut him mouth. He had to keep his emotions down all of them.
He continued to run after Louis and soon caught up to him. He tapped him on the back and skidded to a halt. “Your it.” He said with some happiness in his voice and took off in a random direction. He wasn’t going to let him get him. |
In watching His siblings, Vesper found himself make his way to them. Pushing a strand of hair from his face. He walked up to Elidi. Looking down as she touched the ground. Creating new life with just the touch of her hands. He did not understand while the humans hated them. If they would only watch some of the things they could do. What his sister right now was doing. Even though he had scene it many times, it entertained him every time.
"There is a small town that way" Vesper told her. Knowing what he had in mind would have different from her own. Vesper as notorious for just taking food his siblings would need. He did not care either. They needed it. He shook a bit again. His chilliness getting to him again. Even breathing out, Vesper created a small cold cloud. One usually only scene in winter. |
Louis pouted at his loss and turned on a dime, chasing after his brother as fast as his young legs could carry him, which wasnt all that fast to be honest. As he chased him his adrenaline began to fill him up. It was a wonderful feeling, one he had experienced on his first day when he was running from humans. He hadnt been able to rid himself of the bittersweet feeling since. It was both joy and fear, but now he was doing the chasing. This was pure fun.
Finding an open getaway for his brother up ahead, Louis took the oportunity and used his powers. Using his mind he quickly found a random large object, in this case an old couch that was just lying about, and flipped it over, effectively blocking his exit. Proud of himself, Louis jumped over and poked Shay on the shoulder. "Your it!" He giggled. Another bit of cold went up his spine suddenly, stronger than before. But he pushed it away again, not wanting to ruin the fun. |
Shay laughed and started to run after him but then stopped in his tracks. He saw eyes watching them like they where prey and they where the predator. It scared him more then anything else and he could feel small particles around him starting to explode from the small amount of fear he was letting out. He then looked over at Louis and shook his head.
“Louis stop, something doesn’t feel right.” He said as he looked at his brother and knew that he was going to ruin there fun. But he couldn’t help it. He was too afraid to continue to play and he didn’t want to lose control. He didn’t want to explode a tree or town. He didn’t want to hurt anyone. |
"You feel the wrongness too?" He asked curiously and moved closer to his brother, sensing his distress. He could feel the extra warmth coming from around his brother as his emotions buzzed and the air crackled around him as the particles exploded. Touching one shoulder to his brother to try and give him some comfort, he turned his eyes to the way they had came.
"The world is darker that way," he said and pointed to where they had came from earlier. He shivered and pressed himself closer still to his sibling, the fact that there may not be light there frightening him horribly. |
Shay looked at Louis and nodded, "we need to go back. I want to be near everyone else." he said and gulped down his fear. He needed to stay in control he didn't want to make his brother explode. He smiled when he felt his brother touch his shoulder to his and looked at him. he was glad to have a brother like him and smiled a little bit.
He then stuck a hand out and his palm up. He let some emotion out and particles in his hands started to explode and some light started to form. "Come on, lets go back." he said as he looked at his brother and wanted to get back to the others right away. |
Elidi, Daughter of Sun Elidi sat up and stared at her brother. She saw that he was shivering... and she couldn't help but feel sorry for him. "I suppose you're right. Shall we go together?" She asked softly and stood up. She pushed her long hair out of her face with a with routined movement and sighed. "I am so tired, Vesper... tired of starving but just waking up again." She said softly. "You're cold, aren't you?" She whispered and sighed. "Why... why must we be here? No way bac no way forth..." She said and stopped. There it was. That feeling. "Louis... Shay!" She cried out, the wind carrying their names and jumbling the letters. "We should go..." She started to glow brighter than usual, urging her brothers to find the way back, the way to safety. ((Good night everyone, it's getting late in England. Night! )) |
((Night then! ^-^ Haha drat! I thought Vesper was Stygian XD Sorry!))
Louis ran back to his siblings quickly and buried himself into Elidi's dress. He sighed, happy to be back where there was light. Taking a minuet to calm down, he sighed. After a few seconds he looked back to make sure that Shay was there before turning to his brother and sister with embarrassment. Pulling away he looked down sheepishly and wimpered. "It was dark..." He explained quietly, not proud of his cowardice at all. Looking back to where they had been playing, he shivered and scooted closer to the light of his sister. |
Vesper nodded. "it would probably be better. More hands to carry things. He felt his sister's sadness and gave her a hug. "It will get better. Humans are afraid of things they do not understand..." He said letting her go. Knowing even his touch was cold to her. He did not answer her though, it being obvious. He was always cold. I did not matter the situation. He felt it suddenly, and without even crossing his mind, was about to run out to his siblings. They soon came back to camp though. Hugging the knees of Elidi. He let out a heavy sigh of relief. "What happened?" He asked them both. In a low voice.
((Lol, I play them both^^ I think Stygian will be in black though or some shade of gray.)) ((night night!)) |
Shay quickly ran over and grabed two hand fulls of his sisters dressed. He buried his face into her dress and stayed like that. He had to calm down and this usually did the trick for him. He then looked up at his sister and nodded. "yes, very dark and bad feeling." he said softly.
He hated that feeling like he was vulnerable and was about to be attacked. It made him feel naked and like everyones eyes where on him. He kept his hands in her dress and stayed close to her. he wasn't going to leave her light again. he didn't want to make things explode like that again. He wished that he could just make everyone understand that he wanted friends and to be happy and to be himself. He didn't want to be this person who was always afraid that he might hurt someone. But that was hard since many people wanted to hurt him and no one liked him besides his family. ((night)) |
((Ok. Honestly i didnt even know you were playing a sun child XD Very tricky))
"It was dark," He said again and looked up at his older brother. Bowing his head apologetically he took a step closer to him, he looked very lonely to him as he often kept a distance between the other children due to his heat problem. Louis looked up at him apologetically and took his hand despite the cold. He shivered visibly but did not pull away. "Im sorry if we made you worry," he said sincerely, "We were scared, im sorry im not braver" |
Adelaide
Adelaide nodded at Elidi, indicating that she would be fine. She turned and found a place to prop, where she could watch her siblings play. They were a beautiful shining lot and she felt the familiar pangs of tenderness and jealousy whenever she watched them. She stayed at camp and waited for their return, trying to organize their belongings and clean their clothes as best she could. They came tromping back to camp, scared and whimpering. Adelaide's concern was raised as she listened to them. "You've got to be more careful!" Adelaide called over her shoulder, while she tried to sew a patch on a worn dress. The needle kept pricking her skin and making her hiss. |
Vesper pulled his hand away, shoving it back into his pocket. He did not want to make his brother freeze. He breathed out slowly. A small smile formed on the corners of his mouth. Disappearing soon after.
"Do not be sorry. Just be more careful." Vesper told the two boys. Sometimes he felt like a parent. Knowing they all sort of took a rank like system based on personality. Vesper wondered who truly was the oldest. It did not matter though. "You did the right thing, coming right back" Vesper told him, "Elidi, you stay here. I'll go get food. Alright?" he told her. Not really waiting for an answer. |
Louis frowned at his brothers reaction to holding his hand. Hurt by the sudden change in his brothers attitude, Louis bowed his head solemnly and tryed his best not to bother him. He let out a long, thoughtful sigh as he tried to figure out exactly what he had done to anger him. He was positive it was because they had run back from the dark. It had to be. Of course, It didnt occur to him that his brother was trying to make him more comfortable. After all he had been the one to mess up. Hadnt he?
"We will be careful...right brother?" He said and looked to Shay, head still bowed to his chest. |
Adelaide
Adelaide giggled at Vesper, playing parent, and Louis and Shay always acted like the babies. It was silly. They were all just children who had only been alive for three days and they had already built this ridiculous hierarchy, mimicking the humans. She thought it was quite funny that everyone had their roles. But as usual, she wasn't sure where she fit or what her role was. "Where are you going for food,Vesper?" Adelaide asked quietly. "Cause if you're gong around the humans, I can help." Adelaide was the only one of her brothers and sisters that could pass for human. She hated that she wasn't as lovely as her siblings, but there were times when her plainness could be useful. |
At the sound of the word food Shays belly growled and he sat down. "I am hungery." he whinned and something exploded rightin his mouth. That made him jump and he quickly stoped whinning. He wanted food but had to keep his emotions down. He knew that he was acting like a child but how was he suppose to act. If he really wanted to he knew he could be more like a adult but kids where fun.
"can we look for food?" he asked since he couldn't stop thinking about food right now and that only made him even hungeryer. |
"Im hungry too," Louis said, raising his had up like a child waiting to be called on by his teacher. His head was still lowered submissively to his 'older' siblings, but his eyes darted between the two of them excitedly. He wanted to go with them badly. Even if it meant leaving Elidi and the light she created, he was ok with the dark if they where with him. Besides, he was still looking for adventure. At the same time a prang of fear came into him at the thought of encountering someone other than their family.
"Are you going out with the humans? I dont want to leave you two alone with them. They are a great wrongness to us," He said anxiously. |
"Just the town the west. You may come" Vesper said turning to Adelaide. He looked around at the others. He felt bad having to tell them to stay, but they were just dangerous around humans. Shay worried him the most at times. One wrong move from a human, and they were gone. He did hear Louis speak. Just choose not to answer. Not wanting to purposely upset the boy any further. Though not saying anything was probably just as bad... He closed his eyes and turned back to Adelaide.
"Let's go Ade" He said starting to walk. He gave a small wave to everybody. Being careful not to step on those still sleeping. |
Shay nearly cheer when they said food but quickly stoped himself. If he cheered something bad would happen and he didn't want that. Instead he nodded, "lets go then, I am starving." he said and walked over to Louis and smiled. He couldnt' wait till food and if the humans tryed to hurt them he would just blow them up.
"yes, food." he said as he thought of tasting some apples and other things. He couldn't wait and wanted to eat anything he oculd get his hands on. |
Adelaide
Adelaide nodded at Vesper. She fell in step behind him, watching her feet. Her hands rubbed up and down the wounds on her arms, almost mindlessly. She was nervous. While she could easily pass for human, she hated the simple creatures passionately. They always seemed to be slow, stupid and ignorant. She hated the humans, but in ways she fit among them. She lacked powers and she was plain, like a human. The idea of encountering someone along their quick jaunt flitted into her mind. She stopped fiddling with her scarred arms and pulled the long knife from the back sheaf. The knife was embarrassingly large and Adelaide really had no idea how to properly use it, but the bright blade made her feel better. A noise cracked into the darkness and she spun quietly. "Did you hear that?" she asked Vesper. Adelaide was always the one terrified of shadows and creaks. |
Louis sighed and held out a hand to stop Shay. He looked to him sadly and frowned.
"Brother does not want us with him," he said remorsefully and watched the pair make their way to get food, "We shall stay here...But brother acts rightly, Humans do not like us. They can be a great wrongness. But they do not like us especially." Sighing, Louis plopped onto the ground and waited, making a few pebles and rocks around him orbit out of sheer boredom. |
