~The Seven Children of the Sun~ Humans needed! Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Romance, Literate, Open and ACCEPTING
Introduction They say that the sky is blue because the atmosphere makes it look blue. Maybe it does. But I believe that the sky is blue because it chooses to be so. But I’m getting ahead of myself. I was born the day the Sun died. Well, not born, but I appeared along with six others. Children of the Sun they called us. People feared us. They said we were responsible for the death of the Sun. But they were wrong. We were the consequence of the Sun dying. We were pulled from the realms of abomination into this foul world where people feared our eyes that shone with the last rays of Sun, and our heads filled with the knowledge of the Universe and the things that the Sun had seen, our hearts of storm, and ice and flame. We had been in the dark, and the despair of death. We couldn't see, we couldn't smell but we felt that something was there... in the darkness... something was waiting. We were alone. So alone, and yet... we knew that our siblings were there but we were alone. And the Sun went out and we ripped from the dark and pushed through dimensions, parallel universes, and Time and Space into this World. Earth, year 5142. And the Sun... has died. |

Let the events unfold and the story... grow! You may begin to tell the story of the day that the Sun died! |
Elidi, Daughter of Sun Elidi awoke with a start, her chest heaving. She looked around herself in the light that she emitted. A little flower had grown, in desperate search of light and had found Elidi's nuturing rays. She smiled softly and ran a finger over the delicate petals. Even though she knew that her siblings were close by she felt so alone. It was like being back in the darkness... she shuddered and tried to push away that thought. "Brothers? Sisters?" She whispered enquiringly and pushed herself into a sitting position. Elidi had thought that the Sun would never go out, and for the first time she had been wrong. She thought back to the journey through time, space and dimensions. The feeling of being pulled and pushed through every aspect of life, only to be dumped apon a planet so full of hatred, and war, and dirt and all things foul seemed like a great waste of time for her. She considered that if the humans had never evolved... then the Earth wouldn't be in such trouble, she concluded. Today seemed to take her a while to get on track. Three days old... She thought and traced a pattern in the dirt at her feet. Feet which were glad in broken sandals. Her dress once whiter than snow was stained by mud, and sand and blood. |
"Good morning!" Came a delightful little chirp from somewhere behind Elidi. The young boy smiled up at her cheerily drawing some simple paintings on the dead soil beneath him. His honey brown eyes sparkled as he met her warm radiance and his smile brightened with it. Giggling a bit, Louis pulled himself up from the dirty floor, ruining his little creations in the process. But he felt no remorse in doing so.
Skipping on naked feet, he wrapped his young arms around his sister and planted a kiss on her cheek for no particular reason. Letting go after soaking in some of her warmth happily he giggled and skipped around her as he walked. "What are we doing today? I want to go play! Will you play with me big sister!?" The boy chimed in his usual bell like voice. In his excitement, a few small rocks began to dance around his feet happily, the dust falling off of them, making them shimmer as they orbited around him. Louis took no mind though and continued to skip around her unaware of anything but his own excitement. |
Adelaide
Elidi's soft glow forced Adelaide's eyes open. Adelaide shook her head and turned from the light. The events of the last few days come fllooding back to her as they did every time she awoke. Every time she regained consciousness from a deep sleep, Adelaide could feel the blood dripping down her arm, could see the light closing in tightly and could hear the rushing in her ears. She clenched her eyes tightly closed and forced the memories away. Adelaide pushed up from where she was laying and watched her siblings play. Louis and Elidi were awake and Louis seemed to be in a good mood. Adelaide groaned imagining how she would have to listen to his chipper chatter all day. Adelaide stood and rubbed the cuts on her arms. The seemed to be slowly healing, her skin re-knitting and the tendons stretching. Coming into existence had been different for Adelaide the for the others. She had to die into life. Adelaide let her fingers dance over the soon-to-be scars and walked towards her siblings. "Is it morning?" she asked, her voice hoarse from sleeping. |
Out of no where Shay tackled the boy. "I want to play, I want to play." he said with a bright and cheerful smile. He looked as care free as a butterfly but as he looked at his brother the rocks around his feet started to burst into flames and Shay quickly jumped up and away from his brother.
“sorry.” Shay said softly and backed away slightly. This happened all the time when he got to happy, things exploded. It was dangerous for him to be around anyone and not have control over his powers. It was like waiting for a bomb to explode anywhere and everywhere and he was the detonator. After a few minutes he looked at his brother and smiled. He finally had his emotions in control and looked at him. “I would still like to play though.” He said and his voice held little emotion. He had to keep it like that or else he might hurt someone and he didn’t want to hurt anyone. Not unless they where going to cause him harm and those who caused him harm where the people on this planet who didn’t understand him at all. |
Louis squealed in pain as one of the hot rocks brushed his skin, leaving a tiny burn mark. Tears formed in his eyes as he slumped to the ground and rubbed the spot as it began to swell slightly. It was nothing serious, but it was still enough to hurt.
Looking up at his brother with a pout, he made his way to his feat. Puffing up his chest and doing his very best to give him a convincing glare, Louis marched forward and stared down his brother untill he was only an inch from his face. Then, suddenly, he pushed Shay to the ground. Giggling as his brother hit the dirt, he pulled up his dirty brown hoodie and smiled. "Your it!" He declared and ran off in no particular direction, completely forgetting that his foot hurt. |
Elidi, Daughter of Sun Elidi smiled at the childishness of her brother. "Calm down, Louis." She said but she laughed her tinkling laugh and enclosed her brother in a tight hug. "Well first of all we have to get some disguises. The humans know what we look like now, and we need to find something to eat." She spoke gently. "But we can go play, if you wish it." She said and watched him skip around like he had no worry in his own little world. She turned at the sound of her sister's voice. She spread out her arms. "Morning. Heh, I don't know if this world will experience Sun rise again." She lowered her voice as she said this. She didn't want to worry the other two. "How are you feeling? Are you alright?" The blood... it was etched in Elidi's mind and she had almost lost her sister... Elidi turned and saw what had happened between the two, worry slipping on to her pretty face. But it was gone as soon as it had appeared and she smiled, trying to make it seem alright. "Shay, Louis, come here a second, please." She said gently and smiled at the two. She could see the burn mark. "Please?" She asked again. |
Shay slowly got up off of the ground and walked over to his sister. He made sure to keep his emotions in check since he didn't feel like blowing things up now. He soon stood next to her and smiled slightly. He didn't dare do a full blown smile or else he would blow something up.
"yes sister, what is it?" he asked as he looked at her straight in the eyes. He felt like she was going to yell at him for hurting Louis but it wasn't his fault. it was his powers. They always acted up when he was happy, sad or any other kind of emotion he was feeling. That was why he had to stay calm, cool and collected |
The sounds of voices caught his ears. Making the sleeping male shift a bit. He kept his eyes closed, bot wanting to be bothered at first. It was dark still in his mind. Still a very quiet night with the low mutter of Shay's music filling the air. He moved his coat blamket up a bit more. Covering himself from the chill in the air. It was really warm out. Vesper was just always cold. It did not matter how hot it was outside. At least the past three days had been pretty mild. He shivered a bit. Now awake. Just fighting his need to get up. Louis's voice shook Vesper's ears a bit. His voice was just one of those.... one you did not want to hear at first in the morning. Vesper groaned a bit. Hearing more of his siblings starting to shift in their sleep. Adelaide being the next so far. She was much quieter, then again she was one of the farthest from him. Vesper then jumped up.
"Shay..." He muttered, rubbing his eyes. knowing no one heard him. He slipped on his long coat and looked over. Seeing Louis get up. Tagging Shay. He sighed, laying back down in the dirt. The rocks on fire turned blue as Vesper chilled them. Open fire and tag was a very dangerous combo. He waited a few more seconds before getting up. Not even five minutes of being up, and two people were hurt. This was going to be a great day. |
Louis giggled as he herd his sisters voice and turned back on a dime, practically floating over to her. Coming to a stop in front of her, he smiled and took her hand affectionately. As he stood, his toes never stopped wiggling and his eyes couldnt seem to keep their focus on anything. His energy was too vast at this hour to stand still for long.
"Yes?" he chirped happily. Looking over his shoulder at Shay he giggled and stuck his tong out playfully. His smile faded a bit then and a shiver crawled up his spine. Something inside of him was telling him that there was an unhappiness just outside of their view. 'It just became darker somewhere,' He thought, but quickly pushed the thought aside. The present was more important that a feeling. So he turned his mind back to his sister and waited happily for her to speak. |
