Kisha smiled, a laugh barely muffled. "Believe me, your having a much easier time with this then I did." The smile was lost for a moment then she smiled when Kay helped him. "That should help." She looked at Kay. "That was stupid you know. Even if you are human, that's no excuse." She grinned, pale green eyes sparkling slightly. Then she removed Kiryns hold on her, letting him be by himself to try out the new weight.

Kry 02-11-2010 03:57 AM

He blinked..what was Kay doing? He shivered a bit when she walked around behind him..those tattered wings twitching slightly. When she settled the make-shift satchel on his back he had winced slightly. It might help..but then..it didn't feel quite right..the weight was a bit off. Kiryn bit his bottom lip and let go of Kisha's arm. Before he even took his first step he teetered and fell backwards his arms going out, flailing at his sides to catch onto something, anything to stop him from falling onto the makeshift satchel. Fingers just barely grazed Kisha's arm as he fell, wincing and grunting a bit.

The tattered remains of his wings were a bright red now. Clearly the fairy was embarrassed. "....It's not helping..." He stated rather flatly. His arms flailing around a bit as he tried to get up.

cedura 02-11-2010 04:00 AM

Kay ran to him and quickly got the satchel off... "Im so sorry! I thought the extra weight would make up for what was missing~! Would it help if we made it lighter, or is it just all wrong?" Kay felt really bad.

kionaredhawk 02-11-2010 04:01 AM

Kisha bit back a laugh but she helped hold him up and held him until it was fixed. "Try it with less weight?"

Staria 02-11-2010 04:07 AM

Ceri glanced towards Kry sighing softly. Seeing him fall like that… it made her feel…bad… So she did the only thing she could as he waved his arms.. She used a similar telekinetic spell as she’d used on him before…but this time to simply gently raise him to his feet.

Ceri then hobbled over on her makeshift crutch, summoning a similar one but more cane like after picking up a seed to summon it from. With that she would hold it out to him, simply watching him. She couldn’t break eye contact or the spell would fail and he’d fall.. “Okay sweetheart…Lean on this…” She said simply, waiting for him to take it with her eyes on his.

Kry 02-11-2010 04:15 AM

Kiryn felt..well..he wasn't sure how to describe how he felt. Honestly, he had never felt like this before. So useless and something else..maybe lost..that was a good term for it. He felt useless and lost. But the girls had helped him up and Kay had taken the satchel thingy. "It's all wrong...Everything is ALL wrong.." Kiryn was frowning deeply, though he was relieved almost, when Ceri raised him to his feet. Watching her curiously as she summoned or made him a cane-like crutch thing.

He looked away as he took it. Mumbling a ".Thank you." He leaned on the cane, turning his head so none of them could see his face. His tattered wings still that red that betrayed his embarrassment.

kionaredhawk 02-11-2010 04:18 AM

Kisha sighed. "I hate to do this but we really, really need to get going." One of her hands held the top of her sword. "I don't feel right staying here. Lyre mentioned people who would help. Let's start there."

cedura 02-11-2010 04:29 AM

Kay walked over to him and gently laid a hand on his arm. "Kiryn, I may have never lost a body part, and I certainly have never had wings to lose, but I do know what it feels like when everything feels wrong. It feels the the whole world was flipped upside down and you forgot to flip with it. Everything is wrong, everything seems wrong and backwards. Your whole thinking must be re organized to make sense of it all. Its confusing. It makes you feel lost, disoriented...... its how I felt when I first arrived here...." She stood there for a moment longer her eyes trying to see into him, so that she might help him better. And then she dropped her hand.

"I agree with you all that we cannot stay here tonight. We only have a few hours of daylight left. Lyre, I am sure your friends would be willing to help, but can we risk endangering them? Personally I dont want to risk anymore lives than we already have." She looked at Kiryn again.
"After what that demon said, about the men you led in battle, and how it wanted to show your Queen equal misery.... That thing probably thinks you are dead Kiryn, or it knows it failed and wants to get even with you too." She let her words sink in a moment before continuing. "I think, having failed here, it will go after your queen next. I can't be certain, but if I were a scary scorpion lady who just had all my plans thwarted by a queen worshiping fairy warrior, I would deffinetly go for the queen to weaken the warrior. We just have to figure out how to stop that demon first." That was as far as Kay had worked things in her head. She was so tired and just wanted to rest, but she knew they had to be somewhere safe before any of them could sleep with any surety.

Staria 02-11-2010 04:33 AM

Awww… Isn’t he cute when he’s embarrassed?” Ceri teased, smirking to herself. She seemed to be enjoying his wing blush as much as Kay’s cheek blushes…. Resulting in her laughing as she usually did. She then glanced to Kisha as she spoke, nodding and for a moment becoming serious once more. She was right of course…

As Kay spoke Ceri couldn’t help but smile, reaching over to pat her shoulder teasingly. “You might just learn how to wield that blade yet…” She said in lieu of praise. With that she ran a hand through her own hair, feeling dizzy from her earlier blood loss for a moment but quickly suppressing it. She would make it somewhere….but where…

kionaredhawk 02-11-2010 04:41 AM

Kisha listened as both Kay and Ceri spoke, nodding most of the way. She leaned over to Kiryn and whispered in his ear, "I know how you feel, what it's like to lose a piece of yourself but I promise, even though it will take time, it will get better. Just take it easy. And really, I swear I flopped around like a fish when I first lost my tail." She smiled softly.

((Its time for bed for me. Sleep well everyone when you get there, if you get there....:P night!!!))

((ZoMg~! An event~! I know alot of people like to participate in the Events to get the currencies and things, and I know this thread also will allow for currency earnings ^_^ Just to remind everyone (not that you would EVER do this, please do not double post or spam post in the RP just to get currency ^_^....... ))

Kay had smiled when Ceri had poked fun at Kiryn a bit, she was glad to see Ceri's jests were made on behalf of everyone. But when Ceri once again started to tease at Kay, she screwedd up her face. "Ceri..... Careful now, I may learn how to use it, but I might forget myself and stick it in the wrong person" Kay winked at her, just to be sure Ceri knew she was kidding. She was glad everyones mood was beggining to lighten. They had all been under so much stress. Now they just had to get moving, From what Kay had already learned about Time in Underhill, she estimated that the best sunlight would be gone in 3 hours best, and it would be full dark in four. She wanted time to find a safe place, and scout for demons before they settled down for rest. She also knew that they would have to move slow because of Ceri and Kiryn, she didnt want to push them too hard. She also knew she was weaker than she ackowleged herself to be. She felt fine know because of her adrenaline rush, but pretty soon she would crash, and she knew that.

((The Event Items are calling to me.... *dances off to look at the new pretties*))

((*Edit* I also (finally) made an OOC chat for us all.... the link is in my siggy))

Kiryn frowned deeply when Kay mentioned that the Queen could be in danger. His brow furrowed and he leaned heavily on that crutch that Ceri had conjured for him. He was silent, the silence almost a brooding but thoughtful silence. His Queen could be in danger, they would have to hurry...perhaps a message could be sent, but then..they would have to find someone or some creature that could take a message to the Queen. He only half listened as the others talked and poked fun at one another. Something had to be done and quickly.

Staria 02-14-2010 10:10 PM

“I’m hurt not dead sweetheart, who says you could catch me?” Ceri responded to Kay’s joke with a smirk. For a moment she stuck out her tongue at her before turning to Kiryn. She could see he was upset…and unfortunately she knew why… The queen. She wasn’t looking forward to be near that court…a court which had fondness for neither witches or demons…

She walked over towards him, however, her body already recovered enough as far as the back wounds went that she could do so relatively quickly though her leg still had a hole through it. She put a hand on his shoulder, leaning forward so her dark hair covered her face a little bit. “You worrying ?” she asked quietly, her gaze on the ground .

After listening silently for a while Lyre pushed off the tree he had been leaning on, "I suggest we start moving then." he murmured, "The sooner we get out of here the sooner we can help anyone who needs it." He kept his eyes trained on the trees surrounding the clearing, refusing to meet eyes with anyone. Yes, the sooner they started moving the sooner he could start teaching Kay and then he'd have less of a burden and then maybe he could leave with no regrets.

((uhh....yea, I have no idea what to type so...this is what you get ^^))

kionaredhawk 02-18-2010 05:09 AM

Kisha looked at Lyre as he spoke, then nodded. "I agree. The longer we're here, the quicker that demons going to catch up. We can discuss further where we're to go while we're moving. I don't quite like the idea of putting others in harms way as well." She looked at everybody there and smiles a little bit. "Let's go."

cedura 02-18-2010 05:27 AM

Kay gather up the sheet full of stuff and slung it over her shoulders. She looked once more at the collapsed house and then at everyone around her. She had no idea where they would go, or if they would even make it. But she was ready. She heard Kisha say "Lets go." and nodded her agreement.

Aoi Kazuya 02-18-2010 05:55 AM

Lyre gave a curt nod and then started forward, following an internal map, one he'd perfected over time. Hopefully the dwarves wouldn't mind helping them out for a bit. Just until they all had time to recollect their thoughts and refuel. Then they'd be off again, probably to see the Queen. Kiryn would probably wish for that. If that was it then the whole trip would take at least a couple of days. He mentally started listing all the things he would need to teah Kay in that space of time. He would not see the Queen. He doubted that he would be allowed into the castle anyway, not with his unstable condition.

Kry 02-18-2010 03:00 PM

Kiryn had looked at Ceri for a moment, sighed and turned his head away. The Queen would need to be protected, he would have to see her...but..how could he face her like this? Was he even really a fairy anymore? He chewed that bottom lip and when the others all decided they should start moving Kiryn remained silent. When Lyre started moving, he fell into step behind him. Struggling only a little to keep his balance and using that cane that Ceri had summoned for him. The tattered gossamer ribbons that hung from his back twitched slightly and he winced just a little bit.

Staria 02-18-2010 05:47 PM

Ceri knew very little of the dwarves, not having spent a lot of time with them, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. They wouldn’t know her as her mothers daughter and just as Ceri… though knowing her that wasn’t necessarily that much better. She suppressed a chuckle at the thought, an action made easier as she saw Kiryn so upset…

She’d began to like the company of the silly courtly fairy so seeing him like this…was worrisome. Reaching over she squeezed his shoulder, offering him a subtle smile before turning and walking forward again with her own hands at her sides. She was frowning a little, worried about her mother showing up….with all of them spent and wounded...

cedura 02-19-2010 12:07 AM

Kay took up the rear of their party. She was more than glad too though, she wanted to keep an eye on Kiryn and Ceri, and she knew the farther they walked they heavier the pack was going to feel. She was beyond exhausted and the energy boost she had gotten from her "heroics" in the house was quickly wearing off. She felt like she had put on a good show for the others though, sounding strong, confident and resolute. She did not want to be pegged as the weakest in the group, she did not want to be seen as the one that would hold them back. I cant be weak anymore she thought as they passed under the trees. Thanks to the Blade, she knew she was capable of being strong, she had, after all stabbed one of the hearts in the scorpion woman. She was reflecting on the battle, re-playing it in her mind when her foot caught a root. She stumbled forward but caught herself before she hit the ground, dropping the pack in the proccess. Im so tired... I have to pay better attention to where I am putting my feet, next time it might be something worse than a root I kick. She reshouldered the pack and looked up. The others were several yards ahead of her now, and she hurried to catch up, cursing her overall humaness along the way.

kionaredhawk 02-19-2010 12:19 AM

Kisha stopped when Kay stumbled and she watched her as she picked herself up and started to hurry to the others. She walked beside her, slightly worried. She said low, so as the other wouldn't hear her, "Kay, you seem exhausted. Are you sure you can carry that pack?" Her eyes were a dark forest green with concern.

cedura 02-19-2010 06:05 PM

Defiance flared in Kay's eyes. She knew Kisha was just concerned, but Kay felt like she had to prove something, not to anyone in particular, mainly to herself. She had to prove she could be as strong as the others, despite her humanness... She new no one had ever questioned her ability, but she still felt like she had to prove it. "I can carry it," Kay said. She hd tried to sound tough when she said it, but she knew the sounds of exhaustion had come out with the words too. Only a couple more hours till dark. I can make it.

Staria 02-19-2010 06:42 PM

Ceri’s ear flickered towards the group as she heard them talk, frowning a little. She knew Kay was exhausted…but she also knew that it was best to keep moving. The last thing they needed was to be found by her mother when half of them could barely walk…Ceri sighed softly, keeping her thoughts to herself for once as she simply continued to walk forward. Thankfully the hole in her leg was beginning to close at least…seems the demon was good for one thing anyway…

cedura 02-23-2010 11:42 PM

Time seemed to pass slowly as they continued to trudge along, Lyre leading the way. The sun was beginning to set and the air had cooled. Kay felt a shiver run down her spine. "Its getting really chilly, do you think we should stop for the night? How close are we exactly?" Just then another shiver ran down her spine.
But it had nothing to do with the temperature.
The creature was close. She knew it was not the scorpion or the panther, the felling she got was different. This creature was worse. Since it was getting so dark, Kay figured it was a night creature, it could probably see and hear in the dark better than her group could. Certainly better than she could. She crept up closer to the group and whispered as quietly as she could, "Forget I asked if we should stop. We have to go, as quick as we can."
The creature knew dinner was close, it could smell the blood left over from Kiryn and Ceri's wounds.
It began to close in on them.
We cant fight it, we are too weak in our current state. The realization if this scared Kay more than anything. She knew they were all exhausted and tired. They had been travelling for most of the afternoon with no stops. Sure Ceri's leg had almost healed, but Kay imagined that the process had greatly exhausted her.
Her whisper came fiercly this time "We have to run."

Kry 02-24-2010 12:00 AM

Kiryn would not run. He would fight or die fighting, he would not run from a fight. He was no coward. He had stopped. They had been walking for a while and he was sure he almost had this whole balance thing figured out without the slight weight of his wings behind him. Frowning deeply and brooding still. But a warriors heart beat within his chest. His shoulders were sore and there was still a dull throbbing ache in what was left of his wings. Those violet eyes glowed in the growing darkness..enabling him to see somewhat better in the dark. He had already dropped that cane Ceri had given him and his hand was around his sword hilt.

"I will not run away. I will fight and win or I will die fighting...The rest of you should go ahead, I'll buy you some time." The look in his eyes was fierce, his gaze steady and strong.
