Kay sat beside Kiryn till she was sure he was asleep. And then sat there a little longer watching him. It was the first time she had seen him let his guard down even a little. Its probably just the tea, but still, he probably should relax a bit more often. Finally when Kay was satisfied that he was sleeping, and was sure he wouldnt need anything else (like more tea) she got up and began to move around the house. Ceri was in another room leaning on a wall gazing out the window. Kay had a feeling she wasnt looking at what was on the other side of the window though. It was more a gaze that saw distant things, or things from the past. You dont want me as an ally, trust me, thats what she had said Kay thought about those words. She is almost as guarded as Kiryn. And she seems lonely. Like she has no close friends, Kay felt bad for her. And yet it seems that she pushes people away when they get to close. I bet it has something to do with her past.... Kay also had a feeling that Ceri had seen too many people get hurt around her, and now Kiryn was no exception. She thought maybe Ceri was upset about his injuries.
She walked up to Ceri and gently put her hand on Ceri's shouler. "You two did the best you could out there. I know its not your fault he got hurt." Kay stood there looking at Ceri, waiting to see if she would try to push Kay away too. If she did it could only confirm what Kay believed about the woman, that she was scared to get close to anyone she might care about, anyone who might be a friend one day....

As she felt Kay’s delicate hand on her shoulder Ceri turned, gripping Kay’s slender wrist instinctually. “oh it is… but it won’t be mine if you get hurt.. I’ve already warned you… but then again do you even care? I think you like putting yourself in danger…” Ceri spoke musingly, slowly walking towards Kay at a slight angle. Without even realizing it her currently predatory instincts were causing her to back Kay into a wall. Her eyes didn’t leave Kay’s, intense as always but there was something else in there too…

Kay tried to hold her ground, but Ceri was too stong. In just five steps she was pressed between the wall and Ceri, and the frame of a window dug painfully between her shoulder blades. "Ceri, stop." Kay said in a very matter of fact way. "I know why you are doing this. You are just scared to let people close to you. I used to date guys like you in high school," Kay changed her voice to a deep male voice and said the following is a mocking way. "You dont want to get close to me Kay I may hurt you, Oh no Kay you dont know what kind of person I may be... it doesnt work Ceri. I know deep down you are a good person, that just is scared to get hurt. So you say you will hurt them first." The wooden frame was pressed so hard into Kays back at that point she was sure it would leave a permanent mark... and Lyre was no where in sight, Myra and Kiryn were still sound asleep...

Ceri placed Kay’s wrist against the wall, as if not really listening. Her free arm soon pressed against the wall on Kay’s other side, trapping her without concern. Still driven by the demonic energy pounding in her ears, her eyes half closed as they stayed on Kay’s emerald ones. “Observant but not observant enough….. You miss the evil a good person can do…How easy it is… for a kiss…” Ceri paused as her voice spun the velvety words, pressing her lips gently against the other’s before tilting her head to the side and sitting so close Kay would feel her breath before she bit Kay’s lip though not enough to draw blood… just enough to hurt. “to turn into a bite.” She added, though she was nearly panting from the struggle to fight the demon suddenly as she realized how far she’d gone. “I’ve killed a stupid girl like you before…. So just leave me the fuck alone. You‘re not in high school anymore” She said suddenly, her voice icy and dead serious as she gave Kay’s wrist a painful squeeze before releasing her.
Whirling around so her back was to Kay as she bent her head forward, her hands shaking from restraining the demon. She had never let it go so far before but it was the only way to make things clear… Now would she get it? Would she understand what Ceri had been forced to become? “You are a stupid little girl…and you’re going to die if you don’t wise up, fast. “ Ceri spat out the words…

"Everyone keeps telling me how stupid I am! Why dont you try to teach me instead of allowing me to remain in ignorance!"Kay stood in the hall shouting at Ceri's back. "Or do you just enjoy the fact that Im ignorant, at least if something else kills me it wont be you right? So just let me stay stupid!" Kay felt so angry she just wanted to cry, but not right here, not in front of the witch. Kay was sure thats what the woman wanted. Well she wasnt going to let her see Kay weak.

Ceri felt a twinge of guilt but simply looked coldly over her shoulder at kay with an even more piercing look then usual. “Such fire…How can I teach someone who won’t listen?” For a moment she tilted her head to the side, looking outwardly like a statue… or perhaps more specifically a gargoyle as she gained a wicked and mischievous smile as she began to grow back in control and the shaking began to stop.
“Besides… You already know me… Don’t you? So what can I teach.” She said the last cheerfully, almost playfully…but there was a sharpness briefly in her gaze. She then turned, starting towards the kitchen a moment only to lean on the wall as she suddenly gripped right over her belly button. The demon was rioting…angry… Oh well… she could handle it… as long as Kay didn’t stand to close….

Kay saw how much Ceri's mood had improved in the last few seconds. Well at least she is irritatingly cheerful again, even if it is met with hateful sarcasm. If I have to go through this everytime to get her to cheer up.... Kays mind drifted back to the incident against the wall and her mind stopped dead in its tracks. Did she just... Kay was very puzzled... "Um Ceri... I dont know if it is a habit of yours.... and forgive me if I once again sound rude. But do you always kiss people when they are screaming at you?" Kay had never been kissed by a woman before. She was unsure of how she felt about it. Maybe I can ask Lyre, he seems to be the only person here with a level head.

“Technically you didn’t scream at me till afterwards… so you either really liked it or really hated it. Which was it?” Was Ceri’s teasing reply. She gripped her belly slightly, giving casual replies out of habit as she closed her eyes. She was finding the demon a little more difficult to control then usual.. Simply because it had felt human flesh between teeth for a moment. Honestly…. She denied herself love and sex so the kiss meant little to her… Her bisexuality ensuring that she found all the lovely people here attractive in that simple physical way the body tended to have…

"Well since it is obvious that you are keeping secrets, I think I will too." Kay blew her a kiss and went back into the other room, to make sure Kiryn hadnt been disturbed by their shouting match. For now, he was still sound asleep. Now I just have to find Lyre and ask him what all that was about... since he has known Ceri alot longer.

She simply smirked at the kiss and waited until Kay disappeared into the other room before turning and leaning her back on the wall. Slowly she slid down, her hand over her belly…. A small drop of her blood leaking out under her hand Ceri knew she’d pay for what she’d just done and managing to hold out her control. Still…. It seemed necessary at the time. If the pain wouldn’t scare Kay, perhaps the kiss had. Oh well….at least she’d kept from attacking Kry….at least he seemed smart enough to stay away from her…

Kay couldnt find Lyre anywhere inside... He probably when outside to clean demon doggy off his front lawn. I will just wait till he is finished. Kay went back into the room where Kiryn was and sat down on the wall opposite from him. She picked up the bag of chips and munched on a few, realized she was not hungry and then picked up the book Lyre had set on the ground many hours before. All the words in it looks rediculous, but the illustrations were beautiful. Kay stared at these for a long time.

Ceri bit her lip, taking a deep breath as she stood. She walked slowly to the bathroom, removing her gloves and bending over the sink. Quickly she washed the blood off her belly, three perfect teardrops this time. “got three this time instead of just one, congrats.” She whispered to herself, taunting the demon. She chuckled to it, leaning forward over the sink.
Taking a deep breath she held her wrist, still appearing as if it was burned, underneath the water. She hissed slightly as the cold water hit but knew it would help it heal faster. She stood there, her head bent forward so her features were hidden in shaggy raven curls.

A low grunt issued from Kiryn's throat, he shifted a bit where he sat and his eyes fluttered a moment before actually open. He was still, purple hues unfocused for a few moments and as he waited for everything to come back into focus he didn't move. It wasn't long before everything was clear, he blinked once, twice and his gazed darted this way and that..Tongue peeked out to lick his lips and then his eyes fell on Kay.
"...." Lips moved but nothing came out..he cleared his throat slightly and tried again. "How long was I asleep?" He moved, slowly getting to his feet, wobbling just a little. Those wings behind him fluttering and flapping some to help him keep his balance. The poison was gone, but he could still feel some lingering effects though he was sure that those would be gone soon enough.

Hearing Kiryn speak she reacted instinctually. Ceri shut off the water and dried her arm, putting the gloves on to hide the holy burn on her left wrist. With that she entered the room the other two were in, feeling enough control that she figured it’d be okay to enter…after all Kay was so confused by the kiss she’d probably b e to off balance to do anything… Perhaps the demons lust could have it’s uses she observed with a soft chuckle.
Looking at Kiryn she answered cheerfully, “Just hours and hours of course” She smirked at him a moment, acting as if he hadn’t said any of the things he had before he went ot sleep. He may be an observant creature but she… she was a stubborn one.

He looked at Ceri when she entered, that intense gaze seemed even more so than it had before he fell asleep. Those purple hues narrowing for a moment as he studied her, then a slight shake of his head. "I stand by my words. I would be your ally if you allow it....but you only seem to push people away, holding them out at arms length....What..what are you afraid of?" He only wanted to understand this witch, to learn about her, he wanted to trust her but she made it difficult for him to do so.

Ceri simply smirked cheerfully as he gave her that intense look, prepared for it this time. Such fine eyes…to bad they wouldn’t stop looking at that which she didn’t want him to. She weighed her options carefully as she leaned against the doorframe, playing with one of the fingerless black gloves she now wore and looking at it.
“I love gloves… but they always seem to get loose threads..” Ceri said quietly, as if she was just going to ignore his question. She then looked towards Kiryn, pointing with one long fingertip at the place where his clothing was still ripped from the demon dog’s slash. “How’d you get that? Oh yeah… now I remember. Things around me tend to get eaten, and I find people boring to be around anyway so don’t see the point in the hassle. I do just fine on my own.” The truth…yet not the truth…this was an art Ceri was gifted in.

He had looked down when she pointed at the torn area of his clothing. A slight frown finding it's way to his lips and he shook his head a bit. "Gloves only get loose threads when the threads aren't bound tight enough..." His frown deepened a bit. "You find people boring, but, you've surrounded yourself with us all the while the pretend like you don't want anyone close to you. No one near you. You keep everyone distant from yourself because you are protecting. What, though, do you protect? Is it yourself from being hurt by others, or do you protect others from yourself...Maybe a little of both?" His gaze had softened just a little. "It's obvious, to someone like me..To someone who lives to protect, I can see and sense things that others cannot. Perhaps I can help you, if only you'd let me."

It was a funny thing… to have someone see the creepy little witch from a long, cruel line as protecting…even though it was true. What use was there? She wasn’t sure…Ceri begin to pick at her gloves a little further, playing with the black cloth absently. It only took a moment before she looked up, tilting her head to the side.
“If I said the truth I wonder if you’d even believe it…. You’re wasting your time. I’m a jar of evil things no one should mess with, and even if I’m an innocent little jar…which I‘m not, if I don’t do my job they get out. That is one thing rumors about me had right..” Ceri then winked, leaning back and closing her eyes. “If you want to by that story” she cheerfully added. She sat there, leaning against the wall with her eyes closed…

He stretched, raising his arms above his head and standing up on his toes, his wings stretching a bit behind him and then he was lowering himself back down to the cushion. His eyes never leaving her. "A jar itself is not evil though, just because it's contents may be so." He paused for a moment. "You say that no one should mess with you, but you are the one that put yourself in the midst of people. How can we just ignore you when you are near us and you speak to us? You want us to stay away from you and you push us away but at the same time you keep us within reach." Another pause. "The other person inside of you, the one that shares your eyes, is that the one that truly wants to hurt the people around you? Is that the reason why you try to keep everyone distant from yourself?"

“You do trust that story then…” Ceri answered with a yawn, looking almost bored as she kept her eyes closed. Her only motion was to flicker her ear towards the sound of his own movements, until verifying he was staying over there…where it was safe. She was satisfied with this and let her head rest against the doorjam, letting the silence stretch between them a moment. “There is no other person inside of me though…” She added, truthfully in her opinion though unconsciously she added a little emphasis to person. That…thing, had no business being called a person…

He watched her carefully and listened carefully to her words. He shrugged slightly. "If not a person, then a creature of sorts.." Another shrug. "A demon or a parasite, perhaps a bit of both, then?" His head tilted to the side a bit. "Do you fight for dominance of your own body? Do you fear the thing inside of you will kill everyone near you?"

A demon… he got it right. Ceri merely smirked to herself, however, not saying a word. She looked up at the roof then, chuckling to herself briefly. “Such faith in a witch…What makes you so.. Silly, I wonder.” She mused aloud, not saying a word to what he had said. She saw no reason to. Telling him he was wrong didn’t seem to be doing any good… and why confirm? It wouldn’t’ change anything

A light sigh passed his lips and he shrugged again. "Having faith in someone is not a crime, perhaps foolish judgement, but just because you are a witch is not reason enough for me to condemn or hate you. If we never give anyone a chance, then how could they ever do good in their life? Especially when they seem as troubled as you."

At his sigh, she glanced over towards him as her icy blue eyes briefly touched onto his. She just gazed at him a moment, silent and unreadable save perhaps to the squirming demon inside her. Finally she chuckled to herself. “You really are a pure soul aren’t you? Little wonder…” She trailed off, but there was briefly a hunger in her gaze though it passed quickly as she smirked. No wonder the demon wanted him too despite him not being its favorite human snack.
Ceri looked forward at the roof, speaking quietly now. “I should be troubled I suppose…… but honestly I’m not. I’m here because Lyre is here, I have no where else to go. I have no other way to live then what I do… I’ve never known any other way. It's really not so bad... I questioned things I shouldn’t so my family was always… distant. I wouldn’t know how to be close if my life depended on it. As I said sweety, You’re wasting your time…” With that the elf laughed in that deep, velvety sound she often did before turning towards the kitchen. “You should drink more of that tea… I’ll bring the pot…”

He nodded slightly at her words, but said nothing else, he was still just a little tired, perhaps he hadn't slept long enough? When Ceri turned towards the kitchen to get the rest of the tea, he leaned back against the wall, his wings positioned so they weren't crushed under him or crumpled a bit. His head tilted back slightly and he closed his eyes. He didn't like feeling weak.
