She laughed nervously, face as red as a beet, and soon turned to look away. "Sorry 'bout that... I don't even know what came over me... I don't know how that even came out!" Her laughter grew more dry and nerve-filled as she stared at her feet soon enough, watching the grass near them swaying slightly in the barely noticeable breeze.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it." Drake cooed to her and let her go when she looked away. He looked up at the leaves in the tree and watched as a loose leaf blew down and fell gently on Chloe's head. He smiled and removed it, reaching out to hand it to her.

She looked at the leaf curiously, smiling and taking hold of it in a gentle grip. "Looks like this leaf was loose off the tree, huh? Hm..." She studied it. "I don't know what sort of dish could use this, but I'm sure it'd do well cooked..."

"Must have been loose." he nodded and looked at the flowers in the garden glistening in setting sun. He smiled at it's beauty,"I wonder what it would taste like cooked." He laughed lightly.

Smiling at the lovely scene before them as well, she smiled over to him soon after. "I'll try making something with it then, how's that sound? I'll make sure to taste if first though- don't wanna make you taste something horrible if it does turn out that way."

"I'll taste it first, that way you don't have to try anything bad." He smiled and touched her nose lightly.

She pouted. "But it's a chef's job to make sure the one they're cooking for can eat something without hating it!"

Drake didn't know what else to say, "Okay."

Smiling a bit to herself, she wrapped an arm around him lightly as some sort of gesture- she wanted to say it was a show of affection, but even she wasn't sure about that part. After a little bit, she watched the sky momentarily, looking at one particular cloud and giggling to it- it looked like an apple to her, and somehow that reminded her of earlier on. Somehow, the apple itself was enough to make her happy, as somehow, it now correlated to him when it was in her head.

Drake warmly accepted the gesture and put his arm around her waist in return. "Being here like this is nice." He said smiling.

She giggled a bit in response, nodding to him. "It is nice... And the area in general is nice as is, so this just makes it nicer."

"Indeed." He gently pulled her closer to him. He smiled at her and kissed her on the cheek, "You are just too cute."

"Are you sure it's not just you hallucinating by thinking that? 'Cause personally, I'm pretty sure I'm far from cute..." She laughed, smiling to him easily and kissing his cheek in response.

"I'm not hallucinating, you just have low self-esteem. You're not just cute, you're beautiful!" He smiled cheesily.

She struggled to stifle another laugh, failing and giggling in a small fit of sorts as she hugged him. "And you're amazingly sweet."

Drake laughed, "Thanks, but you are....especially when you laugh like that." he hugged her back and kissed her on the cheek looking into her eyes smiling.

She smiled slightly, however her face was already burning further then she thought possible when he looked at her. Shaking out of a dazed state, she glanced at the ground, still slightly hugging onto him, but not able to say a word.

Drake knew not a word needed to be said at that moment, he just wanted to hold her, keep her from any harm and take her in, her smell, her smile, the feeling of her skin, he enjoyed it, her company. Smiling he picked her up and put her sideways on his lap, so her leg was spread out not touching anything but her thigh touching his, hugging her he smiled and breathed deeply in.

She stared at her lap quietly upon the sudden change of position, also knowing well that nothing had a need to be noted at that time. The blood in her cheeks never gave up trying to heat her face up further, but after a little while, when she finally got used to what to her was a strange sensation and position, it finally gave in, causing her to let out a soft, relaxed sigh as she leaned lightly onto his chest, smiling up at him slightly.

Drake relaxed as Chloe sighed, he put his arms around her and leaned against the tree smiling down at her then kissing her nose lightly. He breathed deep slow breaths moving his chest slowly up and down even though his heart was beating a much more rapid pace.

She listened quietly to the rapid heart-beat, which was likely only tied by her own, though she tried her best to ignore it. However, hearing his had caused her to look up at him curiously. "You okay? You're heart's beating sorta fast..."

Drake looked down at her, "Yea, it's just being with you makes my heart beat faster, it feels nice." He laughed lightly.

She looked at him easily in response, head slightly tilted. "I always thought that your heart beating faster was a bad thing..."

"No, not always." He smiled at her and kissed her head, "It's a good thing sometimes, like now."

She wasn't sure she understood why it was considered a good thing, but at that moment Chloe had decided not to think too much on it. Smiling, she rested her head for a moment, looking at him happily. "I'm glad it's a good thing then."
