She couldn't help but giggle a tad bit when he poked her nose- it hadn't actually tickled her, but it had been a sweet gesture, so she still couldn't help it. "Maybe it's that. But it also could just be you're naturally wonderful anyway." She smiled up at him happily, kissing his cheek in response.
"Awe. Thank you. You're too sweet." he took a deep breath and sighed happily. He place his hand under hers and rubbed circles lightly on the back of her hand. Then kissed where he had made a circle.
"Not really." She smiled in response to his words, though a tad shyly. A faint blush hit her face when he kissed her hand, and she simply kissed his cheek in response. "I think you're the sweet one. So perhaps we're either both sweet or neither actually sweet too."
Drake smiles at her, "I think you might be on to something..." he pauses and thinks for a moment, "Perhaps, we are both are sweet then when we are together we make things just sweet enough?" he asked her in amazement. "Or maybe....." he paused midthought, "yea. I don't know where I'm going with that." He chuckled then kissed her cheek.
She chuckled a bit as well, trying to get up before realizing her cast sort of stopped her. "We should go inside soon. It's a tad dark. And to be honest, I'm sorta sleepy..."
"Alrighties.Want some help getting back into your chair?" He looked out at the darkening sky then at Chloe smiling. He began to slowly stand as to not harm her in anyway.
"I could definitely use some help, yeah...It's hard to move my leg enough to get up to do it myself." She laughed nervously, holding her arms up as a means of further asking for assistance. While she hated to do so, she did need it.
"Don't worry about it hunnie, I'm glad I could be useful." he smiled at her and lifted her by one of her arms and put his other around her waist to lift her into her chair. "There you go." he kissed her forehead.
Once in her chair, she sighed with relief- at that moment, she'd remembered the one thing she had a grudge against right now- that chair, and her horrible mess of a clumsy nature. The fact that she couldn't stand well was enough to drive her insane- but, luckily, she at least was near someone she was comfortable with who was willing to help her- even if the fact she needed help still bugged her a good bit. "Still can thank you, can't I~?"
"Yes, yes you can." he smiled at her, and kissed her hand. "I love helping you, it makes me feel useful."
"Sounds like me and cooking at the bakery," She replied, laughing. "That's the only time I feel like I'm actually doing something at work..."
"It makes sense, that's what you're good at. It's adorable seeing you in the kitchen, it's like you glow." He smiled at her, "Where would you like to go? Bed? Doctor's to check on your daughter and see how your leg's doing? Anywhere and I'll follow you my darling." he said and laughed lightly.
"I'm sleepy, so bed sounds nice." She smiled softly to him, giggling a bit from how he'd spoken to her. "And I only am good at cooking because I've been doing it since I was a little kid. That and I had a good teacher. It was fun for me...So I enjoyed learning. I loved seeing the smiles people gave me when they ate what I'd make. Especially mom's."
"Alrighties." Drake said and listened as Chloe spoke, "That's cute, did your mom cook too?"
"I don't really remember," Chloe replied with a slight laugh. "Ever since early school days, mom was too sick to get out of bed most of the time."
"Oh, I'm sorry." he stopped her chair momentarily and kissed her forehead. "You're so cute when you cook, it's like you glow." he smiled thinking of her in the kitchen earlier.
"You do realize you told me that already, right?" She giggled a bit, smiling at him anyway- he was sweet, and she quite admired that. She reached an arm out to wrap around him momentarily before just smiling again, letting a small yawn out. "I like to cook because it's fun though, so I'm happy."
"Yea. But it's true, so I love telling you." he smiled and held her for a moment when she reached out to him. "So up to bed it is, missy?" he asked as they reached the little area where the outside elevator was.
She laughed a bit in response to his words before happily playing with a small bit of hair as they reached the elevator. "Yes please. Unfortunately I'm still tired."
He smiled at her, "Okay." The elevator brought them up and Drake smoothly wheeled Chloe to her room, kneeling down in front of her he took her hand and kissed it, "G'Night Milady."
Giggling a bit, she watched as every bit of the halls and elevator passed by when he wheeled her. It was sort of like a ride, but somehow she could sit still long enough to enjoy it. When at the room, she managed into the bed and giggled at his words, kissing his cheek. "And a good night to you as well. Make sure to get enough rest yourself, okay?"
"I will, you too darling." he left and shut the door behind him. He headed off to his room practically skipping from delight. Drake righted himself when someone began to walk by then jumped and clicked his feet before opening his door and hopping into his bed. He was acting like a child and loved it. He slept almost soundly that night tossing and turning occasionally because of his glee. That morning he was awoken by a sudden commotion downstairs.
Chloe had fallen asleep fairly easily in comparison to other days. She'd rolled onto a side- the one that wasn't bad from a leg that had a cast on it- and had been sound asleep for hours on end. Even when the sun rose again, she'd slept through it- though perhaps that may have worried some who knew her better. When she woke, she heard a commotion, causing her to fight to get into her wheelchair. When she managed, though barely, she let her hands drag her into the room. "Um...Morning...?"
((Into the room??))
Drake rushed out of his room then headed to Chloe's room, "You up?" he knocked on her door, "Let me know if your dressed and I'll just open the door." he laughed a little, "We can go find out what's going on downstairs...." while he spoke the noise downstairs stayed at a steady banging and thumping combination with rattles of something in between. |
((Well wherever it was. I don't know xD I was out of it >>))
She still fought with her wheelchair. "You can come in. I already changed." She laughed, though it was a vagrant and not fully comprehending laughter. Her legs were trying to figure out the wheel chair because of the one that was bad, as she nearly tumbled over. When she managed, she rested her head against the back of it, a deep sigh of relief escaping her. "Man this thing is annoying..." She wheeled towards the door. "Morning... Any idea what could be causing that racket so far?" |
