Balthazar had been watching Tawny and Lilith's exchange, Getting a running start he dove feet first into lilith's side full force. Knocking her off of Tawny, looking downat tawny's face " YOU ME LETS GO" he said sternly. Picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder he bolted running for the entrance. "Raito keep her busy, shes not interested in you, where were in you come also." He yelled over his other shoulder.
lilith felt the pain in her side as she was knocked over by balthazar. she clutched her side in pain, waiting for the effects of the new blood to take in. a moment later she felt it. newly energized, and as if none of this entire conversation had ever taken a toll on her. she felt the surge of energy course its way through her veins. she smiled noting that balthazar and tawny were already far away. she knew she would catch up with them. easy. but she held back. she had all that she needed for now. she looked over to raito and sighed..."and then there were two..."
Tawny allowed Balthazar to carry her. She fumed angrily, but she knew he was right. Her anger had finally started to get the better of her and she did need to get out of there;it would only have been a matter of time before she'd started making even bigger mistakes. "You can put me down. I'm not injured and I still have two legs." She growled. The deathly, cold, calculating anger had simmered down some. |
Balthazar laughed "Nah i think ill keep you where you are, keep you out of more trouble." "You're fun when your mad." he said chuckleing. He knew they had to get to the catacombs soon, "so which way?" he said to tawny.
Tawny glared at Lilith and Raito, still standing in the street where she and Bal had left. She was sulking, much to small to fight her way down she let herself be carried. When he told her that she was fun when angry, her eyes narrowed. "Thanks." She said sarcastically. She was still gripping her stakes, even after all this time. Not even Lilith's attack could pry them from her fingers. Now, she loosened her hold on them. "Here, put me down so I can put one of these away. I also can't see where we're headed right now so I don't know which way to go." She was finally calm enough to fall back into her logical mind. |
Balthazar slowly put her down standing purposely between her and the two down the street, "Ok which way?" he said, slightly out of breathe. "By the way nice fighting, but you need to know when to stop, girl." he added the last bit knowing itd probably aggrivate her. "Im wondering whats it like in the catacombs never been." His gaze falling to her still bleeding cheek.
lilith grew uninterested in the other humans now that she felt re-energized. she turned to raito and smiled. "so what's up?" she shrugged off anything she had done wrong to him and sighed. "sorry about the whole 'your my captive thing again. you hungry?" she walked over to him slowly but stopped a couple feet away. "want to come back to my place? the sun's about to come up and if your a vampire you'll die."then she thought a moment. "but if your a werewolve then i suppose it wont do anything...but better safe than sorry right?"
"i don't believe I will." Raito answered, "Though I thank you for the offer." His eyes flickered down the street and a small bubble of relief washed over him when he saw his friends were safe, "I suppose I would have done the same in your situation, but maybe a little differently as well. You left to many openings." his eyes moved to the reddening sky, "Go home Lilith, and choose your prey better next time. And hope that they aren't friends of mine or Tawny's. I have a feeling I won't be as weak at our next meeting." Raito swept a low bow and then straightened up, looking at Lilith expectantly. Of course he was just wasting time, a little extra time-wasting never hurt anyone right? Especially when he was supposedly distracting her. By the looks of it, she had already given up on chasing after Tawny and Balthazar.
lilith was shocked at what he was saying she opened her mouth to speak but closed it at the last second so not to say anything she might regret. she didnt want to hurt him anymore, since he had a chance of becoming a vampire like her, and blushed at the thought that she might have looked forward to not being lonely anymore. she looked at him again and sighed. "i'm going soon. ok? but i just want you to know that the more you stay with them...the more danger you are to them." she ran her hand through her now sweaty hair and shrugged. it wont bother me if he says he wont come, but i hope he would she thought. she waited for him to reply.
A ghost of a smile appeared on Raito's face as he reached a hand up to sweep his hair back into place, one eye revealed the other still covered, "I know." he replied then walked a few steps away before half turning back, "but I can still hope." he whispered and then ducked into the building Tawny had pointed out.
((lol while I was typing this I found out there's a possum camping out in my garbage can, it's cute but has very sharp teeth and was snarling at me. Then I think it tried playing dead.)) |
lilith watched him leave and was at least glad he was inside before sun rise. as the sky showed warnings of the suns coming, lilith winced in pain as the first rays of sunlight begane to come. she ran as fast as she could to the nearest building. "wow, i didnt expect it to come this early." she said while rubbing her arms, who had been exposed to the beggining sun light the most. it wasnt going to kill her but it still looked kind of bad. she ripped off the bottom parts of her shirt unveiling her flat stomache which might have looked goos on a human model. she wrapped the clothe around her arms as sleeves and looked around in the building she was in. it was dark, but her vampire eyes saw everything. there were barely any pictures on the wall and barely any furniture. there was only a couch in the middle of the room. she walked over and sat down needing a rest. she fell asleep thinking about the events of the day.
Balthazar looked at the sun and smiled, - Finally - he thought. he glanced back at tawny,"where do we go? we need to find raito and get to the catacombs. Its time for the werewolves to come out and play." He glanced back at the where the fight had taken place, where no one stood now. Quickly he slid his hand over his boots checking his weapons.
((Crap. I had typed out and submitted a reply to this but my comp was being spazzy and I don't guess it went through. Sorry guys, thought it had ^^;;; ))
Tawny gave Bal a dirty look for his words. "...You need to know when to stop, girl." They flared a spark of indignation in her and she had to fight hard to keep herself from placing one of her stakes at his throat. "You'd be wise to watch your words around me Bal. You of all people know how crazy I can get..." She said, referring to the scene between her and Lilith minutes ago, as she spun one of her stakes on the palm of her hand. Her eyes glistened with playfulness but there was a dangerous light there as well. "Now, I must say, you are very very lucky." She'd looked around and noticed that they were right in front of the building with the entrance to the Catacombs. The anger ,and most everything else, having fallen from her face and been replaced by mild amusement. She almost seemed somewhat bipolar. "Go on. I'm going to wait right here in the doorway to make sure Raito makes it back alright. The door to the catacombs is in there, behind a chair and a big pile of boxes." She put her hand to her pack. It contained a few bottles of water that she'd managed to pilfer before having gone to check on Raito; she'd dropped what she was doing and gone to him when she'd heard his screams. When her hand returned to her side the stake that had been in it was gone, but it wasn't in her pack. Now, with her right hand free, only her dominant hand, her left one, had a weapon. She'd still be able to hold her own perfectly well though. |
Balthazar laughed," Id love to see you fight with me." he said a slight smile sliding across his lips. Watching her face change Balthazar thought -She could be fun- At her words, "Oh hell no, i will carry you down if i have to. IM NOT leaving you here, No way No how. Raito can hold his own, plus im sure we can meet him down there and we can wait right inside if you want, but not out here. " He looked at Tawny judging her face, he would if he have to carry her again no matter how much she stuggled.
"If you pick me up again... it's you who'll be getting staked..." Guessing his thoughts exactly. The stake in her hand stopped spinning and was once again clenched in her hand. "Really wanna take that chance?" She rolled her eyes then gave him a winning smile. "Anyway. It's not like I'm going to attack her. The suns coming up... I just don't want Raito stuck out here alone if the werewolves come out." Then she realized that she didn't need to worry. While she and Bal had been bickering Raito had entered the building. Her eyes opened wide for a moment then she glared at Bal. "You can't be around me in a fight... ever. You're too distracting." She rolled her eyes and went farther inside. She started moving boxes out of the way. "Come on you guys. Unless you're going to stand there and let a girlll do all the work." She said this like she was taunting them, putting herself as a female above them. |
"hahaha you can stake me all you want, as long as you dont mind getting knifed yourself." He chuckled. "What i dont want is for you to go looking for he--" he said as he saw raito run into the building. "nevermind". Balthazar laughed quietly when she mentioned he was distracting, "You know ill be around when you fight, and I wouldn't miss them for the fun of it." Balthazar looked at her as she started moving the boxes, "i guess i can help" ina sarcastic tone , as if it would be so much effort.
Raito looked between the two, seems they were getting along just fine. Then he moved to Tawny's side to help her move some of the bigger boxes, it was all mindless though. his mind was elsewhere, mulling over the choices he had left. "Hey...can both of you...not mention my...non-humanity to the others? I don't know how they'll react..." Then there was something else but first...
"Hey now friend..." Tawny said, her voice slightly scolding as she looked at Raito. Her hands continued to move the boxes. There was a huge pile of them in front of that entrance. "None of us is actually sure that you aren't human yet. Until we know for sure, I'm not giving up any ounce of hope. But... I won't tell anyone." Then she turned her gaze to Bal and glared, but in a playful kind of way. "And neither will he. I'll make sure of it." |
Raito let a half-smile lift up a corner of his mouth, "No, I'm sure I'm not human anymore. Lilith wouldn't have treated me so kindly otherwise. She wants a companion to stay around." He threw two more boxes to the side before stopping again, "Another thing...if I do lose control do you think you could...you know. As a safety precaution." He cast his eyes downwards and continued moving boxes, just how many were there?
"Ok fine. You might not be human but you're damn well not like them." She nodded at this emphatically. She started to say something else when she spotted it on the floor. "There, only a few more boxes." A grin lit up her face and rather than picking them up and throwing them, now she merely pushed the boxes out of the way. She continued like this until Raito spoke once more. "Could I what...?" She asked, her voice and face cold and calculating as she turned and looked him in the eyes. "Could I kill you? I most definetely could. Would is another totally different thing though... But if you are asking me, if ever you turned and lost control... if I'd kill you. Then the answer is yes. Without a second thought or a single moment of regret." She watched, hoping her words would get some sort of rise out of him. If not him, then maybe Balthazar. |
A grim smile appeared on Raito's face, "That's all I ask." he stated, then bent down and pulled the trapdoor covering the opening up, peering down into the darkness below, it didn't seem quite as dark anymore to his eyes and a small noise of annoyance made it's way up his throat. "Alright, who's going first?" he asked calmly.
With a wicked grin coming over her face Tawny quickly made her way behind Bal. "Bal's going first!" She said as she pushed him toward the hole. It wasn't too far down and she was pretty sure he'd be alright. Throwing a wink and a slight nod at Raito she jumped into the darkness after Bal landing with only a quiet, muted thud. |
lilith woke up awile later and yawned while stretching. she complained a little about how much light was getting in through the window and wondered what time it was. she got up and felt around in her back pocket. she succesfully found her old battery opeated digital watch that she stole from an old abandoned super market. it was around noon and she needed to sleep more, but culdnt stay still for some reason. she walked to the darkest part of the room and yawned again finding a flight of stairs. she slowly walked up savoring the creepy sounds the boards under her feet made. when she got up she saw a little girls bedroom. it was about 99.9 percent pink and porclien dolls lined the walls like an army. lilith smiled in a not so phycotic way and layed down on the pink fluffy bed. she spread her arms and legs as she was getting comforatable. i would want my room to look like this if i were a human girl... she thought. a moment later she fell asleep again to the sound of silence. the sound that she would always hear...

Sirius sat at the entrance of the catacombs and sighed, attempting to dry out his hoodie along with his stolen cigarettes. "Oh all the good for nothing shit I've gone through for this stuff, I'd have to say this is the worst." He sat there waiting for the others to appear out of the darkness. He grew accustomed to the semi-blackness of his surroundings, but grew tired of it with each passing day. He could hear the approaching footsteps, but couldn't identify who they belonged to. "Hey, who the hell is coming down this pathway? I promise I will break my foot off in your ... oh it's you guys," he said unenthusiastically.
"You bet it's just us. Think any creature would wanna come down here with me down here? I don' think so." Tawny was in a great mood. She didn't particularly feel like waiting on the others and had begun to make her way down the tunnel on her own. "That you Sirius? And where exactly were you going to break your foot off?" She said, grinning as she came into view in the dim light. Her cheek had finally stopped bleeding but was still red and puffy. Her clothes were dirty as was her skin from being knocked around, but otherwise she looked great. |
