At Peace with You;; Devilfern and JessiFlakes
A royal from both sides of an outrageous war are about to meet for the first time. When one side of the war sends representitives, including their princess to convince the others to make and sign a peace treaty to end the war, the princess' side is shot down, but not without the prince becoming infatuated with her first.
When the princess and the prince from these opposing sides of the war begin to fall in love, can they hide their secret from the rest of the world? |
Dawn had just broken over the kingdom of (blank), illuminating the green hills with the sun's first rays. It was going to be a beautiful day - blue was showing through the hazy clouds that hung low in the sky, soon to be burned off. A small party of travelers was moving along the road that cut across the dale, proceeding slowly and in silence. There was a somber air around them, despite the beautiful displays in the clearing sky. Although the retinue was small, it was entirely made up of soldiers, all bearing the colors of the kingdom of Orcade and nervous expressions. There were twelve men walking, bearing pikes and shields, and behind them 4 mounted knights on white steeds. The riders flanked a small but elegant carriage, emblazoned with the Orcadean coat of arms.
A stiff breeze raced across the plains. When it reached the retinue, it stirred the curtain on the window of the carriage. A delicate hand reached out and straightened it, and then withdrew. Princess Claudia rested her hands in her lap and fiddled with one of the rings on her fingers. She was nervous - but trying not to let it show. The other occupant of the carriage also looked uncomfortable. He was an older gentleman, wearing a herald's clothing, a scroll clutched tightly in his hands. If the party were to be attacked, it was he, and not the soldiers, that would be their saving grace. His scroll contained the details of a proposed treaty between Orcade and (blank). Claudia couldn't help but stare at the scroll. She had been rehearsing her prepared speech in her mind for hours. It was a long journey from Orcade, but they had almost reached the (blankian) palace. Four days traveling was about to be over. Claudia reached up and stroked her reddish-blond hair. She hadn't had a proper bath since they had left, and her dress mussed and rumpled from long hours in the carriage. There would be time, she hoped, before she would meet the council for some freshening up. Her best dress, jewelry, and crown were all safely stored in a trunk. She was going to need them - her father's plea was a desperate one. There was much at stake. ((I hope that was okay ^^; I gave my country a name, but I wasn't sure what you wanted to call yours, so I just left it as blank  )) |
((I love "the blankian palace" we should be a bunch of pajama-wearers too. Get it, "Blankian", Blankey, blanket? XD ))
In the palace at the center of the kingdom of Harista a messanger was entering the throne room, where the king sat, speaking with the General about the next attack plan, and the prince, Beauregard, sat bored on his throne to the right of the king. His arms were folded across his broad chest, while his emerald eyes watched the General, wondering if he talked about anything other than war and killing. As he looked to his father, who was watching the General with great interest, the prince's shaggy dirty blonde hair that was long enough to cover his ears, moved with him, tickling the back of his neck. Beauregard could never understand the point of this war, even from the beginning. It was what his father wanted, and what his father wanted, he usually got. Beau was pondering over with when the messenger came in: A look out had spotted an enemy caravan of at least a dozen soldiers, a few knights on horses and a carriage. It was rumored that a herald and the Orcadean Princess were in the carriage, so there was nothing the army could do. This greatly frustrated the king, but the prince was amused. They had no choice but to wait for the caravan to arrive. |
Claudia's nerves tightened as the imposing Castle Harista drew closer. Inside, a man was carefully planning the next attack on her country. On her family. She tried to calm herself down, taking deep breaths and looking out the window at the green countryside. She had to admit it, Harista was beautiful. Here and there on the sloping hills she could see shepherds standing with their flocks, standing out like stars on a green night sky. She could see farms and little towns in the distance. They didn't look much different from the farms and villages of her own Orcade. She wondered if the people who lived there were thinking about the war, praying for their own safety. She sighed. Those villagers were under no threat from Orcade. Harista's army was larger, more powerful, and better equipped in this war. Claudia knew her father had spent many sleepless nights recently, standing in his war room and endlessly moving little pieces around his map.
When she was younger, Claudia had liked to play with the little models that her father and his generals used to represent troops and cities. Harista's castle had been her favorite. She remembered turning the little castle around and around in her fingers, touching tall towers and imagining tiny courtiers peering at her through the windows. The castle looked much more imposing in real life. They were nearing the gate now, and Claudia could see guards sauntering towards them, almost nonchalantly. She took a deep breath - this was it. "What's this, then? Come to offer us a surrender?" The herald stepped swiftly out of the carriage and immediately addressed the inquisitive guard. "King Dante of Orcade gives his greetings and compliments to the kingdom of Harista. He sends his daughter Princess Claudia Orcade as an embassy to King Beauregard I. We would have an audience with his court." ((heehee, everyone in Harista likes to take naps, maybe?)) |
((Yup, we Haristians love our naptime! n___________n ))
A second guard came up and nodded to the first, dismissing him and showing how he outranked the first. The new guard looked at the herald, "The King, the Prince and the General have been waiting for you." he informed them, "Follow me." he said, turning and leading them inside the palace walls, "Your knights may enter, but your soldiers must remain in the courtyard." he said, mostly to the princess, and showing his obvious distrust. He was acting on orders, so it was the general distrust of all involved. Meanwhile, in the throne room, the King and General were growing anxious, both hoping for surrender. On the other hand, Prince Beauregard II sat on his own throne, hoping a peace treaty was to be presented, and he sincerely hoped his father was ready to sign it. He just wanted the war to end, to walk away. He hated to think about what his people were going through... How many people on either side had died already? Were there families that they left behind? He hated the questions that plagued him, but he couldn't outright go against his father. He sat there, growing anxious as well, hoping for the best. |
Princess Claudia nodded and said "Very well. You will give my soldiers food and drink, please. We have had a long journey. My men are weary." As she spoke, the knights dismounted and stood to attention behind her, watching the guards carefully. Hostlers came and took their horses away, and the foot soldiers bowed to Claudia and excused themselves quietly, although there was fear in their eyes. They knew that their princess was entering hostile territory. The Princess, the herald, the knights, and servants bearing Claudia's things then followed the guards into the castle.
Claudia could feel every individual heartbeat as she walked through Castle Harista's halls. She couldn't help but stare as they made their way towards her rooms. She examined every tapestry, and took a quick peek down every corridor. So this was the bastion of the enemy. How strange that it should look so similar to her castle at home, if not somewhat more expensive looking. As they walked, Claudia's spare servants did what they could to spruce her up a bit. They managed to arrange her hair into a more presentable fashion, and get some of the mud and rumples out of her skirt. All the while the princess could feel the guard's distrusting eyes upon her. She gritted her teeth and stared back as boldly as she could. She knew that they couldn't really hurt her under the rules of war, but she still felt unnerved. Harista was a very powerful nation. Their subjects were just as proud and forceful as their king. Finally the giant doors to the throne room were opening, and Princess Claudia took a deep breath. She curtsied low, and then advanced towards the thrones, a small party of servants trailing behind her, bearing gifts from her homeland as well as a very tidy tribute. "Your Royal Highness," She began, struggling a bit to keep her voice level, "I come bearing gifts and greetings from my father, His Highness King Dante of Orcade. My purpose is for a meeting of peace between our two nations. My father proposes a treaty," here Claudia motioned for the herald to step forwards, "to end this brutal war." Once again Claudia curtsied low, waiting in position until the king addressed her, her heartbeat now booming in her ears. ((Sorry for the extra long post! It sort of ran away with me :P)) |
The king watched on with curiosity and outrage as the princess, four knights and several servants entered the throne room. The General was mimicking the face of the king. Beau knew what the king was thinking: he was outraged that the princess of the opposing kingdom was in his house. And as she spoke, her obvious desire for a treaty was outraging him even more. Beau looked at her differently, however. He saw a brave and beautiful girl before the men, and one who wanted peace between the two countries just as badly as Beauregard did.
"What! A peace treaty! Ha! How dare he send you here with such a ridiculous request. I will accept no less than your kingdom and your father's head or his servitude!" he roared, frightening even Beau. He had never heard his father sound so cruel, nor had he heard him lack logic this way. "Guards! Take teh princess and her company to the dungeons!" "No." Beau said in a loud, stern voice, rising from his own throne. "As a representative of a group presenting a peace treaty, they are protected under The Alliance, which is comprised of kings from every country on this earth. As strong as our army is, it would be suicide to spread the soldiers out over all the nations like that." he said. His father looked at Beau with interest, and when he spoke to his son, his voice was much calmer, "So, Beauregard, what would you propose?"? he asked, giving his son a chance to make a command, which caught Beau off guard. He looked from his father, to the girl to his father once again, "We give her a room in the palace and take care of her company. From their looks, it was a long journey and they need a bit of hospitality, which as royalty, we are obliged to give them." He said, nervous, but not showing it. Any sign of weakness and his father would be on him like a lion on a gazelle. The king looked at his son a moment, before looking back to the princess among them, his voice hard once again, "I will not accept this treaty, and you will return to your country to tell them that, when I deem it fit to release you. Due to my son, you may keep what freedom you have in this country and I will not imprison you or your servants, knights or your soldiers. However, you are to follow my orders while you are here, or I may just change my mind." he said. He looked to his son, who nodded in approval; Beau knew that what his father had just offered was all he was going to get. The three men looked to the princess, to see what she would say. |
To her shame and embarrassment, tears were welling in Claudia's eyes. She could feel her body start to tremble, but forced herself to stop, standing straight and proud as a princess should. She was the representative of her people, and she could not allow anyone to break her. She tried to keep her focus, but she could only imagine her father's disappointment and anxiety when she brought him news of Harista's decision. How could she burden him with it? But right then she needed to deal with the problems in front of her. Claudia stared into the eyes of the savage King, her mind full of daggers aimed at his heart.
His son, however...as he spoke, Princess Claudia's anger turned to confusion and then amazement. How could such an eloquent and considerate young man be the son of that tyrant? When he had begun speaking, her eyes had flown to his face, but she quickly lowered them when it struck her how handsome he was. She couldn't watch him without feeling embarrassed, especially when he was defending her. Beauregard II. Perhaps she could convince her father to send assassins for Beauregard I so that his son could take the throne. Perhaps then there would be peace between Harista and Orcade. Claudia had been soothed by Beau's speech. It was like the soft silk to her ears. When his father spoke again, however, the feeling turned to that of gravel. She forced herself to watch his face, and when he was finished curtsied as low as she could manage. Better to be as subservient as possible for the moment. She would have her turn later...if the gods showed her favor. "Your Highness, we are very grateful for your hospitality. Harista's court is a noble one." She gestured to the tribute-laden servants. "Please, accept these offerings from my homeland, in thanks...for your kindness." The servants hurried forwards and placed their gifts before the king. There were bottles of wine from Orcade's southern vineyards, fine dyed cloth from the capital, a silver circlet and bracelet made by the king's personal silversmith, and most important, a large chest of gold coins. |
The king was amused as he watched the princess, but Beauregard felt empathetic towards her. He could see she was trying to remain brave and proud, but he could see her struggle under his father's coldness.
Instead of the king addressing the princess again, he looked to his son, gesturing for him to do what he saw fit. Beau was surprised at his father's mention. Was this a test? He couldn't help but to think that as he turned towards the princess, speaking in his 'regal voice', "We graciously accept your offering. Your servants may leave it where they stand and our own will take care of it. You and your company look tired, Princess. Please allow a few of our own servants to show you to rooms." he turned towards a small group of servants that emerged from the shadows of the throne room which he had gestured forward and spoke to them now, "Please escort the Princess' servants to the servant quarters and see if you can find some room for them there, and also the soldiers, place them where you can. The princess and her knights will be placed in a room in the west wing." he ordered, politely. He clapped his hands once and the servants moved to do as they had been asked. Beau looked towards his father, "With all due respect, your highness, I understand the position her being in your palace has put you into, but we are still under the laws of war. It is best to think of that before making haste orders." he said. The king looked at his son incredulously, but reverently at the same time, somehow. "You are growing son. Perhaps you will make a good rule when you take my place after all. Though, you must still learn the ways of the world. Not every princess who enters this palace is one to be honored, Son. You will learn that soon enough.." he said, as though he knew something about the Princess of Orcade that Beau did not. With a small bow and a nod from his father, Beau exited the throne room, heading to the west wing. He wanted to talk to the princess alone. |
Claudia curtsied once more, this time to the Prince, with a murmured "Thank you, your highness." She and her servants departed, Claudia leaving feeling relieved. When she had entered the throne room, she had no idea what to expect from the taciturn King and his General. Thankfully, there had been someone on her side there...or at least, on diplomacy's side. She shouldn't think that the Prince had repealed his father's command because he sympathized with her. He had been very clear about his position - the rules of war must be maintained at all times, no matter what the situation. Well, that was good enough for her. If Claudia could leave Harista having performed the task she had been sent to do, then she would be satisfied.
"Follow me please, your highness." Claudia was distracted from her thoughts by the voice of a maid, who bobbed a quick curtsey and then motioned for her to follow. Claudia trotted after the girl, wondering what she could expect of her quarters in the castle. The Prince had mentioned the west wing - how many different wings were there in this castle? Castle Orcade was very fine in itself, but nothing near as large or opulent as this. She remembered it with a little sigh, thinking of the warm yellow stones and rather rambling architecture. Part of the castle was always being restored. It was very very old, and the royal treasury wasn't sufficient to get the repairs done all in one go. Her father had taken a great interest in restoring it, occasionally adding his own little flair. Claudia's mother had disapproved, claiming that he was ruining the original design, but Dante had said with a wink to his daughter "A King's castle should represent his country. Remembering and restoring the old, while gradually introducing the new." While Claudia had been lost in her thoughts they had reached her chamber. Her servants hurried inside and deposited her trunks, then departed for their own quarters, with reassuring looks towards their Princess. Claudia thanked the maid, who vanished as well, leaving Claudia alone in the room. She was surprised at how welcoming the room felt - small, but not cramped, and decorated finely. Claudia ran her hand over the silk wall coverings, thinking. There was a four-poster bed, wardrobe, and little vanity table. There was also a doorway into a little washroom. Claudia wandered to the vanity table and sat before the mirror, gazing at her reflection. Olive-green eyes stared back at her out of a lightly tanned face framed by strawberry-blond locks. A princess' face. With a sigh Claudia stood and walked to the window, peering out into the sunlit courtyard. |
On the way through the west wing, Beau ran into one of the maids he had sent with the princess and inquired which room they had put the princess in. She maid kindly pointed out the room and the prince thanked her, something his father rarely did. He headed to the room, pausing before he reached the door. He hadn't thought of anything to say. Looking at the door, he thought a moment, and decided to just go for it.
Beau knocked on the door and stood back from the doorway, putting his hands behind his back while waiting for an answer. One thing was for sure, he needed to apologize for his father. |
The sudden knocking startled Claudia, pulling her out of her daydreams at the window. She stood hurriedly and went to the door, but not before making sure her hair was still in good shape. She turned the handle and opened the heavy door. It surprised her greatly to see Prince Beauregard standing there. She gaped for a moment before remembering her situation and curtsied.
"Your highness." She said quickly, trying to recover from her hesitation. Claudia's head was full of confusion as she rose again. What was he doing here? She was glad, at least, that she had remembered to curtsey. Back at home, everyone else would bow or curtsey to her. She hadn't realized how tiring it was, to have to show such respect whenever anyone spoke or acknowledged her. She would have to watch herself to stay on form. |
Beau gave a small bow in return, not wanting to disrespect royalty himself. He understood her hesitation. She was probably more used to having other people do it to her, rather than having to do it himself. He often was in that position when he visited other kingdoms. "Is everything to your liking, Princess?" he asked, looking around the room over her shoulder that she had been placed in. It was actually one of his favorite ones in the west wing. He smiled a bit, looking back to her for an answer, "I just wanted to have a word with you, if it's not an inconvenient time for you." he said politely.
|
Claudia smiled, at the prince and gestured for him to come in. It was the first time she had smiled since entering Castle Harista, and it felt good. She was pleased that there was some relief to her tension. Even matters at home had been stressful, with her father's face pale and drawn and her mother's harsh with anxiety for him. "No, I have no engagements. Please come in."
At the foot of the bed there was a little seating area, arranged around the elegant fireplace. Claudia sat down on a delicate chair, watching Beauregard with reserved politeness, but also with some excitement in her eyes. She had been surprised when he had defended her, and even more so when he arrived at her door, and found herself eager to hear what he had to say. She couldn't help but notice that he was handsome - anyone would, of course. There was nothing particular about her noticing, not at all. Claudia dismissed these agitating thoughts from her head. Those kinds of impressions could be felt later, and preferably about someone else. |
Beau nodded slightly and said "Thank you." as he entered the room. He looked around the room and smiled. He remembered sitting on that very bed when he was helping his mother decorate the room. Fond memories, fond memories indeed. He walked in and stood near the fireplace and smiling a little. When he turned to the princess he tried to be a bit more formal, "I hope you're finding your quarters satisfactory" he said, smiling a little.
Then after a brief pause he began what he had come to say, "I wanted to apologize for my father's actions. Ever since my mother died he has thrown everything way out of proportion, and lacks reasoning. I believe it's why he won't let this war go." he sighed |
Bemused, but still curious, Claudia inclined her head and said "Yes, thank you. It's a lovely room." It reminded her of her bedroom in her own castle. Simple and airy, with windows designed to open easily and freely.
When Beau spoke again, Claudia lowered her eyes and blushed slightly. What could she say? Secretly, she had hated Beauregard I ever since the war had began. It was too difficult to watch her father worry, and see the effect it had on her homeland. Orcade's economy was slowly falling, as citizens restricted travel, worried about meeting foreign scouting parties on the roads. Shipments were dwindling, and the different cities had less and less communication between each other. People started giving their mail and packages to the soldiers - they were the only ones who were sure to be travelling a lot. How could she hide her feelings from this prince? He was being very kind to her now, but what if he were only play acting in order to gain information from her for his father? She tightened her jaw and gave him a glittery false smile. Best to give him a short, polite answer, revealing nothing about her own feelings. "I understand. These are hard times for peasant and king alike." |
Beau gave a small nod and smile to show he was pleased to hear she enjoyed the room, but said nothing more of it. He didn't want to bore her with a story of his childhood, nor did he want to make her feel unpleasant, knowing his deceased mother had decorated the room.
Bearegaurd sighed at her response, "Yes, but it is because of my father that we are in these times." he said, looking through the window from where he stood, "If I could only find a way to make him see reason..." he thought aloud to her, "In the throne room just now, that was the closest to reason I have seen him be in a long time." he stated. Perhaps it was his father's surprise that his son would stand up to him like he did that shocked him to reality for a moment. |
Claudia bit her lip and twisted her fingers together in her lap. "I would like to thank you for intervening on my behalf." after all, she did owe him for both her own comfort and the possibility of salvation of her country. If Beau hadn't spoken up for her, she would be in the dungeons right now, putting yet another stress on the tension between Orcade and Harista. Claudia thought morosely that without Prince Beauregard she would have had no chance of conveying her message to the king. Her mission would have been completely in vain. "I suppose you know how difficult things have been for my country. Without your help there wouldn't even have been a hope for my people."
Claudia stood and gave Prince Beauregard a small nod, her reddish curls loosening from their arrangement with the movement. She distractedly tucked them behind her ears and said "You have my gratitude, sir." ((Sorry about the kinda lame post, Im writing from my phone in the car )) |
Beau looked at the floor and smiled a little as she spoke. He hadn't completely been thinking about all that, and he was the first to admit that, "I had only been thinking of your safety when the threatened to throw you in the dungeon, as well as what may happen to my people. I do, however, understand what is happening to your own kingdom, and I sympathize. I want this war to end as much as you do." he said, looking up at her, "It is senseless and I see no need for it to continue." he said, "That is why you and I must work together and find a solution, without my father knowing." he bravely proposed. If anyone else heard of this, or even if the princess did, report it to the king, his father, it would be treason and Beau could be confined to a dungeon the rest of his life, or even executed. He had no doubt that his father would at least considering killing him. He looked up into her eyes to measure her reaction, to try and see whether or not he was doomed.
|
Well, Claudia hadn't expected that. And a little part of her was thrilled.
She sat dumbly for a moment, unsure of how to respond. Of course, Claudia would do whatever possible to end the war. If she could bring home news of success, she would go to any lengths. Still, it was...not suspicious, but strange. The son of her greatest enemy was proposing an alliance with her, in order to stop his own father's work. What was really going on between the two of them. Claudia stood and walked towards the prince. She began to speak, choosing her words carefully. "Prince Beauregard, I would do anything to bring peace to our countries. Both sides are suffering. But..." she paused, wondering how to proceed. She wanted to caution him against rebelling against his father's law, but how should she say it? She had no rights here, there were no rules protecting her. Any misstep could send her right into that dungeon. "...If anything were to go wrong, I worry that you would be implicated just as harshly as I. Our countries are at war, and you are the Crown Prince. Offering me help beyond common courtesy could be - is - treason." Claudia swallowed and clasped her hands together. "If you are willing to undertake the risk, I am willing to work with you." |
Prince Beauregard smiled, laughing slightly before speaking, "Oh, believe me, he will not hesitate to throw me in the dungeon, or possibly even consider having me hanged for it, but that is one more reason to do it. My father has lost all sense of logic and reason, and I would like to see it return. I have not seen him so reasonable as he was briefly in that throne room today in ages." he told her. It was true, he wanted his father back among other reasons he wanted the war to end, such as the peace, of course.
((Sorry, it's probably not as great as the first one! .w.;; )) |
((Aww crap monkeys. I was hoping that stuff from here wouldn't get deleted. I liked those last few posts we had! No worries, we'll pick it up again  ))
Claudia smiled a little shakily, but she was feeling calmer now. With Beauregard's support, maybe they could reach peace. "Thank you, Prince Beauregard. It gives me hope to know that I am not the only one who wishes to end this war. If our parents cannot see the way to peace, we must find it for them." She held out her hand for him to shake. She wondered about this kind, upright young man, so eloquent and...handsome. How could such a terrible father bring forth such a thoughtful son? Perhaps there was hope for Harista yet, if he were to take the throne. Would it be very terrible for her to try and organize an assassination attempt on his father, if only to get Beau to replace him? The thought made her smile slightly with the ridiculousness of it. There was still some mirth to be found, even in such a dire situation as this. ((Argh. Mine was lame too Dx)) |
((Yeah, I was hoping so too, but we can do better this time around though! I liked the posts we had, but here's an opportunity to do it better! xD Your post wasn't lame either! It's perfect. =] Just like your other ones. <3 ))
Bearegard smiled and took her hand, but instead of shaking it, he gently pressed his lips against the back of her hand. He looked up at her with sparkling eyes, "It is our duty as royals to take care of our lands, even if our parents cannot see the way, we must help them." he said. He looked at her and smiled again. He noticed she was still a tad uncomfortable. Beau couldn't say he would be any different from her- being basically alone in a foreign kingdom, a kingdom her own was at wat with, at that, and the prince of said kingdom asking for her help in bringing the war to end by committing treason. He knew he was asking a lot for her to trust him, and he was quite excited she had decided to agree and to believe and trust in him. "Do not fear while you are here in my kingdom, Princess. I will protect you, with all the power that I have." he reassured her, kissing her hand a second time before letting it go, his own moving to his side. |
Claudia couldn't help the blush that spread across her face. She ducked her head slightly, attempting to hide it. She folded her hands, trying to make the tingling where his lips had touched her skin subside. But at least she was beginning to feel some relief. The Prince was kind and good, and he wielded power in his father's court. Even thought they had to conspire secretly, Claudia was beginning to feel hope sprout inside her. There was a chance now that she could return home with good news. The feeling was so strong that she wanted to hug the young man, but that would be indecorous, and not at all what a dignified princess should do. Instead, she smiled back at Beau and said "Prince Beauregard, I am so glad to have found a friendly soul in this castle. Some of my fears have been abated by your kindness."
Claudia moved to her trunk and rested her hand on it. It had been a gift from her grandmother - made of polished wood and engraved with a little copy of the Orcadean seal on the lock. "I have my father's proposed treaty with me, if you would like to read it." A shadow of sadness crossed her face. "My father and his council spent almost a week writing it. I wish your father had at least read it before he sent me away. Will you read it over? You must know the interests of Harista just as well as he." ((Oh, thank you! ^^ I think this is going really well. Also Beau sounds like such a dream boat  If I were in Claudia's position, I would be like OMG SEXY BOIIII )) |
He smiled as he watched her, thinking perhaps he had been too forward with her. The blush, on the other hand, made him wonder if he had not. Beau couldn't help himself, he wanted to be overly kind to her, he just felt so attracted to her. It wasn't love and he knew it, but a bit of harmless flirting with someone he liked couldn't hurt- though his father would disagree, claiming he was seducing the enemy, not a woman. Beau imagined his father would also find a way to use it againt Orcade, either that or Beau would be severely punished for attempting it. Her words brought him from these thoughts and he looked up at her with a smile, "I am glad to be of some help. I hope we get very close, as allies and as friends." he said, wondering if his phrasing was apropriate.
Excitement overcame Beau at the thought of reading the treaty- the one he had been so hoping his father to accept. "I would love to read it, Princess! I had been so desperately hoping my father would not dismiss such a document so quickly." he said, moving closer, ready and willing to accept such a thing. He was quite interested in what Orcade had proposed to Harista- to his father. It could also be useful when he spoke to his father again. ((You're welcome. =] I'm glad you think so; I do too. n_n Hahaha, he is a bit of a 'hunk' you could say. XDDD )) |
