Jesilyn welcomed back Vincent and her parents, noticing she was not on the 'wrong' side of the room, as her parents were across from her. However, where she sat was the only place for her, and she happened to be wuite content there. She looked back to the Prince, "Thank you. Enough of this compliment war though." she laughed again. She truthfully just didn't want her parents to see it, and especially not all the blushing.

At the bit about her keeping annoying men away she gave a full-out laugh, "While this is true, I seem to have brought you, a self-proclaimed annoying man closer." she pointed out, smiling. "Not that I find you annoying." she amended. "As for the play, I've been told there is one at the end of the week, and a balcony is reserved for me. I would hate for you to get sick of my company, but would you like to join me there as well?" she asked. Jesilyn was unsure as to why she was extending all these invitations to him, but it could have been the sweet smile that did her in that time.

The Queen nodded, "Well, you said you believed she was with child again, correct? What led you to believe that?" she asked, smiling, secretly hoping it was true. It would be good for her friends.

When the parents returned he had greeted them rather informally. It didn't matter because he didn't receive a glare from his father. When she asked for their little war to stop he simply nodded and smiled. "I agree." he simply stated before he let the subject to rest.

He chuckled at her laugh, it was adorable. Wait...what was he thinking?! It almost sounded as if he were in love with her! And he wasn't! A vampire could not fall in love with an elf! "I'm glad you don't find me annoying." he said and then thought of it. "I would be very honoured to go with you." he said and nodded. He felt like he was really appreciated by her. It was a lovely feeling. With a pleased smile he eased back into his seat and just watched the girl's face. He caught himself at staring at her and quickly turned his attention to the parents.

Vincent nodded. "Yes I did say that." he confirmed. "Well, it's because when she was pregnant of Jack, she got very cranky, it really scared me. After that small period of time, she got just as ill as she is now. That's what made me think that." he nodded. "I just hope everything will be okay at home."

Jesiyln nodded, "I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun." she said, smiling. And she believed it too. He seemed like he could be a fun person to hang around with when he opened up and laid back a bit- which seemed more likely without his father around, she noticed. That wouldn't be a problem, since her parents rarely went to the theatre with her, and she assumed Vincent would rather stay with her parents than the two of them. 'Babysitting' he imagined he would call it, but he would say it with a smile, and lovingly. Jesilyn smiled and kept glancing at him when he stared, waiting for him to realize he was doing it, but she wasn't about to say it. When he did, she simply giggled lightly. She didn't think it too weird, just wondered what had fascinated him so... Then she wondered if there was something wrong with her face.

"Well, I hope she was cranky as well then. Not that I'd wish that upon you per se, old friend." Lucien laughed, taking a sideways glance at his wife who shot him a look back. Jesilyn knew that look- he was in trouble; she laughed mentally. It was nice seeing her father get in trouble once, it was how she knew that she took after him. A servant wandered into the room with a curtsy and Lucien looked to him and gave him a nod. Jesilyn was confused about what it meant, but then she recognized he was the one who brought the drinks in from before. The nod must have been pertaining to the ones he had served Vincent and the Prince... Still, she felt she was missing pieces to the conversation, but opted not to ask. Instead, she found a new question, pertaining to the subject matter, and the courage to ask that, "Pardon me if I am being too personal, but how is it possible for vampires to conceive children?" to which her mother looked at her in horror, shocked their daughter would ask such a thing. Jesilyn pretended not to notice this as she waited for an answer.

[small time skip due roll back xD]]

When Vincent received the head shake of Lucien he gave a nod. Although it looked more as if he was trying to get the few strands of hair out of his face. He was just happy that Jesilyn was so curious about their race. It meant that she was willing to accept them as they were. Vampires were mysterious creatures, not everything was known about them, not even the vampires knew a lot about themselves.

Vincent laughed. "You've got it, that's completely correct." he said and nodded. The man kept a close eye on Jack when he sat down and seemed to be exhausted.
For now Vincent decided to let it rest for now. Vincent nodded slightly. "I guess you're right. But you know what the problem is then? We'll extinct, at least in our lands we will." he said. "It's sad, but I think that is our future."
Jack briefly looked up before he suddenly fell over, forward. Within a blink there was no tall man lying on the floor, but a small, creme coloured bat with a red streak of fur over it's head. Vincent looked down at the small creature which looked like he was out cold. "OKay~..." he stated. "That's new."

Jesilyn thought over all she had just heard from the conversation. One thing she decided was that she would have to ask what the Prince had looked like as a baby- she was desperately curious to know. Another thing she wondered about was the liklihood of an interracial marriage, or even relationship, between a vampire and an elf. It seemed highly improbable, considering the elves mostly thought like Jesilyn had about the vampires, and wouldn't dream of becoming involved with one romanticly. Which made Jesilyn wonder how her parents had become friends with them in the first place. Maybe her parents were just as odd as she was, in different ways.

She then took a second to look up at the Prince, through her lingering embarrassment due to the conversation he had walked back in on, the blush still lightly gracing her cheeks. She watched as he fell over and was surprised by Vincent's reaction- or lack of one. Instinctively, Jesilyn stood and walked quickly to him, kneeling beside him and putting a few fingers on him, but unsure if she should pick him up off the floor or not. "Is he okay, Vincent?" she asked with concern, not bothering to change her thinking to the more formal 'your highness' from the king's name. "What should we do?" she asked, looking up at him.

Lucien was the first to speak from her parents, as the Queen had a hand over her mouth, as if it would hide her shock. "What happened?" he asked, standing as well and moving a few feet away from where the small bat lay next to his daughter.

Vincent had just smiled all the time now. Obviously the man was pleased with the way things went. Why wouldn't he be? The girl was sweet and gentle. The black haired man simply rested back.

When Jesilyin hurried over to Jack, Vincent blinked. To him, it wasn't anything big, well it was but not worrying. His son just had his first transformation, it was pretty special because not all vampires could transform. AS Jesilyn looked so worried he chuckled. "He's going to be fine." he said and now got up, kneeling down beside the small creature. Carefully he stroked the small bats body. "Oh he's soft."Vincent chimed happily. "He should be warmed, that's top priority. " he nodded before he looked at Jesilyn. "Do you want to hold him?" he asked. "Jack won't be able to do much in this state." he chuckled.

The little bat began to stir at the, for him, loud voice of his father. Slowly the bat looked up. As if it was a normal animal Jack tried to move to the warmest spot available, more into Jesilyns hand. He would fly up to her heart if he could, but sadly he was so weak in this form.

Jesilyn became rather confused when Vincent laughed. Perhaps she had been overreacting, she thought, maybe this happening was normal among the vampire race... But the elves had never seen any such thing before, which was what worried them.

She moved over a bit so Vincent could reach his son. When asked if she wanted to hold him, she blushed a bit. It seemed a bit odd to her to be asked such a thing about a boy she had been talking to about art and theatre and culture not so long ago. Though, the same boy turning into a bat in front of them seemed odd to her as well. Jesilyn looked back down to see the Prince moving underneath her hand. "I suppose that is his way of telling me something." she laughed lightly. She moved her other hand under neath him and lifted him from the floor, pulling him up to the level of her chest and holding him against it as one might do with a small infant. While she held him there she laughed a bit, noticing the color of his fur and the red atop his head, "He is soft." she laughed again, looking up again at Vincent, "But, what happened to make him change?"

To them it was indeed a normal thing to happen. However this meant a step closer to maturity. Jack was still young and still didn't have full power. But this was a huge leap.

The older vampire smiled when she eventually did pick him up. "He's probably a bit cold." he noted before he just watched her hold him so sweetly. Vincent would almost become jealous. He then just sat back on the floor watching the two youngsters. He made sure everything would be fine with Jack before he just crossed his legs and smiled.
"I'm glad you aren't scared of bats. Most people are you know." he said as he carefully stroked the red streak of fur, to displeasure of Jack, who seemed to hiss at Vincent. Obviously the redhead was having fun or he just hated the cold fingers of his father in that form.
"Ah, he just matured." Vincent stated. "His power must've gotten stronger." The man used the couch as a backrest now. "It's almost the end of vampire puberty." he nodded.

Jack had nuzzled into the girls chest and had shifted toward her heart, the warmest spot on her body. Gently the small and soft claws on his wings had gripped the fabric, only to hold onto her. The lightweight animal just rested against the girl. Taking in her scent and listened to her heart. It was so calming...That he could sleep. And he did. Within moments the bat was fast asleep.

Vincent took notice of this and chuckled. "Perhaps it's better if we put him to bed before he changes back all of a sudden." he laughed softly.

When Vincent mentioned that people were afraid of bats, Jesilyn looked up at him, "But this is the Prince." she said, feeling as though that were enough to justify why she was not afraid to hold him, "And he's luck he's a bat right now, considering." she said with a small laugh as the little bat in her hands moved against her chest near her heart, holding onto the neckline of her gown. She allowed herself to smile a little as she watched. 'Vincent was right- he must be cold', she thought, placing her hand over him.

She listened again when Vincent spoke, but this time she laughed a bit louder, "Vampire puberty? It's a good thing he is asleep or he might have been unhappy about you telling me that." she joked, imagining it would be similar to when Jesilyn asked about vampires baring children. "So, thisi s normal among vampires, to chance into bats? As part of growing up?" she asked glancing at Vincent briefly befor looking back down to the prince in her arms. Jesilyn did look up again though, a blush rushing across her cheekbones, "Could he do that? Suddenly change back when he's like this?" she asked, imagining that happening considering where he was. She pictured him suddenly growing back to his closer-to-human boy form while still in Jesilyn's arms, knocking her back to the floor with his hands still clenching her gown. She shook her head mentally and looked away from the bat and to the floor, her blush growing.

Lucien had a similar thought, apparently, having mixed feelings about the vampire prince as close to his daughter as he was at that moment. The Queen rose beside him, putting her hand on him, "Would he be alright on his own, or does he need body heat to keep warm?" she asked, both wondering if it would be alright and subtly reminding her husband it was Jack's way of trying to survive for the moment, by using their daughter's body heat. Lucien almost blushed at remembering that vampires had no heat of their own really, and that Jack was indeed doing that and only that. No one could really blame him, he was a father, after all.

At that the king simply blinked. "Yes, but now he's a bat...It doesn't matter to some people who he is or would be." he said before he laughed. "Lucky he is." he nodded and just watched the sweet girl nurse his son. Jesilyn was really sweet, Jack would definitely be in good hands with her, because he already was.

The older man simply nodded. "I bet he would bite my finger off." he laughed. "But this is a normal thing among vampires. All vampires can transform into something. Whether it be mist or a bat or both." he nodded. "The changing is a power that can save a vampires life. I can change in both mist and a bat whenever I please to. Jack doesn't have any control over his powers yet, so this is still out of control." he chuckled.

When Lucien seemed to be ticked off by the whole ordeal but the Queen seemed to be considerate. Vincent shrugged at the question. "If there is a hot water bottle near him, he will be fine." he answered simply and sweetly. "Unless someone wants to stay with him." he slightly hinted towards the youngest girl in the room. He looked at Jesilyn, whose face was bright red.

Jesilyn shrugged at Vincent's comment about him being a bat, "But, it is still him... It makes the difference to me." she said, looking up at him, in the eyes. When he acknowledged the fact Jack would probably be upset, and as he mentioned bite his finger off, Jesilyn laughed lightly, "I'll protect you; I'll keep a hold on him." she giggled again. She then considered the new information presented to her and nodded in understanding, but wasn't sure what to ask. She was also quite sure that Vincent had probably had enough of her questions for the day, and decided maybe she should ask some other time.

Turning even brighter red at the question, Jesilyn looked from Vincent to her parents. Even her father was calmer, after being reminded about Jack's 'situtation' and the 'condition' he was in at that moment. Lucien looked at it as an opportunity to get closer and in turn making the news that would come later a bit easier for them to handle. Not knowing that, Jesilyn only saw all eyes on her. She looked down at the bat in her hands, resting against her chest. "I.. I suppose I'd be able to give him a steady source of heat..." she whispered, "and that would help him, right?" she asked.

Vincent smiled. She could see the person inside the bat and not just the bat itself, that was rare to see and hear. Normally people would just be disgusted by bats. And why? BEcause they were the unknown creatures that would go out at night, in search of fish, insects and in some cases, blood.

Jack had been stirring slightly again, but only to be more comfortable. Soon enough he was resting against her perfectly still.
Vincent had smiled and nodded. "Are you sure? Won't you find it weird if he would turn back?" he asked her carefully. The older vampire was aware of the change back Jack could make. It would be awkward for the both of them if that would occur. "If you still want to stay with him, then I guess it would be better if you would lay down on your side. That way you won't have Jack ontop of you."

Jesliyn nodded and laughed at what Vincent said, "To be honest, I'm trying not to think about him changing back. Not that I do not want him to, it's not as though I prefer him as a bat... Just, in context, in the situation." she said. She then nodded at the suggestion, taking it into consideration. If she were to lie down, then that would more than likely be the best option, but she wasn't sure what she was going to do yet; she hadn't been thinking about that. Her focus had been only on keeping the prince warm.

She looked to her parents, "Should I take him to his room then?" she asked, maneuvering and pushing herself up with one hand so she was back to sitting on the couch. She didn't want to look like a fool trying to stand up straight from the floor, and she also didn't want to shake Jack around too much. She couldn't be exactly sure how delicate he was in his small, soft and furry form, and would have felt more like a fool asking such a thing. Not to mention he might be embarrassed she asked such a thing, linking him and the word delicate, if he could understand her and was awake to hear.

Both her mother and father nodded, and her father told her it was the guest room in her wing, the darker one. 'I should have guessed as much.' she thought, standing, finally. Jesilyn looked down at the creature in her hands again, walking out of the room. Following the many corridors, she walked towards the wing of the castle her room was in, and glanced at the many doors as she passed, counting till she reached the guest room she was indicated was his. She held him up against her still with one hand and turned the crystal knob of the room with the other, whispering, "Welcome to your room, Prince Jack." she said, allowing herself to actually say his name the once, aloud. She walked in and closed the door behind her. The room had been changed just for him, she noticed. The dark wood furniture was the same, and now seemed to fit more than it had before. The thick blue velvet curtains were pulled closed, but a tiny amount of light still found its way in through the slits where the curtains did not meet. The bedding was the same color, but a softer, lighter fabric, with the exception of the black, thicker blanket laid out gracefully at the foot of the bed. Jesilyn walked over and sat at the edge of the bed, feeling a bit awkward at that point- going to bed with a bat that could change back into the boy she had so enjoyed conversing with not too long ago, at any minute. The most unnerving part being she couldn't really even talk to Jack, not without feeling silly.

Back in the sitting room, Lucien and his wife looked at each other and then to Vincent, "Is everything you said true, about him maturing? I was unaware vampires learned to transform as they matured, I thought it was a sort of natural ability they had from birth." Lucien inquired, interested in the more scientific and new cultural difference he had found between them. On the other hand, his wife looked between the two men, "Was that the wisest of choices? How long will she have to keep him warm, and can he just change back without warning?" she asked, her wondering what could possibly happen between the children while they were alone.

"I think that's the best option too." he nodded. "Don't feel awkward when he changes though." he nodded to the girl sweetly. She was doing the right thing, that was for sure. And this would be a great thing for their marriage.

As the young couple hobbled off Vincent turned to his friends and smiled. "All I tell about my race is true. Why should I lie about such thing?" he asked them before he sat back and sipped his drink. "I know vampires are the impurest race that roam the earth, but I wouldn't lie to my friends, ever." he said. "No, such powers come naturally, but it takes time for them to get stronger until they can be used." Carefully he put his glass down again. At the question of the Queen he shrugged. "Only time will tell." he said. "Perhaps it was, perhaps not. Jesilyn wanted to, she had plenty of chances to back out of it. " his eyes shifted from the woman to her husband and back. "I'm guessing that they will decide when it's enough. Jack will be warm enough by now, but perhaps he enjoys to be mothered by Jesilyn, which will be a good thing. And yes, he can change back without a warning. But there is no problem, seeing how he managed to transform without shedding of his clothes." he chuckled.
"Worst case scenario is that he will try to turn her, which I truly doubt. He has no intentions to such...actions." he decided to call it.

In the mean time, once they were both down and laying on the bed, Jack had unhooked his little claws from her dress and just rested beside her on his stomach. He was stirring, a sign he would wake soon and within seconds he did. Slowly he pushed his small body up. Why did everything look so huge? It was moments later that he realized her was a small creature with wings. Blinking his small round eyes he tried to see his hands, but ended up stumbling forward, he had seen his wings. Oh drats. With a lot of force he tried to communicate. "W-what happened?" he finally got use to his telepathic powers.

Lucien laughed a bit, "I did not mean to imply I did not trust your words, my friend. It was rather an overwhelming curiosity and surprise that found me. I know you would not lie to me." he explained with a smile. "I see... So these powers come over time, once they have developed." he nodded in understanding.
The Queen inhaled slowly and deeply, not liking much what she heard at the last thing Vincent had said about Jack turning Jesilyn. "I do hope that it turns out to be for the best, whatever the case. And, forgive me, but I am only mildly comforted by your telling me that Jack has no intention of doing such a thing as turning her. I wouldn't find it hard to believe his intentions would be much more... kind, and noble, than that." she said, adding the 'noble' part as in meaning that Jack would not was Jesilyn to become a ghoul-slave. Jack seemed so much kinder than that to the queen, as well as the king. The both of them gave a small, thankful giggle at the comment of Jack still having clothes on. Neither of them wanted to imagine the effect that would have on their daughter, in whatever case it might do so.

That was the inconvenient timing where supper was prepared. Once the Queen reassured them that Jesilyn would be eating at a later time, most likely and that she was fine, they were ushered into the dining hall. Lucien offered Vincent to sit in his chair at the head of the overly long table, smiling as he waited for him to chose his seat.

Jesilyn had laid down, pulling the black comforter up over them while reclining, but making sure not to smother Jack with neither her body nor the blanket. She lay down on her side, letting Jack-bat settle next to her on the bed by himself once he had let go of the neckline of her dress, but close enough to where he could still feel her heat. Originally, she thought to hold him against her, but the idea of smothering him began to bother her. Resting a hand against the bed on other side of him she held herself up awhile before moving it to rest against her hip. After awhile of nothing happening, she allowed herself to close her eyes, once she persuaded herself she wasn't going to open them and see the Jack she had met staring back at her.

There was a long silence while her eyes were closed, until she felt him moving beside her. She looked down to see him moving around before he woke up- and then stumbling around once he did; Jesilyn let a smile cross her face as she watched him. When she heard his voice, she knew it was in her head and she was almost surprised- almost. It seemed like nothing with Jack and his race could really surprise her at that point; she preferred to think of it then as a learning experience. "You came back into the sitting room and when you fell over, you turned into a bat." she whispered, still smiling, "Vincent said we needed to keep you warm, and you were awfully clingy on me, so I seemed like a good choice to stay with you in here. This is your room, by the way. I hope you like it." she said casually, but still smiling, looking down at him.

Vincent chuckled. "I see, well then. I must've gotten the wrong impression on you." he laughed softly. When the other reflected his words he nodded and smiled sweetly. "That's exactly how it is."
Of course the vampire noticed the nervous inhalation of the Queen. He could understand it. Their daughter was alone, in a bedroom with the Prince of Vampires, who wasn't all that pure and innocent any more. Atleast, Vincent thought that Jack had been doing things that weren't so innocent. But it was quite the opposite. Jack had never been involved with such actions, just yet. "Well, Jack has everything he wants I believe. I don't think he would want a girl like Jesilyn or any other girl for that matter to be like that." he nodded.

As they were informed to come and dine, Vincent stood up and gladly followed his friends to the massive dining room. He always enjoyed that room. Tee cooks always made such lovely smelling food. It pleased the vampire greatly. When he was offered the head of the table, he declined. "No, that's your seat, my friend. " he simply stated and took the seat at the Kings left hand. Guessing he would have his wife at the right.

The small vampire bat looked up at her with his small and round eyes. When she told him what happened hid his small head under his leathery wings. "I'm sorry if I made things awkward for you and your family..." he stated softly. If he could blush in this form, which he could not, he would've been blushing all over. He looked around a bit, but found himself unable to. "I have a very bad eyesight at the moment." he said in all honesty. "So I'll have a look around when I'm normal again, if I figure out how..." With that he just rolled over to his back and seemed to relax. He knew he had heard his father talking about changing, it was just a matter of thinking what you would want to become and it would happen. So he tried and failed.

After a short while he looked back at her. "Thank you, though. For taking care of me in such...odd state." the small creature moved a bit to the pillows where he rested back. "I'm glad though that you're not cooing at me as if I were a 'regular' animal." he really was grateful for that. "However, you seem tired...You should rest."

Lucien smiled with a small nod, "It happens, Vincent. Sometimes it just cannot be helped." he said with another small smile. "I see- apparently, there is a bit more I could learn about the vampire culture and the like." he said, taking his seat at the head of the table, the Queen moving to his right while Vincent took the seat Jesilyn usually occupied.
The Queen gave a small laugh at Vincent's words, "You make it seem like Jack is spoiled. But, that is a bit unnerving- everything he wants?" she inquired. She had a few ideas of what a young vampire prince- a boy, would want, which concerned her slightly. Especially with her daughter in the bedroom with him at that very moment. It seemed the tables had turned and the Queen was now the one who was worrying. Lucien reached out a hand to his wife, as though telling her to relax. "Sweetheart," he smiled, giving her a look which gave her the impression he was reminding her to keep calm as she had only a few minutes before. She laughed a little, nervously. "Forgive me, Vincent. I am sure your son is not like that." she said, a small blush crossing her cheeks.

Jesilyn smiled a bit when he looked up at her. He was so adorable as a bat! She nearly giggled at the sight of him and his little beady eyes. "I do not think you made things awkward. You more worried us is all." she said, then addressed what he said about his visibility, "Oh... bats are supposed to have terrible eyesight, I suppose it's no different for you then. When you do look, I would like to know what you think then." she said, still in the whisper. She then waited to see if he could change back. It would have been less nerve-wracking to have him do it while she was expecting it, but it didn't bother her terribly when he couldn't. He didn't seem to have the ability to do it on command just yet. Perhaps he needed to be further into his 'vampire puberty'.

When he thanked her for taking care of him she could only smile for a few moments. "There's no need for thanks. But I do feel the need to tell you how adorable you look- especially with the little red hair you still have there." she giggled. Reaching out and petting it with one finger, to embarrass him, if no other effect was acquired; though she did get to feel his fur again, which was pleasing to the touch. Jesilyn was indeed tired, but she was hoping it wouldn't be noticed- she also hoped she wouldn't be sent away for it. She tried to figure out a way to ask if she could say without tipping him off, but she was having difficulty with it. "I am a bit tired... but I would like to stay longer, if that's alright with you. In case you need me...?" she said, looking down, but hoping he was blind enough in his bat form to not see the blush that was glowing on her face.

Vincent smiled at Lucien. He enjoyed being with the Elven couple. They were so sweet and caring, always. When everyone was seated Vincent sat back, he looked pleased. He was pleased. Lucien and his wife always tried so hard! Always did their best to adjust to their guests. Vincent thought it was cute how hard they tried.
"Ah don't worry, I didn't mean that he could get anything like that." he laughed. "I meant it in the materialistic way. If he wants clothes, swords, art and the like." he chuckled. "No, if he'd get something like that without permission of the lady and I find out, oooh, he'd better run!" he said in a serious tone. "But he holds great respect towards the other gender." He smiled at the Queen in a sweet way. "I don't take it at heart, dear." he said with a sweet smile.

The small bat just stayed still as he listened to her. "Ah, but still, I'm sorry." he said he seemed to be smiling. He nodded at the eyesight comment. "Of course I'll say what I think! But I'm sure it's gorgeous. Most of the things you Elves have are gorgeous." he smiled. Jack wished he could turn on command, he guessed he had to ask his father for training. With a soft sigh he rubbed his head a little with his wing.

When she told him he looked adorable he began to make a fuss, by waving his wings and acted as if he didn't hear it. He stopped moving when she began to pet him with her finger. It felt so nice... He relaxed at her touch and even pushed more to it. "that feels nice." he whispered.
As she told him she was indeed tired he looked at her and chuckled. "I did mean that you could rest here." the small creature moved closer to her and gently put his wing over her arm. "I don't mind it if you stay...I enjoy your company." Yes, he now noticed it too, he began to like her more than just a friend, already.

Both the Elven royals smiled at Vincent, and laughed at some of his words, but the blush remained on the Queen's cheeks. "Thank you for not thinking me silly for overreacting, Vincent." she said, "But still, you make him seem so spoiled, and he does not act as such." she said, as a servant came and filled her glass with the same green liquid as they were given in the sitting room. Vincent was served by a different servant, the one from the sitting room, who placed on the table before him another goblet of blood, with a smile even. "I have faith that you have raised Jack well." she smiled, to which Lucien agreed: "As I have said, he seems like a fine boy, as I am sure he is." he smiled at his friend.

Jesilyn laughed. "I would expect nothing less of you, Prince Jack; nothing than your honest opinion. And thank you, we Elves appreciate your kind words." she smiled. It was nice to see had hadn't changed just because his form did, though she was unsure as to why she expected him to. Giggling, Jesilyn rubbed his head a bit more when he moved against her and saying it felt nice. It felt nice to her as well, with his fur being so soft and he being so tiny. Taking her hand back, she listened as he spoke, and she waited to be told to leave or that she could stay. Jesilyn smiled even more widely when informed not only would she would be allowed to stay, but that Jack indeed enjoyed her company. "I enjoy yours as well." she said, "You are quite lovely to talk to, and quite a lovely person at that." she said as she closed her eyes once more. Feeling him move closer, Jesilyn opened his eyes a little, looking at him. "Does it hurt to change like that? Into your bat-form?" she asked, having been wondering all along. And isn't it a tad frightening that everything and everyone seems so much bigger?" Despite being tired, Jesilyn's curiosity could not be quelled. There was always a new question she had around the vampires, and she was wondering if she was annoying them yet with all of them.

The man just smiled back at the couple in front of him. "IT's quite alright.' he said. "I can understand your reaction. If I would have a girl, I'd react the very same way." he nodded. "To think that a man would do those things to my little baby, would tick me off."
As the servant brought him the blood, Vincent noticed the smile. Instantly he didn't trust it. The man had been uneasy before, why the smile? If it was poisoned he wouldn't notice anyway... When the other royals spoke he looked at them and chuckled. "Thank you. It means a lot to me." he said before he just watched the others with a smile on his lips.

Jesilyn sure knew how to make him feel special to her. He seemed to chuckle at her words and seemed to sigh in relief when she continued to pet his small head. He sure enjoyed it, but then again, he also enjoyed it when his hair was played with, in human form.
As she said that she enjoyed his presence as well he nodded and nuzzled into her arm. "I'm glad that you do. We would've been in trouble for the next two weeks, if we didn't like one other as friends, right?" he used the words friends, because he knew she wouldn't fall for him. Things would've been different if he were an elf or human...Sigh, the curse of the vampire.

At her question Jack shook his small head. "No, it doesn't hurt. I just felt really tired. I guess it drains a lot of energy." Slowly he rested down and looked at her. "No, I don't find it scary, it's just very different." he said and allowed her to ask such questions. She would fall asleep eventually. "Not to be impolite, but, how old are you?" he asked in return.

The servant who had served the blood came out a moment later with two others with the plates of the main course, giving his to the Queen. That night's dinner was to be light, in order to make their guest more comfortable and not stuff him full of food he wouldn't want to eat. The plates were placed in front of the gentlemen, and then the bowed out of the hall, and back to the kitchen. Lucien laughed, "It seems Haverette has gotten more comfortable with the smell of the griffin blood." he said, noting the smile on the servants face, "He was even able to smile this time around." he laughed. Then, he addressed the matter they had been talking about, "Oh Vincent, be lucky then you have a son, though if your wife is with child. I love Jesilyn with all my heart, but the worries that come with a daughter.." he trailed off, usure of how to finish the statement. The queen laughed, "And the worries that come with her being married." she smiled knowingly, as she began to cut her food into bite-sized portions and looking between the two. If Lucien thought it was nerve-wracking now, the Queen could only imagine what would happen were she to become pregnant.

Jesilyn laughed lightly at his comment about liking each other as friends, "I think we shall be great friends. ...I like you very much Prince Jack." she admitted. It was rare for Jesilyn not to make friends with to whomever she spoke, but it was rare for her to like anyone as much as she did the prince. He was just too much like her- in some ways, such as their wanting to learn or their love of art. There were the cultural and racial differences, naturally. That wouldn't stop her from being friends though, certainly not. She greatly enjoyed his company, and speaking with him, and how comfortable she felt around him. That impressed her, as in the beginning, she hadn't wanted to meet him and thought him dreadful. How wrong she had been...

As Jesilyn listened, she moved a hand closer to him, touching his wing once and letting it then rest near him. She was glad to hear it didn't hurt, but unsurprised to find it was energy draining, having seen how he fell asleep almost instantly. "It's good that it doesn't hurt you, I would hate to imagine that it did." she said, closing her eyes once again. She was falling asleep rather quickly then, but she was trying not to. Hearing him ask her age, she smiled a little, "Twenty-three. Why; how old are you?" she asked back, curious now.

Vincent thanked the servant who got his plate politely. HE smiled nodded. "It seems so." he stated before he he sighed. "It's almost suspicious." he admitted. However he did take the goblet and drank from it. If something was wrong with it, there wasn't anything to worry about.
He nodded. "That I am. " he agreed happily and looked at the other royals. "AH, but I'm sure the children will be fine together. For some reason I believe that Jack really is falling for her." he noted. He had seen the look in the Prince's eyes. Vincent then too began to cut up his food properly before tasting some of it. "Hmn. Tastes lovely." he chimed.

The Prince just smiled and nodded. "I'm happy. " such simple words with such truth. He really was happy now. It was almost unbelievable that he didn't want to go to the kingdom, he was so happy that he had tugged along or rather that his father had dragged him along. Jack had opened up to everyone so quickly.

Jack smiled at her soft and careful touch. Gently he nuzzled into her more before he just nodded. "It didn't. I can't really see how it would hurt." he said thoughtfully. But he shook it off. Of course he noticed that she was starting to doze off. "I'm 124..." he used his soft voice now. Jack was awfully good at whispering and making people drowsy with his voice. Softly he rubbed his head against her wrist, hoping that the soft caresses would take her to dreamland faster.

The Queen laughed, "I wouldn't say that, Vincent. He was worried early that he was suffering the scent of blood for nothing if you didn't like it or wouldn't drink it." Lucien went on to explain, picking up where his wife left off, "I am sure he is just relieved that you accepted it. He has no reason to wish to harm you. He is very loyal, and would not harm a friend of ours." Neither of them believed a servant of their would do such a thing, but they could understand Vincent's suspicions.
Lucien raised an eye brow, and the Queen leaned forward to the table eagerly, "You really think so? Is there any particular reason you believe he is?" she asked with a small, excited smile.

Jesilyn smiled when he said he was happy- it made her happy to hear. He was such a good friend already, and she felt so close to him, emotionally, as well as physically, since he was right next to her. "It could hurt... since your body is rearranging its self..." she said drowsily, trailing off as she became more and more tired. She had barely heard him when he told her how old he was, but she stayed focused, despite the soothing sound of his voice which was lulling her even further into sleep. "You are not..." she laughed, "You can't be... more than... twenty five..." she said, surpressing a yawn.

Vincent then just smiled. He was crazy to think that any of the elves would want him dead. His kingdom had always existed in peace beside the Elves. When the Queen explained it to him he smiled. "ah, I see. Forgive me for overreacting. " he said before he smiled happily to her. "I must say that your servants are very, very polite." he nodded. Vincent took another bite before the two leaned over to him. "Yes, I do. I noticed because he never talks that much around strangers. Besides, he'd be crazy if he wouldn't like her." he said and chuckled. "I've never seen him blush that much. By the end of the week, they'll be a couple." He predicted.

Jack smiled and just stayed still for a while before he rested on her arm gently. "Hmn...I didn't notice anything." he whispered and chuckled softly. Ah he was glad that his voice hadn't become anything high pitched. When she doubted his age he laughed softly. "Believe it." he said in his low voice. Then he nuzzled into her. "Go to sleep. We'll talk after you wake." The vampire shifted slightly and made sure that she would be fine. Slowly Jack began to wander when he would be able to change back.

Lucien smiled at Vincent, "Think nothing of it. If I were in your shoes, perhaps I would have thought the same thing." he said with a nod, "Thank you, I am sure they will be pleased to hear you think so." he laughed.
The Queen was the one to address the prediction first, "Oh, I do hope that's true!" she cooed excitedly, For them to fall in love and be arranged to be married would be wonderful." she smiled, picking at her food. She was nearly too excited to eat.

Jesilyn giggled airily, "After I wake..." she repeated back to him, moving a hand over him lightly and resting it against him. She wanted to make sure he wasn't going anywhere. She was falling asleep quicker then, and she couldn't keep her eyes open any longer, so fighting off the sleep was useless. It seemed as though she instantly fell into a dream, something about riding in the kingdom with Jack, as she had promised to take him before, though she was reluctant then. Everything was so vivid, she couldn't tell she was asleep really.
The dream seemed to last a few short moments, but it had actually stretched over hours, before switching to a darker dream, one with undead horses and angry griffins attacking townspeople, who bled more than possible when she touched them to help heal their wounds. She was forced back when gray creatures resembling elves and humans swarmed to the blood, slurping it from the ground hungrily and looking around with sunken black eyes. Jesilyn turned over onto her back in the bed, trying to force her eyes open to escape the dream. After a few tries, she opened them to see the dim light just before the sun would rise. "Jack...?" She called and instantly looked around for him, to see if she had crushed him while she slept.
