VIncent had smiled happily at his friends. "Ahaha, I already look forward when you two will come over." he chimed, he took his glass and sipped it. He had nodded happily to the queen. "Yes, that would be great." HE said before he just continued his meal. He wasn't going to be rude. However when he had half of it he had to stop. "Thank you very much for dinner.."
When the girl fell asleep Jack just stayed with her. As a creature of the night he was able to stay up. When two hours had passed he managed to change back. Carefully he had taken off her shoes, placing them beside the bed. After that he had moved to get out of his boots, jacket, cravat and vest. He had been with her in bed, reading a book. She had been against him all the time.
He had barely noticed her nightmares because when dawn came he had fallen asleep. The book was open on his chest as he was sitting up against the thick but soft pillows. When she called for him he stirred slightly before rubbing his eyes tiredly. "Morning..." he mumbled.

Lucien and Meryl continued their meal as well, taking turns to speak. "Well, there will be times when you get sick of us visiting, early in the marriage." Meryl stated with a smile, to which Lucien added: "We would love to see how well they get along, and how Jesilyn adjusts."
Not long after Vincent was finished his meal, the queen had eaten little more than he, always having a light appetite. Contented to sit back at the table with her glass of the green liquid, which turned a light and bubbly red when she drank from it, she settle in to converse, "We really must decide on the wedding plans as well. When do you think we should tell Jack and Jesilyn?" she asked.
At the sight of Jack having changed back, Jesilyn jumped and gave a small yell, nearly falling out of the bed. She covered her mouth and looked down, "I'm sorry" she said as she lowered her hand, "I wasn't expecting you to have changed back. I was worried I had crushed you." she said, giving a small giggle. She took the book gently from Jack's chest, careful not to lose his page, looking at the cover, but her eyes were still hazy from the sleep, so she set it into her lap. "When did you change back...?" she asked quietly, "How did you figure it out?"

"I doubt that!" he said before he looked at the two. "I'm sure the children however will get tired of it, but I certainly won't." He stated. "Ah. I think Jesilyn will be fine. There is a small castle near our borders, which is quite neutral in decoration. It's nothing like my castle." he nodded.
When everyone had finished he simply nodded. "Yes, we should. However, I do leave things like decorations and flowers to you." he said. "I want Jesilyn to have a lovely wedding, and I doubt that she will enjoy our kind of decorations."he said as he sipped his blood and noticed it had been the last bit. He looked back at the servant that served him. "Haverette , was it? Could you get me another glass, please?" he asked the servant with a kind smile.
When she yelped he looked at her and chuckled. "Don't worry, I did expect such reaction." he rubbed his eyes tiredly. "You're very sweet. Worrying over me." he sank back in the pillows and allowed her to move around. "A few hours after you fell asleep. You seemed to be pleased to rest against me." he said. "Not to embarrass you. Ah. I don't know. It happened just like that." he said and then smiled. Carefully he pulled her back down with him. Now she was laying against him, just like before she woke up. "I took off your shoes. I hope you don't mind."

Lucien and Meryl laughed, expecting an answer as such from Vincent. "Is the bordering castle where they'll live then?" the Queen asked, wondering how neutral was meant there. When the topic of the wedding was continued, the Queen became even more excited, "Of course we can take care of those things, but what would the difference be for a wedding of your kingdom's tastes?" she asked, curiously.
Haverette nodded with a smile and took Vincent's goblet, "Yes, your highness", then turned on his heels to the kitchen. He emerged moments later with a goblet of fresh blood, though Haverette was more straight faced this time, sporting a smile only when he got to the table.
Jesilyn blushed, redder and redder with every sentence. "I still apologize; I was only started. I hope you didn't mind me laying so close to you. I-I didn't know I was- you could have just pushed me away, you know." she said, growing more and more embarrassed, despite his words against such. She was then tugged and she allowed herself to be pulled down next to him and spoke again, "I suppose this means you didn't mind then.." she laughed lightly. Jesilyn looked up at him and smiled a bit, "No, I don't mind. Thank you for taking care of me." she said, closing her eyes again. "Have you slept at all?" she asked.

Vincent nodded. "I think they will, unless they want to live elsewhere." he stated. "But I think that, that castle will be perfect. Since it's close to the Elven kingdom." VIncent too became excited. The man leaned forward and rested his forearms on the table. "our weddings tend to have a dark edge to them, things are really sober and...well, dark." he stated. "Beautiful nevertheless but I think Jesilyn prefers a more cheerful setting."
When Haverette returned Vincent smiled at him. "Thank you." he said and took a sip almost immediately. He was thirsty, he figured because of the food he had earlier.
The redhead just smiled. "I don't mind it." he said simply before he just kept his eyes on her, almost lovingly. Jack was used to be so close to others, vampires were usual very touchy with one other. It was their culture to hug and kiss, no matter. If it is a friend you greet, you hug and kiss the other on the cheeks. Friends often stuck together quite closely, so sleeping like this wasn't any problem with Jack. Smiling sweetly he stroked her hair. "You're very welcome." his voice was sleepy now. Slowly he shook his head. "Just now for a few minutes I suppose." he said and rested back. "I think I'll take a nap now if you don't mind of course."

The queen nodded, "Ah, I see. Jesilyn probably would not appreciate it... Not on its own, perhaps we could find a way to incorporate it in though, so Jack doesn't feel alienated or left out." she said, trying to fidn every little way possible to tie the two of them together. Lucien merely looked on with a smile as this territory seemed to have been taken over by the queen Not that he minded- he loved to see her so enthusiastic.
When Jack began to stare, she looked down, closing her eyes once in awhile. It wasn't that she felt awkward, she was just not used to being so close to anyone outside the family. She had to admit, she did sort of like it, but her heartbeat was growing faster by the moment, especially once he began to play with her hair. "You should get some sleep, I don't mind. I could use a few more moments myself. I woke up rather suddenly..." she said, moving closer to him and getting comfortable. She looked up at him briefly, "Do you really sleep during the day like they say in stories?" she asked.

The vampire seemed to be happy and excited as well. "I'm sure that we can arrange something. However for such thing you need to be with my wife." he chuckled. "I'm not good at that sort of thing. I can arrange things but then it stops." he laughed. It was true, he had no style in decorating homes, weddings and all of those things.
He caught himself staring and quickly averted his eyes from her. Slowly the man stroked her hair. Yes he heard her heart beat. It was slightly taunting him. "If you're uncomfortable with me being so close, tell me." he whispered to her. However when she moved closer and got even more comfortable he blushed and chuckled. "Ah, never mind." he whispered. He too got comfortable, laying on his back with his arm around her gently. "It depends. Usually I do. But right now I try not. It's not very polite towards you and your parents." he stated.

Meryl laughed, "I will definitely consult with her then. Which brings me to the most important question- where are we having the wedding?" she asked. Lucien then laughed as well, "We were thinking closer to the border of our kindoms would be preferable for all of us." he said, looking between the two, "And if we have it near the castle where the children are to live, it would make for less of a hassle for them as well." he offered.
Jesilyn smiled, "No, I'm not uncomfortable." she said even after he had told her to nevermind, "As silly as it may sound, I've just never been this close to a boy before." she admitted, looking up at him still. He looked so similar to the form she had fallen asleep with, but she preferred the one he was in now. It was much nicer to be on the same level- and not have to worry about squashing him. "Well, I'm sure no one will mind if we sleep a little longer..." she said, as she listened t ohim being worried about being impolite.

At the question Vincents mind went blank. "aaah..." he started before he thought deeply. However Lucien came with the perfect solution. "That is a very good idea." The man looked at the other before he chuckled. "I think that's a splendid idea. There is a lake near the castle with weeping willows, perhaps that's a nice spot?" he suggested to the couple with a small smile.
Jack looked down at her before he smiled. "Really?" he asked her before he just snuggled into her. "Well...What do you think of it? Aren't you scared that I'll take advantage of you?" that was a possibility. He was stronger than any other elf and having her his way wouldn't be so hard. Of course he didn't have any intention of harming her.
He hid a yawn behind his hand before he closed his eyes. "Well....sleep tight then." he wished her before he began to doze off.

The queen gave a squeak and giggle at the place Vincent just vaguely described. "It sounds perfect! Jesilyn would love that!" she said excitedly, not realizing her blunder until she looked at her husband, who was holding back a laugh. "I am sorry. I just got very excited, obviously..." she laughed a little, nervously.
Jesilyn sat up a little, looking down at him, "Would you really take advantage of me?" she asked in a false frightened voice, knowing he wouldn't do it, no matter what threats he made. She smiled a bit, unable to take herself seriously even with what she had just said. Jesilyn settled back down against him, "I trust you, Jack." she said, "Now, get some sleep." she laughed, closing her own eyes.

When she squeaked so cutely Vincent chuckled eventually laughed. "That is wonderful!" he said to the statement that Jesilyn would love it. When the woman noticed her little slip up Vincent shook his head. "It's fine. Anne would react to it in the very same way." he stated before he looked at Lucien. "You, have one adorable wife!" he said pointing at the man.
After a moment of silence he took a sip of his blood. "I wonder how the kids are doing..."
THe blue eyes followed her perfectly before he laughed at her. "No, I wouldn't. I'm too kind." he chuckled. When she came down to him again he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, holding her closely. "That's good, I trust you too." he whispered in soft response before he allowed his eyes to fall shut. Lovingly he held her hand with his free one before he snoozed off completely.

Lucien laughed, "Thank you. I'd like to think so." he smiled, putting his hand on his wife's. Meryl blushed a bit more, "Well, when Anne and I get together to plan this, we can make silly noises together." she laughed.
Lucien looked to Vincent with his question, "Do you think Jack is back to normal by now?" he inquired, now wondering about them, and more specifically his daughter, as well.
Jesilyn smiled when he spoke, but chose not to say anything in response. She simply let him hold her, and let herself nuzzle against him a moment before settling on one place. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep, again, only this time there were no nightmares. One could probably explain that by Jesilyn's being so close to Jack, as if he could fight them off. Jesilyn couldn't even be sure she had dreamed. By the time she woke up, she felt as though she had just gone back to sleep. Slowly did she awake, this time perfectly aware where Jack was, and perfectly content with it. This surprised Jesilyn a small bit, but she preferred to think of it as a good sort of surprise. Just lying there awhile with her eyes open, she debated whether or not she should move- if Jack were still asleep, she didn't want to wake him.
Instead, she marveled at how the situation had switched. Before she was frightened by him, and unsure she cared for his company, but now they were friends and in bed together- though, it was strictly a friend thing. She laughed a little at how silly she had been, and how her narrow minded thinking had nearly cost her a good friend, or, she hoped Jack would be a good friend; she liked to think so.

Vincent smiled. "You two make me jealous. Ah...I wish Anne could be here." he said with a soft sigh. Then he looked at Meryl and laughed. "Haha, yes, you could do that. Me and Lucien will just listen and argue on who has the cutest wife." he laughed.
THe man shrugged. "Could be.' he said. "Normally the first change won't stay for too long." he said before he slowly stood up. "We could go check up on them..."
Sweetly he had nuzzled into her. When they were both asleep, Jack did fend off her nightmares. He could control dreams and because he was usually dreamless he could easily step into one others dream and keep all the bad things away. No one really knew of his powers, since he didn't care to tell anyone.
The vampire was fast asleep, even when she woke and moved a little he didn't seem to feel or notice it. a few strands of his hair had fallen in his face while he slept. His arms protectively around her.
After a short while however he began to move just a little before he woke and stretched out just a bit. Unaware that she was awake he yawned, his sharp fangs showing.

Meryl giggled, "Well, Vincent, we'll be sure to meet at your castle nest time so we can have the giggling contest, and then we can make each other jealous." she laughed lightly.
Lucien rolled his eyes, but with a smile on his face, "Here we go..." he said.
His wife gave him a look, "What do you mean?" she asked, raising an eyebrow while waiting for an explanation.
"You know what I mean... When you get competitive..." he hinted at her, returning Meryl's look right back at her.
Meryl wagged her head, similar to how one might see Jesilyn do, "I didn't say it was going to turn into a competitive match..." she justified with a smile. She then looked to Vincent, "Do you think there is a need to check on them, Vincent, or are you merely curious if they've fallen for each other yet?" she smiled.
Noticing the locks of hair, Jesilyn moved the hair from his face ever-so-gently. She moved her hand away quickly, however, when Jack began to stretch out, waking, she guessed. She saw his fangs when he yawned, and instinctively began to move away, but stopped herself. 'It's just Jack...' she reminded herself. Jesilyn had nearly forgotten that Jack was a vampire and what it meant to be one. She looked at him, watching his face. It was hard for her to believe anymore that people who were as kind and sweet as Jack and Vincent could drink blood. Briefly, she wondered what his mother was like as she watched him, and then wondered even more what it was like where he lived.

Vincent laughed and laughed. Soon enough he couldn't stop any more. Which resulted in him crying even due laughing. When he slowly came to a stop he nodded. "You're welcome any time, my dear!" he said and wiped at his eyes with his sleeves, sometimes Vincent was still such a kid.
At the question if he were curious he nodded. "I'm very curious indeed." he chuckled. Then he just looked at the others and rubbed his head a bit. "But...maybe we should leave them alone."
Slowly he popped his back and neck before he looked down at the Elven girl beside him. "Hi." he whispered briefly before he stroked her hair. "Did you sleep well?" the young man rubbed his face with a hand before he slightly shifted so he could lay on his side. Jack smiled sweetly but then it hit him, they were laying with one other as if they were a couple, a married one at that. With a deep blush he rolled back over and sat up, grumbling softly to himself as he got up. He made sure his shirt was untugged from his trousers as he moved to the window and slightly opened the curtains. It was still early in the morning.

Lucien laughed along with Vincent, unable to stop himself at seeing the other man laughing. He laughed even more with what he said to the queen, who laughed a bit as well. "Thank you, Vincent." she said with a giggle, "As for the children, I think it best to leave them awhile longer. Also, I think it would be a good idea for me to head to bed soon. Lucien?" she asked, looking towards her husband. He nodded, "As much as I enjoy our time together, dear friend, I am no where near as nocturnal as you." he said with a smile.
Jesilyn smiled a bit as she watched him, giggling at his small 'hi' for a greeting. She lay facing him when he rolled over to face her. She liked lying like that with him- there was an intimacy like a secret were between them, and as though no one could hear but them. However, he moved so suddenly, it startled her. She pushed herself up, so she was half sitting and she looked at him, "What's wrong?" she asked, confused, not having seen his blush. 'Why did he move so suddenly? What did I do?' she wondered silently. Suddenly he was all business. Rearranging his clothes, opening curtains... Not looking at her. Offended, she too moved from the bed, "I'm sorry, I suppose I've over stayed my welcome.." she said quietly, but her aggravation showing her her voice. She swooped down and grabbed her shoes, then headed for the door.

VIncent chuckled and nodded. "Yes." he simply agreed before he rested his head in his hand. When the queen clearly stated that she was getting tired Vincent bowed his head. "It's only natural." he stated and gave the man a wide smile. "We have plenty of time to catch up!" he said before he got up and headed to the door himself. "I'm guessing the same quarters as always?" he stated before he opened the door, to hold it open for his friends.
When she asked him what was wrong he indeed hadn't paid much attention. But when she was about to leave he suddenly turned around. "Oh, Jesilyn, please...don't go. It was just...I felt really awkward. " he stated and looked at her. He brushed his hair from his face again before he looked at her. "I really enjoy my time with you." he said, he was sounding almost desperate for her to stay. "It was just...the way we were, kinda seemed as if we are a couple." he said and blushed in a deep red. "n-not that I would mind it if we were...." with that sentence his voice was really low and soft. Almost embarrassed.

The elves stood along with Vincent, "Of course you do. I know how much you like it." Meryl smiled. Thanking him for holding the door, they filed out of the room and walked towards the corridor that led to the hall where the three of them had their rooms. When the reached Vincent's, Meryl curtsied politely and headed into the room, leaving Lucien to bid him goodnight and whatever last minute exchange between men that might occur. Also, she was far too tired to stay awake and chat. Lucien watched his wife walk away with a smile, "We kept the room how you had it last time, I hope that is okay." he said, standing with Vincent outside the door. "You're welcome to move anything you like, of course." he smiled..
She did pause when her name was said, but she only half turned when he asked her not to go. Jesilyn was not convinced enough with his simple statement of enjoying their time that he actually wanted her to stay. His suddenly becoming distant the way he did and not listening to her had actually hurt her- she had been under the impression there was a certain closeness between them, even in the short time that they had known each other. Watching him and his embarrassed movements, she listened to his explanation, but waited to reply. At first, she just didn't want to say anything, but then, she was unsure of what to say. Though, the nervous way he tried to explain that he did so because of how they seemed like a couple, but then he tried to save himself from offending her by saying he wouldn't mind if they were. It was an odd thing to say, she thought, but she didn't think he meant anything by it. "I hadn't thought of it that way... I thought it was just between friends." she said, picking at a loose thread from one of her shoes, "Not that I've had many friends to distinguish between the two, but we seemed close that way... Right?" she asked, glancing up nervously.
'What if I do have feelings for him?' she thought, looking over his face. Perhaps it was because she was the first boy she had been close too. He was most certainly the first one she had been close enough to to spend the night with. To Jesilyn, it was nothing more than that. Despite the cuddling when they knew they were both in more normal forms, she didn't think it was a big deal. Surprisingly, Jesilyn was confused about how she was feeling at that point. Maybe she did like him, but she wasn't sure that was quite the case. Was it supposed to be that complicated with friends?

The black haired man smiled politely at Meryl and bowed his head sweetly. "Sleep tight." he wished her before he turned to Lucien and smiled. "You really make me jealous now." he laughed softly. "Ah, that's wonderful, thank you!" Vincents eyes moved briefly to Meryl before he looked back at his friend with a sweet and soft look in his eyes. "You're my best friend, Lucien. You can't do anything wrong in my eyes." he smiled before he gave the man a firm pat on the shoulder. "Thank you." with that he kissed Lucien on the cheek before he opened the door. "Sleep tight, my friend."
Jack was just so embarrassed. His feet seemed to kick at air and hishead was low. He looked more like a sweet schoolboy that was about to receive his first punishment for wrong doing. He was so shy about the subject. His hands were neatly behind his back as he seemed to shrink, he wished he could do such a thing though.
When she stated that he wasn't sure on how to respond to it.
HE looked at the ground. "well...we are close friends, right? Even if we've met just now...I feel like we're the closest friends can get." slowly he looked up. He was just so unsure of his feelings. He would speak to his father about this soon. Perhaps he had a few answers.
Slowly he sat back down on the bed and pulled his hair back into a ponytail. "Anyway...I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings just now. I-I'm not so sure about myself."

Lucien smiled and then listened to everything else Vincent said, "As are you, my friend, you are the best I have." he said, patting Vincent as well. "Goodnight." the king said with a bow, before walking off to join his wife.
Walking back and leaning against the high post of the bed that held up the canopy, she watched him. He looked so innocent standing there, and so confused. Jack seemed about as unsure of himself as Jesilyn was of herself. She watched as he moved and sat down on the bed, and she turned to face him. "I like to think we're very close, especially considering the time we've known each other. I already feel like you're my best friend." she took a deep breath to collect her thoughts and then let it out quickly, "Truth be told, I do feel very strongly for you, Jack, I feel very attached, but... I am not sure how I feel attached. But I know we are friends, and it seems right to me to be such. Best friends, I dare say..." she smiled, blushing a bit at having admitted what she had. Knowing her wording was awkward, she hoped he would understand how unsure of herself she was as well. Never having to deal with something like that before, she had no idea how to distinguish one feeling from the other.

Vincent then slipped into his bedroom and smiled. Ah, it was so good to be with his friends. Chuckling the man got changed into his sleeping attire and sat in the windowsill, just to look over the lands. It was always so pretty.
The redhead vampire blushed and looked at her with a soft look in his eyes. "I'm glad you think of me that way. Because I think the very same of you." he whispered. When she said that she was feeling something more to him but didn't know what his heart seemed to skip a beat and he blushed deeper. "Only time can tell, perhaps." he said before he got up again and smiled slightly at her. "Well...S-shall we...erm...get ready for breakfast?" he suggested, wanting to change the subject as soon as possible.

[size="1"]There seemed to be a misundertanding between them, occuring from Jesliyn's words, but she couldn't tell where she'd gone wrong. At least she'd said how she felt and what she was thinking, she thought, looking on the positive side. If there was a misunderstanding, it would be cleared up eventually. "Yes, let's go. I'm sure something's ready by now, they usually start early." Jesilyn said, smiling a bit, "Do you still want to go for that ride?"

The young vampire looked at her and smiled. "That's good." he smiled. He got changed quickly in something clean, thank god there was a screen in the room, where he could change behind. He didn't quite wanted to show off his body. There was no need for her to see him half naked, right?
When he was done he then looked at her. "The ride sounds lovely!" he said as he moved to her and carefully placed a hand on her lower back to urge her to lead him. He was still pretty much oblivious in the castle and he didn't want to get lost.
Meanwhile Vincent was also up and about. However for some reason he was anxious about something. He was constantly looking from his window, over the main road. He had a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach and he had sensed that someone familiar was approaching the castle. Sighing he fixed his shirt and vest before he stepped out of his bedroom, shaking off the feeling that he had.

When he moved behind the screen to change she looked away, trying to find something to distract herself with. Her eyes rested upon a glass decoration on the bedside table, which reflected the light from a candle inside it to make the glass seem to glow, even though at that moment the candle was not lit. She found herself fascinated by the way it was crafted, the contours of the glass and such. When he came back out and moved his hand to her lower back she blushed slightly. Jesilyn assumed that he was trying to tell her to take the lead, but she interjected his plan, "I should change as well. It is not very becoming of me to wear the same, crinkled gown I slept in a second day." she laughed, "Come on." she said, grabbing his hand and pulling him towards her room. It was his turn for the awkward changing part.
When they reached her room, she turned the glass knob and pushed the light blue colored door open and revealed the equally light colored room. There were soft blues and pale pink accents: The canopy bed with its twisting rails were white, and the bedding was blue and pink embroidered, the same was with the drapes and the carpet was an even lighter blue. "You can sit.. pretty much any where." she laughed, opening her wardrobe, and going through for something decent enough to ride in. Of course, Jesilyn always wore riding pants under the dress, but if her mother ever found out, she'd be in a world of trouble. Princesses are not supposed to wear pants, it is improper her mother's words echoed in her head.
Finally finding a simple brown and beige dress that the riding pants would blend in with if seen, she took it out, and the pants from a drawer and announced, "I'll be right back." as she walked quickly into the room adjacent to hers- her bath, which had only a thin opaque screen door. Changing quickly, she also found a comb in the bathroom and tried to manage to do something with her hair. It had become so untamed, even after being combed through twice. It twisted every which way, and wouldn't stay in place to make it look presentable. In the end, she pulled it into two low ponytails, and managed to make them look decent, at the least. Before she walked from the room, she splashed cool water on her face and dabbed it away. Looking in the long glass mirror, she shrugged. It would do, she decided, then walked out to meet again with Jack. "Any idea what you would like to see first?" she asked, trying to get an idea of which way to lead him.

When she stated that she should change as well he nodded and smiled. "Okay." he chuckled before he blushed when she grabbed his hand and dragged him towards her room. He just followed her and wandered in slowly when she opened the door. "Whoah..." he stated. "It's like a dream." he whispered as if it were a secret. Blushing he moved around a bit before he sat down on a chair that stood by the small writing desk. He glanced around before he looked at her.
"Take your time." he stated as he just admired the wonders of her room. Everything was well crafted, he wouldn't mind sleeping in a room like this everyday! It was just so much different than the Gothic style he was used to. Compared to this, his homeland style was dark and very depressing...
He was shaken from his thoughts when she asked what he would like to see first. Slowly he shook his head. "No, I don't. Just show me the spots you like best." he stated as he got up and smiled at her. However he too then felt a familiar presence heading their way. "Ah...erm...Why don't you go get something to eat? I need to have a word with my father. He gets worried quite easily, you know." he stated and slowly moved back to the door.
