I nodded and then remembered that she couldn't see me.
"Yeah, its great," I said as I shifted my bed as close as I could. I then lay down and mulled over what she said. "Yeah, I think I heard that too. You know the new nurse? Young one with mousy hair and pointy nose? Well when I called her in to ask a favour she had this huge needle in her hands that was full of this really bright green goo. She said she was going to give it to another patient. I think I would scream too if that was pushed into me." I shuddered. I could see through the crack that Miyah was smiling, I smiled back at her, well, I grinned back, hoping she could see. |
Miyah laughed. "I think it would be quite entertaining to see or hear you scream." she told him. She smiled again when she saw him smile, or grin. "Green goo huh? That's strange..." she said softly. She then turned over and got her journal out from between her mattresses. She flipped to a page, knowing that Jayce could see her, and wrote the information about the bright green goo in the needle that Jayce saw, and the screaming.

I crinkled my nose at her and shook my head. "Nah, I make way too much of a noise for it to be entertaining. Marshall is the one you want to see."
I watched her take out a diary and write something down, she was aware that I was watching her. "Whats that?" I asked her dumbly even though I knew, well guessed. "How did you smuggle that in here anyway? There are rules on personal belongings." |
Miyah smirked at his comment. "I'm sure he would be entertaining as well." she replied. She grinned at his question. "I have my ways.." she replied coyly. "Is there anything you need?" she asked. "Any personal thing you need from your place?" she asked, putting her journal inbetween her mattresses once more. She had written a piece about her meeting Jayce and Marshall, she had even sketched him in there.

I laughed. She certainly did have her ways. I watched her put her journal back under her bed and I considered my answer.
"Yeah actually. Thats what I was talking to the nurse about. I was wanting her to send someone over to my storage locker up in the Lights District so they could get me my guitar. It would certainly brighten the dull monotony of this place anyway," I said to her and rolled on my back. "You should make them get us some decent music. Like some gangsta shit!" Marshall said loudly. I groaned. "That music is rubbish M." "Lets ask the lady dooshe! What do you think of gangsta rap?" |
Miyah grinned and laid on her side, her head on her pillow as she looked at Jayce through the crack. "Sorry Marshall, I don't like rap. I like techno and rock." she told them with a laugh. She played with a piece of her hot pink hair, eyeing it with interest. "It's in the Lights District you said?" she asked, making sure she knew there it would be. "What locker and what's the combination?" she asked, glancing at him through the crack.

I laughed. "No-one likes rap."
Marshall was not impressed. "Least I ain't into no pop that is only designed to sell records. They is made for teens and losers! You is the loser!" I shook my head and turned to face Miyah. "Yeah, its in the Lights District, you know, up near the Palms Springs complex? Its in Sals Storage locker 309. Combination: 3-4-8-9. My date of birth. I had to choose something simple like that so I would remember that," I laughed and rolled back over, my mind churning. "Wait. Why do you want to know? Can you get it for me?" |
Miyah laughed at Marshall. "Sorry Marshall." she sang out with a giggle. She memorized the combo and locker number. "Wait you're twenty?" she asked. "And like I said, I have my ways." she told him, giving him a mishevious look. "These beds kinda suck huh?" she said with a laugh, popping her back slightly.

I grinned smugly as she laughed at Marshall, who did not take being made fun of very well.
"You don't have the right to laugh at me! No-one does! No-one you hear?!" "We can't help hearing Marshall," I soothedand then turned to Miyah again. "Yeah, I am twenty, nearly twenty one. Kinda sucks that my twenty first birthday is going to be spent in here. No fun. No Party. No presents. Sucks." I smiled, she certainly did have her ways, plus she looked so innocent no-one would suspect her. I considered for a moment, wriggling around on the bed. "Definately. Would it kill them to get a better matress, this one is all lumpy, like its being filled with straw or something," I complained. |
Miyah grinned. "Ooh Marshall, I'm real scared." she mocked playfully. "That does suck Jayce. You're not the only one spending a birthday here." she told him. "September eighteenth, I'll only be nineteen." she said sadly. She shifted on the bed. "I should be able to get your guitar sometime this week." she then muttered into the pillow. "Hell I think straw would be more comfortible than these crappy beds." she laughed softly.

Marshall started a little rant to himself, going on about how "we losers were going to get it" and that "he was going to teach some lessons that no-one would forget" but I just coughed and talked over him. "Oh, thats a long way off, you may be released by then," I said happily unsure why she sounded so glum. "Thank you Miyah, I really appreciate it." I laughed too. "I think my bed is made of straw." |
Miyah laughed. "I highly doubt it. Whatever they say I have will probably keep me here for a while. It's kind of hard not to scream when a random ass penguin pops up infront of you." she said with a soft chuckle at herself. "Don't worry about it." she replied, laying on her back and staring up at the ceiling.

(I'm back. It was allright depending on what you class as fun, though a family gathering that ends with a sprained wrist is not usually the best >.<)
I considered for a moment. "True. I guess that we will just have to have two little cellebrations for our birthdays. Perhaps you could smuggle in a birthday cake or the likes? One big enough for you me, Marshall, Vern and Jack obviously." "Nah, invest in a pole dancer who lets you scoop vodka from her belly button. Thats what I call a party!" Marshall said excitedly. "You can stick your cake where the sun don't shine, I want a bit of action, though with him its like living with a nun." I sighed. "Ignore him. He wouldsn't know a good time if it came up and bit him. Though our birthdays aren't for ages yet so perhaps I should hold off on the preperations. What with the experements and druggings and things who knows if we will even have the appetite for cake. I mean its one thing not taking our medecation, or like myself taking it in a way it can't effect me, but when they start with the injections and things for us you know that there is no way we can beat them." |

Miyah rolled her eyes. "Marshall you're disgusting. Do you know how many diseases they have?" she asked, making a face and shuddering slightly. "I might be able to work a cake in somewhere. As for the experiments, lets just hope they won't start on us any time soon." she said with a sigh. "I really don't want to know what that green crap will do to me." she told him. "Yea, let's not let them know that we aren't technically taking the medication." she added, chewing on her lower lip. |
Marshall laughed loudly.
"yeah girl, thats what makes it fun. Sorta like a lucky dip, you never know what you gonna catch from those chicks." I shook my head. "Miyah is right, your disgusting." "Nah, you is just a faggot." "Anyway," I said loudly. " I am sure they won't start on us...I think that the scream came from down the west corridor, if they are working their way up then we will be one of the last. Though it could just be random, you know, going by what conditions we have. We may not even have the green stuff. We could have something worse." I shuddered as Marshall laughed cruelly. "Yeah, ya'll could be forced to eat the slop they serve up in that hole down stairs!" I shook my head and turned to Miyah. "Don't worry. There isn't too much that they can do about it. I mean, we shouldn't have to stay here. They don't need to find out. It can be our little secret...sort of like the crack." |
Miyah make a fake gagging noise at Marshall's comment.
"Yea that's true..." she said softly, sighing as she shifted and laid on her back. "Let's just hope it isn't any time soon..." she murmured. She pulled out her journal again and started to sketch in it, rolling over onto her stomach so she could draw better. "We should probably get some rest.." she told him, giving up on her sketch. She put it back under her mattress and smiled at him, pulling her hair out of the ponytail and letting her hair fall around her shoulders and onto the bed. |
