Anna gave Hikako space, but walked close behind him. As he was waiting for the water to boil, she looked through the cupboards to find tea cups and flavor grains. "Would you like to tell me what you're keeping from me?" she asked.

Hikako looked mostly at the water in the pot slowly coming to a boil as a tear suddenly dropped into the water. "I-....Its.....ju-just......I-...I.....know...I cant sa-save him......Mam-Mamoru......he wi-will die......an-and....its because of me." he said with a shakened voice as he felt regret for all his actions up until now.

Anna immediately turned around and hugged him. With her left hand, she held his and with her right she wiped away another tear. "Don't feel bad, just tell me what happened." she said gently. She carefully pushed his hair out of his face and nodded.

As Hikako felt Anna hug him and wipe his tear away, he still frowned a bit and looked at her. "Mamoru....as you know already...he is very sick.....I was young at the time.....I always did like taking care of him.....I didnt know at first what was wrong with him....so I thought, maybe he could get better one day..." he said sadly as he looked back towards the boiling water. "Bu-but when I heard him tell me....he was going to die soon...I-......I couldnt take it.....I left him.....bec-becaus-because I was afraid.....I didnt....I couldnt.....and I wouldnt accept the fact of him dying.."

Anna nodded and showed she understood. "Hikako, if you need to face your fear and stay here, go ahead. I'll stay with you if needed. But choose quickly and wisely because I'm tired and need to sleep somewhere soon." she said with a small laugh. "What would you like to do?"

As Hikako heard Anna laugh a little, he started to smile a bit gently. "I-If you need to sleep......there is an extra room.....right next to Mamoru's room.....he kept it there...for me.....when I helped him try to get better....I'm sure its still clean.....he seemed to be able to get up alot more then usual....I'm sure he cleaned it..." he said as he looked at the water and picked up the pot walking over to the glass cups that already had the tea leaves inside.

Anna nodded and kissed him. "Just as long as you dont leave without me."

Hikako nodded a bit back to Anna as he turned around and kissed her back gently. "I wont....I promise......" he said as he picked up the cup of tea and started to walk towards Mamoru's room.

Anna led herself to the room. It was very cute and a warm feeling place and as Hikako said it was incredibly clean. She laid down and went to sleep.

As Hikako walked into Mamoru's room he put the cup of tea on the table next to the bed. "Sorry I took so long.....the water took a bit longer to boil then usual." he said as the old man shook his head a bit gently and smiled. "Do-dont worry........Hikako.......your still young.....take yo-your time.....I understand...." he said a bit weakly as he turned to the side and coughed a bit violently.

Anna woke up and looked around for Hikako. "Mornin." she said.

As Hikako heard Anna, he was sitting inside Mamoru's room as he looked back at her and smiled a bit. "Good morning there sleepyhead." he said as he looked back towards sleeping on his bed.

Anna walked up behind him and put her arms around his neck. "Morning. How's he doin?" she asked.

Hikako smiled a bit as placed his arms around her waist and looking up at her. "I'm sure hes doing fine.....I think I kind of passed out before he did." he said with a little quiet laugh.

"Well now that you've had your rest, I need to know if you want to stay here or go back to our homes." Anna said.

Hikako smiled as he looked at Mamoru sleep a little. "I'm sure he'll be okay......lets go home together." he said as he got up to his feet and kept his arms around Anna.

Anna nodded and started walking.

After a while, they were walking in the directioni of his house. "Would you mind if I just stayed at your house?"

Hikako's eyes widened a bit as he looked at Anna walk with him towards his house. "Y-you want to g-go to m-m-my house?" he asked as he looked towards the direction of his house a bit and nodded a little. "Uhm.......i-if you really want to....th-then sure." he said with a soft smile.

After a few mintues of walking they finally reached his house as the front yard was clean and still in the neirborhood where Mamoru lived. "My......my yard....i-its clean.....b-b-but how.....I never...came back to this house....nor did I cut the grass.....how is it...clean." he asked himself as he looked at the house wondering if the inside would be as clean.

"That's strange..."Anna said. She walked inside and looked around. Everything was clean and perfectly in place.

When Hikako walked inside, he looked around with Anna seeing how everything was neat and tidy. "Wh--wh-who could've done this?" he asked himself as he looked all the walls seeing how they had a new paintjob. Could this have been Mamoru too?...........no......It cant be....hes too old. he thought as he started to walk all around his house.

Anna tapped on Hikako's back and raised an eyebrow. "Do you know anything about this?" she asked.

As Hikako turned around to Anna, he smiled and shrugged his shoulders. "I have no clue....thats what I'm trying to figure out myself." he said as he started to walk upstairs to his room. When he reached the door, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

((Oooh the suspense!))

Anna grabbed his free hand and nodded. "Don't be afraid. It's not like a hungry lion's going to jump out at you."
