He pulled Hikako away and inside for some shelter. "I'm sorry Hikako."

Hikako wiped his tears away and looked at his father. "W-what for? you didnt do anything..." he said sadly.

"Just because I got you into this mess." he said.
|
Hikako looked at his father sadly. "Dont worry father....its not your fault....I dont blame you...." He sat down on the floor and looked at the grave.

"I've searched your entire life for you." he said quietly.
|
Hikako looked up at his father in wonder. "Y-you searched my life?....w-what do you mean?" he asked worriedly.

"I've looked for you starting the day your mother died." he said.
|
Hikako looked back down to the floor. "You looked for me.......?" He suddenly thought about how he was seperated from his parents, he didnt want to ask because he had a feeling it was going to be heartbreaking. Hikako's heart was already broken into pieces just knowing his mother was dead.

"Yes, for 21 years." he said quietly.

Hikako was shocked to hear his father say that he was searching for him for 21 years, but yet he looked so much younger. "Father.....? how old.....exactly are you?" he said questionbly.

"52." he answered.
|
Hikako gasped and backed up quickly, his father had told him how old he was, but his face looked so young. "Father......why are you lying to me?" he asked sadly.

"Lying? Why would I lie?" he asked.
|
Hikako looked to his mother's grave and back at his father. "How....are you so young looking then?......" he asked with wonder in his eyes.

"That'd be my magic." he said.
|
"M-magic....?" Hikako said nervously, he knew his father could do magic but never knew of a de-aging spell. "Father...how long.....how long have you known magic?" he wondered if his father's ability to do magic was why he himself was able to learn white magic so quickly.

"Since you were born." he said quietly.

Hikako jumped back quickly and fell into the rain. "S-since I was born?......father...what....what are you?" He said nervously.

"A human being...why?" he asked.
|
Hikako got up and walked back over to his mother's grave. "Father.....why didnt you save her, why me?.....you know as well as I do, there is a spell for keeping someone alive for someone else life." he said sadly.

"Yes, but she was ready. The Fates decided it was her time." he said.

Hikako looked down angrily. "....Fate?.....so, you let mother die....because of fate?..." he turned around and looked at his father. "How could you!?!"

"No, the Fates. There's a difference." he said as he nodded.
|
"The fates?..." he asked worriedly. "Are you saying that there are people known as the fates that killed mother?"
|
"Not...necessarily." he answered.
