Shiloh smiled because he had chased her up the stairs and watched as he looked back at her door as if it were some kind of wish. Should she fall asleep on her bed or visit him in his room? Maybe in a few minutes after taking a small cat nap. Smiling she closed the door and walked over to her bed. Once she got on she almost immediately fell asleep curled up like the cat she was. Her tail was only moving at the tip and it moved up and down tapping on the bed.

Helios relaxed his brow. "Well, when asked I said I had a lot of blood to clean up and the shopkeep and his mother called me a freak and maybe a murderer. " He said. He had a child like innocence about everything. He didn't understand why people would say such things about him when he was answering honsetly. "I don't understand it, Kira." He said, turning his sad like eyes on her. He set the bleach down on the counter, pleased that she had praised him for doing a good job. He had just realized that he was hungry. He fingered the fruit he had pocketed when he left the marketplace, he would put it in his room later.

After a few minutes of just looking out the window, Toby hauled himself out of the window onto the roof above it, swinging up and balancing carefully on the top. He made his way quickly and quietly to the highest point of the roof that offered sitting room, and sat with his back against the nearest spot he could. He looked down at the street, wondering what his sister was doing. Probably working happily, singing away without a though or care in the world.

He smiled as he imagined her, but soon his thoughts turned to Shiloh and Samuel. He wasn't sure what it was, but he felt close to both of them already. He also felt something of a longing, now that he was away from Shiloh, and wondered what it could be. As he looked up into the sky, he almost swore he saw her face in it, but he knew it was just him imagining her face. He shook his head, then leaned back and closed his eyes, content with the cool breeze around him.

Kira looked at the boy and put her hand on his face for a second in a sympathetic way. "Dont worry about it... Next time dont say your going to clean up blood. Just say your going to do some cleaning ok? If you do say your cleaning blood just say that someone in your house had a bad cut or something when they walked inside.... Leaving it open like that would make people suspect things ok?" She said smiling at him as she took the bleach and filled a bucket a little bit with it. She brought out the mop and handed it to him. "First you do this and ill go out and clear it up with the man and woman alright?" She patted him on the back then without waiting for an answer she walked outside and went towards the people who sold the bleach. The man and woman were looking at her as she approached and smiled. "Hi... You sold some bleach to a man who had wings earlier but you called him a freak and murderer. Let me explain the blood. My brother got a rather large cut on his leg and it was just dripping everywhere. Thats why we needed the bleach. Please dont speculate like that again. It hurt him." She said. The shock on their faces turned to apologetic but she didnt feel like listening so she walked back home leaving it where it was.

Helios was a bit surprised but nodded. He wasn't quite used to normal people just yet. He mopped away happily, humming as he did. He thought about what Kira told him, wondering why he had to say lies about things. He merely shrugged it off as he scrubbed a stubborn blood stain.

Kira walked back, smiling and laughing away at the faces of the people when they wanted to apologize. It was priceless. When she got inside the house, she saw that Helios had started on the floor. She looked at him with her smile seemingly plastred on her face. "Oh I wish i wouldve brought you. It would have been priceless to see their faces when they saw you then when they heard the new they had been spreading was a stupid lie." She looked down at the floor and smiled as she saw some of the blood had been completely wiped away like it shouldve. "Your doing a great job. Oh and by the way. What i told them was sort of the truth mixed in with a lie. If you have to tell them the truth dont go to to many extremes or people will think you really are who they say you are then your enemy number one for a while." She said smiling as if saying as a matter of fact that almost just happened. She wasnt being mean or anything. Actually she was talking in a sweet voice that had just got finished laughing.

Helios smiled at Kira when she returned. He paused for a moment and leaned on the mop a little. He had been hovering over the floor as he mopped it so he souldn't dirty it any further. "OH? How strange. Then again I'm not very used to people. I have lived alone for so long. Then I got captured and locked away in a cell." He said, thinking about it. "My social skills aren't up to par." He said with a shy smile. "I'll try to keep that in mind, next time." He said. He was usually brutually honset with people when he actually spoke to anyone.

Kira laughed. "Getting locked up in a cage with no social skills. What were those men thinking?" She said jokingly. When she looked back at Helios from her eyes being closed from the laughter she noticed he was floating off the ground to keep it clean. "Ill teach you some social skills as long as we live together ok?" She asked hoping that he was fine with it. It wouldnt make her mad if he wasnt of course but she prolly wouldnt send him out on too many errand runs.

Helios smiled broadly, he couldn't remember a time he smiled so much. "That sounds nice." He said. "It would help me not embarass you or Gio." He said, finishing up the floor. "Some of those stains are very stubborn." He said, trying to spot any more bloody stains on the floor. He wondered where Gio had been hiding this whole time, not sure weither he ought to ask or not. He also wanted to go visit Shiloh next door, to see how she was doing.

"How about lessons start tomorrow ok?" Kira said as she grabbed a bucket, filled it with bleach, added water and headed upstairs. She didnt want Helios seeing that the blood went all the way to her room. That might just make him worry about what was going on. It was nice that he was happy now with the teaching that would happen and the fact that he was cleaning. She wondered where Gio had gone so that she could give him something to do as well. Pushing it from her mind, she started to clean the floor pretending to start from Gio's room then went to hers which was closer to the stairs. Helios was right. The stains were extremely hard to get rid of.

Samuel looked around the Market after his meeting. I wonder what Shiloh and Toby have been doing since ive been gone. He thought to himself. Walking back he saw many new slaves that were being bought. There was also talk of a murder where the murderer asked for bleach to clean up the blood. He had wings that looked like a bird. There was another rumor that it was false. His master had come to clear it up and teach the people a lesson with a rude mouth. They must have been talking about Kira and her new slave. Oh well he had to think about home and what Shiloh and Toby would be doing or what he might do with them when he got home. They probably cleaned knowing them. He got home and walked through the door seeing a completely cleaned and shiny place. "Shiloh, Toby Im home." He yelled.

When he heard the front door open, Toby's ears perked up, and he slid down the roof to his window, which his swung down and slid into. He quickly straightened his outfit, then headed out and stopped at the top of the stairs, bowing down at him. "Welcome home, Master Samuel. If you are hungry, there is Curry and Rice in the kitchen, and I would be happy to prepare anything else you might need." He kept his head bowed until Sam told him otherwise.

Samuel walked over to Toby and lifted him in his bow. "Hello Toby. I have a few things i should tell you. I think of you more like a companion than a slave so you dont have to bow. You dont need to call me master. Call me samuel." He said smiling "And thank you for the food. You dont have to cook or clean all the time. The work will be divided up." He patted Toby on the shoulder and started to walk to the kitchen. A thought came to his head and her turned back to Toby from the doorway of the kitchen. "Where is Shiloh?"

Gio popped up in the kitchen where he had been cleaning. The thoughts of last night were getting to him as he looked around. Finally he stepped out to find Helios cleaning the floor with what smelled like bleach as well as Kira upstairs doing the same. "You two have been out for a while. What is it that you would like me to do Kira? Anything else in particular?" He was looking at both of them but Kira seemed very tasty at this point just from the blood he had drank from her. He wanted to control his blood lust so he just didnt go near her. Instead he stayed close to Helios hoping that he had a good night at the party and knew nothing about what he was cleaning up.

Helios smiled softly at Gio as he reappeared from wherever he was hiding. "Good Day, Gio!" He chirped happily. He never knew the joys of cleaning before and he found that he enjoyed it a lot. Helios had landed on the clean floor, his new shoes making a slight squeaking noise. The floor had dried rather quickly due to the soft beating of his wings when he was mopping. "I'm all done in here, Kira." He said, standing slightly between the two. Helios could feel that soemthing us up between them, he wasn't sure what, but he felt he needed to be between them.

Toby looked up with an embarresed smile. "Right, sorry Mast- I mean, Samuel. As for cooking every night, I enjoy cooking, so it would not be much like work for me. If you wish to cook, you may, but it would be more a privalige then a chore to cook for this household." He bowed just slightly, more respectfully then servently, then looked up at his next question. "Shiloh went to her room, to get some rest. I believe she is still there, unless she left it without my knowledge, which would not be impossible."

Samuel looked over at Toby a little dumbstruck for a minute. He was a very polite young man who seemed to want to get his point across about the cooking. "Its no problem Toby. You can cook for us all you like just every once in a while i would like to cook as well" He said with a cheerful smile. "You said she was upstairs right?... Oh and i got you something" Samuel rumaged through the bag he had with him. Finally he pulled out a nice jacket for him just for the winter. "here you go... Im gunna go get Shiloh" He started to walk upstairs.

Gio looked over at Helios. "Hey whats up?" he said smiling at Helios. "So you guys are cleaning up 'my' blood huh?" He knew what Kira was trying to do. Sh ewas trying to make sure as few people knew as possible. He shook his head as Helios stood between him and her. "If theres anything you need ill be getting something to drink."
He watched as Kira looked at him and started to speak.

Kira looked at Gio who had just walked in. "Hey Gio. When your done with your drink can you make dinner for Helios and i?" She knew he would say yes since he was after all a slave though she didnt feel like that. She started the mop down the stairs so that the blood would be finally picked up. She liked the fact that Gio didnt tell Helios the truth.

Helios' stomach grumbled at the mentioned of food. His eyes darted about, his hand fingering around his pockets. He felt as if there was something unsaid about Gio's so called blood on the floor. He decided that if they wanted to tell him what was going on they would at their own pace. "May I go freshen up?" He asked Kira after he had put away the mop and the bucket of bleach. He rinsed off his hands in the sink then dried them on the towel as he turned to her.

Toby nodded. "Of course, Mast- Samuel. You have the right to cook in your own home, of course, and I did not mean to imply I would stop you from doing so in any way." His eyes widened at the gift, which he took carefully. "Why, thank you. I am grateful, Samuel, for this gift." He bowed to him, then followed him upstairs as he headed for Shiloh's room. "This is the first gift anyone but my sister has ever given me."
