"Huh? I knew there was something strange about her." He sighed, "Well what have we here Marina." He said her name gently, and pointed at what she put on the table.

Marina surged " its just a cell phone" She said then realized he had no idea what that was " It allows you to talk to someone who has either a telephone or a cell if they have a telephone then they would be at home, but if you called another cell phone then they could be anywhere in the world" She explained before he could even ask.

"Oh um....hmmmm....That's odd doesn't anyone use letters anymore?" He sighed, "The world sure has changed since I was, err, young." He shrugged. then moved to put things back they way they needed to be.

She chuckled and shook her head " That's only for when we want to ship a present to someone or have bought something from over seas." She told him lightly

Karolek was lost, "That is strange, do you nolonger enjoy the sight of a letter from a lost friend? Or is hearing the voice better. He sat in a chair and waved the dust cloud away.

She smiled " much better"She assured him," she seemed far off as if him mentioning lost friends brought someone to her mind.

"Yeah I guess your right", he motioned for Marina to come over to him as he stood, "I suppose your tired, I would like to show you a room you can sleep in." He smiled, and offered his arm.

She nodded lightly and gave a soft sigh as he extended his arm to her, she took it but couldn;t help remarking " never had a man escort me before" She said lightly

"Well I'm over 150 years old, I was raised to escort women and treat them as if they are truely special." He Smiled and led her down another hallway to a set of two rooms, "I'll be sleeping when you wake up, if you need anything well go to town at twilight. I also would like to not to open my sleeping chamber It does not do me good to be woken in the night."

She nodded Lightly " don't worry I will change my sleeping schedule to better suit yours" She told him lightly as she slipped into the room " good night" She said before she closed the door and found something heavy to place in front of it. she did not know ihm after all. not to mention someone had tried to rape her before, if Terra hadn't come along then she probably wouldn't be here right now.

Karolek, sighed and leaned against the wall. He wispered to himself, "What have I gotten into?" He went back down to his basement and picked up his instrument, he played through, his own composition, before he went for his 3 am walk.

Marina did not go to sleep untill the sun was fully up, however she did spend the rest of teh night texting her sister to see if something could be done....nothing could. marina sighed lightly and simply agreed for Terra to send some of her stuff over the next night. this way she could get a nice change of cloths and have some things to do.

Karolek sighed as he returned to his room. He opened his sleeping chamber and lay down then closed it over top of him to wait for the raising sun to set again.

once about midday came along Marina knew she would be able to sleep and so she did. she slept until the sun was fully down and a few moments after her host rose from his sleep.

He sat up and used the power of his people to dispel the dirt of the day before. "Morning world." He was cheerful today as he went to his instrument he had forgotten about his guest and followed routine then walked and played the clarinet till he got to her door. "Morning sunshine." he called quietly through the door hoping she wasn't in to bad of shape.

She couldn't help but chuckle lightly as she heard his cheerful voice through the door " morning" She called back as she rose out of bed and straightened her hair and clothing.

"So are you ready to go shopping for human things, after breakfast." He ended quietly. He was hungry he heard it in his body.

She opened the door, and nodded " Sure" She looked him up and down and knew he was hungry. she moved her hair to one side and moved her head to expose her neck " you can feed if you want just don't kill me" She said to him. she had been feed off of from many vampires, it had been part of the slayer training. how to resist the venom which gave you a flash high.

He smiled and pulled her close by her waist, and whispered against the skin on her neck, "I couldn't kill you, you are important to me." He held her close while he kissed then licked the place where he sunk his needle like teeth into the soft flesh of her neck and made a sound. I'd been so long since he had human blood. He drank a bit more than He normally would then licked the pinpricks closed. He held on to her, "Are you ok. You tasted wonderful." He said in a velvety voice and slid her hair back into place.

She pulled back once he removed his teeth " whoa i said feed nothing else and none of that sweet talk" She told him sternly. " so lets go get the human food" She said as she walked past him into the hall way. it was odd normally humans wouldn't be able to push him away in fact they'd be leaning more into him.

He was hurt, "I'm sorry, I guess. It's in my nature," He said with a wicked smile, "Oh and I will put away my instrument then take you for food." He frowned, "So you aren't ever going to be aloud to leave, and you're not going to let me have fun with my uh...meal?"

she ignored the hurt look he gave her. she was not a whore nor would she act like one for him. " alright I"ll wait in hallway" She said not commenting on his state meant of her ever being able to leave. once she was out of the house with him she'd make a run for it. her sister's place wasn't to far off she could make it there and to safety right?

Karolek went to return his instrument. While he put it away, he remembered that taste of his captive, and smiled. "I wonder if it could be true one of these days. Could she ever fall_no don't even think about it. She is nurishment and companionship, and even if we go out she will have to come back if she runs." He enjoyed that thought that the agreement made it so that any human wouldn't want to stay away for long. Yay blood writing. He chuckled to himself.

When he reappeared upstairs, he smiled at her, "Lets us get you some food," he said offering his arm.
